So that was a couple, three weeks ago, I guess now. She's still there in that waiting process. Yeah, those that really like socialized medicine, that's one of the aspects to it there.

So yes, being in the UK. Anyway, I did hear the update about Beck earlier, so hopeful there. Any idea when they'll be able to make that determination?

I think they'll be making that determination today. So, anyway, yeah, we should hear from Sandy. As soon as she knows something, she'll let me know, and I'll let you guys know.

So, anyway, his nose is healing up really well. They took the... the plaster off of his nose and his face is doing well, he's just got this pesky infection.

At least we hope that's all it is. And if that's all it is, the antibiotics have actually beaten his fever down. He doesn't have a fever now.

So that's a good sign that that's all it is. They just don't want to see any spinal fluid in that pus pocket. That would require additional surgery.

But if there's none there, then he's going to be back on the road to healing. Over. Roger, roger on that.

Well, we'll continue in prayer and stay hopeful. And that is a good sign. I'm glad they're being thorough, though, like that to, you know, eliminate any possibility of other complications.

But, yeah, it sounds very promising. All right. Well, we'll look forward to that here.

For anybody who has a hard time hearing Kevin or our friends in Idaho or Montana, the Utah SDR, you can hear them really, really well. And that's how I listen to Kevin. I just want to hear his voice.

state call sign on my radio. I click on my Utah SDR and able to hear him like he's sitting next to me. So anyhow, that's one reason why I repeat a lot of times what the weaker stations say because I know other people can't hear them.

We are in Psalm 11. And before I talk about Psalm 11, I'd like for George K to KJX to open a prayer for us today. George, please go ahead.

Thank you, our Heavenly Father, for your loving kindness and mercy towards us. and for sending the Lord Jesus to pay our sin debt. You give us your spirit to guide us in the truth.

You call us to worship you in what we say and do. And may we fight our battles on our knees by following you. And we ask these things in your name, Lord Jesus.

Amen. Amen. Amen.

Thank you so much, George, for that prayer. I really appreciate that. All right, we are in Psalm 11.

And Psalm 11 is a very interesting psalm because David has a bunch of people coming to him saying, you're in trouble, there's no help. you need to just run away and hide because of your enemies and the fact that there's no structures left to help you and to bring about any deliverance for you. And basically these people that are talking today that are trying to strike fear into his heart, anxiety into his heart, and cause him just to run away and hide from this problem that is besetting him, and that David responds to them.

And he says, I'm trusting in the Lord. Why would I be afraid of these people? And so what we see here is faith is the antidote to fear, and a lot of people will counsel you to be afraid of this or that or the next thing.

And while certainly we need to have a legitimate caution about the threats that are around us, In the end, those threats are not in control. God is in control. And that's what David recognizes, and that's what David articulates.

And so unbelief focuses on the enemy, and it's preoccupied with him. It can do nothing but talk about Him and what He's going to do. But faith focuses on God, is preoccupied with God, and can do nothing but talk about Him and what He is going to do for us.

So the lesson is just simply this. We do not need to fear the future because the enemies of God's people are known to Him. They're under His control.

he has contempt and hostility toward them and he will destroy them in the fire brimstone of hell God loves his people look after his people the Lord will lift up his people above other enemies in due time that's the perspective here of this song Great psalm, good application to us. All right, Will, cue Mike 5 Foxtrot. If you could read Psalm 11 for us, please go ahead.

On KM 5S, I'll be reading out of, let's see, oh, the NLP for a change. Verse 1. I trust in the Lord for protection, so why do you say to me, fly like a bird to the mountain for safety?

The wicked are stringing their bows and fitting their arrows on the bow strings. They shoot from the shadows at those whose hearts are right. Verse 3, the foundations of law and order have collapsed.

What can the righteous do? But the Lord is in his holy temple. The Lord still rules from heaven.

He watches everyone closely, examining every person on earth. Verse 5. The Lord examines both the righteous and the wicked.

He hates those who love violence. He will rain down blazing coals and burning sulfur on the wicked, punishing them with a scorching wind. For the righteous Lord loves justice.

The virtuous will see his face. That brings us to the end of Psalm 11. KM5F.

K2KJX, K7E, yes. All right, we had a double there. We'll take them in order.

First of all, George, K2KJX, you go ahead first. Yeah, reading the Psalms has been such a blessing to me these past, I guess, eight days, a minute now. And I just get so much out of this, and I really, yesterday or maybe the day before was, where David wrote that he's a father to the fatherless.

That really strikes home to me. But anyway, I've just been really blessed over these reading of the Psalms and discussing it. Over.

Yeah, copy that. All of the Psalms are a tremendous blessing because, you know, really the book of Psalms is the book of heart communion with God. And you know, one of the things that we struggle with is how do I talk to God?

And how do I share my heart with Him? And how do I hear from Him? And the book of Psalms facilitates that process better than any other book in the Bible.

