And of course he got medical treatment. And you know, God used the medical treatment to heal that little boy. And Will just said he saw him at church.

and he is growing and doing well. So, Will, thank you for that update. What an encouragement that is to hear not only of his healing, but also his growth and continued presence in church.

Mike, please go ahead. This is W7TWO. Good morning, everyone, and welcome back there, Bec.

I'm going to be a little bit more specific here. Father, we come to you this morning with the intention of putting you to work. We thank you for who you are and what you've done for us.

Open our minds and our hearts, Lord. for the scripture this morning, and give us opportunity to read these scriptures to enlighten other people that we meet during the day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Amen. Thank you so much for that, Mike. I have a couple of people that I want to check in here.

So, all right, real good. I think we've got everyone. Yep, all right, we're caught up.

Okay, Mike, thank you for the prayer. Appreciate that. Okay, we are in Psalm 15.

Now, Psalm 15 stands in quite a bit of contrast to Psalm 14, which we read yesterday. Psalm 14 talked about the fool. It says in his heart, there is no God.

And there's a description of human depravity there and how the Lord looks down and sees that they're corrupt, they're abominable, none of them do good, they're altogether filthy, they're gone aside, etc. And so it was a description of the unsaved. Now, in chapter 15, we have a description of the saved.

And these people are all described by how they conduct themselves. So here in Psalm 15, David says before us the positive characteristics of a true believer and also the negative characteristics that no true believer has. And so those who remain in the dwelling place of God, that is, who remain in God's presence, are those who manifest these positive characteristics David set forth, and who do not practice the sins which David lists.

So, faith people are stable and they are solid in their faith. They're not moved away from God's fellowship, God's blessing, or God's acceptance. Now, it's important for us to note, as we look at Psalm 15, that it is not the behaviors listed here that gains.

favor and acceptance with God. God's favor and acceptance are given by grace through faith in God's promised Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. But those who are saved by faith are also born again with the result that their changed nature always results in changed behavior and that behavior is listed here in this passage as to what it looks like.

So what we have in this passage is the question asked to the Lord in verse 1, and then the answer given by the Lord in verses 2 to 5. So if you look at the question, and we will be looking at the answer, and what we see here are the fruits of a saved, converted, regenerate heart. All right, Steve, W6YSI, please read for us Psalm 15.

Hey, Psalm 15 will be reading again, once again from the New American Standard. O Lord, who may abide in thy tent? Who may dwell on thy holy hill?

He who walks with integrity and works righteousness. speaks truth in his heart. He does not slander with his tongue, nor does evil to his neighbor, or takes up a reproach against his friend, in whose eye they reprobate despised.

But who honors those who fear the Lord, swears to his own herd, does not change. He does not put out his money at interest, nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things...

will never be shaken. 36Y at 5. Steve, thank you for that reading.

Well, that bottom line is quite a promise. The details are outstanding too, but boy, he who does these things will never be shaken. That is an amazing statement, Oliver.

Well, yes it is, Roger, and it has to do with what we're standing on and what we're standing for and who we're standing with. And if you're standing on the rock and you're standing with the rock, then you're not going to be shaken because the rock isn't going to be shaken. And, you know, that's the metaphor Jesus used in the closing verses of the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew chapter 7.

He talks about the man who hears these sayings of mine and does them, I will liken him to a man who built his house on a rock. And the winds came and the rain came and the waves came and that house didn't fall because it was founded on a rock. And so of course when we build our life on that foundation of the Lord Jesus, that's And then we have stability.

We have security. We have perseverance because we are connected to that which is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So, yes, you know, you can tell a real Christian because in the good times...

They don't become proud, and in the bad times, they don't become despondent or despairing. They're just stable and smooth. You know, not to say they don't have some ups and downs.

They do. But overall, they're just sailing through life with a compass and a rudder that's fixed on the lighthouse of the Lord Jesus. Yeah.

And, yeah, the winds and the waves come and they get bounced around a bit, but the course that they're on, the direction they're going, and the continuous nature of their progress is all a result of the fact that they have genuine saving faces. and that their affections are set on things above. Their affections are set on Christ.

Their affections are oriented by the scriptures. They live by the promises. And therefore, they have stability in the midst of chaos.

