good morning everybody This is the West Coast Bible Study Jeff here, AK6OK And today we're going to be reading Job 41 Job 41 We're going to save Job 42 for tomorrow For Max, when he gets back, Max is going to be traveling back here today and get here this evening, I think. And he'll be back here first thing tomorrow morning. Thank goodness.

But, hey, Kathy's jumping in here and helping us out. So it's all good. Any other check-ins?

Go ahead. Hello, Mike 5 Foxtrot. And good morning, Camp 5F.

How are you this morning? I'm doing fine. Just need some coffee to wake up a little bit.

No new prior requests, Camp 5F. Okay, well, I cheated. I got here a little early and I got my coffee going right here.

So do you want to do the opening pro this morning? Sure. KM5S.

Okay. You got a good signal this morning into Utah. Anyway, sounds good and good for you.

Glad you're here this morning. Thanks again, Eric, for keeping track of that water so I can pay attention to what's going on here. 557, everybody.

Good morning. AK-6OK. Any other check-ins for the West Coast Bible Study?

AK60K, WB7VZL, good morning, Jeff and Hope. Roger, Roger, Roger. Good morning to you too.

How are you this morning, and any perk or concerns? Well, as usual, I'm better than I deserve. We're on with Chapter 3.

And that also, I have a report from Kenya. They met Philip, a Pentecostal pastor who we had met on our last trip. And their congregation, a Maasai congregation, didn't have any Bibles, didn't have any Maasai Bibles.

So we said, yeah, we'll buy 25. And Jeff, this is up your line. They want more.

Can you believe it, Eric? Well, yeah, that's cool to know. Maybe we can help somehow.

Do they read English or not? Hey, that's pretty good. Well, Candy, my sister-in-law, who is the one that reported this request, is going to arrange for that to happen.

But thank you for your willingness. But, yeah, we ought to keep that in mind and work together. But you've already got a program huge.

So, anyway, that's... one of the most encouraging. I knew Philip, the pastor, and he was just so blessed and currently wants some additional blessings so that they can have their own Bibles.

What a privilege, as you know. Back to you, Jeff. Oh, it's a huge privilege to be able to provide Bibles.

We're only in there two and a half million Bibles, Roger, so we've got more to go. I don't know when God's going to stop, but let's keep her going. So good to hear you on here this morning, and...

K7GWR, I see you on the Utah SDR and WS7SAB. There you go. You're up there too, good morning.

Good morning and it's six o'clock. We'll get started here shortly. And it's gonna be a good day, you guys.

Max is gonna be back tomorrow. We're gonna be covering Job 41 today. Who wants to read Job 41?

I can certainly do it if there's no volunteers this morning, but does anybody want to raise their hand? Over. Well, I've read it in the NIV, and I'd be willing to read it in the NASB.

Over. Thank you. There you go.

Roger, good for you. Yeah, we'll call on you in a couple minutes here. And let's see, what else is going on here?

And we've got Wilson to do the opening prayer work. Man, we're getting on it. Any other check-ins?

Go ahead. And is everybody hearing me okay this morning? I guess nobody's hearing me.

I think Brian gave you a Roger, Roger. Brian, Brian, go ahead and see if I can hear you. uh that's pwm brian all right nothing heard let's try one more time any other check-ins we're gonna get started here All right, Will, would you like to open us up in prayer this morning?

Sure, Cam, 5 a.m. Gracious Heavenly Father, we thank you for this day, for being able to be together in this West Coast Bible study and prayer time, Lord. We just pray for...

Can you draw out Leviathan with a fish hook or press down his tongue with a cord? Can you put a rope in his nose? He makes the depths boil like a pot.

He makes the sea like a jar of ointment. Behind him he makes me wake to shine. One would think the deep be dark or gray hair.

Nothing on earth is like him. Wood made without fear, he looks on everything that is high. He is king over all the sons of pride.

Well, that's a bit of mythological extrapolation, perhaps some of the residue from some of the dinosaurs, as I think Max mentioned. WB7VZL, back to you, Max. Or back to you, Jeff, over.

Wow, I've never been elevated to max yet, but I'll take it. That's all right. Wow, you guys.

Okay, so the Lord laid this one out. What's going on here? I think he's trying to impress Job with who he is here.

Any comments on this one? KB7, is that a consent? Chairman, I'm glad you jumped in.

