And so the music we sing now, we're going to sing even better in heaven. The instruments we play now, we're going to play even better in heaven. And so what a joy it is now and what an extraordinary joy it will be then.

Okay, we are in Psalm 48. That's what we're going to be studying together today. And we will be looking at the background of that psalm in a minute.

But before we get started, we want to open our time in prayer and ask for God's help and blessing on our Bible study. And so, Ed, N6XOH, if you could open in prayer for us, I sure appreciate that. Go ahead there, Ed.

sure last time here on my father we just can't be as boring as you're asking us we have our bible study that you'll touch each heart here on the philosophy and participating that we can take your words and be able to use them throughout the day lord that you put them in our hearts May the Father's Word bless each one of us here today. Watch over Pastor Max as he teaches there back east. I pray that you'll put the Holy Spirit in all the students that he has.

They'll all gain the blessings and the message that he's bringing. And that they can all learn to know more about you, Lord. Watch over Pastor Max.

It appears, and I say it appears because we don't know for certain, but there's a high probability that the background and setting for the statements in Psalm 48 is the victory achieved under Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah, that is recorded in 2 Chronicles chapter 20. In 2 Chronicles chapter 20, verses 1 to 30, I'll just summarize that. What we have there is the people of Moab and Ammon and Mount Seir came to attack Judah, the southern kingdom.

All right? And Josaphat is really afraid, and he goes to the Lord, and he prays to the Lord. And he says, Lord, we can't defend ourselves.

We need you to defend us. And God responds to the prophet and says, don't worry about it. I will take care of it.

You guys just sing and praise because the battle is not yours. The battle is the Lord's. So they go out to battle against Ammon and Moab and the people of Mount Seir.

And, you know, the people of Moab and Ammon and Mount Seir, they bring their chariots and their horses and their swords and their shields and their spears, right? And Jehoshaphat comes. singing and with prayer and with worship and what happens is God causes the people of Moab and Ammon to turn on the people of Mount Seir and slaughter them and then Moab and Ammon started slaughtering each other and when it was all said and done Israel didn't have to lift a spear or a sword.

The Lord fought for them and they went out and gathered up the spoil. It took them three days to gather it all. And then they had this huge worship service, okay, after this tremendous victory that God had wrought for them.

And they began to sing and to praise the Lord in Psalm 48. appears to be the result of it. Now, in this story and in this psalm, we see a very clear foreshadowing of the new covenant spiritual warfare that's exemplified in this passage.

The enemies of God and his people, As usual, evil for good. By God's own direction, Israel had not attacked Moab and Ammon during the exodus. Had gone around them because they were relatives.

You remember Moab and Ammon were the children of Lot. And God said, those are related to Abraham. You don't get to attack them.

But now they are turning and they're attacking Israel. And so this is how the enemies of God and His people act today. God and the Christian church have been a huge blessing to the people of the world, and yet the people of the world turn and viciously attack God and His people.

But God and His people have different weapons than the people of the world do. The enemies of God and His people use physical weapons like swords and spears and shields and guns and chariots and rifles and bombs and tanks. The people of God used spiritual weapons to do battle.

We use things like prayer and faith and worship and thanksgiving and praise and the word of God. So the enemies of God and his people were defeated with spiritual weapons just like today. And so the people of Israel in this passage in 2 Chronicles chapter 20 triumphed by faith and the weapons of their warfare were not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.

And so the enemies of God and his people wound up destroying themselves through their own sin like they always do. As it says in Proverbs 5.22, his own iniquity shall take the wicked himself and he shall be held with the cords of his sin. He will die without instruction and in the greatness of his folly will he go astray.

And that's a description of all the ungodly nations and all the ungodly people who fight against God. the people of God. But on the other hand, it says of the righteous in Proverbs 4, 25 to 26, Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked when it comes.

For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being. you 48 is the recollection of the people they're rejoicing in this victory that was achieved by spiritual warfare and so what we have here is a glorious description of the old covenant church of god here called the city of god the city of zion and a declaration of god's defense of it his presence in it and its protection over it. And so, in this psalm, we're invited to see the beauty of God's people, the blessedness of His presence in it, and the safety it enjoys under His protecting care.