Because I'll tell you, you see people bouncing around all over the place. They're up, they're down, they're sideways, they're right. they're going in a new direction now uh that's not the nature of a christian so roger thank you for pointing out the stability that someone who has faith in christ manifests in all the vicissitudes and changing uh times of life back to you there roger Well, if you saw my Bible, I would put, under that, "She'll never be shaken, Sermon on the Mount," and "Wise man built his house on the rock." Thank you for that parallel.

So, yeah, you know, everything changes except Jesus who never changes. and so um that's where all of our our certainty and stability stand uh jeff does that does that song have a name can you give us the name of that so we can look up those lyrics later uh yeah it's called i go to the rock and you hear uh Whitney Houston sang this, if you remember. KG6J. KG6J, Jerry, please go ahead. Yeah, one real quick comment.

It reminds me of the fruits of the Spirit, and I think that's in Galatians. And that's all I wanted to add. Matt, you pass the bat.

Casey, take the chance. Yeah, real good. And in fact, the fruits of the Spirit are those things that characterize a person who is stable and a person who is consistent and a person who is not blown about by every wind of doctrine.

and by the cunning craftiness of men whereby they lie in wait to deceive. So that's Galatians 5 and verse 22 and 23. Galatians 5, 22 and 23.

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace. long-suffering gentleness goodness faith meekness temperance against such there is no law so yes when a person is manifesting the fruit of the spirit there is a stable person there is a consistent person there is a person who is not affected by his environment but he is affecting his environment. I've often heard, Jerry, the analogy used of a thermostat and a thermometer.

A thermometer responds to its environment and is a reflection of its environment. A thermostat controls its environment, and it stabilizes all the things around it because it itself is setting it. standard so anyway we need to be thermostats and not thermometers with the idea of that illustration all right other comments please come down ak6 okay again hi Jeff please go ahead my concordance you know we are going to be a lot of people who are going to be able to get It says, the true citizens of Zion are righteous, truthful, just, and honest.

Thomas Jefferson called this psalm the picture of a true gentleman. Over. Yes, and he is so right.

So Thomas Jefferson called this psalm 15 the mark of a true gentleman. And, you know, as time goes on here, we want to get into both the positive things and the negative things. So, you know, a Christian...

and gentlemen, and those things are synonymous. You know, one of the things about Christianity is it creates a culture, and it creates an ethic of a cultural interaction between people that is just very pleasant, and it's very courteous. Christianity promotes good manners.

And so for Thomas Jefferson to say that this psalm sets forth the nature of a true gentleman is exactly correct. The positive things here are wonderful virtues. And those that are not something he practices, verse 3, Um...

are things that are destructive of relationships. You know, backbiting is destructive of relationships. Doing evil to the neighbor is destructive.

Taking up a reproach against the nature, being a gotha, those things are all destructive. And so the Christian doesn't do those. So Jeff, Jeff, I agree with the other Jeff, Jefferson, who says that this is the description of a Christian gentleman.

Kevin, KB7ZXN, please go ahead. Yeah, KB7ZXN, you know, very good observation, but I do want to throw out this... this one caution, but it is addressed in this psalm.

You know, this is not just simply a list of performative expectations here to be right with God. You know, as you recall, the rich young ruler in three of the Gospels, Jesus makes a very important example of, as in Luke 18, 18 where he comes up to Jesus and says, What must I do to be saved? Well, Jesus outlines, you know, after confirming them, after being called good and addresses that issue, he says he gives him a list of some of these relational issues under the Ten Commandments.

In fact, he covers pretty much all of those that deal with the horizontal relationship with each other. And this guy, this rich young ruler, can easily check off those boxes. But there's one in particular, actually a couple of important laws that he has missed, and that is recognizing who God is and surrendering himself for God.

See, it's not performative. It's from the heart. And in this Psalm we see that, "Who speaks truth in his heart." And this is where the rubber meets the road.

This is the inwardly look. The fruit, as I think you pointed out, Jeff, it's true. This is the fruit, the virtues that result from that walk, from that relationship, with God and we need to be very careful in our heart with our heart and that we are not deceiving ourselves Jeremiah points out in 17:9 our heart can be quite deceptive so who speaks truth in his heart is really to me a key component of this psalm because that speaks to the inward relationship of truly being right with God in your heart and these scroll from it unlike the rich young ruler who is trying to find a way that he can find his way into the kingdom of God by what he does we know that Our gift of grace, our entrance and opportunity of salvation is by God's grace and mercy alone, not by our works.

