But we are going to go ahead and get started with the West Coast Bible Study. We are in Psalm 33 today. And so, interesting psalm.

But before we go into that, we want to open in prayer. And so, Will, King Mike 5 Foxtrot, could you open in prayer for us today, please? Yeah, KM5F, gracious Heavenly Father, we thank you for this West Coast Bible study, Lord, and we just lift up our voices in requesting that you listen to our prayers as David and others often did.

We thank you for the many budgets that you've bestowed upon each and every one of us, and ask for your blessings as we read your holy word. We pray for those that have health issues, Lord, and for those that are giving care to them. Lord, we also pray for the medical people that are working on different individuals in our group and others that we love.

We ask for your blessings upon us as we witness to others daily. We just pray that you would keep Satan and his minions at bay from our lives. In Jesus' name we pray.

Amen. Amen, Will. Thank you so much for that prayer.

I really appreciate that a lot. Okay. All right.

We are in Psalm 33 today. And Psalm 33 is a very interesting psalm. You know, there's a lot in our lives and in our circumstances that can create discouragement and cause us to become despondent.

We're fallen people. We're living in a fallen world. and the thorns and the thistles of opposition and the vanity and the futility of much that we experience can leave us discouraged and depressed and disillusioned.

But for the Christian, there's an antidote to all this negativity that we are surrounded by, and that is the contemplation of God, the worship of God, and the exercise of faith and trust in God. So getting our eyes off of our circumstances... And getting our eyes on to God is the antidote for despondency.

We have to lift our eyes off of our circumstances and place them on Him and recognize that out of His sovereignty and His grace and His goodness, we can have peace in our heart. Because when we think about the situation we're in, you realize God's sovereign, right? And so he made our circumstances.

He controls our circumstances. He's designed these circumstances for our good. And he's going to deliver us through those circumstances and ultimately out of those circumstances.

So when you look at the perspective of the psalmist here, notice what he says in verses 18 through 20. He says in Psalm 33, 18, Now there's a God-centered person. Now notice the circumstances, verse 19.

To deliver their soul from death... and to keep them alive in famine. That's their circumstances.

He's facing death and famine. But where is his heart? It's on the Lord.

It's hoping in his mercy. Verse 20, our soul waits for the Lord. He is our help and our shield.

So here he is in a set of circumstances that involve death and famine. Indeed, by themselves, those are cause for tremendous despair and discouragement. But for those who focus on the Lord and fear the Lord and hope in the Lord, for them, there is confidence that God is going to deliver them and preserve them.

And so as the psalmist is contemplating the possibility of war and death and famine, he calls upon us in this psalm to praise the Lord. And the vast majority of the psalm is about praising the Lord, rejoicing the Lord, thinking about the Lord. The Lord does all these wonderful things.

And then he throws in this little statement here in verse 19 about that he's in a situation of death and famine. So why does he call on us to praise the Lord? in these difficult circumstances?

Well, because praising the Lord in difficult circumstances is the way to overcome the hopelessness and the discouragement and the despair and the despondency that those circumstances can lead us to have. So, when I get down and discouraged, I need to follow the advice of David here in this psalm. And that is to praise the Lord, maybe sing or listen to music that praises the Lord, or just express our confidence in God verbally.

Because by doing so, you drive away... those dark clouds that are hanging over your head that are the result of your circumstances. So this is a counsel.

We've got all this counsel to rejoice in the Lord and praise the Lord, even in the most dire of circumstances. All right, that's a little background on our psalm, so we're going to be reading a lot about praising the Lord, but recognize that that's being done. in the midst of difficult circumstances.

All right, that brings us into reading our psalm. Steve, W6YSI, if you could read our psalm for us, I'd sure appreciate that. Go ahead, Steve, Psalm 33.

Hey, Psalm 33, I'll be reading from the New American Standard and just being reminded as we read that... God's word is inspired, infallible, and imbutable. I'm thankful for it.

I'm part of it. Listen. Psalm 33.

Sing for joy in the Lord. Amen. O you righteous ones, praise is becoming the upright.

To thanks to the Lord with the lyre, sing praises to him with a harp of ten strings. Sing to him a new song, say skillfully, a shout of joy. For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his work is done in faithfulness.