So, this psalm easily divides into three parts. We have the glory and the security of Zion in verses 1 to 3. We have the preservation and the protection of Zion in verses 4 to 8.

And then we have the praise and the joy of Zion in verses 9 through 14. Now, the term "Zion" that's being used here It simply refers to, well, it can refer to a bunch of things in the scripture, like at least four. So Zion refers to a pile of dirt, a mountain upon which Jerusalem is built.

The mountain is called Mount Zion. And then Jerusalem itself is also referred to as Zion. And then the people of God, the covenant community, are referred to as Zion.

And then heaven is also referred to as Zion in Hebrews chapter 12. So, in our passage, in Psalm 48, Zion is referring to the city of Jerusalem. So, that's a little background.

on Psalm 48 to help you understand what they're talking about when the statements are made in this passage. Jerry, AE 70R, if you could read for us Psalm 48, that would be great. Go ahead there, Jerry.

"Pray unto the Lord, and greatly to be praised, in the city of our God, to the holy mountains. Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth. To Mount Zion in the far north, to the city of the great king, God and her palaces.

He made himself known as the stronghold. Below, the kings assembled themselves. They passed by together.

They saw it. Then they remained. They were terrified.

They fled in alarm. Panic sees from them, anguish as of a woman in childbirth. With the east wind, you break the chest of Tarshish.

As we have heard, so have we seen. In the city of the Lord of Hosts, in the city of our God, God will establish forever. We have sought on your loving kindness, O God, in the midst of your temple.

for such is God. God forever and ever. He will guide us until death.

KB7ZXN. Good introduction. You know, as you point out, 46, 47, and 48 are all tied together.

And like the events you talked about, there's some, you know, other possibilities. But here we see in each of these attacks – the perspective of God's reign and God's rule and God's authority from really three different perspectives. And here, with such a focus on Zion and really the eternal focus of Zion.

And what is so significant about Zion and the city here is not the place as so much as just being a location. But the fact that our Lord resides there and this is the significance of Zion. This is where God has chosen to reside.

This is the people that he has chosen to to separate out. And and so. That is what makes Zion great is because that is where our Lord, the King of Kings, has chosen to reside.

And as we see in this text, it does have eternal implications as well. And we see that throughout the Old Testament as well, as you point out, in the New Testament as well. We see this fulfilled ultimately in Romans, or excuse me, in Revelation 21 and verse 3 there.

also see it, I think, too, in the new covenant and the fulfillment of the covenant with Israel. And as we know in Romans 11, where the Gentiles are grafted into the covenant of Israel, and then in Romans 11, 26, and 27, the fulfillment from Zion, Israel will be saved. So, but what a beautiful picture of assurance again that God gives us in these Psalms.

As you pointed out, these were really real events that took place and a wonderful praise and celebration. God is... the rescue down from their enemies and from annihilation and from destruction as he does us spiritually and ultimately all his people spiritually will be redeemed and of course in the new Zion in the new Jerusalem one day in the city of God we will certainly reside with him with eternal praise KB7 is that example Kevin, great comments.

I really appreciate, you know, you emphasizing the fact that these psalms are about God's reign and rule and authority. Indeed they are. You know, when we live in this world, we tend to look at, you know, the Ayatollahs of Iran or...

you know, the ruler of Russia, the prime minister of England, you know, the president of the United States. These guys are not ruling. God is ruling in the world and in the universe.

He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. And so that's what's being emphasized here.

It wasn't the King of Moab. It wasn't the King of Ammon. It wasn't the King or the people of Mount Seir that were really in control here.

It wasn't even Jochaphat. He wasn't in control either. It was God.

It always has been God. It's God right now. It'll always be God.

And then I also appreciate, Kevin, the way you brought up the fact that Zion is the dwelling place of God. And, of course, you know, that's the... The thing we have every local church is Zion, isn't it?

Because in Matthew chapter 18 and in verse 20, Jesus says, where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst. And so his special personal presence is in his local church. And so every church is at Zion.

