Most gracious and holy Father, we thank you so very much for this time that we have together to come and join together in looking at your word, Lord, contemplating your word and meditating upon your word. Lord, we thank you for the access and availability to your holy word, to the recording of... the events of times past that have such great relevance for us today.

Lord, I would ask you to give a special blessing to each and every one here and those seeking your way and your will. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Amen. Thank you so much for that, Kevin. Really appreciate that.

Okay, we're in Psalm 52. That's Psalm 52. And the heading of this psalm tells us it's occasion.

You'll notice it says, "Machiel, a psalm of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said to him, 'David has come to the house of Amalek.'" Well, the ending of this psalm, as I said, tells us its occasion. It's a response to the events that are recorded in 1 Samuel, chapter 21 and chapter 22. Now, what happened there in those chapters is that David was fleeing from Saul, who was trying to kill him.

And this is way back in the beginning when Saul first turned on David. And as David fled to the town of Nob, where the ark and the tabernacle and the priests of God were, he got there and he requested from Ahimelech the priest, some food and a sword. And Ahimelech, not knowing David was sought by Saul, because this was a new turn of events, and of course they didn't have news and the internet and all those things, last Ahimelech heard, David was Saul's darling and the head of his army and all of those good things, because he had slain Goliath, as you recall.

So, David was Well, then David having gotten some food and a sword left, but the whole episode of David showing up and getting a sword and some food from Ahimelech was witnessed by a man named Doeg. Doeg was Saul's chief herdsman. Doeg was an Edomite, which means he was a descendant of Esau, and you know the history of Jacob and Esau.

Well, Doeg reported the event to Saul, who then called all 85 priests of Nob to appear before him. Of course, the reason why there were 85 priests at Nob was because that's where the ark and the tabernacle and the priests were all--were at. Anyway, Saul confronted these 85 priests about David's visit, and the assistants, the priests that they gave to David in giving him food and a sword.

And they protested that they had no knowledge that David was a wanted fugitive from the king, which was true. But the arrogance of Saul and the injustice of Saul and the petulant haughtiness of Saul moved him to pronounce the death sentence on all 85 of these priests, even though only one of them had dealings with David, namely Ahimelech. And even though him like himself had no idea David had fallen out of the king's favor.

So Saul orders his soldiers to murder these 85 priests of God. Well, the soldiers are aghast at the injustice of killing innocent men, and they are aghast at the wickedness of killing godly men, the priests of the Lord. And Saul's soldiers flat out refused to kill Ahimelech and the 85 priests, because number one, they're innocent, and number two, they're men of God, and it would just be a horrible crime to murder them.

So the king then orders Doeg, the Edomite, to slaughter the priests, and he complies. and he kills them all. And so of all the priests, only one escaped, a guy named Abiathar, okay?

And Abiathar fled to David and told David what happened. And this psalm, Psalm 52, is David's response to this event. And so this psalm is not a prayer.

This psalm is not a complaint to God about what occurred. Instead, this psalm is a direct address to Saul himself. And it is a stern reproof to a wicked man who is conceited, who is a lying slanderer, a man who is a murderer, a man who abuses his power, and a man who trusts in his wealth and his wickedness to deliver him.

And that's what Saul was like. And David declares with utter certainty that God's going to destroy Saul for his lying, for his arrogance, for his wickedness, and for his murder. And the point is, is that no man can set himself against God and win, and that's exactly what Saul was doing.

And so David closes this psalm with an expression of confidence that God will show him mercy and prosper him in all he does, because he's aligning himself with God. And therefore God is for him, Saul is aligning himself against God, and therefore... who can harden himself against God and prosper.

So the lesson and the comfort of this psalm is that it gives us the assurance that liars and persecutors of the people of God will not prevail in the end. They may have some temporary victories like Saul did here at Nob, but ultimately they're going to go down to defeat because of that wickedness. So that's the background and the setting of this psalm and why David says the things he does.

and addresses the person he does. And he addresses this in verse 1, Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? And that mighty man he's talking about there is King Saul, and of course Doeg the Edomite right along with him.