He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of the lovingkindness of the Lord. By the word of the Lord the heavens remain, by the breath of his mouth all their host.

He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap. He lays up deep in storehouses. And all the earth fears the Lord, that all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

For he spoke, it was done, demanded, and it stood fast. The Lord nullifies the council of nations, He frustrates plans of the people. Counsel for the Lord stands forever.

Plans of his heart. Generation after generation. Blessed is the nation.

the God, the Lord, the people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance. The Lord looks from heaven. He sees all the sons of men.

From His dwelling place, He looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth. He who fashions the hearts of them all, he who understands all their work. King is not saved by a mighty army.

Warrior is not delivered by great strength. Horse, our heart rejoices in him because we trust in his holy name let thy loving kindness O Lord be upon us according to we have hoped he are the reading of God's word 36 YSI All right. Steve, thank you so much for that great reading.

Really appreciate that. Also appreciate your comment at the beginning that we are reading the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. And this is not just the words of men, but the very words of God himself.

Steve, thank you for that. All right, any comments on Psalm 33? Please come down to the call line.

This is WB7VZL. Roger, please go ahead. Well, it's a very clarion call, and thank you, Steve, for that wonderful, expressive reading, contemplative reading, which was very helpful.

But verse 16... no king is saved by the size of his army and elaborating on that and the strength of horse strength etc. and then of course in contrast the eyes but the significant word, but the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him.

What a contrast, as you've highlighted, even in the introduction. But I think that's real pinnacle. There's some wonderful creative aspects here, too, that will highlight, reminding me of the Fourth Commandment as well as Psalm 8 and Psalm 19.

Go ahead, Max. Yeah. Yeah, Roger, you're exactly right.

This psalm is a wonderful psalm in terms of lifting our eyes off our circumstances and onto our God. You know, these first opening verses, Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous, praise. is fitting for the upright.

Praise the Lord with harps, sing them dim with paltry, and an instrument of ten strings, sing a new song, play skillfully with a loud noise. So those first three verses are all about music. And, you know, Roger, that's what you do, playing your viola and, of course, your wife playing the violin and using those instruments to bring praise to the Lord.

And, you know, music is a huge antidote to depression. And time and again I found myself lifted out of discouragement about my circumstances by listening to music that provides the words that direct my heart toward God, to a contemplation of who He is, what He's done. and what he's done for me in the past and what he's going to do for me in the future in terms of lifting me out of these conflicts and these difficulties that I'm in the midst of.

Go ahead. Well, yeah, the elaboration of the music, how could I have missed it? Thank you.

One of the -- Dr. Neil Nedley of Nedley Therapy down in California, he's a worldwide acknowledged authority on melancholy and depression. and the circulation of the funnel of, which is kind of the source of depression.

And all that is involved with that needs that, you know, a great therapeutic experience for that funnel of circulation is the type of audio that we listen to. And he's a strong advocate for the Baroque organized music of composers like, well, I guess, Haydn, Mozart, Vivaldi, Bach, some of those basic rewiring of the brain. So, as you say, there's music therapy here at the beginning of the psalm, aren't there?

Yeah, and I think, Roger, we've got to be careful what kind of music we listen to because there's music that will deepen our depression and deepen our sadness. You know, because some tunes are very, very melancholy and lead us to dark thoughts. You know, one of the things that I hear counselors talk to soldiers who have PTSD, you know, don't listen to sad music.

Listen to happy music. And you're right, the style of music has a huge impact on whether it lifts our spirits, whether it drives us towards carnal thoughts, or whether it drags us down into depression. So choose carefully when you are listening so that as you evaluate the impact of the music you're listening to, does it lift you up toward the Lord?

Does it drag you out toward the world? Or does it drag you down into further sadness and depression? You know, when we're sad, we kind of tend to gravitate towards things that reinforce the sadness.

So we listen to sad music. Well... don't go there listen to happy music and fight against that sadness and that depression all right Roger great discussion there all right any other comments on this passage please come now okay six okay Jeff a case it's okay go ahead I've had my coffee so we're rocking and rolling verse one through three about music let's go to Revelation 5:9 And they sang a new song saying, You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.

