Hear this, all people. Give ear, all inhabitants of the world, both low and high, rich and poor, for together my mouth shall speak wisdom, and the meditation of my heart shall give understanding. I will incline my ear to a proverb I will disclose my dark shame on the harper.

Why should I fear in these days of evil when the iniquity that my heels surround me, those who trust in their wealth and boast in the multitude of their riches? 9 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him; for the redemption of their souls is costly, and it shall cease for ever, 10 if he should continue to live eternally, and not see the dead. For he sees wise men die, like fools and gentlers first to perish, and to leave their wealth to others.

Their weird thought is that their house will last forever. their dwelling places. And their dwelling places to all generations.

They call their land after their own name, first well. Nevertheless, man, though to honor, does not remain. He is like the beast that perish.

This is the ways of those who are foolish. and their prosperity to approve their saints. Like sheep they are laid in the grave.

Death shall feed on them. They are bright, shall have dominion over them in the morning. And their beauty shall be consumed in the grave, far from their dwellings.

Yeah, Jeff, there is a scripture, though, that I'm recalling. It's 1 Timothy 6-7, where it basically says we brought nothing into this world, and we can be certain we can carry nothing out. So that's 1 Timothy 6-7.

That's a scripture that I had memorized. Anyway, over to you. Well, that's exactly what this is talking about.

You know, and I'm guilty, although God has been so good in my wife and my wives, we have more than we will ever, ever need, and we do give stuff away a lot. financially we're fine and just stuff. I have a 5,000 foot warehouse here full of really cool electronic stuff and it's because we've been in the surplus business for many years.

Then on the 22nd of this month, we have what we call tech day. We haven't had one for a while, but it's where a bunch of hams show up here at our warehouse and I fill pallets full of stuff that we've acquired that hams would love and we just give it away. And there's some really good stuff in there, and I love doing it.

I love giving it away. Every time in my life that we've given stuff, stuff, money, whatever it happens to be, when we've furthered God's kingdom... He fills the warehouse four.

And I've always been amazed. I've got a great story I'll tell you guys about that in just a second. But anyway, you just can't outgive God, and you can't take it with you.

So that's really cool to remember. Other comments this morning. Good morning.

This is Ted up here in Braywood. Yeah, I just think of the temp thoroughness of all things, you know, where, like it says, that this world is destined for fire, you know. It'll be transformed.

the fire of God and he comes in his judgment but that's actually the fire of God's love to recreate all things and those are right with God they they won't be afraid They realize things are just temporal. You can't really hold on to them. You know, I think about possessions, and it's like, you know, I have possessions, but I try not to be possessed by them.

You know, I just figured the Lord give us and the Lord take it away and nothing's really mine. It's all the Lord's. It'll pass with the using, like Paul said.

We have food and clothing and shelter. to be content and I realize that these things are just temporary and my problem is not to become possessive and obsessive and, you know, become possessed by my possessions. sometimes it's difficult to let go but detachment or enunciation of this world and living in the eternal kingdom that's something we can do now day of salvation today this moment may eternal now glory to God back to you KK7OPT yeah very well spoken you're absolutely right you're not going to You're not going to take it with you, Ed.

You know, God takes people like us and prospers them for a reason, to bless others. And I've got a really fun story about that. Way back in, oh gosh, hell, it's been 40 years ago.

We used to run a bunch of concerts called Spirit West Coast out in Monterey, California. and we were in the concert business at that time and my wife and I helped put on big concerts those concerts there had 30,000 people in it and we were eternally blessed by this event And one thing that my wife taught me a long time ago is you can't out give God. And that's in Malachi 3:10, I think it is.

And it's the only place that the Lord says test me in this. And we did that. And I didn't do it, my wife didn't.

Here we have 30,000 people in the concert and in Monterey it gets foggy. This is funny. And Michael W.

Smith is up on the stage and there's 800 feet of people all the way back, three football fields almost. of people deep. You could hear him for a mile and a half because of the sound system we were using.

But you couldn't see him because in the afternoon the fog came in. And so we decided, you know what, what we got to do, we got to put a screen back in the back where people can see because of the fog. And so we did that.

I grabbed his projector and his screen, and we put a camera up front, and we ran a little piece of cable back there. And, oh, everybody was thrilled because now they can see him playing. Well, the guy that put the whole concert together came back and said, Jeff, you're in charge of the Jumbotron screens next year.

