We're waiting with bated breath. Any other check-ins, please come down. KE7WKI.
All right, there's Dave, KE7WKI. Good morning, Dave. How you doing?
Doing great. Just climbed out of bed and the first thing I did this morning was jump to the radio. Good morning to everyone.
Okay. Unable to copy. Your voice is still a little distorted, a little Donald Ducky.
I'm not sure why that is, but maybe there's not enough bass there or something, or maybe you're a little off frequency. But anyway, Dave, good to have you with us. Appreciate you being there.
Can anybody give me a copy of what Dave said? Is anybody able to pick that up more clearly? Please come down to the relay.
AK6OK, good morning. He is way off frequency. Okay.
Jeff, AK6OK, thank you for being there. Yeah, Dave, KE7WKI, it just seems like you're off frequency, so try to correct that and maybe come back to us and we'll see if we can pick up your voice a little more clearly. Dave, KE7WKI, come back to us when you are ready.
K7WKI, is that any better? Way better. Way, way better.
Yeah. Now you're sounding normal. Go ahead.
All right. Good morning to everyone. Just getting started.
Waking up in the morning. Of course, I'll be switching back over to the radio. the laptop listening to you that way.
Alright, real good Dave. You fixed the problem. Thank you for that.
Appreciate. Okay, we got Dave KE7WKI checked in and Jeff AK6OK. Jeff, AK6OK, any prayer requests?
Go ahead. Uh, tomorrow Patty's gonna get her cast off. Let's hope that everything works absolutely perfect.
Would just love prayer for her. And I haven't had my coffee yet. Don't call me yet, man.
I just walked in the door, and I knew you had everything under control back. We do have it under control. So you go get your coffee.
We'll pray for Patty. Patty is getting her cast off of her arm. So that's good news.
and hopefully she will be able to regain full use of her elbow and all of her fingers because you know when you have all that stuff in a cast that doesn't want to move and then when you get it off and start moving things around that's where the difficulty comes you know i had my right arm almost cut in half with a chainsaw and that thing was in a cast for eight weeks and you know i never had much pain from the cut but boy the pain in my joints and my hands my wrist my elbow from being immobilized for all that time and then having to get those things going again that was difficult but anyway understand what patty's going through tell her we love her and she will do just fine. All right. Any other check-ins this morning?
Please come now. WB7VZL. And there he is.
All right, Roger. Good to have you with us. How are you and Darlene doing?
I think for Darlene being with a friend, Melissa in the emergency room with ended up being almost a whole day of ministry for her. And I've got oral surgery at 8 o'clock today. Peridotis still wants to modify my mouth so that he can...
make sure the teeth, the tooth doesn't decay with a pocket, food pocket that we can't seem to get clean. So anyway, I'm going to be living on soup for a while. That's WB7VZL.
Back to you, Max. Alright, well, we'll just continue to pray for Daylene's ministry to Melissa in the emergency room and also for your oral surgery, that that goes well. Yep, understand all about those pockets.
I left a voicemail on Daylene's phone yesterday about that Rhone Tower, but we can chat about that any old time, no rush. Probably the second week there in October would be when I could come up and get that. That would be October 5th through the 9th, something like that.
So if that works for you, we can coordinate about that. Roger, go ahead. Yeah, I left you a long message yesterday so you can catch up on some of the details.
I ran out of time on your phone. If it's not there, we can, yeah, call me any time, actually. Try to get me, and I'll try to do the same for you.
WB7-VZL. Yeah, copy that, Roger. I don't see that on my phone.
Maybe you might have called Kathy's. I'll check hers and see if it's there, but no voicemail on mine. Okay.
All right, real good, Roger. Thank you for that. We'll chat about that later.
All right, WB7MX, any last-minute check-ins, please come now. WB7AOT. All right, I think I heard WB7AOT, Daryl from Ham Lake, Minnesota, come back to me.