All right, that is the background to our psalm. Steve, W6YSI has agreed to read this Psalm for us. Steve, if you could read Psalm 52, appreciate that.

Go ahead. Okay. W6YSI, I'll be reading from the New American Standard Bible.

Psalm 52, verse 1. "Why do you boast in evil, O mighty man? Loving kindness of God endures all day long.

Her tongue devises destruction like a sharp razor, O worker of the speech. You love evil more than good, falsehood more than speaking what is right. Selah.

You'll have all words that devour, O deceitful tongue. The God will break you down forever. He will snatch you up and tear you away from your tent.

Uproot you from the land of the living. Selah. And the righteous will see and fear and laugh at him, saying, Selah.

behold the man who would not make God his refuge, but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and was strong in his evil desire. As for me, I am like a green olive tree in the house of God. I trust in the loving kindness of God forever and ever.

I will give thee thanks forever because thou hast done it. I will wait on thy name, for it is good, the presence of thy godly ones, before the reading of God's word. W6YSI.

is that extent kevin tv7 please go ahead well i know there's others with some great comments and a very good background and explanation uh an introduction to the psalm there too max uh really lays out the context of the events here. And you know, we see what a vivid demonstration of someone who turned away from God, as it points out here. Saul had the opportunity to embrace and find his refuge in God.

But he chose his own power, his own wealth. And as we know, God removed the Holy Spirit from him. And we see the calamity that follows.

And yet it's tragic, but unfortunately we see it here, we see it throughout history, and the absolute tyranny and evil that results from it. And just not only to kill... in such a brutal manner, but to kill the people of God that were defenseless, uh, that, uh, had, had set themselves aside, uh, for the worship of God.

And, um, there's a certain depravity that develops from someone that uh i i've often used the word large and in charge and this is who saul thought he was he thought he was large and in charge but he was a desperate small man and in so many ways through him, through his lineage as promised by God, and entrust in that. And yet here, even though David not long before had slain Goliath, And I had Israel, you know, the nation is celebrating this great victory. And the priest was willing to, you know, help David just in a time of need.

He had no idea that Saul, for his own evil desires, wanted to kill David. And anyway, we have heard the adage, absolute power corrupts absolutely. Well, we certainly see that here in Saul when God is absent.

KB7 is an example. Yeah, Kevin, well said. When you've got a man of small character put in a position of large responsibility, they just go crazy.

It takes great character to be able to handle great responsibility because with it, as you said, comes great power. And here's a man who was just glorying in his power and utilizing it in any way that he chose to do so instead of utilizing it responsibly. And so just because you have the power to do something doesn't mean you ought to do it.

And that's exactly what's happening here with Saul. I really appreciate you bringing out the contrast between verse 5 and verse 8. You know, verse 5, God shall destroy thee forever, he shall take thee away.

Now, here it is. And put thee out of thy dwelling place and root thee out of the land of the living. And as you said, that's a graphic representation of a tree being ripped out of the ground.

And then, of course, the positive reference to that, verse 8, I'm like a green olive tree in the house of God, David being planted. And it kind of reminds me, Kevin, of Psalm 1, right? He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of living water that brings forth its fruit in its seasons.

his leaf also shall not wither and whatever he does shall prosper so we can either be a good tree or one that's torn out of the ground appreciate your reference also to Romans 11 17 where the Abrahamic covenant and the covenant community of the true people of God is likened to an olive tree into which we are engrafted in the new covenant so we've been grafted into that wonderful olive tree of the nation of Israel. All right, real good, Kevin. Good comments.

Go ahead. yeah just quick follow-up it's interesting thinking of the longevity of olive trees i i've read it it's believed that some of the olive trees in the garden of gethsemane are still from the times of christ and maybe before there so some of them can can live an enormous length of time or at least connected to those the other thing too is You know, I've seen, I've known people sometimes in their life when they're absent of the Holy Spirit, the emptiness that is so apparent, they try their best to put on a facade.

of look at me, all the good things I do, but their character gives them away. And their motives gives them away. And most oftentimes you'll see them try to copy that.

what those that follow God do, but they're empty. They don't have an original thought. They mock those that are truly good, that are walking with the Lord, you know, behind their backs.

