Yeah, good morning, Max. Good morning, everybody. Very, very successful surgery yesterday.

And I got in there at 1130, out at 330. So that was nice. She did a nerve block on her arm, so she can't feel her arm at all for about three days here.

She's getting used to that, but she's got good spirits. Everything is going to come out just fine. And you guys, thank you for your prayers.

There's always another praise report. I'm sorry. Good job.

Thank you. All right. Thank you for that.

Appreciate that, Jeff. And we're glad to hear that Patty's surgery went well. So, Alex, AJ7TQH.

We got a praise report from Jeff, aka "She's OK." Patty's surgery went really well on her wrist, which she broke when she was kicking the boulder, I think in the kitchen. In any event, Al, let's be sure and include the praise report. We also can take a look at Patty.

She's certainly not out of the woods yet. She needs to recover nerve feelings. from that nerve block and also just healing of that wrist.

Go ahead there, Al. KJ-722H. Thank you.

All right, real good. Okay, WB7MX here looking for check-ins. Please come out for call.

All right, real good, Brian. Brian, KJ7PWM does our recording of our nets for us. Those are up on our website, westcoastbiblestudy.com, and anyone can listen to those if you want.

Brian's been having some technical difficulties with some of the recordings. I haven't gone real well, but please back up your seat, and we appreciate you back up your seat there, Brian, and thank you for doing that ministry on behalf of all of us. All right, any other questions this morning before we get started?

Thank you. Kevin, CP7Z extension, back to you. Yes, I'm here, Max.

Yeah, good. Do you think you can open a paraforce there and start the bottle study over? I'd be delighted.

Just let me know when you're ready. All right, copy that, Kevin. Thank you for that.

All right, are there any other check-ins to West Coast Bottle Study? Please come out if you're possible. All right, this is WB7MX, net control for the West Coast Wild West Study.

I am operating remotely from Elk Grove, California, from a friend's house via the internet and a remote operation with just radio. California so I think his technical expertise I am able to run the net while I'm on the road I'm going to Pleasanton today to speak at a conference and that's why I'm away from home. I had a good safe journey yesterday I drove about eight hours no problems smooth as glass.

I'm glad to be here and glad to be able to talk with you all from a remote location. All right, this is WB7MX, and it's time for us to get started with our Bible study. So I'm going to ask Kevin, KB7ZX, and you, Elder, go ahead, Kevin.

Very good. Let us bow our hearts in prayer. Our most gracious and loving Father, we do thank you so much this day for all your blessings and your mercies, Lord.

We thank you for the forgiveness of our sins and the sacrifice that was given for us on behalf of us for our sins. We also lift up these praises and these prayers this morning, Lord. We thank you for all the answers to prayers.

So many times that we don't take proper notice of. but we thank you so much for hearing our prayers, for answering our prayers. And, Lord, as we look into the Word today, we see more prayers coming up to you, Lord, for your hand of...

Father, we also ask for... traveling mercies for Max and others that will be traveling this day and the coming days, Lord. And we just ask that you keep them safe.

Father, again, we thank you for this time that we can gather and look into your word and ask for a blessing on this study. In Jesus' name, amen. Thank you.

Amen, Kevin. Thank you so much for that. I just got a text message from Eric KD7ES, and the NetLogger is up.

I'll be listening and logging. All right, Eric KD7ES, we have you checked in, and we appreciate you being there. I don't have access to NetLogger this morning, and so unable to see that, Eric, but appreciate you keeping track of our check-in.

All right, this WB7NXR scripture passage today that we're going to be looking at is Psalm 83. I'm going to give a little introduction to Psalm 83 before we get started with our study. The background to this psalm appears to be being recorded in 2 Chronicles 20.

Now we studied 2 Chronicles 20 a while back and it will become familiar to you as I jog your memory. Well, in 2 Chronicles 20, the Confederacy of Nations conspired together to invade Israel and destroy her as a nation, much like the Muslims want to do to Israel today. Of course, all the Islamic nations today are united in their desired effort to see Israel annihilated and conspired together to achieve that goal.

And Islam would like nothing better than to see Israel obliterated and her people slaughtered until no Jew is left alive. Well, what a conspiracy of hatred that we have before us in this song today. All of these nations mentioned in this song have conspired together to invade and cut off Israel from being a nation with the goal that Israel may be remembered no more.

into the midst of historical forgetfulness, just like so many nations have in human history. But Israel is not alone in this battle. She too has an ally.