Good morning, Max and Roger and everyone back and all. This is WB7AOT, Ham Lake, Minnesota. Over.
All right, we copied Darrell, WB7AOT from Ham Lake, Minnesota. Darrell, good to have you with us. Thank you for checking in.
Always a great encouragement to hear your voice. All right, the net would also like to recognize Gene K7GWR. Good morning, Gene.
See you there on the Utah SDR. All right, any more check-ins? Come now.
All right, I think we've got everybody. I'm looking over my SDRs right now. It looks like everyone has been checked in.
And so we are going to get started with the West Coast Bible Study. We are in Psalm 90, that's Psalm 9-0. And so if you could be opening your Bibles to that and looking that over.
Before we get started, Jerry, KG6J is going to lead us in opening prayer. Jerry, KG6J, please pray for us. Thank you, Pastor Matt, KG6J.
Let's bow our heads. Heavenly Father, our God and our Lord, thank you for being the God you are. that you send the many blessings, you shower us with blessings and the mercy and your grace.
Thank you. And as we come to you this morning, we ask that you would bless this study, that you send your Holy Spirit to each one of us, Pastor Max, the teaching, the contributors, but for each one of us that we might pray. have understanding this morning and wisdom while we look at your words.
Thank you for all the work in our life that you send to us, and just thank you for being the God you are. And we wish this up to you in Jesus' name. Amen.
Back to Nick. Amen, Jerry. KG 6J, thank you so much for that prayer.
Really appreciate that. All right, we're in Psalm 90 today. Before we read Psalm 90, I want to give a little introduction to this psalm.
This psalm is filled with a reverent sadness. It's filled with sadness. because it recognizes the sinfulness of humanity and the ruin and the wrath and the death that that sinfulness has placed us under man is to be destroyed and consumed and cut off from God because of his sin our sin has brought us under death sentence from God our sin has placed us under his wrath and our sin has placed us under a cloud of sorrow and misery and grief all the days of our lives and this brings a great sense of sadness to the psalmist as he contemplates where sin has brought humanity But this psalm not only is filled with sadness, this psalm is also filled with reverence because it recognizes the eternality and the immutability and the righteousness of God.
In this psalm, there is no anger at God for the wrath that humanity receives for its sins. God is just and God is righteous as he meets out death and destruction and wrath against sinners. The majesty of God, the holiness of God, the power of God, the justice of God, the eternality of God, these things are expressed by the psalmist with the greatest of humility and reverence and respect possible.
for who God truly is. It is not God's fault that we have brought upon ourselves this condition of ruin through our own sins. And so we have to say, along with Pharaoh...
In Exodus 9, 27, quote, the Lord is righteous and I and my people are wicked. And so what we have here is a worshipful melancholy. What we have here is a reverent sadness.
What we have is a God-exalting sorrow, and what we have is a God-justifying grief. But there's also a note of hope, and that note of hope is contained in the plea for mercy that is expressed at the end of the psalm. That such a prayer would be uttered shows that there is faith that it will be answered.
Because God is not only a God of righteous wrath, he's also a God of compassionate mercy. It is God's mercy that can turn sorrow and grief into gladness and joy. Amen.
So that's the hope this psalm sets forth in the face of the sadness that it contains. Even when a man realizes that his sin has brought him to ruin and death, he can still cry out for God's mercy to be given, and for God's glory to be seen in his life and in his works. And so in the worst of circumstances, when we have caused all of our own trouble, and we are experiencing all the destruction that our choices have caused, there's still hope, hope in the mercy of God, that he will have pity on us and even yet deliver us and redeem us.
Now, the heading of this psalm tells us that it is a prayer of Moses, the man of God. Now, it's my belief, I can't prove it, but it's my belief that this psalm was written after the failure and sin at Kadesh Barnea. when Israel turned back against God and refused to enter into the land because of her unbelief.
