Thank you. This is WB70MX, neck control for the West Coast Border Study. We are looking for check-ins this morning.

Please come down for a call, sir. Thank you. Thank you.

This is WB7MX, neck control for the West Coast Power Study. We've got about four minutes to go before we get started with the study. Are there any more check-ins?

Please come down at your call time. Thank you. Thank you.

Thank you. Come in. Comrade, please go ahead.

Yes, AG6J, I can't sit still any longer. It's really on my heart. I'm concerned about Eric.

It's not like him to not be here. Could we add to the prayer list? You'll know the right way for whatever need Eric has to have or needs to have this morning for the Lord's sake.

minister to that need, whether it be health, a family emergency, or whatever's going on. Back to you, Pastor Matt. Yeah, copy that, Jerry.

KG6J. Father, just pray for Eric this morning. KD70S, he's not showing up.

He's very faithful, so he's obviously got some problems. Lord, just meet his needs and pray that we would be able to see him soon. Lord, just thank you for this faithful brother who is here every morning with Matt Lager, and Lord, he's not here now.

So just pray that whatever his needs are, Father, you would meet them. Ask it in Jesus' name. Amen.

All right. Thank you for that, Jerry. KG 6G.

All right. Any other check-ins this morning, please come down to the call sign. Thank you.

WB7VZL. Hey, good morning. Roger, WB7VZL.

Good to hear your voice, brother. How are things in College Place? Well, we got the dryers put away, the fruit dryers, a bunch of crones.

prune trees that we were working on and giving the food to other neighbors and had more interaction with the neighbors than I've had for eons. But yeah, I appreciate the prayer for Eric. I'm not aware that he has been missing, but apparently somebody's been looking out for him and That's a big praise of Lord for, yeah, missing.

So, yeah, I appreciate Eric. As you know, WB7VZL. Yeah, Roger, no worries.

It's just he runs our net logger program, and he just hasn't shown up this morning, which is incredibly unusual for him. He's just as faithful as a clock. So, anyway, that's what that was about.

and don't know anything, but just haven't seen him. So I'm going to just close out my net logger program for the moment, and I've got to move on with the net and work with who we got checked in. So anyway, WB7MAX here looking for check-ins.

to the West Coast Bible Study, please come down to the call sign. All right, to never let you acknowledge Peter, KJ7BA. Good morning, Peter.

See you there on Utah. Appreciate you being there, brother. Thank you for your faithfulness.

All right. Also, we've got Gene, K7GWR. Good morning, Gene.

See you there on Utah. Appreciate you being there as well. All you guys that show up on the Utah and the Half Moon Bay, always means a lot to see your call sign.

All right. Peter says good morning to everyone. Peter, good contact.

Thank you for that. And I'm looking over my SDRs for one last check-in before we get started with our NETs. All right, I think we're all caught up.

Okay, it's WB7MAX, Net Control for the West Coast Bible Study. We are in Psalm 82 today. That's Psalm 8-2.

But before we get started with reading that passage, we need to open in prayer. And so, Bert, W7RKD, if you could open in prayer for us this morning, I'd appreciate that. Go ahead, brother.

You sure can, Max. It's a pleasure. W7RKD, close powerheads.

Our Father, thank you for this day. Thank you for this gathering on this frequency, this Bible study. May we be better fishermen on that because of the Bible study and your words.

And may we edify you in everything that we do today. In Jesus Christ's holy name we pray. Amen.

Amen. Amen. Thank you so much for that, Bert.

Really appreciate that. All right, we're in Psalm 82 today. Interesting psalm.

This psalm is God's reproof of the unjust judges in Israel, because they've been perverting justice, right? And in the scriptures, there's many, many passages. in which God reproves the judges in Israel for perverting justice.

But what is really unusual about this passage is that these unjust judges are addressed with the name God, and that's the Hebrew word Elohim. that this word that is usually applied to the true God is actually applied to men is made really clear by the Lord Jesus Christ in John chapter 10, verses 30 to 36. where he has an argument with the Pharisees because he claimed to be the son of God.

They were going to stone him, and he says, why are you stoning me for claiming to be the son of God when the scriptures address men as God? or as gods in Psalm 82. And that's the argument there in John 10, 30-36.

Well, those to whom the word of God came, people are called gods in our passage in Psalm 82. So clearly the Lord Jesus understood that the word Elohim, which is the word for God, was being applied here to human beings who in fact were recipients of the word of God. God himself is not one to whom the word of God came.