KB7, is that acceptable? Yeah, Kevin, really well said. Thank you for bringing that out.

That's in verse 2 there that Kevin was referring to. It says, verse 1, Lord, who shall abide basically in your presence. who will dwell in heaven with you?

What are the marks of a saved person? Verse 2, he that walks uprightly and worketh righteousness. Now here it is, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

And so Kevin was emphasizing that this is not just external performance. This is something that has to proceed from the inner man. In other words, these are genuine characteristics of the character and not just external performances while we are corrupt inside In order to just get the approval of men And so this person here who speaks the truth in this heart is someone who's inwardly honest with himself In other words, he doesn't lie to himself his inner dialogue with himself in his personal thoughts is is carried out with integrity and honesty and humility.

He recognizes that all his thoughts are consciously expressed before the presence of God. They're judged by the word of God and they're exercised in the fear of God. So here's a man who sits in judgment on his inward thoughts, knowing that God sees him, knowing how God would judge them.

And so he not only lives before the eye of God, he thinks before the eye of God. And every true Christian understands and knows about this inward dialogue of integrity with God and before God. and in light of the Word of God.

And then, of course, out of those thoughts, he judges himself and he says to himself, self, stop that. Or self, that was the right thing to do. That's the right way to think.

You just keep on doing this. And so we have this inward conversation with ourself and with God. Out of it, then, flow...

all of these other virtues. Why do we walk uprightly? Well, because in our heart, in our communion with God, we know that's the right thing to do.

And so out of the heart, we seek to walk in an upright fashion. Kevin, thank you for talking about the core, the fountain out of which all of these virtues flow. And that is from the fountain and core of a truly converted heart that is humble before God, honest before God, and has integrity before God.

Jeff, AK-6, OK. Go ahead. Sorry to keep jumping in here, but there's a lot of different perspectives on this for sure.

From the message, God, who gets invited to dinner at your place? How do we get on the guest list? And verse 2, walk straight, act right, tell the truth.

don't hurt your friend don't blame your neighbor or despise it despise it the despicable keep your word even when it costs you make an honest living you never take a bribe and you'll never get blacklisted if you live like this. Isn't that interesting? You'll never get blacklisted.

That's a current term. Yeah, well, that's quite the exposition and interpretation, and there's a lot of good thoughts there, Jeff. Thank you for sharing that with us.

Appreciate that. And lots to reflect on and meditate on there in terms of how this looks in our application. Yeah, you know, you remember the parable, Jeff, of the wedding supper.

And the guests showed up and one of them didn't have a wedding garment on, right? And the host of the wedding says, "Where is your garment?" And he was speechless and he cast him out. That story is in the Gospels, right?

He got blacklisted from the wedding because he didn't have the righteousness of Christ. He wasn't dressed in Christ's righteousness. and so he still had on the filthy garments of his own self-righteousness.

So yeah, who is going to dwell in God's presence now? Who is going to dwell in God's presence in eternity and be accepted and embraced and welcomed? It's those who are dressed in the robe of Christ's righteousness through repentance of sin and faith in him.

And they will never be cast out of the wedding feast of the Lamb. that is talked about there in Revelation 19. All right, great comment there, Jeff.

You may have already emphasized that. the parable that Jesus told. But, yeah, the--what I recall is, or at least the assumption is, that they were given--they were given the wedding garment, and apparently he didn't think it was necessary, over.

Yeah, that's exactly right. The wedding garments are handed out for free. And we just have to embrace them and accept them by faith.

And, you know, there's this passage in Isaiah. Let me turn to it, Roger. And maybe you can find that passage.

Let's see, let's find the book of Isaiah. I'm trying to turn pages here with one hand. I'll get to it.

You guys just be patient with me. Um... Ah, let's see here.

Yeah, here it is. Yeah, so it's Isaiah 61 and verse 10. Isaiah 61 and verse 10.