And for that sin, that generation was condemned by God to 40 years of wasted wandering in the wilderness under the sentence of death until they all passed away under God's wrath. And perhaps as the years of weary wilderness wandering wore on, As Moses beheld a generation under the judgment of God, he was moved to write this psalm, recognizing the sadness of a lifetime forfeited and lost because of sin, and yet still hoping and praying for God's mercy and grace to be shown once again. so that joy and gladness could return, and so that the beauty of God's character and blessing could once again be restored to His people.
And we know that under Joshua, that beauty of God's character and blessing was restored, and judgment was replaced with mercy. Defeat was replaced with victory, and sadness was replaced with joy. as the children of Israel were victorious in finally entering the promised land.
And so the lesson of Psalm 90 is this. In the midst of judgment, never stop praying for mercy. Never give up hoping in God.
God had proclaimed himself to Moses earlier in Exodus 34 and verse 6 that he was merciful and gracious and abundant in goodness and truth. And so this psalm is an affirmation of belief in what God has said about himself, even in light of our awareness of what we know about ourselves, our fallenness, our sins. and all the problems that has brought upon us.
God is still a God of mercy. And even in the worst of circumstances, after doing the worst of things, we can still cry out to God for mercy and God will hear that prayer. Where sin abounds, grace does much more Alright, that is a little introduction to Psalm 90.
I'm going to ask Eric, KD7ES, if he would read to us and for us Psalm 90. Go ahead there, Eric. Okay, thank you, Pastor Max.
An excellent intro and summary on this psalm, and also good morning to everybody on the net. Reading from the New King James Version. Psalm 90: "Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations.
Before the mountains were brought forth, wherever you had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God. You turn man to destruction and say, "Return, O children of men, for a thousand years in your sight are like yesterday when it is past, and like a watch in the night, You carry them away like a flood. They are like a sleep.
In the morning they are like grass which grows up. In the morning it flourishes and grows up. In the evening it is cut down and withers.
For we have been consumed by your anger. and by your wrath we are terrified. You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your countenance.
For all our days have passed away in your wrath. We finish our years like a sigh. The days of our lives are like a sigh.
We are like are seventy years, and if by reason of strength they are eighty years. Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow, for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Who knows the power of your anger?
For as the fear of you, so is your wrath. So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Return, O Lord, how long?
And have compassion on your servants. O, satisfy us thoroughly with your mercy, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Make us glad according to the days in which you have afflicted us, the years in which we have seen evil.
Let your work appear to your servants and your glory to their children. And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us and establish the work of our hands for us. Yes, establish the work of our hands.
And that is Psalm 90. All right, Eric, KD7ES, real good reading. Thank you for that.
All right, any comments on this psalm? Please come down with your call sign. WB7VZL.
WB7VZL. Okay, we had a double there. First we'll go with Roger and then Eric.
Roger, WB7VZL, please go ahead. Well, thank you, Eric, for that reading. And I...
I was pondering the time between when God said to Moses, "Well, because of you displaying your disobedience or your anger, and you misrepresented me, then you won't be able to enter the Promised Land." the earthly promised land. And he had, as you indicated, he had plenty of time to contemplate the effects and the chastisement of God, both corporately, as you say, you highlighted my the tremendous pondering of not being able to actually enter the Promised Land with His people. So I can sure agree that somewhere before His death in Deuteronomy 33 and 34 that there was a tremendous amount of thinking about the promise land.
his work and also pondering about his future in the Lord. And, of course, the beauty of all this is seeing it from our eyes, we see... Moses and Elijah, representing the patriarchs and also the prophets, are encouraging Jesus where they failed, so to speak.
They encouraged Jesus to move forward at the Transfiguration. It's a wonderful encouragement to Jesus as well as to us that the resurrection is no problem for our great God. Roger, what a brilliant analysis of the Psalms.
Thank you for that. You know, I really appreciate the way you brought in not only the corporate failure at Kadesh Barnea, which is a source of this reverent sadness, this lost opportunity, but also the individual failure of Moses. when he struck the rock, when God told him just to speak to it.