And I said, do you know what those are? He said, I don't care. Figure it out.

And what a nice challenge for me. Of course, I didn't let that one go. Then I went up, that year I went up to the Reno Air Races and I saw one of these great big screens and I said to the guy that was running it, "What does it cost to rent that?" And he said, "$30,000 a day." And I said, "Oh, that ain't never going to happen." Of course, back 40 years ago I said, "No, that's not going to happen." Anyway, so I started calling around to ask other companies, and there were very few of them out there that had that.

And I said, what's the cost to rent these? And everybody pretty much gave me the same story until I got to a company in San Francisco called Large Screen Video. And I talked to the owner, and he said, what are you doing with these?

And I said, we got to. we got a Christian concert in Monterey and there's 30,000 people and the fog rolls in and you can't see the artist. And he said, you know what these cost you rent?

And I said, yeah, 30 grand a day. And I said, we don't have that kind of money. He told me, let me pray about it.

So he prays about it, gets back to me the next day and he said, I'll tell you what, I'll give you three of them for all three days for 30 grand. And I said, okay, there you go. I had no idea where the money was going to come from.

and my wife steps up and says we're gonna write the check that was all the money we had that was everything and I said are you serious you're gonna bankrupt us he said no it's God's money well you know what you guys here's the fun part of this story the next month our company which my wife and I own made a $100,000 profit for the first time, and it's never happened since. It was just that month. I don't know about everybody's logic out there, but that was a message that lived with me forever.

I stopped worrying about giving to God's purposes. And we've been doing it ever since. So there you go.

Well, good morning, Jeff. Good morning, everyone. Wonderful story, wonderful comments.

Yeah, I think the good point of that is we are stewards of what God has blessed us. with and let us be wise with what that stewardship you know this is quite a contrast psalm you know we just went from three songs of Zion and the redemption of God time fulfilled in Romans 11 26 and 27 now to something a psalm of great wisdom and understanding, which has been really good comments on, and fits right in with Ecclesiastes or Job or the Proverbs. And that is...

Even with all the wealth that can be accumulated with the power, and even the efforts, as it points out, some to try to create a dynasty or name, naming buildings or lands, to try to carry on some sort of legacy. The problem with that is, we're all going to face eternity one day. We're all going to step into eternity.

And this kind of points out the inverse of Psalm 23. For the redeemed, those that trust in the God, we have the shepherd, the good shepherd, that will lead us through the shadows of death, that will be there for us in eternity. But those that depend on their wealth, those that hang on to that, those trade that shepherd for Sheol, for death.

The death becomes their shepherd. And Sheol simply means the place of departed spirits. And, you know, eternity is an awful long time.

and this is this is why even with all the wealth that could be accumulated one thing they can't purchase with that wealth is eternal redemption and we know that that eternal redemption is only fulfilled and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and so no matter our our our state in life, whether there's social economic status or whatever demographic you want to try to place yourself in, the truth of the matter is, is that the only one that can redeem us for eternity with the Lord is our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. And we see that spoken of here in verse 15, but that's fulfilled in verse... John 11 verses 25 and 26 in 1 Corinthians 15, 54 and 55.

And it's also the same language used with Enoch or with Elijah when they were taken up. and so yes what a picture here that is the thing you know we're all going to have to step into eternity and so are we going to be ready are we embracing what is important in our walk with the Lord today and recognizing him as the one of true wealth or are we hanging on Ted you well said Let's not let our possessions overtake us. KB7, is that acceptable?

I love it in the message how Eugene Peterson translates this. I'll read this to you from 7. Let's start at 7.

Really, there's no such thing as self-rescue. Pulling yourself up by your bootstrap. The cost of rescue is beyond our means.

And even then doesn't guarantee life forever or insurance against the black hole. I love that. Anyone can see that the brightest and best die.

Wiped out along with fools and idiots. They leave their prowess behind, move into their new home, the coffin. The cemetery is their permanent address and they think they named counties and to think they named counties after themselves.

We aren't immortal. We don't last long like our dogs. We age and weaken and die.

That's pretty clear, isn't it? Any more comments? This is a fun song.

Danny, good morning. Well, good morning, Jeff. You know, I never made it to West Coast, but I did make it with you to Quincy up there in the hills.

And if you guys don't know it, he used to have a trailer that was like a 40-foot semi that was a transformer. It transformed from a 40-foot trailer to a stage that was 40 feet long, 20 feet wide, and about 20 feet high. And it took almost a day to put that thing up.