He's the source of the word of God, not the one who receives it. People are the ones who receive the word of God. And so clearly when Jesus says that he calls them gods to whom the word of God came, Jesus understood this word to be applied to men.

But the question remains, why did God refer to these human judges as gods? That's the question. Well, the reason why is because these judges stand in the place of God on earth as God's representatives, administering God's justice according to God's laws.

And so Solomon, who was both a king and a judge, is declared in 1 Chronicles 29-23 to, quote, sit on the throne of the Lord, unquote. So when Solomon sits on the throne of the Lord, he is representing God he's representing God's authority when he's passing judgment and is therefore viewed as God by way of representation though he is not actually God fact he's just representing God and therefore he's called said to be sitting on the throne of the Lord so this is why Deuteronomy 1:17 says judges are not to be partial in judgment because the judges they render is supposed to be God's judgment and not their own and God is not partial in judgment and so judges are supposed to be either Elohim is used specifically of judges, and it's translated as judges in Exodus 21.6, Exodus 22.8 and 9, and other passages as well. So it's apparent that in Psalm 82, God is addressing and rebuking unjust human judges whom God addresses as "gods" because they stand in a place of authority that represents God's own authority.

Now, these wicked judges have desecrated their office. They've been placed in the highest of positions in society. They're called by God's name, they bear his image, they exercise his authority, and they were supposed to carry out his will.

These were God's representatives on earth, and they were supposed to manifest and display the righteousness of God, and God's wisdom and righteousness in their judgments. But they chose darkness rather than light, and the wisdom of men over the wisdom of God, They had shown favor to the powerful and the wealthy, and they had violated the rights of the poor and the weak. They had no fear of God.

They made no attempt to judge righteous judgment, and these judges became a law unto themselves. Now, the problem with judges who pervert justice, is that it's incredibly destructive to the morals and the stability of society, and it destroys the very foundation on which society rests. Lawless judges produce a lawless society, and the result is that every man does that which is right in his own eyes because he knows he's not going to get any justice if he goes to court.

So he just takes justice into his own hands. God recognizes the tremendous damage that unjust judges can do, and so he appears in this psalm as the judge of the judges and brings a strong rebuke and a stern warning and a clear call to repent and return to God. to fair and just dealings with the people who appear before them.

So this psalm is a judgment of the judges by God, rebuking them for their unjust judgment. All right, well, that's a little introduction to our psalm, Psalm 82. This is WB 70 in the X.

I'm going to go ahead and read this psalm. And we'll talk about it as soon as I get done reading it. Psalm 82 out of the King James Version, verse 1.

God standeth in the congregation of the mighty. He judgeth among the gods. How long will you judge unjustly and accept the persons of the wicked?

Silah. Defend the poor and the fatherless. Do justice to the afflicted and needy.

Deliver the poor and the needy. Rid them out of the hand of the wicked. They know not.

Neither will they understand. They walk on in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are out of course.

I have said, "You are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High; but you shall die like men and fall like one of the princes. judge the earth for thou shalt inherit the nation all right that is psalm 82 any comments on this psalm please come down with your call sir kb7 is that except kevin kb7 said it's in go ahead KB7 is at Xen. Good morning, all.

Yeah, it is a very interesting and unique psalm in many ways. And as we transition from the last psalm, where the myth of disobeying God and what... but could have been had there been obedience.

Here we do see judgment on the judges, as you point out. And I think you pointed primarily to those in the pre-exile period, spoken of often in Amos and Isaiah, Micah. and of these false, these bad judgments, this bad judging by what are identified as gods or Elohim.

But I think also, too, you could encompass at the same time on the spiritual level, the judges called out in Deuteronomy 32, verses 8 and 9 too, where God calls out some heavenly beings to be judge of other nations and may have failed as well. And so when someone is called to stand and represent God as a divine judge. That's quite a tall calling and a responsibility.

But we see, you know, through the Word of God and through some of the texts and what you described too, Max, is how that can be corrupted by power, by greed, by... our human sinful nature and we see how that was corrupted through the history of israel for example but i think too i just put this out for consideration as god appointed those as administrators of his spiritual kingdom or his justice at that time keep in mind the Lord's church is the steward of God's kingdom on earth, administrators, if you will. So how important is it that our judgment be true?