It says, I will greatly rejoice in the Lord. My soul shall be joyful in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation. He has covered me with the robe of righteousness.

As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments and as a bride adorns herself, All right, Roger, real good. Thank you for that. So let's provide some perspective here on this list, okay?

So there's the positive things. In verse 2, he walks uprightly, he works righteousness, he speaks the truth in his heart. And then verse 4, and those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake.

So we have these lists in the Bible. Jerry, KG6J brought up the fruits of the Spirit. That's another list of virtues, right?

And so we have these lists of virtues, and from them we have a picture of what does a real Christian look like. Well, they look like Psalm 15. They look like the Beatitudes in Matthew 5.

And they look like the fruits of the Spirit in Galatians 5. And so, you know, we ask ourselves, well, am I a saved person? Or is this other person, are they saved or are they not saved?

Well, how are we going to make that determination? Well, by their fruits you shall know them, Jesus said. And so we see that the whole book of 1 John is oriented around this whole set of perspectives.

And the perspectives there are in 1 John, Hereby do we know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He did keep it, not his commandments, as a liar. Right.

and the truth is not in him. Hereby do we know that we know him. If we love the brethren, he who loves not his brother abides in death.

And it goes on, right? And so we have all of these tasks of character and conduct in the Bible that mark out who is a Christian and who is not a Christian. Now, these things don't make us Christians necessarily, but they mark us out if we are Christians.

What makes us a Christian? Repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ plus nothing. So we're saved by grace through faith.

It's not of ourselves. It's a gift of God. It's not a work.

Lest any man should boast. But God has created us into new people, and new people have new behavior. And that new behavior is manifested in our walk, in our thought, in our speech, in the way we treat other people.

And these lists tell us what that looks like. So it's the nature of salvation. that it always transforms, and that transformation looks like the character and the conduct and the thinking and the speaking that are listed in these passages.

Steve, W6YS5, please go ahead. Yeah, I was thinking about this verse 4 of this last statement there. He swears in his own heart.

He does not change. One of the things that's always been striking on my heart and thinking over the years is that the way God created us, He created us to be a part to be a responsible person. What I mean by that is that whatever I say or whatever I do, however I live, however I act, I am responsible for a lot of things that I do.

I make choices. I... I think a certain way, I talk a certain way, and I have to realize that I'm responsible for me.

I can't blame my stuff on somebody else. Grandma made me do this because she didn't make my 16th birthday a cake or whatever. God means for us to be responsible people.

And when we say that we are going to do something, we're going to live up to something, we need to realize that that's, here's where true responsibility comes in. This is where we're gonna be held accountable. And I think a lot, about those that are young people, but even as we get older, we're going to get married.

We're going to join our arms and hands with our wife. How are we going to treat her as we grow together? And...

This thing, it's a responsibility thing, and it's poison heavy on my heart. Let me fix why it's not. Yeah, Steve Waltz said, you know, that sixth virtue that's mentioned there, he who swears to his own hurt and changes not.

You know, a Christian is one who keeps his promises Even when he realizes at a later date That keeping his promise is going to be far more costly than he ever realized Back when he made the promise And this really applies to marriage, doesn't it? Okay, we're at the altar, we say You know, for better, for worse, for richer and poorer In sickness and in health, till death do us part And I'll keep myself only unto you And those promises are easy to make. But as the years unfold and things don't go perhaps the way we expected them to go, and we do have a difficult marriage, we stick to our word.

A Christian is a man of his word. For him, he would rather suffer any loss. before he would become a liar by breaking his promise.

And breaking promises is the mark of someone who is not a Christian because a promise breaker is a liar. And, um... It's not the nature of Christians that they are liars.

So this is the mark of a true worshiper of God, a saved man, who's fit to be in the presence of God, is that when he makes a commitment, he sticks with it. You know, Steve, it's the same way when we became a Christian. I mean, at 17 years of age, right, I repented of my sins, I asked Jesus to save me, and I recognize now He is the Lord of my life, and I need to follow Him.

Well, here I am 50-plus years later, that text of these virtues, of these qualities here. And also you know, as those that are saved, that are born again into Christ, we see, you know, I think we also see fulfilled in Ephesians 2, 22. In Him also, we are built together in Him for for for gossip and tell lies about his neighbor.