Her helper is not a conspiracy of other nations. Her helper is the living God. And so there are ten conspirators who are listed here in our passage, who are banded together in order to destroy Israel.

And they virtually surround Israel. But Israel is all alone except for, as I said, one ally, and that ally is God. So, you know, one God is an infinitely greater force than all her enemies put together.

Whoever sets themselves against God and his people is, of course, a fool. He that sits in their house shall laugh at all of those who set themselves against the Lord and against those who attend him. And so it is in 2 Chronicles 20 when the Lord fought for Israel and the conspiracy of Confederates went down to defeat.

You remember Jehoshaphat letting people out, they were singing, they were praising and God caused the Confederate nations to turn against each other and slaughter one another and Israel never even had to fear. for us, the world and the devil and the flesh all conspire together to defeat us in spiritual warfare and to destroy our spiritual lives but the Lord fights with us and the Lord fights for us and he will win the victory on our behalf so there is our calling what do you do? What do you do when it seems like everyone's against you?

Well, you do what the psalmist did. You take it to the Lord in prayer, you lay it at his feet, and you ask him for help. We need to understand not every perception of a conspiracy is some paranoid fantasy.

Sometimes there really is a conspiracy of people against the godly, as it was in this case. And what's real? as often is the case, the message of our psalm is don't fear.

He fights for you, and your enemies are known to him, and they're under his control, and he's going to defeat them. So that's the message and the comfort of this passage, and we're going to be discussing this together. All right, Roger, WB7VZL, read for us.

Psalm 83, I would appreciate that. Go ahead, Roger. WB7VZL, reading NASB.

O God, do not remain quiet. Do not be silent, and, O God, do not be still. For behold, thine enemies make an uproar, and those who hate thee have exalted themselves.

They make shrewd plans against thy people and conspire together against thy treasured ones. They have said, Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more. For they have conspired together with thy mind against thee.

Do they make a covenant? The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites, Jebel and Ammon and Amalek, Elisha with the inhabitants of Tyre, Assyria has joined with them, and they have become a help to the children of Lot. Deal with them as with Midian, as with Sisera and Jabin at the torrent of Kishon.

who were destroyed at Endor, who became as done for the ground, make their nobles like Orba and Zeb, and all their princes like Zeba and Zalmunna, who said, Let us possess for ourselves the pastures of God. Verse 13. Oh, my God, make them like the whirling dust, like shaft before the wind, like fire that burns the forest.

and like a flame that sets the mountains on fire. So pursue them with thy tempest, and terrify them with thy storm. Fill their faces with dishonor, that they may seek thy name, O Lord.

Let them be ashamed and dismayed forever, and let them be humiliated and perished. And that they may know that thou alone, whose name is the Lord, art God. The most high overall.

WB7, visit L. Back to you at WB7. MAX.

All right, Roger. Great reading. Thank you for that.

And I would like to acknowledge Peter, KJ7BA. Good morning, Peter. See you there on the block at the yard.

And I would also like to acknowledge... KT2KT That's Kilo Tango 2 Kilo Tango Kenny with us on the road Appreciate you being here brother And also we got WWAF Bernie Thank you for being with us That's Whiskey Whiskey 8 Foxtrot Okay we caught up on our check ins Appreciate all of you that have checked in today, either by way of NetLogger or by way of VR or by way of voice. All right.

Any comments on what Roger read to us, please come down to the call line. Hi. WV7, is it open?

Go ahead, Roger. Verse 16 gave me kind of a ray of hope. It's kind of like Paul saying, "Excite them for the church." that he might be considered a heathen so that you can witness to him so that maybe he'll repent and come back.

Verse 16: "And they shall be faced with dishonor, that they may seek thy name, O Lord." I thought that was very gracious in the psalmist over. Yeah, Roger, thank you for pointing that out. And you were exactly right.

Not only does he want his enemies to be defeated from destroying him, he also wants to see them filled with shame. And the reason he wants them filled with shame is because you have to be, come into a state of humility before you can come into a state of conversion. And so it's really important that these people not just be destroyed outright, but that they be defeated, that they'd be humiliated, and as a result of that, they become converted.

Because a lot of what happens is filled with pride. They reject Christ as Savior, so they need to be humbled so that they can be saved. So that's what's going on here.

His desire is not just their destruction, but their conversion. And, you know, that's how we love our enemies. We pray that God would bring sufficient deceit into their lives, sufficient humility into their lives, so they could see their need of salvation and so they can see Christ.