And if we're representing spiritual or divine judgment in matters. Let us be very cautious and careful that we take heed to the gravity of that. But good introduction, Max, and it is quite an interesting psalm.

KB7 is that example. Yeah, Kevin, well said. Thank you for that comment.

I'm going to get to that in just a second. The net would like to acknowledge Bruce, KD0, Echo, Quebec, Kilo. Good morning, Bruce.

Good to have you with us. See you there on the Utah STR. That's K-D-O-E-Q-K.

Bruce, thanks for being with us. The net would also like to acknowledge Jeff, AK6OK. Good morning, Jeff.

See you there on Half Moon Bay. Appreciate you being there. Seems like...

Coeur d'Alene is not working this morning. I'm not getting a signal out of it, but be that as it may, we do have signals elsewhere, so we're going to work with those. All right, back to Kevin's comment.

Yeah, Kevin, you know, what God's doing here, as you said, He's rebuking these judges, and we see that throughout the Scriptures. Thanks for those references you brought out there. And while you and I are not in the formal position of being magistrates that sit on the bench and adjudicate civil affairs, all of us are in positions of making judgments about various things.

people and various issues. Jesus said, judge not according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment. And so that's a command to all of us.

And so we can sit back and we can look at earthly judges and we can say, you know, those guys are perverting justice. Well, what about us? Are we perverting justice?

Yes. You know, are we evaluating people and situations according to the standards of God's Word, or are we substituting our own ideas about what constitutes justice or accurate assessment of people and situations and teachings? So this isn't just for those guys that sit up there on the Supreme Court, although it's certainly for them and primarily for them, It's a God application to us, too.

And so I really appreciate you pointing that out, Kevin, a lot. All right, WB7MX here. Any other comments, please come now.

KJ7, PWM. KJ7, PWM. Brian, good morning.

Got you checked in. How are you doing? You got a comment for us.

Nope, I just wanted to check in. All right, thanks for being there. Got you checked in, Brian.

All right, any other comments on our passage? Please come now. Is that XM?

Is that XM? Please go ahead. Yeah, um...

Well, first, I just wanted to mention, too, I think it's Brian that provides the service for us on the westcoastbiblestudy.com website, the recordings of these Bible studies. And so if anyone has dropped in and is new to being a listener or participant, please feel free to contact us. That is a wonderful resource that he provides to us, and I know some that take advantage Deuteronomy 32 and 8 verses 8 and 9 and the angelic men called to be judges as well it doesn't have to be one or the other the way this text reads it covers it all it covers both quite well but I think the point is and you touched on this in your introduction, Max, is John chapter 10, verses 34 through 36, or 30 through 36 overall there, where Jesus points to this actual text, and he feels that on it from the lesser to the greater, making the point of who he is and the authority he carries as the ultimate judge of judges, KB7, is that acceptable?

Yeah, Kevin, thank you for pointing out that passage. That is in John chapter 10. Let's just read that.

John chapter 10 and verse 30 and following. Okay, John 10 and verse 30 and following. Jesus says, I and my Father are one.

And what he means is that we're one in essence, we're one in purpose, we're one in the work that we're doing. We're completely unified, both in terms of our economic work and in terms of our ontological persons. All right?

That is, we're one in the work that we do, and we're one in the being that we possess. thus declaring himself to be a member of the Trinity. All right.

So verse 31, Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. And Jesus answered them, Many good works have I showed you from my Father. For which of those works do you stone me?

The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not, but for blasphemy, because that thou, being a man... make us thyself God so they understood very clearly that when he said I and my father once he was claiming community so they were accurate in their accusation that he made himself God they never considered the possibility that the claim might be true then in fact he was God and of course we know the claim was true so what he does As he says in verse 34, "Jesus answered them, 'Is it not written in your law, 'I said, 'You are gods'?" And of course, that's a direct reference to our passage in Psalm 82:6. And then he reasons from this statement in Psalm 82 and verse 6.

He says, verse 35, If he called them gods unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be... It can't be broken. It can't be proven to be an error.

Verse 36, Say you of him whom the Father has sanctified and sent into the world, thou blasphemest because I said I am the Son of God. If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not, But if I do, though you believe not me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in me, and I in him. So he doubles down.

And he says, I have this intimate shared essence of union and communion with the Father. Verse 39, therefore they sought again to take him, but he escaped out of their hands. So...