But yet, in public so often, they will try to present themselves as, "Oh, look at me. I'm doing the right thing." But they're empty. they don't they're not capable because i think they have turned away for god for so long that they're they're they're spiritually uh empty and and and the depravity sets in there and um Now we see this, I think, in this case with the extreme of Saul.

David did his best, as we know, to reach out to Saul to honor him because God had selected him as king for his position alone. We see that he had opportunity to kill Saul. He did not.

and he because he had reverence for God where we see the opposite with Saul took every opportunity to try to destroy David even though David was respectful and honored him KB 7 that example yeah Kevin really well that boy you hit the nail on the head when it comes to those who have the facade of Christianity and they try to present themselves as being christians but they're empty boy have i run into those people through the decades of ministry um they say the words they show up at the places they do the things but it's clear that the substance of the matter is not in them and as you well said they always wind up creating strife and division and attacking those who are godly and serving the lord And that's exactly what happened with Saul. You know, he claimed to be a member of the covenant community of Israel. And yet, look at his actions.

A man who lied. A man who, you know, attempted murder constantly. A man who attacked the true people of God.

Not only did he attack David, who was a true man of God, he attacks all the priests. who are true servants of God. And so I think, you know, as you well said, Kevin, that's the defining characteristic of fraud is that they can say some of the right words and do some of the right things and show up in some of the right places, but they're always attacking those who are truly trying to serve God and being godly.

And that is always the revelation. of the emptiness, as you said, that's there. Thank you for pointing that out.

You know, the other thing I would just add, and you touched on this, Kevin, but I want to expand on it a little bit, is that, you know, David slew Goliath. This was a tremendous work of God. This is a tremendous deliverance of the people of God.

This is a tremendous manifestation of the glory of God. And yet when the people expressed gratitude to David for this great deliverance, Saul got jealous, right? And so here you are, there's guys out there that are serving the Lord, and girls too, okay?

Lots of our sisters serve the Lord with humility, with diligence, with faithfulness, and they accomplish miracles. You know, really significant things for the kingdom of God. And, of course, there's some recognition there and some appreciation there.

And oftentimes you see that once a person starts to rise in the esteem of others legitimately because they are stepping up to the plate and doing the work, there are always those who want to tear them down out of jealousy or whatever. And that's exactly what's happening here. Saul couldn't stand for anyone to get any glory or greater glory than he got.

And, you know, it's the nature of the true servant of God that he rejoices in the blessings of others. and he's really glad when others are effective and useful and blessed in the work of god so kevin those are great thoughts thank you for sharing those all right any other comments on this passage please come out katie 70s with a quick question eric katie 70x go ahead Yeah, I really appreciate the comments and always really appreciate your opening and summary of the psalm. I have learned quite a bit.

But I did have a question. You mentioned the sword that the priest gave to David. Wasn't that the sword that David actually used to cut Goliath's head off?

if I'm recalling correctly? You know, Eric, I think that was Goliath's sword itself. You know, Goliath had a sword.

David had a sword, right? And I think that that was the sword that Goliath actually carried and used. Um...

And the reason why it was stored up there as a tabernacle was it was, if you will, a war trophy to make a declaration of the defeat of God's enemies and the victory of God's people. It was a symbol. And so David said...

You know, I'll take that one, if that's all you got. It was big, it was heavy, but apparently David was able to wield it. So I don't think that was the sword David used to kill Goliath.

I think that was Goliath's sword itself. Back to you there, Eric. Okay, yeah, yeah, I think you're recalling that correctly over my thought.

I was just remembering that that was the sword that he used to cut Goliath's head off, that he used his sword against Goliath. And then you touched on my other thought, too, that it was a symbol of God's deliverance. So, yeah, that was another thought I had on that.

Yeah, real good, Eric. And I think that's a really important point. I mean, you know, for David to have the sword of Goliath in his hand was a witness to him of God's help.

in battle, you know, it was like, okay, every time he looked at Goliath's sword, he remembered how God helped him overcome an overwhelming enemy. And so now he's got another overwhelming enemy coming after him, Saul with his army. You know, David at this point in time is all by himself.