And God said to him, you dishonored me before the people, and therefore you won't be able to enter the promised land. And, you know, what we see is that the people of God often fail. I often fail.
I think of my own life and how things could have gone so much better had I not fallen into this sin or that sin throughout my lifetime. And yet, in the midst of that sense of personal failure, there is the confidence in God that he never fails and that his plan is going to go forward, his goals are going to be achieved, His people are going to be saved and His glory is going to be accomplished. Even in the midst of human failure, He transcends that and even uses that for His own purposes.
And so, yeah, when they were on the Mount of Transfiguration and Moses and Elijah were there with the Lord Jesus, encouraging Him to go ahead and achieve and accomplish... his substitutionary death for their redemption and our redemption and the redemption of all those who trust in him. So it was a forward-looking psalm that indeed one day there would be mercy, there would be redemption, and the character of God, the beauty of that character would be upon us.
and that we too would bear the image of Jesus because of his saving work. And all of that sin and all of that failure would be washed away and cleansed in the blood of Christ. And so we turn from the sadness of our own corporate failure and our own individual failure as the people of God to the one who never failed, the Lord Jesus.
He didn't grow weary or discouraged in the work God gave him to do. He sinlessly accomplished all that was given to him. And in his accomplishment is our faith and our trust.
Roger, thank you for that. That was such a huge encouragement to me. All right, that brings us to Eric, KD7ES.
Eric, you had a comment. Please go ahead. Yeah, thank you and thank you Roger for your comments as well.
And I was sitting down reading this last night and I think I read through it three times before I kind of started nodding off, but one of the things that really stood out to me as I read this is verse 4 and then also verse 12 and it just brought to my recall you know, the brevity of life itself. And, you know, there's some passages, I think in 2 Peter 3a, where it talks about, you know, that one day is with the Lord is a thousand years, and a thousand years is one day. And then also in James 4, verse 14, it says, What is your life?
it is even a vapor and so as i've gotten older and i've aged and i'm not as old as many on here but uh i just have realized you know that um you know life is short and it's it's it's it's fragile and so i've learned to lean on the lord and trust on him and and um to spend more time with Him and His Word and His people. That's the most important thing. That's my thought.
Life is very short and we need to be mindful and redeem the time when we can. I've tried to do that in my life as I've gotten older and be more conscientious of that, I guess. So those are my thoughts and my comments.
And back to you, KD78. Yes. Hey, Eric.
Great comment. Thank you for that. Yeah, time is precious.
Time is irreplaceable. And time can't be saved, but it can be redeemed. You know, whatever happened yesterday is forever in the books of eternity.
There's no going back and changing that or undoing that, either for good or for evil. But there is redemption with reference to the sins, and there is reward with reference to the good things that we did. And so here we are starting a new day.
We've got, you know, maybe 15, 16 hours ahead of us before we go to sleep again. What are we going to do with today? Are we going to redeem the time, as you said?
Are we going to live today for the glory of God? You know, somebody once said, you can't do anything about the past, but you can do something about the future. And today is the first day of the rest of your life.
So let's make sure that from this point forward, we dedicate our lives to serving God, loving God, living for God, bearing witness to His Son, our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. and encouraging other people to come to faith, building the kingdom, engaging in worship. Those are all the things we can do.
Pursuing our vocation with integrity, whatever that may be. All of those things cause today to be a day that is well invested, where we lay up treasure in heaven, where neither moth nor rust is corrupt, and thieves do not break through and steal. So as we serve the Lord today, And as we accomplish his will for our lives, the day is not just used, it's invested.
And it's not just spent, it's laid up for the future. Eric, those are great comments. Thank you for that.
The net would also like to acknowledge Don AC7KW. Good morning, Don. See you there on the Utah SDR.
Also, Dan, N6T&I. Dan, good to have you with us. Appreciate you being there.