Anyway, Roger, great observation. And we see coming through this desire for justice, also a desire for salvation. So there's a note here of outrage at the evil they've done, but also a note of compassion desiring their salvation.

Back to you there, Roger. Yeah, as I was reading that, I said, oh, that sounds a bit more gospel-oriented. And I have to remember, as I read this, that we find in our passage an explicit reference to the lot.

In other words, who was part of the related to Abraham, and of course... That is amazing. So there was special...

Let's see, what verse does it mention Lot? I'm looking here and I'm not seeing it immediately, but yeah, Lot was nephew of Abraham. Yeah, Roger, thanks for pointing it out.

Yeah, we have Moab and Ammon, who are both the children of Lot. And then we've also got Esau, who is the descendant of Abraham as well, of course, the brother of Jacob. And so the Edomites, of course.

And so we've got the Edomites, who are the descendants of Esau. We've got the Edomites. and we've got the Ammonite and all three of those are the sons of Abraham the last two through Lot so what's amazing here is that those who are supposed to be of the family actually are turning against it and we often see that people that we think are fellow believers or at least in the realm of Christendom wind up fighting against those who are seeking to follow and serve God and so That's disappointing.

You would think it would just be the Roth-Hagins who would be fighting the people of God, but sometimes what you do in some way or another is going to be among some of the worst. So Roger, thanks for that insight. All right, any other comments on this passage?

Please come down to the phone. That makes sense. Kevin, give me some of that extent.

Yeah, give me some of that extent. Good comments. And, you know, let me speak on the first thing.

I just wanted to reflect on two of the contexts of this. It is under somewhat debate on which events, the time period this took place. But the fact is, no matter when it was, the enemies had surrounded them.

And they were out to Israel's destruction. They wanted to wipe them off the map. I mean, I know that's never happened since then too, right?

And the introduction here, or the first verses, they're pleading, is coming from a place that I think is worth noting, in that God apparently has been silent. He has not spoken to them through his word. He has not taken action.

And this is a prayer for God's hand of intervention. And I know... oftentimes the circumstances are way beyond our ability to deal with them or control them or affect them in a meaningful way, oftentimes then we turn to God.

And of course we should stop there as we talk. uh, many times about here. Uh, clearly there is a great conspiracy.

They are planning and plotting and, and, and conspiring to wipe Israel off the face of the earth here. And, uh, And so their plea to God is one of God's pleased intervenes. And again, we see there, too, that for your namesake, for your people's sake, for your treasure's sake, those that you've set aside as special covenants.

please pray for intervection and then I think the point of that intervention the example they give is a good one as in the Midianites you know when the Midianites were way out numbered them and Gideon God called Gideon to stand and face the Gideonites speaking Gideon had no power of his own and certainly was not a man of the type of stature that would go into battle and face them but it was God with God's hand, God's intervention and God that defeated the Midianites and so they're praying they know they're outnumbered, they know the odds are against them, they know that the circumstances are such that without God's hand there is no hope but with God we know all things are possible and yes they want the destruction of the enemy they want the humiliation and the shame of the enemy but I think it's so important as Roger pointed out this verse their motivation ultimately is that they be humiliated and ashamed and defeated that they might know that God is God and you know that what a prayer And that's not an easy prayer when those animals destroy you. They're not just after their destruction for destruction's sake. They want the divine intervention and the divine judgment to come upon them that they might know is who he says he is.

And the only way of salvation, TB7 is that example. Yes, Kevin, well said. And thank you for pointing out those verses there in verses 9 and following where, you know, the defeat of the conspiracy is pretty cool.

And Paul is looking back on the history of Israel, as you said, and he talks there, In verse 11, well, he talks in verse 9, he says, Do unto them as unto the Midianites, as the sister of David, which perished at Indore. Verse 10, verse 11, he says, like Orban, Zia, Ye, all their princes, Ziba, and Zalmunna, who said, let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession. So, as you said, Kevin, this isn't the first time a conspiracy has made an effort to destroy Israel off the face of the earth.

And in the past, God took out the Midianites, we see that in Judges chapter 7 and God took out Jabin the king of Canaan a sister religious general and we saw them all taken out in Judges chapter 4 and 5 so there is precedent for God taking in hand and destroying those who would destroy Israel do this in the present, what you've done in the past, and Lord, deal with these people that are trying to eliminate Israel from the face of the earth. And so it's always an encouragement to us when we're in the middle of spiritual battle to be looking back on previous deliverances that God dropped on behalf of his people and use those to bolster our faith, to provide a foundation and content for our prayer, so that we can look for present deliverance just like we've had in the past. Great comment.