And you can see that in some of the hymnody that's been written about marching to Zion and whatnot. And certainly, ultimately, Zion is heaven. the new heavens and the new earth where we're going to be with God forever.

And, of course, as you said in that wonderful passage in Revelation 21.3, that is where God is going to tabernacle with his people. He's going to dwell with his people, and we are going to dwell with him. So Jesus is ruling and reigning, and Zion is what we enjoy now.

God is with us now. He said He will never leave us to forsaken. He's with us in our local churches.

And of course, we will be with Him and He with us in eternity. So, Kevin, great comments and great perspectives to encourage us. in the midst of our difficulties and the political turmoil and the vicious attacks that come to us.

God is in control of all of that, and he's leading us to a blessed place. All right, WB7MAX here. Any more comments, please come out to the call sign.

I'm a month of a whole bunch of learned men here on Bible studies and stuff like that. So I'll try to... I'm not going to be able to hold any muster to that.

The thing that really sticks out to me, this actually just now, the change of focus that is my favorite film testing story. And I just love it because by earthly standards, they were completely overwhelmed. There's no way they could have held off uh three armies and for god the way that he did i mean they didn't even raise the couple as you pointed out earlier they they acquired out front and just started singing and when they came up over the uh the beach after the battle it was all over and yeah, it took a, you know, three days and days of this to gather all the thunder and distance and let God to take the conflict into account.

like that. And, you know, where there's weird and red and turning, it's a complete joy. And I just love that.

I really, really praise the right faith. I like that. Of course, Don Scott has done many wonderful things.

That is one of my favorites. Back to you, Matt. Yes.

Scott, really well said. You know, that passage in 2 Chronicles chapter 20 is an amazing passage. And, you know, I think, Scott, it really foreshadows the second coming of Jesus.

You know, when you look at Revelation 19 and you see him coming, metaphorically speaking on a white horse, sword coming out of his mouth, all those things. His enemies are just slain in a moment and it says behind him are all of the believers in white. Right?

And so Jesus fights our battles for us. He fights them in the Old Testament. We see that especially here.

In 2 Chronicles chapter 20, we see Jesus fought our battle for us on the cross. And he defeated Satan there. And then of course in his second coming, he's going to come in flaming fire taking vengeance and they'll be destroyed in an instant with the brightness of his coming.

As it says in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2. The good news is that Jesus fights our battles for us. He fought them in the past on the cross.

He fights them in the present as we face enemies that are way stronger than we are. For example, Satan and his demons, and of course the political forces that are arrayed against the church. And then of course when he comes, he's going to destroy Antichrist and all of his armies with one blast of his breath.

And so what an amazing thing it is to have God fight our battles for us. And Scott, you are so right. What an incredible encouragement it is to know that God is fighting our battles for us.

God is our guide. And then also, I'm going to say into my conscience, which is a problem. It's a very good thing.

All right, really good. Thank you for that, Ted. Really appreciate that comment on Psalm 14, pardon me, on verse 14 of Psalm 48.

Verse 14 says, "This God is our God forever and ever. He will be our guide even to death." What a comfort that is to know that God will never leave us or forsake us. He says, "Lord, I'm with you always, even to the end of the age." And then He'll be our guide.

And one of the things that Ted was saying is that one of the ways He guides us is not only through His Word, but also in our conscience. God tells us in our conscience what's right and what's wrong. And Ted was saying, you know, when I ignore my conscience, I have a bad day.

And when I follow my conscience, I have a good day. Because the conscience is the guidance. You know, we have the guidance of the Word of God.

We have the guidance of the Spirit of God. We have the guidance of conscience, and then we have the guidance of sound counsel from godly people who are mature and experienced and knowledgeable of the word. And so God makes his way very plain through those methods.

And so the good news is that we don't have to figure this out on our own. We don't have to sit up every day and go, wow, I wonder what I'm supposed to do today. You know, the Bible says elsewhere, I think it's in Jeremiah, Lord, I know the way of man is not in himself.