All right, any other comments on problem 90? Please come down. OK, 87.
OK, 6OK. All right, I think we had a double there, but we'll go with-- Jeff, please go ahead. Yeah, Max, you know, the other day you were here with Kathy, and we were packing Bibles up and getting them ready to ship, and they're going to ship today.
And I remember you crawling around on your hands and knees, pulling shrink wrap around these pallets. Some difficult work to do. And I was just reading a little bit of a commentary, and it reminds me of what you and all of us were doing.
In Psalm 90, Moses focuses on God's greatness and our human weakness and our need for the Lord to provide grace everywhere. day for our daily needs. One thing that Moses was talking is to number our days and this caught my attention.
Well, this poetic psalm may not literally mean to count each day by number. It focuses on the need to live every day for maximum impact. Obviously that day we were doing something pretty mighty in the kingdom of God and that is packing up palace of 2000 bibles that are heading out of here and every single bible has a name on it and as paul wrote be careful then how you live not as unwise but as wise making the most of every opportunity because the days are evil that's out of ephesians 5 15 through 16 god is calling us to use every moment of every day to honor him.
And the work that you did a few days ago, a couple days ago, is now going to be moving on. And we're every step of the way. Now we've got a trucker that's going to haul us to a base, and when that base distributes these Bibles, those things are going to go all over the world.
gotta be careful what we do every day make sure it's for the glory of God and one more comment match I ate the last piece of berry pie all a moon and just thinking about you guys yesterday over all right I've got that pie found a good home and passed over some appreciative taste but yeah you know EVERY DAY, YOU KNOW, WHEN WE DO THINGS, IT'S LIKE, "WELL, THAT WAS A LITTLE THING." BUT YOU KNOW, ALL THOSE LITTLE THINGS REALLY ADD UP IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD. WHEN YOU THINK OF HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF CHRISTIANS EVERY DAY DOING SOMETHING FOR THE LORD, in a little corner of the kingdom, in a warehouse, you know, in a home, in a place of business, prayer offered in a car as it's driving down the road, you know, gospel tract handed out, you know, fellowship engaged in. That stuff adds up.
And every day we're investing in the kingdom, we're striving to use our time for God because, you know, we're not our own, right? We're bought with a price. And therefore, we're to glorify God in our body and our spirits, which are God's.
And so time is not to be used. It's to be recognized as a stewardship, a stewardship to be used in the service of God. So, you know, I just hate it when people say, oh, yeah, I'm just killing time.
Man, time is not to be killed. It is to be viewed as a precious, precious, finite resource. And, Jeff, I think that's why he brings out here about teach us to number our days, right?
And as you said, it isn't about like counting each day, but it is about recognizing that I have a limited number of these things. And, you know, he mentions 70 years or maybe by reason of strength, 80 years. You know, our brother Jim N7BK is into his 90s now.
But the bottom line is, is none of us get to live forever. And some have shorter lifespans, some have longer, but whatever lifespan God has given allocated to us, it's a stewardship. And we need to manage it as such and recognize that our time is not our own.
It's been purchased by Christ and it's to be used for Him. So, Jeff, thanks for that perspective. and for those encouraging words.
All right, the net would like to acknowledge Bruce, Kilo Delta Zero, Echo Quebec Kilo. That's KD zero E-Q-K. Bruce, thanks for being there with us on the Utah SDR.
All right, any other comments or check-ins this morning, please come now. - KB7 ZXM. - Okay, Kevin, KB7 ZXM.
Go ahead, please. Well thank you Max. Wonderful comments this morning on this passage.
And this is a very solemn text as you pointed out Max. You know, coming out of Numbers 14, the word "to be And you can only imagine a whole generation that has seen the Exodus one year after another. How many funerals there must have been each year for 40 years as more of that generation died from the divine wrath of God.