He despised the vile. You can read about that in Matthew 23. And he honored those who feared the Lord and stood with them and for them.

And, of course, when he swore to his own earth, he didn't change. He promised to bring redemption, and he did, even though it was painful and cost him the cross and the forsaking of his father. And, of course, he threw the money changers out of the temple, right?

He wasn't greedy of money, and he didn't use money. whatever funds he had, however little they were, to take advantage of other folks. And, of course, he was never moved.

He was solid as a rock. So, yes, these list of virtues, you look at the Beatitudes, you look at the fruits of the Spirit, you look at all the tests in 1 John of a saved person. you look at this passage we have before us.

Jesus met all of those qualifications and manifested all of those characteristics. Alright, good comment there. Any other comments?

Talk about, if you would, the issue in verse 5 about bribes. And it's qualified here, and I'm curious about how you've pondered this, that nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. How does the King James say it?

Over. Yeah, the King James says in verse 5, He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh a reward against the innocent. So that taking a reward against the innocent is the idea of someone who will violate justice for money.

So, for example, if you had a judge in a court of law, right, and the one person is clearly innocent, but he receives a large bribe, to find him guilty. And so this would be an example of someone who perverted justice for the sake of money. He doesn't take a reward against the innocent.

What does yours say there, Roger? Go ahead. Yeah, it says he does not take a bribe against the innocent.

Yeah, copy that. Okay, so the idea here is that this person can't be bought off with money to pervert justice, over. Thank you.

Yeah, and you know, you see that in politicians all the time, right? If you give a politician enough money, he'll vote for anything, even if it's contrary to the best interests of his constituents, because he doesn't care about the people he's supposed to be representing. All he cares about is lining his own pockets.

So we see that all the time in our day. And, you know, there's a passage in the Old Testament that says to the judges, You know, you shall not pervert justice out of favor to the poor or out of favor to the rich or out of pity to the poor. And, you know, we can't say, oh, because this person is poor, we'll let him off the hook, even though he's guilty.

And you see that in the, you know, the whole social justice movement of our day. It's like, well, yeah, this person is poor, so even though they murdered or stole or raped or committed arson, they should be set free. No, it doesn't matter how disadvantaged the background you came from.

If you're wrong, you're wrong. You need to go to jail for it. On the other hand, we see the super elite of our society committing all sorts of crimes, and no one ever charges them.

They're never brought to trial. They're never convicted and thrown in jail like they need to be. And so we see favor being shown to the rich in violation of justice.

We see favor being shown to the poor in violation of the justice. And as people of God, we should be blind to someone's circumstances and to their background, and we should only say, what did they do? And if they did wrong, they need to be condemned.

If they did right, they need to be justified. You remember the Statue of Lady Justice? The blindfolded on and then the scales of balance, the balance of justice in her hand.

All right, any other, let's see, oh wow, we're out of time. Okay, wow. All right, any final prayer requests before we go to prayer?

Please come down. All right, well, these are the marks, then, of a safe person. They have an inflexible integrity.

They do the right thing when others are doing the wrong thing. They're honest in their own thought life. They reject evil people.

They embrace good people. They keep their promises, and they don't pervert justice. So those are all great things for us to measure ourselves by.

Am I this kind of person? All right, we have our prayer list here we want to go through now, and let's turn to the Lord in prayer. Our kind and gracious Heavenly Father, we thank you so much for this psalm.

And, Lord, as we read it, we realize there's areas where we need to improve. not in order to gain salvation but in order to work out our salvation that is to work out the implications of what it means to be a saved person and so Lord thank you for these lists and I pray that as we are humbled by them Father, we might determine to do better with references to them. Father, thank you that we're not saved by our performance, but our performance does indicate whether we are saved.

Father, we just want to pray today for Daylene. She has a doctor's appointment. to check up on her cancer situation.

Lord, we pray the report would be a good report and that things would go well. Thank you, Father, that her cancer is in remission. We know she's continued to take some chemotherapy.

Lord, I just pray that you would use that to cause this cancer to never reappear again. And may Daylena Rogers just have a good day as they go and visit the doctor and receive a good report. Father, we're going to pray today for our brother Mike, W7TWO.