And then over in 14.3... think about this one this is revelation 14 3 and they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders no one could learn the song except 144,000 who had been redeemed from earth 144,000 there you go mac Well, yeah, Jeff, real good. And also in 15, in verse 3, and they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, And Jeff, as you pointed out, Revelation is saturated with music.

Revelation is the book about God's victory over the world and the flesh and the devil and false religion and ungodly people. And a lot of that victory is expressed in music. So, yes, thank you.

Revelation, over and over and over again, brings out the fact that the people of God are singing to God. They're using musical instruments in heaven. We see the same thing here in our Psalm 33 about the psaltery and the harp and the instrument of ten strings.

And so, you know, having instruments, having words that encompass God's saving, redemptive work, man, that stuff lifts me up because it sets everything in its proper perspective and framework. You know, one of the major problems we struggle with is losing perspective, right? And it's focusing on a very narrow set of circumstances instead of on the broader picture of where do these circumstances fit in the plan and program of God and especially what he's done in my life.

And so thank you for pointing out those passages in Revelation, Jeff. Wonderful passages and lots of expression of singing and praising God in heaven in Revelation. All right, other comments, please come now.

9K6OK with one more. Yeah, Jeff, go on ahead. Yeah, you were asking about prayer concerns and praises.

I've got a major praise, and that was, we go to, we attend Elevation Church in South, uh, North Carolina, and as a lot of you know, a lot of today's Christian music is coming out of that church, uh, a very big church, but... A few months ago we donated an organ, a Hammond B-3. And for those of you music aficionados out there, you know what a B-3 is.

Almost every major black church in America has a B-3 floating around somewhere. Anyway, it had a few issues. We've been working over the months with a company out there to repair the one that we sent out.

I didn't realize it had some issues. But yesterday they got it completely running. It's back up on the stage.

And this Sunday they're going to get rocking and rolling on that thing. And the music that comes out of that church is incredible. And talk about uplifting.

There's nothing downtrodden about any music that comes out of there, over. Yeah, amen. And so glad that, you know, that instrument's been provided and is going to be used.

And, you know, that's the thing is that all sorts of instruments are listed in the scriptures that are used in the praise of God. And, you know, in Oregon, probably approximates the human voice almost as well as perhaps the violin. and a wonderful way to accompany God's praises.

So thank you for that report, Jeff. That's good to know that that's going to be used in the worship of God. All right, any other comments?

Please come now. I'm sorry. Well, you know, I'd like to comment on verses 16 and 17.

You know, he says there's no king saved by the multitude of a host, that is, by the multitude of an army. A mighty man is not delivered by much strength. It doesn't matter how good your conditioning is.

And then verse 17, a horse is a vain thing for safety. Neither shall he, the horse, deliver any by his great strength. So, you know, we're not trusting in the numbers.

We're not trusting in our own strength. We're not trusting in the tools that are at our disposal. We're involved either in physical warfare or spiritual warfare.

You know, we're looking past the instruments, and we're looking to God himself. and putting our trust in him. So if you're in the battle right now, you know, God is gracious to provide some wonderful instruments.

You know, if you're sick, yeah, we've got doctors and we've got medicines, right? And, you know, if you're struggling, you know, with other things, God provides money and friends. In other areas, sometimes God provides family, you know, husband, wife, children.

These are all things that we look at and we say, well, those things can help us with our problems. But it's important for us not to put our trust on those things or those people, but to look past them to the God who is enabled to use them and to bring about His purposes through them. There's another passage as elsewhere in the Psalms where it says, "Some trust in chariots but we will trust in the name of the Lord our God.

So by all means, look for means, embrace means, use means, but look past those means to the one that provides them and works in and through them. You know, I think about the Lord's Supper, right? We have the wine and we have the bread, right?

But you're not trusting in the wine and the bread. You're looking past them to the one that they represent. And are we to use the means of wine and bread?

You bet we are. Does God convey grace to us through the communion service? Yes, He does.

But there's no magic in the instruments, right? The amazing grace that comes to us in the Lord's Supper comes to us through the one that those instruments represent. And He works through those instruments to bring grace to us.

the same way with our circumstances so um david is giving us perspective here uh use the means that god provides but don't trust in the means look to the god of the means all right any other comments please come down ak6 okay i hope i'm not taking up too much time here Jeff you are not if there's silence speak up brother. Thank you for that. All right any other comments?