Because what you have is people sharing what's going on in their innermost heart. And how they're talking to God. and then their confidence and faith in God.

And so I just find it so refreshing to my inner man and to my heart relationship with God. So George, I'm glad you're finding the same thing with you and that the blessing is flowing to you. And so thanks George for that testimony and that encouragement.

All right, that brings us to Eric, KD7. Yes, Eric, you had a comment. Go ahead.

Yeah, I actually had a question and kind of pointed out that these people, these counselors are coming today to say hey you need to get get out of here um my question is was this during uh when sol was him or was this when he was um when his son was kind of coming after him and whatnot i i was just curious if that was written because of that i wasn't very sure yeah you know nobody's really sure of what this incident was really what it is it's a conversation between two people and so we've got david's words here responding to this individual who is saying to him, verse 1, flee as a bird to the mountain. And he's repeating what this guy is saying to him. So the guy is saying to him, flee as a bird to the mountain.

The wicked are bending their bow. They're making their arrow on the string. They're going to secretly shoot at you.

You know, all the foundations of law and order have been destroyed and there is no authority structure to which you can appeal to receive deliverance. So kind of a scenario in which the rule of law is broken down and it's just violence all around and David is outmatched in that circumstance. You know, Eric, there could be a number of times in David's life to which such a scenario would apply.

Could be during the time of Absalom. Could be during the time when Saul was chasing him around and he was having to hide in caves. Don't know the specific scenario.

And, you know, sometimes that's a good thing, sometimes it's helpful to know the specific scenario, but this has a broad application across a whole variety of circumstances, both in David's life and ours as well. That's the best I can do for you, Eric. It's indefinite as to what specifically this is referring to.

But certainly, you know, we have people coming to us saying the tide is falling. You know, society is falling apart. You know, we've got all these people who are conspiring to.

take over the nation and rob us of our liberties and we need to just go find ourselves a cabin out in the woods and hunker down and hide out wait for the apocalypse um well you know prepping for the future is certainly appropriate but living in fear in relationship to the future that's a whole different thing that's a lack of faith and so what david is doing is he's bringing um you know, a perspective against this fear-mongering that's being poured into his life. And he's saying, well, yeah, sure. Those people are bending their bows.

They've broken down the rule of law. They are trying to destroy me. But they've got to go through God first.

And he's really rebuking this person. So David speaks in the first part of verse 1, David says, "And the Lord put I my trust, how say you to my soul?" And now the quotation marks start. And here's what his counselor is saying to him.

His counselor is saying, "Flee as a bird to the mountain. The wicked are bending their bow. They make ready their arrow on the string." through verse 3 is not David's voice, but the voice of the person who is counseling him to be full of fear and to run and hide out because of the enemy and because of the collapse, then the psalm makes a lot more sense to us.

Back to you there, Will KM5N. Okay, thank you, KM5N. Yeah, sometimes, you know, when you read the scriptures, there's another voice that shows up.

And if you pay careful attention, you can realize, okay, this isn't the guy that's speaking here. He's quoting somebody else. to all of us because here um you know we can sometimes receive advice from well-meaning people maybe someone we we love and trust that has our best interests at heart and uh but and uh here we see her circumstance uh it's not identified for us some have speculated you know absalom's a rebellion or And so his best advisors are saying, hey, they're trying to ambush you.

They've got assassins out for you likely. They're going to try to set you up and ambush you when you're not paying attention. And so you might want to take to the hills and hide and run.

But I love the fact, as you point out, Max, his whole premise here is, first of all, no, you're not. My refuge is in the Lord. This is the third time we see this word for refuge in the Psalms.

Psalm 212, we see that. Psalm 511, we see that same word in the refuge in the Lord. And then he goes on to point out the heavenly throne of God, the court of God.

is still present he is still on his throne he's nothing's getting past him and we see this same throne of heaven depicted in hebrews 9 24 where jesus is going to the heavenly throne and uh So it's all a matter of our perspective. And it is so easy to be only focused on the temporal, because sometimes we can't see a solution out of a crisis circumstance. And especially if there's hostile forces coming after you, as I was thinking about the foundations of our country.

You know, I think about George Washington here, and he's been shot at how many times? Bullets grazed him, going through his coat, going through his hat, and yet he's still here. But you know what?

One of the—we know George Washington prayed, and he prayed to God. And he knew that his calling was greater than his circumstance. He knew the enemies were after him.

He knew the enemies wanted to take him out. And yet he led in submission to God. And so as David here too, well-meaning friends, and we might get advice, it might be a pastor, it might be a family member, it might be someone with our very best intentions at heart.

But keep in mind, look beyond the temporal circumstance. And as David, look above, because that's where the solution is always. are and God will settle all scores once again.

KB7, Zennickson. Amen, Kevin. Well said.

Thank you for bringing out that word perspective. That's a powerful word. It's a critically important word.