And I went up with him. in the motor home and we we put that thing together and I remember there was like a dozen guys that were roadies that that were helping and stuff and I found out that I was the oldest guy at 60 years old on the roadie crew And you know, the Lord blessed me so much that I felt as young as the rest of the crew when I was putting up that stage, and I'll never forget it. And I've done it probably five other times after that.

And that's starting at the age of 60. So the Lord begs with you, that is for sure. And thank you, and I back to you, Pastor.

Yeah, thank you, Dan. That is a great... A great story.

For those who didn't hear, Dan, he helped us put up our mobile stage. We did have a 40-by-30-foot stage that God blessed us with a long time ago, and we took it all over the country and did concerts at military bases and around. And it does make you feel young.

Even Dan is 60 years old, got involved, and you would not believe the blessings. that were involved in the hard work of putting that stage up and taking it down, running all the major artists through this thing. We actually took this stage to Alaska, had it shipped up on a ship, and we did a Luis Palau revival up in Anchorage, Alaska.

You know, it's interesting, I'm glad you brought this up, Dan. What's interesting about that concert series we did up there, it was considered by the governor of Alaska as the biggest gathering of people in the history of Alaska. We had 15,000 people from Alaska in Anchorage for a concert for God.

And it was awesome. I will never forget it. And the people that came with us were overly blessed.

One pastor that decided to come up with us went up, and the day he got there, he found out that his aunt had cancer, and she was about an hour away. And he got to go see her on her way out. And it just blessed everybody.

This is the kind of stuff that God does for those people who say, yes, I want to be involved in this. And I can tell you, I'm in the process of writing a book right now of all the blessings that I have seen. And I've been through some stuff, as you guys know.

But you can't outgive God. And you can't take it with you. Here's verse 5.

13 in the message. Psalm 49, 13. This is what happens to those who live for the moment, who only look out for themselves.

Death herds them like sheep straight to hell. They disappear down in the gullet of the grave. They waste away to nothing.

Nothing left but a marker in the cemetery. But me? God snatches me from the clutch of death.

He reaches down and grabs me. So don't be impressed with those who get rich and pile up fame and fortune. They can't take it with them.

Fame and fortune all get left behind. Just when they think they've arrived and folks praise them because they've made good, they enter a family burial plot where they'll never see the sun shine again. We aren't immortal.

We don't last long. Like dogs, we age and weaken and die. Well, that's pretty well said there, Eugene.

You know, I was thinking to myself, you know, a lot of that stuff, whether it's good looks or, you know, talent or possession, you know, it gave a lot of pain, glory and pride and vanity and stuff like that. you know, I have to kind of watch myself all the time, you know, because of the fall of nature, those things, you know, between the seasons.

this, but, you know, I'm aware I'm up to play to God to take that away. And, you know, that stuff just drags people down into the pit. And, you know, that's when all they have is all this pride and big glory.

And, you know, I'm really out of all security. You know, every day I'm just aware of that. And I just...

Why should I fear in bad times? I was hemmed in by enemy malice, shoved around by bullies, demeaned by the arrogant rich. And that's where he goes into talking about the there's no such thing as self-rescue.

And how true that is. We're not going to rescue ourselves. Yeah, we're not going to end up somehow with our name on a building and somebody's going to recognize.

You know, quite often I see buildings that are named after people, and I have no idea who those people are, and nobody remembers them. But you're going to remember who God is, and you're going to remember who Jesus is. That's why, be careful about naming streets and, well, you can certainly do that.

Name streets after yourself and your buildings and all that. But it's going to make absolutely no difference in the end. So we'll be wrapping it up here.

We just heard from Kevin, he's a kid, he's at the clinic now. He reports that his son Scott and his wife Priya are returning from a trip to the decon. We just ask for your hand of protection and guidance and just give them safe travel.

They return home from there. Our brother Jerry, KG6J, the morning center, the manager of her shell, had to go home early yesterday with a respiratory infection. She was not feeling very well.

She was in need of a new prescription to heal her of that respiratory infection. We just thought that would work well for her. For our brother, Ed, N6XOH, his brother-in-law Ed, and his wife, need to sell their house.

We ask you to sell them a qualified buyer. Also, Ed, N6XOH's message. We pray for the military to deploy to Israel.