Go ahead. Yeah, well, first before I begin, Sandy, if you're listening, you and Beck are in our prayers and our loft, both of you. And Roger, I don't know if you heard, Beck was working under a car yesterday.

It slipped off the jack or rolled off the jack, caused a severe head injury. in his face at no bridge of his nose and skull there so he's in the hospital recovering innovative they did surgery and so far so good but just an update there in case you're not aware you know the text here is quite something, isn't it? And as you recall, the last chapter, God talked about the behemoth, this massive land animal, this fierce, this great beast that roams upon the land.

And we don't know if it's referring to a wild elephant or a rhinoceros or what it is, but it's something that certainly could not be tamed from the land itself. but here he's talking about even a greater beast, the leviathan. And it certainly has a lot of the characteristics of a crocodile or an alligator, but we see it goes far beyond that.

And one of the things I think more than mythological, I think this is typological. I think what we see here is representation not only of a real beast, which may be kind of in the thought along the lines of a... massive allegation but really the representation of Satan himself of Lucifer himself you know in the garden when he approached Eve the Hebrew calls him the hush the serpent and oftentimes throughout the Bible we see him referred to as the dragon Isaiah 27:1 makes this reference as the dragon which would he overcome we see in Psalm 74 that he's going to crush the head of the dragon we see also the dragon appear on in Revelation 1:13, 1-9 where it comes out of the sea full of blasphemy and representing all that is blasphemous.

And so, but the case, the point of what God is saying is here's this massive dragon, this massive beast from, I thought it was from the waters, from the sea, and, and, and that no man can tame, no man can harness. You're not going to make it a pet. You're not going to control it.

And even if you try, you're never going to forget it. It's more powerful than anything we've got as man. And yet here he's saying, I am the creator of the leviathan.

And if you can't even handle a leviathan, Who do you think you're standing before? And God, and Job has, you know, really called for the audience before God to make his case, to present his case. But the mere presence of this God, great God that is great as Leviathan is as far as power and and intensity how much greater is God the creator of this creature and and so it is certainly again to make the point to Job of the God of all creation including this great powerful creature which will be crushed in the end and the representation of the antichrist the representation of Evil, the one that led to sin, the one full of pride, will be crushed in the end, and you are standing before the Creator and the authority over all.

The very presence of God is really overwhelming, I think, to Job. But God is making this point, driving it home in a very dramatic way. KB7, is that acceptable?

Yes. Thank you, Kevin. I totally agree.

And, you know, I go back to Job 40. And I find this actually kind of funny. When Job answered the Lord in verse 3, then Job answered the Lord and said, this is after the Lord kind of laid it out for him and said, Hey, Job, were you here when I hung the stars in the sky and everything?

Job answers, Behold, I'm insignificant. What can I reply to you? I lay my hand on my mouth once I have spoken, and I will not answer even twice.

and I will add nothing more. But God said, wait a second, Job, I'm not done yet. And in 41, we're looking at...

Here's another thing, Job. I want to tell you why we're on the subject here. Yes, pretty incredible.

And I love the message version of 41. 41.1, or can you pull in the sea beast leviathan with a fly rod and stuff him in your creel? Wow.

Can you lasso him with a rope or snag him with an anchor? Sure. He will beg you over and over for mercy or flatten you with a flowery speech.

Wow. This is the Lord saying, I'm not done yet, Job. Let's keep going.

Any other comments? You guys got to be able to talk something about this one over. well there's going to be some reason yeah go ahead roger yeah i'm sorry i missed kevin's presentation i had a carrier Just down around 73, I believe, it held my receiver up for Mike and Kevin's transmission.

There was interfering. It sounded like the old days of the woodpecker when we worked through that. But anyway, it held my S meter up, and I wasn't able to copy Kevin, really.

And there was some information about Beck in the hospital, and I missed that as well. But, yeah, my impression is that overall, Joe was so desperate to hear a two-way from God that there was an element. Now, I'm saying that, yes, he was blown over.

by the power of God, and yes, he was presumptuous. But I'll tell you, I believe Job also was happy to hear from God directly instead of through his three, quote, friends. All right.

Oh, I think so, yes. His three friends were all there to just hang him up on the wall, and obviously in the wrong way. And, yes, if you can imagine, I think you're right.

Joe probably was happy to hear from God and hear, yeah, you're still here. Wow, I can't imagine the majesty of God when he's speaking to you directly like this. He speaks to us in a little bit different way, but yes, it is stunning to think about.