Christ basically says to them, look, if the word Elohim is applied to humans, and we know they're just mere humans, then for me to claim to be Elohim, for me to claim to be the Son of God, shouldn't strike you as something outspoken. side of the possibility of the realm of scriptural labels and descriptions. So that's the passage that Kevin's referring to.

And, you know, the bottom line is, is that Jesus is claiming to not just represent God like judges do. He is claiming to be actual God. And he claimed it twice in that well, three times in that passage.

All right, any other comments? Please come down. WB7VZL.

Roger, please go ahead. So I think I'm understanding that the translators can see a lot team even kind of trying to work out the Greek and the Hebrew which I don't know that well it's been too many years if I ever really did know I didn't do very well in languages, but the translators apparently see this use of Elohim also as a son of God, as well as God. Am I correct over here?

Well, in the Greek, it would be helios, which is the word for sun, and theos, which is the word for God. In the Hebrew, it would be Elohim. The thing about Elohim we've got to understand is that that's the general word for God, okay?

Jehovah, or Yahweh, is God's own personal name. It's the name he uses when he makes covenants, and Yahweh or Jehovah is never applied to any other gods. But, for example, the false gods of Egypt are called Elohim, right?

And so Elohim is just a general word for God that can be applied to the true God. It can be applied to false gods, and it can even be applied to humans who represent God, standing in the place of God by way of metonymy. That is one thing for another.

They're called gods, okay, because as judges, they're supposed to represent God, his justice and his wisdom and his righteous rule. So that's the difference between the words that are used there, Roger. I'm not sure if I answered your question.

Back to you. Well, I'm just curious what your take is why Jesus, you son of God, why didn't he just say, because I said I am God. That's what they felt like he had said.

Over here. yeah well I'm not in Jesus hair but the term Son of God you know is what's used in John 3:16 for example God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son the idea of begotten there is the idea of eternal procession of the person of the Sun from the person of the Father okay and to claim to be the Son of God was claiming to be directly related to God. Now, Roger, I think you had some kids.

I certainly did. They are my sons, okay? And they share my nature, don't they?

I'm a human, they're a human. And so I didn't have like a chimpanzee or something, right? And so when someone claims to be the son of God...

in the way that Jesus did, that is, a son of God by direct relationship, it's a declaration that he shares his nature. Now, we're called sons of God, but we're sons of God by adoption, okay, not by being begotten in eternity past by the Father. So, you know, I think that's uses the term in a different way than we do.

He also calls himself the Son of Man, okay, because in fact he has a human nature. So when he says he's the Son of God, he's claiming deity. When he says he's the Son of Man, he's claiming humanity.

And so he uses both those terms because he is the God-Man. He's fully God, fully human. in one person.

So that's the significance of him using those terms. And that's why when we say that we're sons of God, which is a proper thing to say, we need to understand the distinction that we're the sons of God by adoption. He is the son of God by eternal beginning.

Back to you, Roger. WB7, is it out? Well, I'm assuming that Jesus is softening his declaration from their perception by using Son of God.

Because it says, you know I'm just at least to NASB because you said whom the followers sanctified and sent into the world you are blaspheming because I said I am the son of God is Jesus not um Is he backing off from... No, he's not backing off, but yet he uses this phrase. I don't understand why he uses Son of God, actually.

Over. Yeah, if he said, I am God, okay, then... they could confuse him with the first person of the Trinity, who is the Father.

Okay? So when he says, I'm the Son of God, he's not softening his claims to deity. What he's doing is establishing the nature of his relationship with the Father.

okay the Bible doesn't have any problem with calling Jesus God for example in the beginning of this gospel of John and the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God okay but when Jesus says he's the Son of God he's not like softening the claim he's declaring the nature of the relationship so that's what's going on there back to you Roger Yeah, okay. That helps. And I have been educated to the idea that in their minds, the son was basically the same as the father, in a sense, in their minds as well.

So, yeah. Okay. Thank you.

Over. Yeah, copy that. Okay.

I think you got the idea there. that Jesus is claiming to share the same nature but be distinct in his person because he is the eternally begotten Son of God. And that's what he's declaring, and that's what he's defining and explaining.

All right, let's get back to our passage, and let's talk about unjust judges. Now, all of us. I have been in courts of law for one reason or another.

I've been in courts many, many times as an advocate for others. And I've seen the justice that takes place in the lower courts and, of course, through We see the justice that takes place in appeals courts and in Supreme Court and all those things. And I think all of us would agree that there's a serious perversion of justice on the part of the judges.