And we pray for safety and protection of the sky and all our troops serving around the world. For Will, Kilo, Mike, Todd, and we pray for new climate, freedom, and radiation. that will it will be effective it's straining his prostate cancer and removing it and hopefully and we pray that that will be removed entirely i hope we pray for will's insurance to approve this alternative prescription for this hormone treatment And we pray that Tisha, we give praise that Tisha is looking better now and is still waiting for a liver transplant.

And also we give praise that the boy Drew, the trans-born who had leukemia, he had his monitor removed recently and now has been declared cured. and he's wanting to take up wrestling. So praise God for that.

For Carol, KK7's TPO, we pray, we ask for healing for her lower back pain and her son-in-law, Chris. who had back surgery and is still in pain. We pray for a good outcome in speedy recovery and relief of that pain.

We lift up Tom, WWF 17, Tom's recovery from major spine surgery. He's in a wheelchair. Now we're praying for his physical therapy.

will provide relief from the pain and increase mobility. We pray that his seat for an Olympic wheelchair will be remadded. We lift up our brother back in Alpha Alpha Phi Yankee, and we pray for his continued healing and a resolution.

He's double visioned. He's waiting for a full restoration of hearing, and it's right here. And also, their neighbor Nancy needs healing from her terminal cancer.

She is also needing salvation. from Pastor Jeff Black, who has a severe ulcer in the lung. We pray for him through the medical treatment that he's received.

We joined together with our brother Tony, K-I-7-T-R-S, and listened up to his father, Roger, who's a stage 4 colon cancer. We give praise that his numbers are better, and he's been given more time. We pray that that time we've been given will be a good quality of life.

And also for the healing of Cody's uncle Doug, a believer from his severe head injury. We pray for his ongoing treatment and recovery. Also Cody's niece and Zoe, that they be in salvation.

For our brother Keith, WFE7RKR, we pray for Keith to trust you God with faith. difficult circumstances that he's had to make godly decisions regarding them. We pray for Keith to have wisdom, patience, and managing his wife, Robbie's, dementia.

For Ronnie to be calm and peaceful. And we also pray that Keith's health needs will be met. We pray for the suppression of the wildfires all around the U.S.

and the safety of the firefighters. Chief at K7NEV's, Grant is currently fighting fires and we pray for his safety in particular. Our brother Steve W6YF, we're willing to be finding a new home to purchase in Tualati County.

We hear him report that his house is going on the market and we pray for a qualified buyer. to be provided. First God, Katie said a YQT who prayed for his wife, Pam, who has severe lupus, that it was going to remission.

He prayed for his daughter, Kendra, and her ongoing multiple chronic health needs. He also prayed for my cellulitis flare up and that that healing process would continue and ensue so that I get back to 100%. For Jim, 1070 KU, our opportunity to share the gospel with others.

We pray for the salvation of all of our children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, of all of those on the bed. For you, God, who work praise in their hearts are a reflection from the ways of the world and the attacks of Satan. We need to join our brothers, Brian and KJ, and EWF in praying for the foundation of our ISC.

And also for Brian's son Abraham to go and pray for Zoe to get married and become saved. There's her six year old Alex and newborn Adam. Zoe said, "Greetings, Bible." We asked that would be an inspiration for her.

And for Jeff, AK6OK, we pray for the need of the three chapels to be built on Jeff Pendleton. And for God to raise up those who manage them, that would be that. Also, praise that he and Patty have both received better sleep, and we want to lift up his son Noah at his wedding today, and also for Jeff, and help him too.

make that happen. We just pray that that will go well today and that your hands will be over them and all of them get a set of boots and flats. We lift up our Pastor Max, the BFB 7MAO, to be traveling today from P.G.

to New Jersey. Also, we ask for travel safety for he and Kathy's we're going to be going to take him up to a former airport today where they travel home. That's what's on our list today, Lord.

There's much, much more. If you know what those are, we've looked those up as well. So with that, Lord, we thank you for your goodness, your mercy, and your praise to each one of us, and for the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ.

KT6J, quick comment for you, Jim. Well, go ahead. Good morning.

Good morning. Yeah, Jerry down here in the southern mother load. I went to one of those, and it may have been the first one.

Spirit West Coast. I googled it, and that was around 1997, and I was attending a small, non-denominational church, evangelical, in Modesto, and was a member of the singles group at that time. I was in my early forties, I think.