He doesn't have anybody with him. And what an encouragement it must have been to him to be able to look at that instrument and say, yes, Here is physical proof that God was with me and the same God will be with me now. God helped me overcome this overwhelming enemy in the past.

He is going to help me overcome this overwhelming enemy in the present. And so it was a token, a visible token of God's care of him. And you know, from time to time we have things.

that were markers if you will and Ebenezer a stone of remembrance of a time when God helped us and it encourages us and reminds us of the fact that he's going to continue to help us in the future because he's the same yesterday today and forever and the same God that took care of David and When he was fighting Goliath, it's the same God that's taking care of David when he's fighting Saul. All right, a real good comment there, Eric. Thank you for bringing that out.

I'm sorry. Well, I'd like to make a comment on verse 2 while you're all thinking. You know, verse 1, why do you boast yourself a mischief, O mighty man?

Saul thought he was a mighty man. and then he puts him up against God. The goodness of God endures continually.

I mean, Saul intends evil. God intends good. Who do you suppose is going to prevail in relationship to David?

Well, obviously, God's going to prevail. His goodness to David is going to overcome Saul's evil toward David. And so, you know, it says if God be for us, who could be against us?

And so you've got the goodness of God for you. He that spared not his own son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things? It says in Romans 8.

And it also says in Romans 8, If God be for us, who can be against us? And so when we look at our adversaries, whether it's Satan, whether it's the world, whether it's the flesh, whether it's evil people, and we put them up alongside God, you know, it really helps us to not be afraid of them. because the enemies of God are known to him and under his control, and our enemies are known to God and under his control as well.

But here is how they work, verse 2. Thy tongue devises mischiefs like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. Now, when you think about a razor, you know, an old straight razor, right?

That's what we shave with, us men. And... All right, well, verse 4 kind of carries on that same idea, thou lovest all devouring words, thou deceitful tongue.

And, you know, Kevin was bringing out this facade of Christianity that people manifest. And one of the ways you realize that's a facade and not the real thing is, And we know that there's something different than what is being said about them. All right, any other comments on this passage?

Please come out. as the oracle of God. But, you know, over time, bad people are seen for who they are and good people are seen for who they are.

And oftentimes, all it takes is just the passage of time for the truth to come out. And this happens almost every year. And I'm thinking, you get a $3 million card, this burns the ground.

And so what? Amen, Jeff. Well said.

And that's the idolatry of material objects and of material wealth, is that it all disappears. either in the lifetime of those who own it or certainly at their death, right? We came into this world having nothing, and we will leave this world having nothing.

As Job said, naked came I into the world, and naked shall I return thither. And so, yeah, let's not put our trust in... And so thanks for bringing out that great illustration of the contrast between people who are trusting in the abundance of their riches and people who are trusting in God as their strength.

The world says, hey, look at me, look at what I have. Praise me for what I have. And we're saying, look at Jesus.

Look at what Jesus has done. Let's all praise Jesus for who he is and what he has achieved. And let's thank him.

and give him credit for the resources we have and the possessions that we enjoy. So, Jeff, great illustration. Thank you for bringing that out.

Let's just close with verses 8 and 9, okay? Verse 8, but I am like a green olive tree in the house of God. I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.

I will praise thee forever because you have done it. I will wait on your name for it is good before thy face. And so here is the exact opposite of Saul.

Here is the David. and his object of his trust, which is God, and his mercy forever and ever. And what is his occupation?

It's not grabbing power. It's praising the Lord. All right, real good.

Well, we have fire insurance. It's the Lord Jesus and his redemptive saving work, right? He's the one who saves us from the fires of hell.

So praise the Lord that, you know, their material insurance only gives them material stuff back. and ultimately they lose it all anyway. But, you know, the insurance we have is faith in Jesus and his saving work.

And that policy, you can take that into eternity, and it pays off forever and ever and ever. Will, thanks for bringing out that contrast. All right, any other prayer requests, please come down.

We begin with our brother Jerry.

He has exchanged his vaccine. He lifted his need for relief from that vaccine. We do pray that it improves, but we pray that that will but in the initial timing, he'll be free of that pain.