That had to be quite a sobering and solemn recognition for Moses and for the new upcoming generation as well. But there's a wonderful old hymn by Isaac Watts that is probably the most notable hymn out of this. "O God, our help in..." What is it?
"O God, our help in ages past." It's a wonderful hymn that comes out of this. But one thing we do see is God takes His Word seriously, takes His promise seriously. But also as a reminder that we need to take His Word and His promise seriously as well.
We can't trust in His Word. It reminds me of the old story, I can't remember exactly, about the kids that were mischievous at church one day, and they decided they were going up to, and they got a little glue stick and glued a few pages of the pastor's Bible together. And so the next Sunday, the pastor was reading out of the book of...
Genesis there and it started talking about that Noah had taken on his wife and he turned the page and it says she was 40 cubits by 60 cubits. He says, well, I don't know about all that, but if the Bible says says it, I'm going to believe it, you know. Anyway, be careful of those sticks, but we can't trust in God's Word.
KB7 is that example. Yeah, Kevin. That's really funny.
Those rascal kids. In any event, you know, you are so right. I did the math while you were talking here, and you know, when you figure there were at least 3 million, and you did the math, and how many deaths did there have to be every day, there was around 100 to 200 funerals every single day during that 40 years in the I don't know how many people there were exactly, but there were at least, at least 100 funerals every day for 40 years as that generation died off.
The next generation was born, and the younger generation grew up. So imagine that. 100 funerals a day and the sadness the pall of sadness that there must have been over that group recognizing that each of those deaths was a result of the judgment of God thank you for that comment Kevin alright any other comments please come down 5 Yankee.
Back is in there. Yeah, go ahead. Yeah, did you get Kilo 7 November Echo Bravo?
Kilo 7 November Echo Bravo. We checked him in. Keith, did you have a comment?
Yeah, just a second. I think I got something here. Yeah.
Thank you for that, Beck. I got a comment here from Keith, K7NEB. Keith says this, with verse 12, it says, teach us to number our days.
He says we're called to live our days like we're dying and we are in our final days. That's how we should live today as we are taught that even our 70 to 80 years are a drop in the bucket of time, given God's point of view. So You know, when we're young, we think we've got a lot of time ahead of us, right?
And then as we get older and we realize, boy, I don't have much time left, we're a lot more careful and thoughtful about how we use our time. And I think that that's something that Keith is pointing out to us, is that we need to live as though tomorrow is our last day. And what would we do today if we knew that tomorrow was our last day?
How would we invest our time? Well, I dare say we wouldn't fritter away on stupid things like we so often spend our time. And so this consciousness that if today were my last day, how would I invest it, I think is a good perspective to have.
And Keith, K7NEB, I appreciate you bringing that out to us in the text message that you sent to me. Beck, Alpha Alpha 5 Yankee, back to you. Now that was it.
I just wanted to announce K7NEB. All right. Thank you for that.
Appreciate that. Okay. So, yeah, he sent me that text message.
All right. Any other comments on our song? Please come down.
Yeah, among this group, this is probably not going to be anything real profound, but what really stands out to me is in R2, where the transceiver I have is from a target range to a target area. You are. And when I think about that, I tend to be fascinated with the outer space and the distance and the fact that it takes life, you know, so long to get, you know, when you're looking at a distance, you're actually looking back at the time.
which I think I probably should have in the 80s. But I didn't really like the specificity of the eternal nature of the book. And in fact, if you count the size of my book, no one said that every aspect of my life was a true truth.
Like, in a sense, it's weird, but, you know, he's always there. Amen, Scott. What a great thought.
And, you know... That goes along with that interesting phrase in verse 1, Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. And, you know, Israel was a nation without a land from the time of Abraham until...
the time that this psalm was written, a period of about 450 years, right? Israel had no land in which to dwell. Instead, she dwelt in the presence of God.
And so the Lord God had been the place of Israel's abode. She had dwelt in him. And he was the security and substance in which she rested.