A number of members in the group wanted to go to this thing, and we ended up camping out. The memories have dimmed, but I'll never forget listening to Point of Grace, and was just so blessed by their music and the event. And I remember towards the end, it was probably Saturday night, We looked over to the side of the event.

It was a smaller event. That's what makes me think it was one of the early ones. It wasn't huge, but there were a lot of people there.

But there was a small row of law enforcement there, and they were all out of their cars, leaned up against their cars, drinking sodas, totally bored, no trouble to be seen at a Christian event. Back to you, Jeff. Well, that's funny.

I worked security at the stage. I worked backstage, and our stage was actually there for many years. We worked there for 17 years.

And what a great event. It was so successful. And having people camp like that.

Wow, I can't even explain how that changed me for sure. And we enjoyed every little bit of it. And yes, there's no crime there.

You know, it got to the point where they didn't even show up anymore. We didn't need a sheriff there. It was just a peaceful, wonderful event.

And I wish we could still do it, but economically it just didn't work out in the end. Excuse me, but what a great event. Do you remember the Monkey Commando?

I do not. The memories are dim, but there are certain things that I remember, and that's one of them was being blessed by Point of Grace. and what a great job they did.

But there were others there, and they were big name acts for the time for contemporary Christian music. So you did a great job, and years later, here's someone that's going to raise their hand, and thank you for putting those on and being a part of that. Well, thank you.

That was so good to hear. Yeah, Point of Grace, they were fantastic. And you know, they're still around, I think.

I think there were three of them. I think they're still around. I was so blessed to work backstage and meet all the artists.

You get to see a different side of all these folks. They're all kind of just human like the rest of us, too. Who was the name of that group?

Um, the Katinas. And you probably never heard of these guys, but they were a great, kind of a Latin band. And one day, here I'm working backstage security.

It's all fenced off back there. And here comes a school bus full of people, and I'm thinking, "Oh, how am I going to figure out who these people are?" It was the Katinas, and they brought their families, and about three-quarters of this bus was little, tiny kids. And I'm asking the security guys how in the world am I going to tell who these kids are and all that they said Hey, if it's a little kid he probably belongs there over Oh great memory You know, and again, thank you so much.

I have to go get my day started up. I've got pills to take. I've got breakfast to eat and all that kind of stuff.

Otherwise, the day won't go so well. But, again, thank you so much, and thanks to all of you guys. and pitch in and make the day happen, and we'll pray for that.

I'm going to call you up to the gas gauge near Mount Hale. Yeah, anyhow, when I kind of first started, well, now that I've got my ticket in 2023, because I let it expire, yeah, I got familiar with Bob Heil, because I also have a single sideband PB, or so. and the mics and all these authentic mics and stuff like that.

So I ran across Tom Heil in my first year. Wow, that's amazing, you know, that he was Joe Walsh and worked with the greats again, and the Wallace Sound, and Ollie Otto, and I think Humble Pie. Yeah, so many different groups.

What an experience. That guy was quite an audio... Oh, Bob was.

He was a legend, obviously, that'll live on for a long time. Now, you probably couldn't name the street after Bob Howell, and people would have known who that was. At least all the hems, anyway.

And he built a great product. Just love watching him. And he was an organ player that trumped everybody.

He was amazing, over. Oh yeah, I watched him playing the whole pipe organ and yeah, he really had an ear for it because he had a good mentor. And yeah, I don't know about, you know, people can hear a different note and know what it is.

but yeah, it was here and there. It was maybe some of those officers, or if it was an ability to piano, I heard the teacher, they would come in here Yeah, no questions. I'm sorry to see him go Oh I guess it was a few years ago He sold the company to a younger guy Which is great So that's still going on So well thank you Thank you so much for that comment All this is bringing up good old memories for me I have I have probably 20,000 pictures From those events And I think we're going to probably get a lot of that posted up there Be some good memories for some people Yeah, good music, contemporary Christian music out there.

I used to listen to Don Pablo and Keith Green and John Michael Talbot. I loved John Michael Talbot. I was a Protestant at the time, and he's probably Catholic, or Catholic, but I loved his music.

I'm an Orthodox, Eastern Orthodox now. We don't agree with everything that the Roman Catholics put down. In fact, the church split them.

That's why they had the first confirmation. Because Frank came down in Charlemagne. They kicked all the Orthodox priests out and brought in their heretics.

It's quite a crazy church history, that's for sure. Back to you, KK7OPT. Thank you.