It is not in man to guide his steps. And so I think that's in Jeremiah 10, as I recall, but don't quote me on that. In any event, the idea is we're not fit to rule ourselves.

And so we need guidance. We're like kids. We need Dad to hold our hand and to help us get safely across the street.

And we need God to hold our hand and get us safely to heaven. And Ted is just pointing out that God is that kind of a God. and he provides that kind of guidance.

We just need to listen and follow. Ted, great comment there on verse 14. Thank you for that.

team 5f will go ahead please i have a question about uh the use of the word lord and the use of the word god in verse one he says how great is the lord how there's everything of praise in the city of our god then down in verse eight he referenced it as the city of our lord of hosts as well as the city of god so is he dressing uh christ because the word lord used as the away So how is that different from the word God that's being used and why both of them can't put this? Yeah, the reason for that, the word Lord is the word Yahweh, and that's the personal name of God, okay? This is the name God uses when he makes covenants.

And this name Yahweh or Lord, capital L-O-R-D in the King James, I'm not sure how it's presented in other versions. some versions translated as the Tetragrammaton, YWVH, but in any event, it's the word Jehovah, okay, that we're so familiar with. And it's God's personal name, Jehovah or Yahweh, or capital L-O-R-D, is only ever applied to God.

It's never applied to the false gods. The word Elohim is the word that's translated God, and that's the general name for God, and sometimes other gods are called Elohim. Sometimes people are even called Elohim.

And that just speaks to the issue of authority. Okay, so Elohim is a declaration of God's authority. Lord or Yahweh is a declaration of God's covenant-keeping character and of his uniqueness and distinction from all other gods.

So we have, you know, Adonai that's used, we have Elohim that's used, we have Yahweh that's used, and then there's a whole bunch of compound names that are used, like Jehovah-Jireh and Jehovah-Ket-Sinu, and all these other compound names that are used. So, Will, the reason why these different names are used in Psalm 48 is not one refers to the Father and one refers to the Son, But it's just referring to different dimensions of God. One time it's focusing on his covenant-keeping character.

The other time it's focusing upon his indisputable authority. So that's the reason for the change. I don't think there's a mention here of the plurality.

of the Godhead in these names. So, Will, that's my best understanding. Go ahead.

Go ahead. All right, any other comments on any of the verses in this passage? Please bring your call cards.

All right, while you're thinking, I want us to focus on verse 1 for a minute. It says, Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of holiness. And so what we have here is a parallel that is drawn between the greatness of God in his person and the greatness of God in his praise.

And so it's important for us to understand that the greatness of God's praise should be in direct proportion to the greatness of God's person. And since his person is infinite, his praise should be endless. In other words, His praise should be as great as His glory.

And since His glory is without measure, His praise should be without limit. And so, the measure of God's praise is the measure of God's person. However great the Lord is, that's how great His praise should be.

And so, that's why we can never praise God enough. That's why the praise is never finished or completed. His greatness is unsearchable.

and therefore his praise should be inexhaustible. And that's why eternity is not going to be long enough to utter all of God's praise. So that verse 1, great is the Lord and therefore is the idea greatly to be praised in the city of our God and the mountains of holiness.

And so it also talks about the place of praise in the city of God. the mountain of the pulpit as well. In this context, that's a reference to, of course, Jerusalem.

And, of course, the new covenant church there is the Zion, the city of God. And then, of course, ultimately in heaven, there's going to be the heavenly Zion. And so in this world, people curse God, but among the people of God, God is praised, and God is praised endlessly and exuberantly and without limit or qualification.

All right, so that's verse 1. Any other comments anybody wants to make, please come out to call sign. All right, well, while you're thinking, let's talk about verse 2.

A uniformed for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great king. And so here we have a declaration of the glory of Zion. notice her situation.

She's elevated above the surrounding territory. Jerusalem was sitting on top of a mountain, literally. And Jerusalem was also at the center of the nation, literally.

And so she brought blessings to the whole earth. She brought the scriptures. She brought the Messiah.