Go ahead there Jeff Please go ahead. Yes The message verse 20 through 22 love how this is put We're depending on God. He's everything we need What's more our hearts brim with joy since we've taken for our own his holy name.

Oh Love us, God, with all you've got. That's what we're depending on. Amen.

And there's a God-focused, God-centered fellow who is recognizing where all the help comes from, where all the blessings come from, and where all the praise belongs, right? I mean, if we're going to trust in God to help us and we're helped, then we've got to give God back the praise. And so that's what David's doing here.

That's what we need to do as well. Jeff, thank you for reading that out of your version. All right.

Any other comments on this passage? There are some great verses in this passage. Just grab one and talk about it.

Well, you know, verse 6 and 7. Somebody talk about verse 6 and 7. That's amazing.

Well, I got lost up. Yeah, I'll talk about 13 and 14. Yeah, good people.

Yeah, I just, you know, it just amazes me how we can so get depressed. And in that depression, we start forgetting. forgetting who's in charge and who's in the heavens above.

It says in 13, The Lord looks from heaven and sees all the sons of men. From his dwelling place he looks out on all the inhabitants. You know, we need to be reminded of that on a daily basis, if not by an hourly, by the minute.

You know, in this crazy world that we're living in right now and what's going on and whatnot, it's easy if we just concentrate and listen to all this news that comes out and whatnot, it becomes depressed. But it reminds me of King Asa. He got himself in trouble and he started trusting where he was.

He knew before from previous battles that he was involved in, it was God that saved him. He defeated tremendous armies, but he kind of lost his mind for a while, and he made some stupid choices and decisions. And, you know, that 2 Chronicles 16, 9 is such a verse for me.

He says, Lord, you know, his eyes are going to him forever. I can't think of the right words. Doing from all of the earth, and he's watching over his people, those that he loves.

He's going to take care of us, and we need to be reminded of that every day, every morning at the beginning of the day, that God's in control here. He's got his mind on us. He loves us.

And everything that he does in this world, in his providence, ultimately it's in the direction he is going to save his people. He's going to save his church. We are going to survive if we're going to be in heaven.

That to me, in this world we're living in nowadays, there's nothing better than to hear that and be reminded of it. W6YSI. Yeah, Steve, really well said.

Thank you so much for bringing out those verses and that perspective. is perfect towards him and so um our passage here psalm 33 verses 13 and 14 the lord looks from heaven and behold all the sons of men from the place of his habitation he looks upon all the inhabitants of the earth and yes he's just bringing out the fact that god is supervising everything that's going on he's in control of everything that's going on and he determines the outcomes And so therein lies our peace. You know, we live in crazy circumstances.

You know, when you look at the political events that are going on around us, you look at the social events that are going on around us, you look at the direction of the nation and everything, And just the moral and economic insanity, the cultural insanity that's going on, it's really easy to be despairing, but to know, like Steve said, that God sees it all, that God is managing it all, and he's going to use it to defeat his enemies and to bless his people, to bring us out on the other side into the blessedness of the new heavens and the new earth, What an encouragement that is to know that God sees. You know, for the wicked, that's a terrifying thing, for them to think God sees. And for the saved, it's a wonderful thing.

Praise the Lord, God sees. And so, Steve, thanks for bringing out that omniscience and that supervision that God is bringing out and that moral governance that he's carrying out. so that we can have peace and confidence in the midst of this chaotic, crazy world in which we live.

God's in control, and God's bringing it to a definite conclusion, and nothing can stop that from happening. All right, any other comments? Please come now.

You know, and it certainly congruent with the first that's been on my heart since last night. And I was reminded of, and that's John 16, 33, where our Lord Jesus tells us that we will have tribulation in this world. But be of good heart because he has overcome the world.

KB7 Zedekson. Yeah, Kevin, great copy on the Utah SDR, by the way. Hear you crystal clear.

Thank you for that. Yeah, John 16:33, "In the world you'll have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I've overcome the world." And so, yes, we can be of good cheer even though we're in the midst of tribulation. Kevin, what a great passage to reinforce and extend Steve's comment.