We want to remember Jocelyn, Mike's granddaughter. And we pray for her salvation, Father, and that Mike would be able to continue to have a conversation with her. And, Lord, we pray for Mike's shoulder, that you would heal it, Father, he's got arthritis there and also in his hand.

Lord, the polio is attacking his legs. Lord, I just pray that you would put his body back together by your power and that you would give him relief from these symptoms and from these issues. And, Lord, I pray that he'd be able to get that pipeline laid, that you would give him freedom from pain to the point that he can operate his excavator, lay that pipe, get it covered up, and be ready for winter for Randy and the place he has to live there in the trailer.

Father, we just want to pray for our brother Will, KM5F. We haven't heard about his PET scan results yet. But Lord, I just pray that that would be a good result and that he would have a clear bill there.

Father, I just ask for Sandy, W7SAB, her neighbor, Nancy, has terminal cancer and is getting chemo. Lord, we pray for her healing. Lord, you can do a miracle, and I pray that you would.

We pray also, Father, for her salvation. Lord, I pray that Sandy and Beck would be able to have a conversation with her about the state of her soul, especially since this cancer has been declared to be terminal. And, Lord, the chemo seems to be designed to delay the inevitable.

But, Lord, when the inevitable comes, may she have faith in Jesus and be redeemed and be taken into heaven. Father, we thank you for the good news. about Crew from Will, KM5F, that he's at church, he's growing a couple of inches, and that he's flourishing in his health.

Lord, thank you once again for answering our prayers for Crew, and thank you, Father, for the medical treatment he got. And thank you, Father, for working in and through it to bring healing to this young boy. Lord, we just want to pray today for our sister Carol, KK7TPO, for healing for her lower back pain.

Father, she's having trouble getting around. Lord, have mercy on her and relieve that. And Lord, her son-in-law, Chris, needs to be well today.

so that he can make it to his doctor's appointment today for his upcoming back surgery. Father, I just pray that he would be able to make that appointment and that that surgery that's going to occur at the end of this month would be successful. Father, we pray for Bert, W7RKD, his friend Tom, a Whiskey Whiskey 7 Tango.

Lord, he's got a lot of struggles in his life. He lost his wife a few months ago, and that's hard enough, but now he's recovering from major spinal surgery. Lord, he's in a wheelchair and in serious need of daily assistance.

Lord, I pray that you would meet Tom's physical needs for assistance. I pray that you would heal his back. so that he may have full mobility and freedom from pain.

And, Lord, we pray that you would meet his emotional needs, that the loss of his wife, Father, would be not only a source of sadness but also a source of joy, knowing she's with the Lord and that Tom will be with her one of these days. Father, just bring peace and comfort there, I pray. Lord, we pray for Jerry E7ER and Sister LaToni.

I meet healing from her multiple myeloma. Lord, we just pray that you would be pleased to bring this blood cancer under remission so that Toni would be able to operate well, protect her kidneys, Father, and I pray that she would know healing. Father, we just praise you that back Alpha Alpha 5 Yankees back home now.

that would assist in that process. Father, we pray for our brother Cody, KS7TRF, his mom with a broken arm, and his father with his colon cancer. Father, they both need healing, and we pray that you would bring that to pass.

But Lord, our hearts are really burdened for his uncle Doug, who is a believer in Christ, but father suffered a severe head injury. And, Father, we understand that after his first surgery, they weren't able to save one of his eyes. And, Lord, he has additional surgeries coming up.

And, Lord, I just pray for maximum healing. And, Lord, that he would have full function of his brain. And, Lord, thank you for the fact that he's able to squeeze the family's hands.

Lord, that's a good sign. But Lord, we just pray for wisdom for the doctors. We pray for ongoing treatment and recovery.

And then there is the Cody's Needs Zoning. Father, this young woman needs salvation. Work in her heart and draw her to Christ.

Lord, we pray for our brother Keith, WB7RKR. that he would be able to trust God with the difficult circumstances he's in and to make godly decisions regarding them. Father, we pray for his wife, Ronnie, and her sister, Harriet, Lord, that you would meet their medical needs and their mental needs.

Father, be pleased to bring healing and wholeness to them. And I pray that their situations will be managed well by the doctors. Lord, we continue to pray for Al, KJ7QQH, his son John, who we've been praying a long time, Father, regarding his cancer.