Appreciate it. WB7N, the exterior net control for the Western Society study. Any more comments on our passage, please come down to the call center.

I'm sorry. AK6 is OK. Jeff is in there.

AK6 is OK. Hi Max, I know switching all this stuff is a challenge. In 6-8, 6-8.

from the one thing I wanted to point out here Edom and the Ishmaelites Moab and Hagrite Gebel and Ammon and Amalek Philistia and the Tyrians and now Assyria has joined us giving muscle to the gang of Lot The gang of what? And I was thinking about that compared with the current gangs we fight here. This has been going on a long time.

That is a little bit of a different twist in the message that you don't get out of the NASB. I know it's a translation, but it just kind of caught my eye this morning. Over.

Yeah, copy that. Thank you for pointing that out. Yeah, it is a gang.

I mean, we've got ten nations conspiring together, and of course, your translation talks about the gang of lot. pull together, make a strong organization, and do everything they can to tear down Christians and Christianity and the Bible, the truth of the word of God. They attack churches.

And, you know, it's easy to look at the enemy and be afraid. at their overwhelming power and resources. But we have to look at God, who has greater power and greater resources than all enemies put together.

And you know, Jeff, when you think about the insurgents and the wives of Antioch, right? in his one world national coalition of all nations. And Christ defeats him and them.

And so if Christ can defeat Antichrist and the entire world united together in fighting against him, he can certainly defeat these lesser enemies. And that's a great encouragement to us. So thanks for pointing out the power.

of this conspiracy by calling it a gang. And, you know, if a gang shows up and you're by yourself, boy, that's pretty intimidating. But then when you realize, well, God loves you, you can take out any gang of individuals or nations that he pleases to do.

A great comment there, Jeff. All right, WB7M next year. Looking for other comments, please come down to the call center.

All right, and then we'd like to acknowledge Phil, K6810C. Good morning, Phil. Good to see you there on the FDR.

Appreciate you being there. Phil, K6810C, we've got you checked in. All right, any other comments?

Who's coming up? W6YSI. W6YSI, please, please go ahead.

I'd just like to read a couple of verses Psalms chapter 2, it's mindful of what's going on in this world that we're living in today. Verse 1, why do the nations make a tumult? and the people devise an empty scheme.

Kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers consult together against the Lord and his anointed, saying, Let us tear their restraining bands apart, and let us cast their shackles from us. So there, to me, I see that, you know, they... hell they don't want to hear anything about Christianity they don't want to hear anything about Jesus those are shackles they they want them torn away and that's to me that's what's going on W6YSI yeah the great comment and great connection with Psalm 2 yes their attitude is is let us break God's bands of thunder, let us cast God's cords from us.

Now, when you think about bands of cords, those are things that restrain us, okay? And so the law of God restrains us from doing evil. For example, it restrains us from killing, stealing and lying and committing adultery etc right and so what they're saying is we need to be restrained by God's law we want to do our own thing okay and so we have this very day individuals and groups of individuals and large conspiracies of nations working together saying we're not going to obey God well you know he that sits in the heavens shall laugh the Lord will have them in derision.

You don't get to cast off God's bands and break his cords and sundry. You're not strong enough to do that. And to escape God's law and to escape accountability to God and God's justice has broken that law.

So, once again, Psalm 2 is declaring the fruit of what's going on here in our psalm, in Psalm 83, where people are fighting against God and against God's people. And you'll see, leveraging off of what you said, you'll notice in Psalm 83, verses 1 and 2, it says, Keep not thou silent, O God, hold not thy peace. Be not still, O God, for long is time.

enemies make a tumult. They became the ones who lifted up their heads. So, of course, they're attacking the people of God, but because God is the Lord of the peace, to attack one, to attack the other.

And that's why it says in verse 3, they have taken crap counseled against by people. So in verse 2, God, they hate you. Verse 3, they hate your people.

And that's what's going on here, is that when people can't directly strike against God, they strike against his people as a way of striking against God. if I can't hit you in the head and stomp your foot I still render a blow against you right? so they can't necessarily strike the head Christ our hand is in heaven his body is here on earth and so they attack his body as a way of attacking him but as you said being able to break free God's control and God's power and God's laws against us is very foolish alright WB7MAX back to you guys any more comments please come out America's out there Mark, KJ7 PDT, go ahead and relay on Mark's phone number.