And one of the judgments that were made in 1973, the Supreme Court ruled in Roe v. Wade that it was perfectly fine to murder unborn infants. And that was one of the grossest perversions of justice and of God's law that has ever been made.

And I remember I was a senior in high school when that happened. judgment was handed down and thinking to myself Justice Harry Blackmun was the one who authored that and was the big advocate for it and that vote was 7 to 2 there's 9 Supreme Court justices so 2 of them voted against it and 7 of them voted for it and as a result 70 million babies in the United States have been aborted um And you think of those seven justices with 70 million dead babies on their hands. Those justices are all dead now.

They're all in hell and suffering for that judgment that they made that was contrary to justice. the word of God and what a dreadful thing they did thinking that they could be God and set aside God's law the sixth commandment thou shalt not kill and how that God is now judging the judges and they work along to themselves and they just can't make it up as they go along any comments on the judges or the justice that you have seen that God is addressing here in this passage? Come now if you call, sir.

Does that extend? Does that extend? Kevin, go ahead.

Well, just two quick points. The first, yeah, for Roger too, I think John 1:18 kind of speaks to this too in the incarnation of God and who He is. And as Jesus points out in 10, you know, He's validating by His works, by the signs, by the prophets that spoke of His works as the Yahshua, HaMashiach, the Messiah.

the promised one. But yes, Max, to your point, we don't have to look far to see the perversion of judges and justice around us, do we? And that is a very dramatic example of that, that has touched all our lives in one form or another and those many around us and our culture and even today i mean it it is the uh it is the representation of evil at a very high level in many ways.

Not only the sanctioned murder of the unborn children, but the perversion further of the profiteering off of that. I know we have very strong abortion laws passed by our legislature. Now, the powers that be, if you will, the the opposition to life have now got a proposition.

I hate these propositions because they circumvent the legislative process. They got a proposition on the ballot now, this election, to – basically criminalized life. But the profiteering, a lot of this motivation, not only is it to me in many ways the same evil of the sacrifice of Baal and Moloch, who I think is the same sacrifice, demonic spirits behind it.

But there's a lot of money to be made in these organs and these babies. And it is perverse. It is evil at a whole different level.

It is satanic. And it's a battle that we're still fighting for these young lives that are unborn yet. But Max, that is a very good example of the perverse judgment there that we deal with still today.

KB7, FedExCenter. Yeah, Kevin, and you know, the arrogance of those in the Supreme Court who think that they're the ultimate final authority. There is a Supreme Court, and His name is God, and He judges the judges.

And if you look at our Psalm 82, verse 1, it says, God stands in the congregation of the mighty. He judges among the gods. That is, He judges among the judges.

And the problem with these judges is that they have the attitude that's expressed in Psalm 12 and verse 4. Well, we'll start at verse 3, Psalm 12, verse 3. The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips and the tongue that speaketh proud things, who have said, With our tongue we will prevail, our lips are our own, who is Lord over us?

And then the next verse says, for the oppression of the poor and the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the Lord, I will set him at safety from him that puffeth at him. And so the attitude of judges across this land is, who's Lord over me? No one.

I'm a law unto myself. And so we see them perverting the law shamelessly and with the most specious kind of reasoning. And, you know, for example, the legalization of homosexual marriage by our Supreme Court.

The decriminalization of homosexuality. You know, these justices, particularly Justice Kennedy, who was the big champion and author of all of that, they think they can redefine God's moral laws and make up their own laws. and defy the law of God.

And so ultimately there's going to be a final Supreme Court. It's going to be on the Day of Judgment. Jesus is going to be sitting on the throne of that judgment.

And when that judgment is handed down, there is no appeal. And so even when our Supreme Court rules, we can appeal to God. Those unjust rulings ask Him to bring justice, and He will.

because as verse 1 says of our psalm, he judges among the gods, that is among the judges. All right, any other comments? Please come now.

KM5F? Oh, KM5F, please go ahead. Yeah, on a side note, back to what you commented about earlier, it's also 70 million potential voters that were lost.

Yeah, copy that. Not only were 70 million voters lost, but all the creativity, all the potential, all the wisdom that they could have produced. You know, you think, what if somebody had aborted Albert Einstein, you know, or what if somebody had aborted...

people who have accomplished tremendous blessings in society by their inventions or by their insights. You think, what could those 70 million children have done by way of bringing blessings? into society.