Thank you for bringing that up. And once again, that's the whole issue of perspective we were talking about earlier, right? And that's why we need to know the promises of God.

You know, we've got these huge passages like the one that Kevin just quoted to us, the one Steve quoted to us. You know, we've got passages like, "God works all things together for good." "Supply all your need according to His riches in Christ Jesus." And, you know, all these other passages that if we just focus on them, suddenly everything comes into perspective. You know, when you've got bad vision, right, everything looks fuzzy out there.

But then when you stick your glasses on, boom, everything goes sharp, right? And so what we've got to do is put on the glasses of Scripture, and then suddenly everything becomes clear. Everything is understandable.

We see things for what they really are. And we don't get knocked off kilter because of what's going on in our circumstances. Kevin, thank you.

Jeff mentioned verse 20 through 22 in the message. In the NLT, it reads a little bit differently. To me, it clarifies things a little bit.

Verse 20, "We put our hope in the Lord, He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy name. Let Your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in You alone." KM, by this.

Yeah, well, thank you for reading verses 20, 21, and 22 out of the NLT. Yeah, and that's real close to what the King James said, you know. King James says, "Our soul waits for the Lord." For he is our help and our shield.

For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee. So, you know, we've got several things to hear about God.

Verse 20, he's our help, he's our shield. And then verse 22, we have his mercy. Okay?

So his help is shielded in our mercy. What's the result of that? Our heart rejoices in him.

We trust in him. And, of course, it talks about hoping in him again in verse 22. So, you know, we need hope in the midst of discouraging circumstances.

You know, when you're dealing with, for example, a suicidal person, The number one thing that person needs is hope. They need something positive to look forward to and to live for. And that gives them a reason to go on as opposed to ending things.

And, you know, Satan comes to steal and kill and destroy, and he wants us to have self-destructive thoughts. He wants us to have hopeless thoughts. He wants us to get to the point where we want to just give up and quit and end it all.

And what God does is he comes that we might have life, have it more abundantly, to fill us with hope and optimism about the future and to know that these dark circumstances we're in have a remedy. And there is deliverance from this. And there is good reason to not only go on living, but have an attitude in that life of optimism, of assurance, of confidence, and of joy, looking forward to what God is going to do.

and how he's going to take the worst of circumstances and make the best out of them and through them deliver us into a large place, green pastures, still waters, and the paths of righteousness where there is a table spread... and our heads are anointed with oil and our cup runs over. Jeff, 8K6, okay, please go ahead. one last crazy thought in let's see 13 through 15 from high in the skies God looks around and he sees all Adams brood from where he said he overlooked all the earth dwellers and this this is particularly what we'll be talking about he is shaped each person in turn now he watches everything we do my concordance led me to this, which is crazy about left-handed people. Deadly accurate slingers.

And the reason I say this, I'm left-handed, and this caught my eye. Judges 2016 highlights a contingent of 700 men from the tribe of Benjamin who were all left-handed and could sling a stone at a hair and not miss. And ambidextrous warriors in 1 Chronicles 12:2 mention specialized warriors that could use both their left and right hands to shoot bows and throw stones.

And I'm thinking, this is how God deals with us individually. We may feel stupid, we may feel left out, we may feel different. God has a place for every one of us and watches us from the skies.

Yeah, amen, Jeff. You know, our greatest weaknesses are also our greatest strengths. You know, it's amazing how you look, Jeff.

You've got a toolbox, right? You got a crescent wrench, you got a pair of pliers, you got a hammer, you got a screwdriver, you got some socket wrenches, right? Now every one of those has tremendous weaknesses.

A crescent wrench makes a lousy hammer, and a hammer is terrible for getting nuts off of a bolt. But each of them have their strengths, right? And a hammer is great for pounding, and a crescent wrench is great for turning the nut off of a bolt.

And so here you are a left-handed guy, I'm a right-handed guy. You know, you're sharp with electronics. I understand some things about theology.

And you know, God has a toolbox full of tools, right? And you're one of those tools, and I'm one of those tools, and everyone on this net is one of those tools. And every one of us has a unique capability that none of the rest of us have, and that's why we need each other, is because you can do stuff I can't and vice versa, And we need a variety of folks because, you know, you don't just have like two tools in your toolbox, you know.