Please go ahead. Thank you, Mayor. I'm looking at the first chapter of chapter 83.

It's a simple one. It says, "There is a boy who is a mule, and there is a couple of important things.. I don't know if you remember, but the big wheel was used by Armin.

And it was used to follow up and beat up green and crushed and double. And the time that they didn't deal with Armin's death. Okay, I'll need a relay on Mark's comment.

Somebody cover the relay, please. Is anybody else here, Mark, besides me? No.

Go ahead, Nick. Oh, boy, I hate doing that. Mark was referring to 13, verse 13 in chapter 83.

That the whirling wind and the dust... is much like separating the chaff and that oxen used to use carts to roll around and crush it so that way they could get the grain out of it. Mark, you want to give me a little bit more in pieces so I can share it?

Thank you. And what he's doing there is looking back and looking at what they do. And that's pulling the wheel around.

It's a large wheel. And... Oh, wow, way too much.

Basically, the wheel is supposed to turn around and separate the grain from the chest. And he's saying, do the same thing with my anemones. All right, Beck, thank you for that.

Good copy. Understood what's going on. Okay, so a Mark 10-7 PVT...

Look at verse 13, and it says, "Oh my God, make them like a wheel, as a stubble before the wind." Read a little bit more there, verse 14, "As the fire burns the wood, and as the flame sets the mountains on fire," verse 15, "so persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm." What's going on here is that when it says in verse 13, oh my God, make them like a wheel, the idea here is that of separating grain from the chaff, and there was lots of wheels that they would roll over the top of the grain, which would have a crushing effect except for the wheat from the chaff. Also, this is how grain itself was crushed and ground and put out into flour. Okay, so you've heard of a mill, right, where you have the two stones turning together and grinding and making flour out of the wheat.

and the whole idea behind this metaphor in verse 13 of God make them like a wheel, that is make them as crushed under a wheel and then it says make them like a skull, well what they would do with the chaff is they would throw them stuff up in the air the wind would blow the chaff away the grain was heavier would fall down and be down and so in psalm chapter uh one it talks about the chaff drives away and then verse 14 like consumed in fire. Verse 15, destroyed like a hurricane or a tornado would destroy people. So what Mark's bringing out here is this prayer and all these metaphors to bring out the desire that these people would be defeated, these people would be crushed, these people would be burned up, these people would be thrown away, that they would be...

for complete and total and humiliating defeat. And the reason for all of that is, as it says in verse 16, that they may seek thy name, O Lord. And so, you know, when people are defeated by God, they have two options.

One is to shake their fists at God, and the other is to humble themselves under the authority of God and change sides in the conflict. And so, you know, to use God, surrender to God, and then become a warrior on behalf of God. Which is what's happening with Saul and Esther.

And so that's the prayer for this situation as well. We're going to be struck down to the point that they would convert to the other side. Mark, thank you for bringing out those metaphors of the wheel and how it crushes and leads to humiliation, all that are brought under the power.

All right, other comments on our passage? Coming up. Thank you.

KM5F. Will, please go ahead. Yeah, I was looking at a map of all these nations, and they form a very tight circle basically around Jerusalem.

But the map excludes Iran, which is one of Jerusalem's greatest enemies, KM5S. Yeah, well, you know, Israel has personally, they have foreign enemies, right? So the idea here is that Israel is surrounded by enemies.

You know, you look today at Israel, right? and they've got Syria to the north, they've got Jordan to the east, they've got Egypt to the south, and of course they've got Gaza to the west of them. So the idea that Israel is surrounded by enemies, are there enemies beyond that?

Sure, there's Saudi Arabia that they have enemies, but they don't exactly hold Israel. Yeah, the people of God have had enemies all across the world, close to them, and they've had enemies. So, yeah, they're not going to list them all here, but they listed enough to help us understand, number one, the power of conspiracy, number two, the closeness of the danger, And number three, the overwhelming odds that Israel is facing as she faces the Indians.

Back to you there, Will. Go ahead. That's all I wanted to note.

Yeah, this group that's mentioned forms a pretty tight circle. Can you play that for me? Thank you for pointing out that's a really important point.