So it's a tremendous tragedy. And, of course, it's brought our nation under the judgment of God. I mean, the land is literally filled with blood.

And what's amazing is that we haven't gotten more severe judgments than we have. But those things are cumulative, they develop over time, and I think we're seeing, in many respects, the decline of our society because of the sins, the blatant willful sins that we have engaged in. And as I look at the downhill slide of America...

I have to lay a huge portion of that at the feet of the judges, who because of their decisions have wrought moral havoc within our nation. And God is not going to stand by and say, well, No problem. There's a problem and he's going to deal with it.

Will, thank you for your comment. All right, any other comments, please come down. Is that X-ray?

Is that X-ray? Go ahead, Kevin. I look forward to hearing from others.

I just was going to mention, too... You know, we experience all injustices in our lives, and we know we are called to, you know, seek God's counsel, but also cast that burden upon his shoulders, too, and let him kind of handle the injustices, if you will, on many levels. and trusting that we know in the final outcome that God will bring justice there.

And mercy and grace were appropriate as well. But all scores will be settled. But in this case, I think it's important to know those.

A lot of times those injustices that we experience are. from corrupt judges, those that have this given in our culture, our society, the authority to make those judgments. And sometimes it's a bureaucrat, sometimes it's an official capacity of a judge, but they're going to be held accountable as well.

So, yeah, let our judgments be true. Let us be faithful in our responsibility as his servants and as his church. It's a very serious thing.

And let us seek his counsel. But no, on a personal level and on a macro level, the true judge, the creator, the Jehovah, the Yahweh, will judge true. and there will be accountability.

KB7 is at example. Yeah, Kevin, thanks for that comment. It says in Romans chapter 2 that the judgment of God is according to truth, and so there will be no perversion of justice on the day of judgment, and all the unjust judges will be condemned.

All those who judged righteous judgment will be vindicated. You know, I was thinking about this passage in 2 Chronicles chapter 19 Jehoshaphat, the king, is appointing judges. And it says in 2 Chronicles 19, verses 5 to 7, he sent judges in the land throughout all the fenced cities of Judah, city by city, and said to the judges, now here it is, We keep what you do, for you judge not for man, but for the Lord, who is with you in the judgment.

Wherefore now, let the fear of the Lord be upon you, Take heed and do it. For there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts or bribes. And so this is a charge to the judges.

Take heed what you do. You're not judging for man. You're judging for the Lord.

And therefore, if you're going to represent God, you better represent him accurately. And that was one of the problems of the false prophets, right? They misrepresented what God said.

And the true prophets accurately represented what God said. Well, the false judges misrepresent God's judgment, and the true judges represent God's true judgment. So that's the big question here in Psalm 82, verse 2.

How long? Will you judge unjustly? Here's what you need to start doing.

Verse 3, defend the poor and the fatherless. Do justice to the afflicted and needy. And quit taking bribes from the rich to pervert justice against the poor.

And so when he says here all the foundations of the earth are out of course in verse 5, what he's saying is that society will topple if you don't have justice in a society. And so you want to destroy a society, just destroy any sense of justice in the courts or at the law. And pretty soon you've got a major rebellion on your hands and a civil war.

And so God reminds these judges. Verse 6, I've said you are gods. Verse 7, but you shall die like men.

and fall like one of the princes. So don't get too full of yourself. You know, you're really just men.

You're supposed to represent God, and if you did, I would be with you in judgment and support you and defend you, but if you're going to pervert justice, I'm going to be against you. And, you know, verse 8 of Psalm 82 says, Arise, O God, judge the earth, for thou shalt inherit all nations. So ultimately there is going to be a judgment, and God is going to bring perfect justice, and he's going to right all the wrongs, and he's once again going to set the scales of justice in balance, which are so badly imbalanced when wicked men make wicked rulings.

And, you know, if you haven't gotten justice in a court of law, recognize God will give you justice, and those judgments will be overturned. So the final exhortation, let's be just judges ourselves, and let's make sure we have all the facts before we pass judgment on a situation or on a person. The Bible says, he that answers the matter before he hears it, damn it, is a shame and a folly.

And so it's imperative that we get all the facts from both sides before we pass judgment on a situation and pass along an evil report about a person or a situation. So here's an exhortation to us to judge righteous judgment. All right, we are out of time.