You've got like 20 different things. And so the blessing is that God fashions us according to the job he has for us to do. And we need to just embrace that job and rejoice that, yeah, you know, you're left-handed.

I'm right-handed. I'm so glad you're left-handed because you can do stuff I can't. And I'm right-handed.

I can do stuff you can't. So interesting that God would take note of left-handed people, ambidextrous people, right-handed people. I mean, the Bible talks about us sitting at the right hand of God, right, that position of honor and authority.

Right. there's variety there's unity in that variety and thank the Lord for that we are out of time we need to go to prayer this is a wonderful psalm we haven't touched on a lot of the passages here verse 10 The Lord brings the counsel of the heathen to nothing. He makes the devices of the people of no effect.

The counsel of the Lord stands forever. His thoughts to all generations. So the wicked have their plans.

God has his plan. Guess whose plan prevails? and I just encourage you all to meditate on each of these verses and ask yourself, what does this mean to me and my circumstances?

And you'll get a lot of encouragement and edification from it. All right, any final prayer requests before we go to prayer? Please come down to your call sign.

any kind of comment i'd like to make a comment yeah go ahead and make a comment go ahead okay one thing that we've learned from autumn one of our prayer focuses is left-handed people statistically are on the autistic autistic spectrum that that was something that we didn't realize over Yeah, well, I think some left-handed people are. Maybe they're more predominantly represented there, but there's plenty of left-handed people that aren't autistic. But that's interesting, Roger.

All right, well, let's go to the Lord in prayer. Our kind and gracious Father, thank you so much for this passage and how much it gives us to rejoice in as to what you are and what you have done for us. Lord, we're just so grateful that you are the one who's supervising everything and that the plans of the wicked will come to nothing and the plans of God will always come to fruition.

And so, Lord, we just rejoice in you. We recognize that there are many devices in the heart of a man. Nevertheless, the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.

And so, Father, we thank you that you created everything. and that you're managing everything and that you'll bring everything to its proper conclusion. As it says in Romans 11, 36, For of you and through you and unto you are all things.

To you be glory forever and ever. And now, Lord, we have some prayer requests that we would like for you to hear. and needs that we need for you to meet, Father, because we can't do these.

We cast ourselves on you, Lord, and ask you to meet these needs. Father, we want to pray today for Ed in 660H, his brother-in-law Ed. want to praise you that his heart ablation procedure was successful.

But Lord, they need to sell their house. And we just pray that you would send a buyer along quickly, just like you did for Ed's trailer. Lord, send a buyer for their house, we ask.

Lord, we pray for Will, KM5F. that his hormone treatment and radiation in the future will be effective in restraining and removing his prostate cancer. Father, we continue to pray for Carol KK7TPO.

Pray for the healing, Father, of her lower back pain. Lord, give her relief. Give her mobility.

Give her freedom from pain. Lord, we heard from Carol that Chris... And Lord, I pray that he would be able to have the diabetes under control in the future so that he might receive the surgery down the road.

Give him wisdom, Father, in knowing how to manage that condition that he has. And Lord, I pray that things would go well for him. Father, we just want to pray today for Tom, WW7T.

Father, I just pray that you would bless Tom as he goes to the doctor today. to receive some wound care. Lord, we pray that you would provide him with that electric wheelchair that he needs.

Lord, I pray that Medicare would approve of that purchase and provide it so that Tom can have the mobility that he needs. Lord, I just pray that you would give him strength in his arms. I pray that you give him strength in his legs.

Deliver the cramps he has and Lord I just pray that he would recover well from his spinal surgery and Lord I just ask that he would have peace and fellowship with you Lord we just want to pray today for Brother Beck for the continued healing and resolution of his double vision and Lord we pray for full restoration of hearing in his right ear pray that he be able to clear out that ear canal Father so he can hear well Father, we just pray for his neighbor Nancy, that Lord, you would not only heal her from her terminal cancer, but also most of all and most importantly, that you would save her soul. And Father, bring her to repentance and faith in Jesus as her Savior. Father, we want to pray for my pastor, Jeff Black, for his ulcerative colitis.