And she was beautiful. not only because of the geography, but also because of the whole reason and purpose for that city living. And that was to proclaim the scriptures of God, to proclaim the worship of God, and of course to proclaim the coming Son of God that was foreshadowed in the temple, the priesthood, and all of the animal sacrifices.

Now, if the church is Zion because it's the special dwelling place of God, then we can say we're sitting in a beautiful situation. And in fact, it talks in Ephesians chapter 2 about us being seated in the heavenly places, right? Isn't that a great situation to be in?

To be saved, to be forgiven? to be adopted, to be seated in the heavenly places with Christ, at the right hand of Christ. Our situation is really beautiful.

And so we need to thank God for the situation we're in, because the situation in the world has been terrible. Okay? Those people are in a terrible situation.

They're in the bottom of that myriket, right? And we're sitting on top of this mountain of God's salvation and God's blessing and with God's care and protection and God's provision, and ultimately will be led into the new earth, which is the ultimate place of beautiful situation that we are in. All right, any other comments?

KB7, KTY, please go ahead. Well, I especially like verse 3, talking about God being a refuge. And I've always felt like a pretty weak woman all through the years, and yet here I am, old, and God has been my refuge all through the years.

And it gives me more and more reason to pray for Him, because so many times I could have died. So many times I could have been in a car accident, fallen asleep on the road, and He woke me up. All I can do is say, "God has fed my refuge all these years and I'm so thankful." Back to you.

Yeah, that is for sure. He was certainly the refuge of the people there in 2 Chronicles 20, right? Where an overwhelming enemy was coming against them.

And what did they do? They ran to their God. They spread out their need before God, and they prayed for his protection, and he provided it.

And so you're right. You know, we are weak, but he is strong. And so we hide in him.

The Bible uses the metaphor of hiding in a rock. And so God is the one who surrounds us with His strength and His protection. And even though we're weak, He's strong.

And just like a father looks out for his little children, picks them up in his arms, shields them, carries them along, protects them. That's how God deals with us. And this psalm is rejoicing in that.

And so God is known in her palaces for a refuge. And so anytime you're feeling vulnerable, anytime you're feeling threatened, anytime you're feeling weak, go to God as your refuge. And he will provide you with protection.

He will provide you with strength. And as Ted TK7OQQ said, he will be our guide. even unto death.

Good to hear you as well. I really appreciated the spiritual emphasis of the heavenly places. because we have a description here in this psalm of a picture for them as a visual heavenly place, the Zion in the Older Testament.

And I love how you moved us into the heavenly places in Ephesians 2:6 that really resonated with me and it also reminds me of this wonderful...well, I was listening to Moody last week and he basically used the illustration from aviation. We need to go from the visual flight experience to the invisible flight experience. The moving from the literal to the figurative or by faith were in heavenly places and that is especially wonderful, especially talking about Mount Zion of our psalm in Hebrews chapter 12, which you know so well.

But we have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels and the general assembly of the church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, you know, and to God, the judge of all, and the spirits of righteous men made perfect. I mean, this is--the Christian, unless he is moved by the Holy Spirit to go to IFR spirituality, it's just-- Well, it just doesn't exist. The spiritual life is really fully moved as we, by faith, move into these realms.

As you've highlighted, I really appreciated you doing that this morning. Thank you, Max. This is WB7VZL.

I really appreciate it, Roger. Thank you for those comments. You know, you're exactly right.

God has given us a privilege, a place, and a position that is invisible to the physical eye, and you know, we can't sense it with our five senses. But nevertheless, the Bible describes the reality of it. I was talking with a man yesterday, and how that the primary reality, the primary reality is the spiritual reality.

And the physical reality we see with our five senses is just the outflow and the results. of the spiritual reality, and yet, because of our carnality and lack of spiritual mindedness and ignorance of the scripture, we tend to look at the physical and think that's all there is. And the beauty of books like Revelation and of course the rest of the scriptures, the They lift us out of just thinking about the visible and the physical and the presence and the touchable into that invisible realm that is just as real as the visible realm, and yet we can only see it by faith, we only see it as the scriptures describe it, and if we do, then we will be spiritually-minded people.