For our brother Ed, M6XLH, his brother-in-law Ed and his wife still need to sell their house. We ask that a qualified buyer be provided with that. For our brother Will, Teal Mike Hyde-Bobstrat, we pray his hormone treatment and radiation will be effective in restraining and removing this prostate cancer.

We pray that Will's insurance will approve the alternative prescription for his hormone treatment. From Gerald, KK70-CPO and the healing of her lower back pain. Her son-in-law, Chris, had a back surgery recently, and he's still in pain.

He's been put on a speedy recovery. For Tom, WWF and Pete, Bounce recovered from a major spine surgery, and he's in a wheelchair. We pray that his physical therapy will provide relief, and increase mobility.

We pray that his needs for an electric wheelchair will also be met. For Brother Beck, Albound 5 Yankee, pray for his teaching and healing, resolution and double vision, pray for a full restoration of his hearing and his right ear, and their neighbor Nancy, pray for his healing. for terminal cancer and she also needs to be saved.

We just pray that Sherry, the lady that we were praying for, for Dr. Bill Fauci, that Bill Fauci has vanished. So we pray for Dr.

Claire there. We also pray for Dr. Jeff Black.

his case of alterative blindness we pray for his healing through the medical treatment for Cody and the healing of his father Roger from the stage 4 cold We pray for the healing of this police, a believer, a severe head injury. We pray for his ongoing treatment and recovery. Also, Cody, please know he is in need of salvation.

For Pete, WB7RKL, we pray for Pete's trip. You, God, with Pete. difficult circumstances that he's been, and to make godly decisions regarding them.

We pray for Keith to have wisdom and patience in managing his wife Ronnie's dementia, and for Ronnie to be calm and peaceful. We pray for Keith to call me. We pray for the suppression of the wildfires going on right now all around the U.S.

and for the safety of the firefighters and their protection. For Keith and so many, and he's being done, the branch is certainly fighting fires. We pray for his safety.

We prayed for those who fell off of the arch god's hand as we traveled to that On Monday, I prayed for a man that had a grief for the church. I prayed for him to continue to heal him and find value in his glory. And that's what I did.

It's a phrase that is improving and that would be completed and cleared up for a job. In case it's okay, it's a great job. Patty, you're sitting on a sleep better than I am.

It's a great job. grandson Noah's marriage to be a blessing for the salvation of Noah and his wife. He also lived up Jeff, he participated in his own week in Monterey.

For Dave, AI-7QQ, he prayed for his prison ministry in Idaho State Correctional Facility. as the volunteer services coordinator, and also for the services he conducts in the juvenile correction facility in Idaho. For Bert, W7RCD, Danny, Bert's wife, we pray for her, for the remission of her multiple corrosives, and for you, God, to be a blessing to be on everyone today.

For Mike, W7TWO, we pray that Betty, a widow, for comfort, strength, and wisdom after passing her husband. That's what's on our list today, Lord. We know there are many more.

Jeff, AK6OK. Go ahead. Yeah, Max, we'll figure out these dates, the 24th through the 10th.

I've got a couple things going on, but... I may move something. Let me look at my calendar and see what I can do.

I certainly want to fill in where I can. So we'll make it all work. Yeah, thank you for that, Jeff.

I appreciate that. And, you know, we've got some strong stations here and some good operators, you know. We've got Scott, KD7YQT, you know, we've got Eric, KD7ES, we've got Jerry, KG6J, you know, Steve, W6YSI, Jerry, AE70R, Roger, WB7VZL.

These guys all have strong stations. Everybody hears them. And so, you know, you can just toss the ball among yourselves and just make arrangements between yourselves as to, you know, You know who is gonna run the net if you can't be there.

I mean, I Appreciate you being there and you know, you've got the good station and the good voice and the experience and so You know, but yeah, you guys will get it figured out among yourselves and if you can do it Jeff great if you can't just grab one of these other guys and turn them loose and And you know what? I remember the first time I got turned loose. I didn't know what I was doing, but you know what?