These are very real events in a specific time and place. And for us to learn from this, because we also see that this is a pattern that has been against Israel. And one of the things, too, is, you know, it points out that the enemies are trying to wipe out the nations.

you know the the uh trying to destroy your treasured ones the ones that you have sealed lord the one that you have a covenant relationship with the specific ones israel as a nation has not always been faithful but there are always those that are within the nation and um as a whole whether their leadership is or not. And so it points to them, but we also see in the text here that they are enemies of you, God. They hate you, God.

They are, it's not just your people, but it's you, God. that they despise, that they want to, and that they are coming up against. And when you step back and you think the futility of that, of coming up against God, of course, we see this pattern frequently.

against the nation over and over again. We see it, as you pointed out, somewhat today, where the nations are lined up against. Now, politically now, there's a lot going on.

You know, there's arguments to have some merit. Maybe that Israel is committing genocide on some other peoples, but nevertheless, you with the belief that, hey, they can't be destroyed because they're God's chosen people. But nevertheless, what's going on politically now, we know that there are always those faithful in Israel that are surrendered to God.

There are many Messianic Jews, as we said, there are many Syrians. saved Jews. Now, and there, I believe, is a revival taking place in the nation that are turning to Christ.

But we do know, too, as Catholicology tells us, the doxology tells us, that in the end times, all nations of the world, not just those surrounding them like now in the Middle East, but for the most part, all nations of the world will stand up against Israel. But we know that God has, Christ has overcome the world. So be of good cheer.

And so, yes, this is a pattern that we see develop through history, but it's a pattern that we're going to see ahead as well. But again, God will intervene and God will reign. KB7 is that example.

Thank you. Real good captain. Yeah, the net we'd like to know is Tom, WW7T.

Good morning, Tom. Good to have you with us. Also, Ruth, KD0.

KD0. Ruth's good to have you with us as well. Also, we've got Dave, KD7WK9.

Just picking these people up off the run. I think we got everybody's check in and dropped in a little bit later on. And thank you all for being here.

Really appreciate your presence and your comments. Kevin, good comments. You know, and, you know, think about the church, okay?

The church is to do Israel. in the Middle East, but we also have the people of God in the Middle East, and the point is, the people of God, whoever they are, wherever they are, are always under attack by the servants of Satan. But the good news is, is that in the midst of all this spiritual warfare, whether it's against Israel or whether it's against the church, God is on the side of his people.

That's the bottom line. And God defends his people. even against overwhelming odds and that's really good news.

And you know, I want to close with verse 18. It says, well verse 17, "Let them be confounded and troubled forever, yea, let them be put to shame and perish," verse 18, "that men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, are at the most high over all the earth. And so the whole idea here is not even so much that we would be delivered, although, of course, it's a legitimate and genuine desire, but above and beyond our own deliverance is our desire for glory of God and to be exalted among the nations to this day.

and see Him and worship Him. All right, we are about out of time. I appreciate all of you who have checked in and made comments.

Great comments this morning. The good news of our pastor is that the enemies of the people of God are the enemies of God, and God will deal with them in the future as He dealt with them in the past, and that is who will defeat them and vindicate them and what will be the people of God. thing will be glorified and hopefully some of those who have opposed him as a people will become converted like Saul of Harsha did to one of them.

You know, Ananias and Caiaphas didn't get converted but some did. And so we always hold out hope. that the enemies of the people of God, even the worst of them, are hands of Satan.

They need to pray to that end. Or at the same time, pray that they will be defeated in their efforts to harm God's cause and God's kingdom. All right, so that brings us to the close of our next book.

### Summary of the Bible Study on Psalm 83

The study centered on Psalm 83, drawing background from 2 Chronicles 20. The psalm describes a historical conspiracy of nations, including Edom, Ishmaelites, Moab, Hagrites, Gebal, Ammon, Amalek, Philistia, Tyre, and Assyria, against Israel. The psalmist prays for divine intervention, referencing past victories over Midian, Sisera, and Jabin to underscore faith in God's deliverance.

The discussion highlighted metaphors of divine intervention, such as a wheel crushing chaff, fire burning wood, and storms destroying mountains, to depict the defeat of enemies and their conversion. The study emphasized spiritual warfare, noting that God's enemies are seen as adversaries of His people, with the psalmist's prayer reflecting a desire for God's glory and the conversion of the defeated.

The session concluded with reminders of God's past interventions and the hope for similar deliverance in the future. Prayer requests were shared, and the meeting ended with a prayer for divine protection and intervention.