The Bible says to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. And so what we have to do is think in biblical categories, think according to biblical descriptions of what is really going on here on earth in the visible, knowing that the invisible is the larger part and the bigger part of the story. Yeah, what you just summarized, is I was just looking up again, reminding myself the address, 2 Corinthians 4.18. While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

That's the summary of what you just said, over. Yeah, I copy that. And, of course, that passage emphasizes the invisible as being more important than the visible because it's permanent.

And the visible is temporary and because it is far superior to the visible. So, yeah, Roger, thank you for putting out that passage in 2 Corinthians 4.16. And that's the perspective that we have to have on life as well.

Okay, we are out of time and it's time for us to go to prayer. But I just want to comment for a second here on verses 5-10. through 7, where it talks about the enemies of God.

It says in verse four, "Lo, the kings were assembled, "they passed by together, they thought, so they marveled, "they were troubled and hasted away." Fear. So, verses 4 to 7 describe the evil, the wicked, Satan, his demons, all of those who serve him. and what we see here is a tremendous deceit, just like the children of Ammon and the children of Moab and the children of Mount Seir in 2 Chronicles chapter 20.

So it's going to be. All throughout this age and at the end of the world, The people of Satan have something to fear, and we have nothing to fear. God's going to defeat them, and we need to just stand back and see the salvation of the Lord, the deliverance of the Lord, and the power of the Lord.

We're the winning side, and we are the people who are triumphing now and will triumph, as Paul says, thanks be unto God, who always causes us to triumph. through Christ Jesus. All right, it is time for us to go to prayer.

Father, we thank you so much for this passage in Psalm 48. Lord, we thank you for the note of victory that it contains. Thank you for the note of praise that it contains.

And Father, thank you for the confidence it gives us, that even though we are assaulted by enemies that are overwhelming, the world, the flesh, the devil, whatever form it may take, thank you that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us and that he will give us the victory in the triumph. Help us, Father, to see the invisible things as being more real and more important. than those things that we see here on this earth.

Father, we just want to pray today for Sandy, W7SAB's sister, Sherry. Father, Sherry has been stricken with Bell's palsy. Lord, I pray that you would heal her.

I pray that the prednisone would bring the inflammation and that nerve down and she would regain the use of one side of her face. Lord, just have mercy on Sherry and give her a quick healing with reference to that Bell's palsy. Lord, we just...

I want to pray for Scott, KD7YQT, who's traveling to be with family. Lord, we pray for his wife, Pam, that she would be able to be healthy and well enough to be able to travel in comfort. And, Lord, that they would be able to have a good time together as family.

Lord, just surround Pam with your grace and your mercy and give her special strength and well-being, Father, as they make this trip to be able to be with family. Give Scott wisdom, Father, in caring for her and may your arms be around them both, Father, as they travel. Lord, we just want to pray for our brother Ted, KK7022.

Father, there's a lot of smoke and ash in this place. We pray that you would bring a little bit of wind to blow it away. But, Father, we also don't want those fires fanned with flames.

Lord, there's a number of people on this net who are having trouble breathing because of smoke from forest fires. And Lord, I pray that you bring relief. Cause those fires to be put out and the air to be cleared.

Father, I want to pray for Roger WB7VCL and his wife, Daylene. who are traveling to Portland for memorial service this coming Sunday. Lord asked that you would not only give them a safe journey, but special skill and grace as they minister in music at the funeral and provide a note of hope and encouragement and uplifting to those who are grieving the loss of their loved ones.

Father, we just want to pray today for Ed in 6608 and his brother-in-law, Ed. Father, they need to sell their house. Steve W6YSI needs to sell his house.

Lord, I pray that you would facilitate those sales and bring buyers so that they could move on with their lives the direction that you are leading them. Lord, we continue to pray for our brother Will, KM5F. for healing for her lower back pain.

Lord, we pray for her son-in-law, Chris, who had back surgery and is still in pain and recovery. Father, I pray that that recovery would go really well and that he would be able to have a good outcome and a speedy recovery. Lord, we pray for Tom, WW7T, to be able to share the gospel with her.