What is your perspective? Is it temporal and earthly? and focused on people, or is it eternal and heavenly and focused on God?

And, you know, we can be in the most dangerous circumstances, and yet God is able to preserve our lives. And Kevin brought out George Washington and how that in battle he had all sorts of bullet holes in his coat and his hat and everywhere else, but God preserved his life because he was supposed to be the general and the first president of the United States. And as long as God had a purpose for him, he was immortal.

Not that he willfully exposed himself to unnecessary danger, but when in the path of duty you're exposed to danger, well, you can just trust God to protect you. The angel of the Lord encamps around about those who fear him to deliver them. And that is our confidence.

And so the question is, are we listening to the counsel of fear, or are we listening to the counsel of faith? And that's the perspective that Kevin was bringing out for us. Kevin, great comments.

This really kind of nails it here. There's going to be many seasons of doubt in your life. And he's hostile towards them because of the wicked violence that they exercise upon the innocent.

And so what's God going to do with these wicked folk? Verse 6, upon the wicked he shall rain rain and shall rain snares and fire and brimstone and a horrible tempest. to be our defender and to be the judge of the wicked and to bring justice and judgment on them, then we can have peace even in the midst of terrible injustice that we are surrounded with.

And that the earthly foundations are failing, but the heavenly foundations are not. The earthly courts are corrupt, but the heavenly courts are pure and true. All right, let's see.

they're still not greater than God. And so the whole idea is that we need to not allow people to enslave us with fear over what man can do to us. You know...

and the deep state is going to come after us. Well, yes, that's true. And that would be a terrifying thing if there were no God in the equation.

But we've got God who's way more powerful than any of these conspiracies or these plans, and He's going to protect and provide for His people. prophesied we see it in this text is a description yeah in in God's Word but that is the influence of Satan in powerful places and I there's a channel called We Are the People Utah. And there's an enormous amount of people that are coming forward that have been victims of satanic ritual abuse.

Now this isn't your everyday average Mormon, if you will, that is just following a false teaching and trying to get saved by their own works. But the leadership and throughout there is embedded in the hierarchy of that religion right now. Satanic ritual abuse taking place of children at a level that's unbelievable.

We've seen it also and probably still present in the hierarchy of the Catholic Church and other churches. not only religious strongholds, but these institutions have great political influence as well. And probably even some aspects of Israeli governance there.

But not to get political or not in the intent of attacking other faiths, but to point out that the battle we do fight is that of Ephesians 6, the power of the air. Satan is alive and well in powerful places, and the battle is very real. But the wicked will fall.

They try to set snares. They mock God. They mock God's people.

They will try to convince you that there's no hope to give up and just run. But we will not run. We will stand for the word of God.

We will stand for the truth of the gospel because in that and that alone is our hope. And the only hope for humanity is through Jesus Christ. TV7 is that example.

Yeah, Kevin, thank you for pointing out that passage there in Ephesians chapter 6. You know, we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against spiritual wickedness in high places, against the rulers of this world. And so, therefore, you know, what do we do?

We turn to God. We trust in God. We put on the whole armor of God.

And in the end, we always prevail. So, you know, the good news is that Christ wins and his people win, and Satan loses and his people lose. And, yeah, you know, there's terrible evil that is done.

Kevin mentioned satanic ritual abuse of children. And so we all know about the sex trafficking of children and women and how terrible that is. And, you know, when people look around and they see these kind of horrible injustices, it's easy to think that God is not controlled, God doesn't see, God's not going to deal with it.

Just understand that the connection between wickedness and justice is delayed, but it's never... failed to be carried out in due time. So thank you, Kevin, for reminding us that though the wickedness is great, God is greater.

You know... I want to comment on verse 3 before we go. It says, If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

And, of course, it's talking about the foundations of society, the principles of law and order. And we recognize that there's a two-tiered justice system oftentimes in society. where the wealthy and the elite and the connected get away with literally murder, while the common person gets hammered with a parking ticket if he has his tire over some line or something.

And so it oftentimes seems like the foundations of our society are all out of kilter. But the foundations of the kingdom of God will never be destroyed. And that's the good news is that we're founded on a rock.

You know, the parable is used there in Matthew chapter 7, you know, where it talks about the house that was built on the rock and the rains descended and the floods came and it's good. And of course the house is built on the sand, it collapses and falls. And so the foundations of society are sand, but the foundations of the Kingdom of God are rock.

And so as we build our lives on Jesus Christ, who is the rock of our salvation, we have stability, we have security, we have permanence. and nothing and no one can harm us no matter how powerfully those assaults are launched against us. And so, yes, we see the foundations of the sand of society collapsing all around us, but that's not the ground we're standing on.

We're standing on the ground of Jesus Christ, his kingdom, his kingdom, and His Word and His promises, and that's a secure, solid foundation. And those foundations will never be destroyed. And that's where our comfort lies.