And so God was Israel's home wherever she happened to be geographically. Because it's not the place you dwell in, but the God you dwell with that really matters. And so a mansion without God is a hovel of poverty.
And an open field where God is present is a glorious palace. And, you know, just that sense that God is the one who is always there, always has been there, always will be there. And wherever I go and whenever I get there, God is there.
And you're right, from eternity to eternity. Out in space, here on earth, in the present, in the future, God is always omnipresent. And it's that which is a huge comfort to us, that whatever our circumstances are and however they change, in wherever we're at, whether here or at our desk or somewhere else, God is there and it's in his presence that we dwell that is if you will our dwelling place geographic geography doesn't matter what matters is the fact that he's there the circumstances don't matter what matters is that he's there and thank you for pointing that out scott a great insight.
Really appreciate that comment. All right. We're about out of time.
I think we've got time for one or two more comments. Any other comments on our passage, please come down. You know, what's interesting to think about is that...
You know, not only is the place we're at not permanent, the Earth we're standing on isn't even permanent. Right. We could say, well, the Earth is my dwelling place.
You know, this Earth wasn't always there, and it's not always going to be there. It's going to be dissolved and remade. And so the earth is not even a permanent dwelling place.
God is the one who's eternal, and only he is the permanent place in which we can find a permanent home. um So God's eternal, man's transitory. If we're going to have any security, stability, or certainty, it has to be in God and not in ourselves and not in our circumstances.
And so I think, by way of closing, you know, we need to make this prayer our prayer. When it says in verse 14, Oh, satisfy us early with thy mercy. that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us and the years wherein we have seen evil. Let thy work appear unto thy servants and thy glory unto their children and let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us. And establish thou the work of our hands upon us, yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
And so as the character of the Lord God is upon us, And as he owns and uses the work of our hands in his service and kingdom, that's where the peace comes. That's where the joy comes. That's where the sense of purpose comes from.
And that's where the resolution from the wasted past comes, is that someday I will be like him for I will see him as he is. And someday he will take my works, cleanse them of all of the sin that they have attached to them, and that will come forth as gold and silver and precious stones, and we will receive a reward. So in the midst of sorrow over our sinfulness, and the fallenness of this world.
Let's put our focus on God, our hope in God, and continue to serve God, because that's the only life that will ultimately turn out to have mattered. All right, WB7MAX here. Looking for any final prayer requests before Jerry leads us in prayer.

I'll be clear and standing by. WV7MX, KXX, WXP, I hear in the prayers the last few days about someone in need of carburetor repair. Where is that located?
Is it anywhere near me? Let's see. That is Lee, AL7KG, and he is in Tenile, Washington.
I'm not sure I'm here. QTH. Go ahead there, Joe.
Oh, yeah. I'm in Vacaville down here below Jeff by about 40 miles. But, Doug, I'm going to help that guy out.
I'm a wizard with those. All right, Joe. Real good.
Thanks for the offer, and I wish that was the case, but yeah, that's quite the distance between you and him. So anyway, Joe, appreciate the offer. Thank you for that.
I'm sure Lee will get it sorted one way or the other, but appreciate the offer. Joe, KI6WXP. the WB7MX.
All right, any other comments? Please come down. One more.
If he, you know, get on the QRZ, I'm good there with emails. If he just needs questions, you know, questions answered or anything else like that, some kind of guidance, I could do that too. Copy that.
I will see to it that he gets that information. Lee, AL7KG, are you still on the radio with us? Go ahead.
All right, I have his phone number. I will text message him your information, Joe, and we'll go from there. Thank you so much for that offer.
Really appreciate it. You're welcome. That's it.
That's it. Carry on. Thank you for the net.
That was a very good one this morning. All right, Joe. Really appreciate your fellowship and presence with us, and good to have you.
And thanks for the offer. All right, WB7MX here looking for any comments. Standing by for any call signs.
Please come now. I just had a question for you. You were talking at the beginning of a chainsaw accident that you experienced and that sounded pretty bad.