Especially, Father, she's suffering from terminal cancer. Lord, I pray that her thoughts would go to, what's going to happen to me after I die? And that as a result of that, she would seek Christ in forgiveness of her sins.

In reconciliation with you and help her to remember, Father, it's appointed in the man once to die and then the judgment, and she needs to be ready for that. Father, continue to pray for my pastor, Pastor Jeff Black. and his severe ulcerative colitis.

Lord, I pray for his healing through the medical treatment that he is receiving. Thank you that there's been some improvement, Lord, but he has a long way to go. And pray, Lord, that you would bring that to pass rapidly.

Father, we continue to pray for Cody, KX7CRF, his dad, Roger. Lord, thank you that there's been some improvement in some areas of his health challenges. But Lord, he still has this colon cancer.

They've told him he's got two to three years of treatment. Lord, we're asking for a miracle. We're asking for a complete healing of all of his medical needs.

Lord, we just pray that you would have mercy on him. Lord, we pray for Cody's Uncle Doug. who had this severe head injury.

Lord, we pray for his ongoing treatment and recovery. I pray that he can get that feeding tube out and he can go into rehab and make progress towards getting back into life. - Pray for Zoe and her salvation.

- Father, brother Keith, WP Center RKR continues to have ongoing challenges with his help. He continues to have ongoing challenges in dealing with his wife, Ronnie, who has Alzheimer's. Lord, give me wisdom and patience and just a calm spirit, Father, in dealing with Ronnie and some of the difficulties that come as a result of the degeneration of her mind and Lord may Keith turn his heart toward you.

Pray to you, trust in you and from you grace and strength to be able to get through the days ahead, Father, in a way that is God-honoring and is a blessing to him and to Bonnie and to you. Lord, we just pray for the suppression of wildfires in the Western United States. Lord, there's a bunch of them.

Lord, I pray that people would stop and consider about the fires of hell and what that's going to be like. And Lord, may this foreshadowing of the lake of fire, Father, be to them that which drives them to Christ. Lord, we pray for the safety of the firefighters.

We pray especially for Keith, K7NEV's son, Grant, who is currently fighting fire. We pray for his safety in particular. Father, we pray for Steve, W6YSI, for wisdom in finding a new home to purchase.

in Tuolumne County, California. Lord, just provide he and Leslie with wisdom as to what home they should select. Lord, we pray for Al, KJ7QQH.

Al has cellulitis flare up in his leg. I pray, Lord, that the antibiotics that he's been given would be effective and that that would go away. Pray for his healing, Father.

and for his mobility and freedom from pain. Lord, we can pray for our brother Jeff, AK6OK. Lord, his niece Haley needs salvation.

And Jeff and Patty are having trouble sleeping at night. Lord, having insomnia. Pray, Lord, that you would give them rest in their bodies.

I pray that they would be able to sleep well. And Lord, we pray for Jeff's grandson, Noah, who's having a wedding this Saturday, getting married. I pray, Lord, that that marriage would be blessed by you.

I pray that it would be centered on Christ. And I pray, Lord, that the gospel would be set forth at that wedding in such a way that all of those who are kind, Father, would consider their relationship with you and take action as needed. Lord, we continue to pray for Autumn and her mental stability, the development of her social skills, and her deliverance from false theological beliefs.

We pray for her salvation and her trust in Jesus. Thank you, Father, for her recent humility. With reference to Roger and Daylene, I pray, Lord, that you would just cause her to grow up, draw near to you, and be saved by you.

Father, we continue to pray for little Alice, Carol, KK7TPO's great-granddaughter. Pray that you would protect her from ungodly influences in her home. We pray for her salvation.

Lord, we just pray that the adults around her would not harm her and that some of them would lead her to Christ and bring her out of that place of great difficulty. and bring her into a place of safety and protection and instruction in the Word of God. Now, Lord, we want to just thank you for your goodness, mercy, and your grace to each one of us.

And, Father, we thank you especially for the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior, in whom we trust alone. for the forgiveness of our sins. Father, we ask all these things in Jesus' name.