And Lord, I just pray that you would be pleased to heal him. And Father, may the maintenance chemo keep that cancer in remission and ultimately may it be removed from his body. We pray for Al's neighbor, Lucas.

who lost his hearing. Father, we understand he may be getting a cochlear ear implant. Pray that that would go well.

Pray that you would restore his hearing. Father, my friend Rick Bofinger needs to sell his business. Lord, we thank you for his healing from malignant melanoma.

Lord, we just pray that that would not ever reappear in his body. now that it appears to be eradicated. Lord, we pray for a buyer to come and purchase this building so his stress levels can be dramatically reduced, which is important for his ongoing health at his age.

Lord, we pray for Jerry, KG6J, and the unspoken request for health and life issues. Lord, we had an MRI on his back. We pray for an accurate diagnosis of what is the source of his pain and, Lord, that there would be an effective treatment plan that flows out of that MRI that was done.

Lord, we continue to pray for Carol, KK7's TPO, her friend Judy, who is a believer in Christ, who has a lung cancer. Father, we pray for her healing. Lord, we pray that she would be able to breathe free from any cancer in those lungs.

Lord, we thank you for our brother, Doc, W6RLJ, who also was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. And, Lord, that was causing severe kidney problems. Thank you, Father, that they're treating that now with chemotherapy.

Thank you that he's home now. And, Lord, I pray that as he receives ongoing treatments, that this multiple myeloma would be kept in remission. Lord, we continue to pray for the missionary work on the island of Fiji.

May that go forward and flourish. And, Father, may many be brought to saving faith in Jesus as a result. Lord, we continue to just pray for our nation.

Lord, we've had our 250th anniversary. Lord, we just pray that you would be pleased to bring revival and repentance to our nation. And Lord, that we would follow your will and your ways.

Lord, defeat the wicked who rise up to try to destroy our constitutional republic. our capitalistic economic system, and the freedoms and liberties that we have known for 250 years, Father, defeat them. And the Council of the informal fashions, Father, may they just fall into a pit and not be able to recover.

And, yes, I was informed by Bax's very thorough prayer about your condition we're praying for. Absolutely. All right.

Yeah, Roger. Well, thanks for being there to you and everyone else. I'm just going to try and straighten things out and get it ready for tomorrow.

Roger? There was an engineer that had a severe stroke. and he couldn't use the computer.

He's a brilliant engineering teacher. He's a ham also, a red rat. And he just had a terrible time.

In fact, he invested in a, let's see, a, a special compartment that increased the atmosphere. Oh, I'm sorry, the name escapes me, but a chamber. And as a personal point, and he went through treatment and he's now able to have the site put together.

But I have a feeling through prayer, Dad's going to bring that together. Over. Yeah, that's called a hyperbaric chamber, Roger.

That's it. Hyperbaric chamber. And I think he paid about like $6,000, $8,000 for it.

But it was so severe that he knew that this was a good investment for his recovery. But that's the last person that I remember hearing about how he just could not visually work things out on looking at a computer screen. Thank you so much, Max, for the guiding of us with Psalm 15.

Praise the Lord for that. It's a great passage, a very precious passage for sure, and a good one to challenge us. to continue to live in such a way that we bring credit to the name of God.

Yeah, hyperbaric chambers, what they do is they put you under like two atmospheres of pressure, plus they put pure oxygen into them. And so what that does is it allows oxygen to saturate your tissues and, in a way that normal atmospheric pressure does not. We operate under one atmospheric pressure that only has 21% oxygen in it, and so that's all the oxygen we get.

Well, in a hyperbaric chamber, you have two atmospheres of pressure and 100% oxygen, and oxygen is essential to the healing of tissue. And so a lot of athletes... will use hyperbaric chambers to speed up the healing from injuries so that they can get back into the game sooner.

So, yeah, it's definitely a legitimate medical... and I didn't realize that you were so beautifully informed. I had no idea that the athletes use it.

But, yeah, it does accelerate healing, so I suppose with athletic injuries, that would be a wonderful asset for them. Well, thank you, guys. We'll look forward to Psalm 16 tomorrow.