I was wondering how that happened. Yeah, copy that. I and my father were cutting firewood together and I was foolishly standing too close to him and he had a kickback and the saw came back and I put up my arm to protect myself and yeah, got my right arm, forearm cut very, very, very badly.
But the surgeons were able to put it all back together and I have full use of my right hand with no disability, so I have a lovely scar. But yeah, God was good and the lesson there is keep a distance from somebody who's operating a chainsaw. It's WB7MAX back to you Scott.
OK, well good. I'm glad yeah. This you didn't go on that arm or.
Seriously, I mean. Turn down. Told me.
A lot of people will not realize. you know, where there are a lot of people who are being kicked or something like that. Seriously, I'm just curious.
But anyway, good to hear you. Thanks again for the study. Appreciate the ministry on the air here.
This is great for me. So you have a wonderful day. And I'm going to attend to my class here.
Start here in about 15 minutes. All right, Scott, real good. You have a great class.
Yep, I've worked as a timber faller and, of course, I've cut the Wren chainsaw my whole life. And so, yeah, good leather boots and chainsaw chaps, boy, those have saved me more than once. So I can't recommend using chainsaw chaps highly enough.
Been cutting the leg, don't want to be cut there anymore. I worked in the days before chaps were even invented. And once they came along, I have used them and been saved twice by them.
All right, Scott, KD7YQT, have a great day with your teachings. All right, WB7MAX, standing by for comment. Beck, Alpha Alpha 5 Yankee, you got our joke for today?
Yeah, I sure do. First, I want to say that Weezer, our Weiser, is back up. But for some reason today, the audio that I was hearing from your transmission and others was not up to par like it used to be.
So I'm... thinking possibly he lost his antenna and spent some contemporary up or some kind of change took place. The signals sound pretty good today, so I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be a good signal.
So, today's joke. Why did the can crusher quit his job? Why did the can crusher quit his job?
Boy, anybody want to take a stab at that? Go ahead. What was the question?
Why did the can crusher quit? quit his job. And because he got crushed?
Yeah, okay. Beck, tell us. Because it was so done Depressing.
Because it was soda depressing. That's good, Beck. I like that.
All right. Good joke there. Why did the cane crusher quit his job?
Because it was soda depressing. All right. Any other comments or observations come down with your call sign?
I like that. Kevin, did you have a comment? I thought I heard your voice again.
Go ahead. Oh, I like that. It's a cute joke.
Yeah, I copy that. I heard you real well on Utah. Okay, any other comments, please come down with your call sign.
Everybody have a blessed day. Alpha Alpha 5 Yankee, QRT. All right, Beck, Alpha Alpha 5 Yankee, you and Sandy have a great day and we'll talk to you tomorrow, God willing.
All right, WB7MX, standing by. What was yesterday's joke? I meant to tell the wife that one, but now I can't remember it.
Uh, Beck, do you remember yesterday's joke? I think he's gone. I don't recall what it was, um...
Maybe if I thought for a while, but those things kind of come and go. And anybody remember yesterday's joke, come with your callsign. Appreciate you trying.
Maybe I'll get in tomorrow and ask them the day before the joke. Maybe it hasn't written down. But, yeah, my memory sometimes works good.
Sometimes it don't. Copy that, copy that. Yeah, especially as you get older, it's more like a sieve, right?
You pour stuff in and it flows out about as fast as it flows in. Yeah, okay. He probably has those written down somewhere, I'm guessing.
But in any event, we'll quiz him tomorrow and see if we can get that. All right, WB7MX looking for comments. Come now with your call sign Alright well I am going to get on with my day Good talking to all you guys today Good perspectives on Psalm 90 Very sobering psalm one that causes us to reflect on how we're using our time and what we're using it for and who we're serving each moment of each day all right god bless each one i will see you all tomorrow this wb7 max i'll be clear and qrt Oh.