We got through it. And we got it done. So, you know, we just need people willing to step up to the plate, take a risk, and trust the Lord.

And, you know, just read the passage and just say what's in the passage. You know, preaching is not complicated. You just take what does the passage say and then you just say what it says, apply it to your life and you know you are good to go.

So anyway, Jeff, I am sure you guys will do fine. And yeah, I will be flying out to Malaysia. I will be in Kuala Lumpur at the Daman Sera Reformed Baptist Church there.

I will be preaching in the church itself. and then on Sunday, and then I'll have a pastor's conference the following week. There should be about 60 or 70 pastors there from all over the Far East.

I'll be teaching on Revelation that I wrote my book on, and then when I get done with that conference, I'll be flying up to Hong Kong and preaching there at the Hong Kong Reformed Baptist Church where Joseph Chan is the pastor there, And he's the guy who coordinated the translation of my book into Chinese. And it has now been translated, it's been published, and it's now being distributed in Macau and Taiwan and Hong Kong. And then we made a digital e-book, and that's being hand-delivered all throughout China in kind of a viral underground church network that we've got over there, where pastors just make digital copies and hand it to other pastors, and then they hand it to other pastors, and it just kind of spreads like that.

Anyway, these guys have really been a great blessing to me in getting my book printed and published and distributed in China. And I'm real excited about being there with them and reinforcing that work and also edifying the saints. So I'm not going to have a pastor's conference up in Hong Kong, just going to have a church conference.

But really looking forward to that and then we'll fly back home. So my wife, Kathy, KB7K2I, is going to be with me on that whole trip. It's going to be exhausting, but it's going to be glorious.

And so we're looking forward to what the Lord's going to do. So Jeff, thank you for guarding the home fires here, and I'm sure that the net will carry on and maybe some new talent will emerge, and we'll get people with some practice on doing some net control. I'm back to you there, Jeff.

Yeah, Ben, I think the timing of this is excellent. This needs to happen anyway, Max. We need to have backups and we need to allow others to get in here and do the same thing.

You know, when I started preaching at Camp Pendleton, I was terrified the first and second time I did that, but now it's the old hat. Had I not had that baptism in fire, it would have never happened. You're absolutely right.

We need to pass this around and let folks do that. So I'll try to head that up. I can certainly take over and do it when I'm here.

But we'll get a group together and probably plan it ahead of time. get everybody's emails that we need and get all the details out to them so that we can make this all happen. But I think it's a good thing to have it happen.

It's, you know, like with every church, it can't just be about Max. Over. Amen.

Amen. This is about God and it's not about the Word. It's not about me or anything else.

Yeah. And then, back to Alpha Alpha Phi, Yankee does a great job of backing everybody up with SDR information. So, also, he's got a strong station, too.

So, put him in the mix, also. In any event, yeah, Jeff, God's going to be there. You know, I mean, look, the people of God come and the people of God go, but the work of God goes on, right?

And so, you know, when you look in the Bible, great men of God rise up, they die, they go away. God raises up other men. And so God is not limited to getting His work done through any one individual.

And so I'm excited to know that if I were to drop dead tomorrow, God forbid, but if it would happen, it could happen, right? You guys would pick up and carry on. And God's ministry would go on and God's word would continue to be proclaimed.

And, you know, we're grateful for the people we have, for the time we have them. But they come and they go. But the work of God goes on.

And yeah, you got a great station and we would be more than willing to have you do that um you know um the main thing about net control is they just need to run traffic you know they don't have to do an exposition of the passage the main job is take check-in right uh pick somebody to open in prayer pick somebody to read the scripture or do it yourself that's fine too uh and then you know as people throw out their call signs you acknowledge them and turn them loose and then when they're done you know you open it up for other people. And the main thing about net control is running traffic. It's not being able to, you know, do the whole exposition thing.

That's the job of the whole group, right? And so, Scott, thank you for that. So, Jeff, AK6OK, you got Scott for the weekends at least.

And I think the weekend of the 8th. But, Scott, thank you. Yes, we'll grab some other guys, too.

And between all of us, we'll make it work. And what a great opportunity for you and for Kathy, Max. What fun, huh?