Father, thank you that there's some slight marginal improvement, but Lord, he's got a long way to go and I pray that you would continue to heal him and to bring him back to full health. Father, we just want to continue to pray for Cody, K-I-7-TRF, his father Roger. who has stage four colon cancer.

Lord, he's having difficulty breathing. Had to go to the hospital. There's some spots on his lungs.

Lord, have mercy on Roger. Lord, thank you that he knows you and that the family knows you. And Lord, we just pray that...

your will would be done in Roger's life Father we ask for healing but Lord we know it's your will that all of us sooner or later die and Lord if this is the way you're going to take him then Lord I pray that you would do it peacefully and that there would be great joy all around knowing that in heaven there's no more pain or sorrow or death or crying Lord, I just want to praise you for Cody's Uncle Doug, who had this severe head injury in this accident. Lord, thank you that he's fully conscious now. And Lord, he's on a feeding tube, and we get the report that when he gets off the feeding So Lord, we just thank you that you have helped him overcome the mental trauma.

And Lord, we just ask for continued healing for Doug from his head injury. Help him to get out of the feeding tube soon. And Lord, make progress towards healing.

Lord, we just want to continue to pray for Keith K7NEB. and his son Grant and his wife Rachel, who have been running a kids' Bible camp for third- to sixth-graders this last week. They're wrapping it up today.

Lord, we pray for the salvation of the kids and their parents, Father, if they're not saved. Just give Grant and Rachel wisdom in bringing the Bible Kids Camp to a conclusion. And Lord, I pray that the final messages would stick in those kids' minds and they should use it for their salvation.

We also pray for Keith, WB7RKR. that Keith would just be able to trust God with his difficult circumstances, pray that he'd make godly decisions regarding them, pray that he would have wisdom and patience in dealing with his wife Ronnie's dementia. Lord, we pray for Ronnie that she would be calm and peaceful, and that Keith and Ronnie would have a good day today, focusing on you, praising you, listening to your music.

Lord, we pray for Keith's health needs. Lord, he needs help with his balance. He needs help with his heart.

Lord, I pray that you would meet both of those needs so he can continue to care for Ron. Lord, we just thank you that Steve W6YSI got home safely. And Lord, that he was able to see a bunch of homes in Tuolumne County Lord, just pray that you would give him lovely wisdom now as they reflect on their trip, help them to make sound decisions that will be a blessing to him and to their future and the direction that they should go in.

Father, we continue to pray for Scott, KD7YQT. Lord, his wife Pam has severe lupus. Lord, we pray that that lupus would go into remission and stay in remission.

Lord, we pray that Scott would be able to get his antenna out so he can join us on the net. And so Father, may your good hand be on Scott and may he know your blessing. Father, we want to pray for Mike, W7TWO, for the salvation of his grandson, Jaden, who is immersed in rock and roll culture.

Lord, I just pray that you would turn him from evil to good. And, Father, cause him to repent and use his musical talents for your glory instead of glorifying Satan. Father, we also want to pray for Sean's recovery from his motorcycle accident.

Father, we thank you that he's a believer in Christ. Just relieve him from pain and give him healing, especially in his ribs. We pray for Mike's wife, Sherry.

and the love that they've shown to move the dial in Autumn's heart so that she would be brought to saving faith in Christ. Father, we just want to continue to pray for Carol KK7TPO's great-granddaughter, Alan. Lord, we pray for Alice that you would protect her from ungodly influences in her home.

We pray for her salvation. And Lord, we pray that she would be exposed to people who would be a positive influence in her life and not a negative influence. Father, we just want to thank you that Beck had a safe trip to Eugene and back.

So we have to make sure that we're going in the right direction when we're using a tool, whether it's a physical tool or a spiritual tool or a theological tool.

Yeah, and whether it's a physical thing or a spiritual thing, we've got to be sure that we're headed in the right direction and not the wrong one. So good illustration there, Will. Yep, I've been fooled by a left-hand thread more than once.

I'm going to walk away from sin. and it'll go towards righteousness. And yeah, if you're trying to tighten a left-hand nut instead of loosening it, you've got to stop and go the opposite direction.