We need to go to prayer. Al KJ7QQH is going to lead us in prayer. Are there any final prayer requests before Al leads us in prayer?

Lord, we pray for a wonderful outcome to this surgery and that this plate will be exactly what's needed. And, Lord, she'll know full mobility and freedom from pain and complete strength in that wrist. as a result of this surgery today.

Give the surgeons special skill and wisdom, and Lord, give Jeff wisdom also in comforting Patty, bringing the promises of God to her, and encouraging her as she goes into this situation. Lord, just put your protecting hand on them, surround them with your angels, and Lord, give them grace and peace. In Jesus' name we ask it.

Amen. All right, Jeff, AK6OK. I wasn't getting any signal on Coeur d'Alene remote today.

Is there a reason for that, over? Sure. I'll have to check in and look.

I did have my amp off here, by the way. Let me go check Coraline. Hang on one second.

Yeah, real good. Go ahead. Yeah, I'm checking it right now.

One sec here. Uh, should be working. You're not hearing any signals at all?

Yeah, the waterfall doesn't show any signals of any kind. It's just a plain blue. I wonder if I need to do a rainbow dust up in here, maybe.

Okay, I'll check into this, Matt. Copy that. Kevin, KB7 is at extent.

Go ahead. Oh, I just was trying to respond to Beck's joke there, but his answer was a lot better. So I don't remember what I said now.

All right, real good. Thanks for that, Kevin. Okay, any other comments anybody wants to make, come down with your call sign.

Well, everyone, have a blessed day. I'm going to QRT here. But it's sure good to hear everyone.

Okay, go ahead. We have a system on there that if there's lightning within 30 miles, it unhooks the antenna. Oh, copy that.

That's smart. Makes perfect sense, yeah. Yeah, yeah, okay, well, good, good.

I'm glad to know there's not a problem. And, you know, it's... It's good that it has a self-protection built into it.

That's quite amazing. I have to manual my antenna. So anyway, good system and glad to hear that there's not a problem.

All right, Jeff, this is WB7MX. Okay, yeah. Thanks, Max.

It took me a minute to figure this out, but I do remember that I got a notification on email. I mean, we want to have that sent to you, too, but when it does unhook, it sends us an email saying, Hey, there's lightning in the area. I'm shutting it down, and it brings it back when the lightning is gone.

Copy that. That's super cool. Yeah.

Good job there, Jeff. All right. I am going to pack it up here because I need to get on the road.

I should be in Sacramento tonight. I'll be traveling to a conference in Pleasanton, California, and speaking there. I'll probably be back home Wednesday, but I will be running the net from various motel rooms.

I'll actually suggest Tuesday morning running the net. That's going to be kind of cool. And anyway, Kathy and I were thinking we'd take you guys out to dinner on Monday night.

So pick out a good restaurant, and we will take you guys out, and that will give us a chance to visit without all the burden of meal preparation. Over. Thank you.

That would be fantastic, Max, but we'll take you out. How about that? Okay, well, in any event, let's make it easy on Patty.

Okay. You've got to find a place with Marion Bird and pie. Don't you know?

Copy that. All right, Jeff. We'll see you and I'll be in touch as the trip progresses.

All right, WB7MX, it's going to be clear QRT and I'll be on the road here in a few minutes. All right, bye-bye. Max, have a safe trip.

AK6OK, looking forward to seeing you. You too, man. Thanks, Al.

### Summary of the West Coast Bible Study

The study, led by WB7MAX, focused on Psalm 82, which addresses God's reproof of unjust judges in Israel. Judges are referred to as "gods" (Elohim), representing God's authority. The group discussed the judges' responsibility to uphold God's justice and wisdom, and noted examples of perverse judgments like Roe v. Wade. The study referenced John 10:30-36, where Jesus defends his claim to be the Son of God by comparing it to judges being called "gods."

Prayer requests included concerns for Eric's well-being, various health issues, and Patty's upcoming wrist surgery. The closing prayer, led by Al (KJ7QQH), covered health and healing needs.

Administrative notes mentioned the study's daily frequency at 6 a.m., Max's travel plans, and a dinner invitation for the group on Monday. Technical issues were discussed, including the Coeur d'Alene remote's lightning protection system and Jeff's (AK6OK) system sending email notifications for lightning activity.

The session concluded with WB7MX signing off and wishing Max safe travels.