Yeah, amen. We're really looking forward to meeting new friends. And you know, the amazing thing, Jeff, is that, you know, it's like when I first met you, I mean, there's this instant bond because you know the Lord, I know the Lord.

You've got the Spirit of God in you, I do. We have the same Master. And it's like, you know, within 30 seconds, it's like, this guy's my best friend, right?

And that's the way it is with believers all over the world. And, you know, by traveling and having contact with these other churches, you realize the work of God is way bigger than my church or my radio ministry or... The people I know, you know, God has his people scattered all over the world, and it's an encouragement to know that even though things may be going a little tough for me right now in my ministry, God's ministry across the globe is flourishing.

It's expanding. It's growing. And he's raising up folks everywhere to preach his word and proclaim his truth, and that's a huge encouragement.

when maybe our local situation isn't all that encouraging. Go ahead, Jeff. Yeah, that's absolutely true.

And I don't know if you're interested in preaching in the Philippines, but I have some very, very good contacts in the Philippines. We'd probably love to have you come out there. One of our chaplains, Don Vida Dog, is just a mover and shaker in the Philippines.

And I'm pretty sure he goes over and teaches all the time over there in the pastures. If you want me to open that door, I can certainly get that kicked open. Well, I appreciate that, Jeff.

Yeah, we may do something like that. I do have a good friend in the Philippines, Noel Espinoza. He runs a theological seminary there, and so I've been sending him books, and I'm sure that's going to open up into an opportunity to preach here when this trip is over, so...

I know I'm going back to London next year, and I think I'm going to go to Zambia. You know, Jeff, look, I never dreamed this would happen, right? I'm just a little country preacher, and, you know, small church and just faithful ministry for, you know, 34 years.

And then I retire and I write this book, right? And, you know, it's just like, okay, I'm going to share, you know, the insight and the understanding God's given me in this difficult book, you know, that people have a tough time with. And it just exploded.

And, you know, as it's gone out, I keep getting these phone calls and these email invitations. Yeah. stuff I never expected or dreamed would ever happen.

You know, I never thought I'd be on, you know, these big stages. And it's like, okay, God, I'm just going along for the ride. You know, whatever you want, I'll step through that door.

I didn't look for any of this. It just, like, came to me. Same way with the PM radio ministry.

I didn't look for that either. It just came to me. So anyway, thank you, Jeff.

We will definitely follow up on that. If you want to give me that guy's contact information, I'll talk with Noel about it and maybe we can coordinate something with him or whatever. So anyway, thanks for that, Jeff.

Appreciate that. Okay. You know what I'm going to do?

Can I email you his mailing address? Can you ship him a copy of the book and I'll mention this to him? You know what's so fun?

He knows the President of the Philippines and all the upper management guys in the military And he was successful in getting our Bible distributed to every police officer in the capital of the Philippines. Which is interesting, they carry them in their cars, over. Copy that.

That is fantastic. Yeah, well, that would be wonderful. You bet I'll ship him a book and I'll write him a letter and tell him who I am and what it's about and we'll see how he responds.

You know, I don't know what his perspective is, but let's knock on that door and see what God does. Over. That sounds good.

He did something unprecedented for me because we've sent so many Bibles to the Philippines through him and so forth. He's invited me to go speak here, and because of my past health issues, my wife has not called me flying them for her. But he had me declared as an honorary chaplain in the Philippines, signed by the president of the Philippines, and I've got two certificates here that say so.

Almost embarrassing. Yeah, that's fantastic. Well, you know, what they're saying is they appreciate you.

I mean, you know, you have provided phenomenal resources for the spiritual blessing of, you know, the government officials and, you know, the police and military and whatnot. So good for you, Jeff. I'm glad they did that.

And, you know, it's just a way of saying thank you. It's kind of like that letter that the... chaplain of the USS Tripoli sent you.

So, you know, when people recognize the work you've done, you know, you just have to humbly accept that and give God the glory for that and be grateful that God used, you know, sinners like you and me to achieve, you know, an impact for his truth and his work around the globe. Just praise the Lord, praise the Lord, amen. - Back to you, Jeff.