And what Roger was talking about is this massive leviathan. Okay, let me try that again. Leviathan.

And that you could not possibly conquer this thing, Job. And I'm the creator of this thing. The Lord's just laying it out there for them and saying, hey, do you know who I am?

Do you realize who you're dealing with here? And good morning, Dan and 6T and I see you over there on the half of Bay SDR. You're looking good this morning and good to hear you on here this morning.

So good perspectives, you guys. And we need to think the same way here. I would not want to be on the receiving end of the Lord talking to me like this.

It's not a good sign, but you're right. I think Joe was probably relieved by hearing this. A reliever is somebody much more important than he is.

Go ahead, Roger. yeah right i i think that there was an element as i mentioned yesterday the voice with the capital v for sure and and yet like i mentioned yesterday the same word for the storm or whirlwind that that god is represented as is when we get the spiritual, come down sweet chariot, carry me home. So there was an element of when they used that word, they had this in the backgrounds of their mind.

So I know Hebrew interpretation is all about the context for sure, but... We know that God speaks through the still, small voice, even though Elijah was frightened to death about the storm that God demonstrates. But, yeah, there's that God's presence is the still, small voice as well, over.

Boy, that's for sure. This will wake you up reading this for sure. Interesting.

How interesting. Any other comments this morning? I might jump us over to 42.

Let's see how we do here. But go ahead. Any more comments on 41?

Tell Roger about Beck being injured under a car. Yeah, for those of you who are not aware of it, Beck yesterday did, he was working under a car apparently in the, It came off the jack or the jack stands and landed on him any and he has been in surgery He apparently is I don't think he's in critical condition. It sounds like he's they're taking care of it.

He had surgery yesterday recovering today, and I as I understood there's another plastic surgery coming up, but That oh not not that Kevin. Do you want to Kevin knew more about this go ahead and Well, I don't know that I know anymore, Jeff. I think you did a good job.

Yeah, the car apparently rolled off on the jack or something there, Roger, and it did some serious damage to his car. skull, something like his forehead and nose bridge area. He went through some surgery yesterday, which seemed to be successful.

I would suspect he's probably in critical but stable condition, I think last we heard. He's intubated and trying to keep his inflammation down, of course. That's about all we know now, so prayers for him and Sandy certainly I know are appreciated there.

Yes, that's for sure. For Sandy as well. You know, when I went through all the stuff I did, my wife was the hero going through that stuff.

And so we definitely want to keep Sandy in our prayers as well. And yeah, what a critical situation, but the Lord is good. I can tell you from personal experience, I get to go through this stuff and Beck will have a story.

It'll be a story he can tell from here on out. And I hope he does well. You want another little perspective here in this?

this chapter I'm reading from Haley's Bible Handbook here this is kind of interesting through the suffering Job goes from a limited understanding of God to a life changing experience of the greatness majesty and power of God but also an experience of God's love since God gives Job a personal answer to a very real and difficult question. But it's an answer that only comes after Job runs out of words so he can listen. So God got him to a place where he had nothing else to say.

He was speechless, and he had to listen. Isn't that all, God, you guys? Anybody else, go ahead.

Does that make sense? You betcha. Go ahead, Kevin.

Yeah, and I certainly don't want to dominate the conversation and welcome all other thoughts. You know, one of the things here, too, is you're right, Jeff. He does recognize his position.

One of the things that comes through this is, you know, Job is going at it from a perspective of, you know, as if God is, you know, even though he didn't buy into the argument of his three friends and Elihu, he still is kind of wondering, you know, I don't see how this has really justified God, all this suffering I'm going through. But what he sees, the greatness... and the holiness and the true power and justice of God, he soon recognizes and will see this fulfilled, that any blessing, that anything we have from God and that is good is by God's grace.

It's not because we're justified in any way it should have it. It's not that we earn it. It's not that because we're good...

God is good to us. It is by merely God's grace alone. And just one quick short story on the Leviathan here.

You know, when I was in Florida, I managed a 60-acre fish farm just outside of West Palm back in the mid-'80s. And we had a project up in Orlando, but our president of our company lived in Okeechobee, which is really on the edge of a swamp, pushed back. And of course, all the houses there were kind of built up off the ground, and they had a Each place had a big pond because basically they had to dig out a big area for all the water and swamp to drain into and then have a mound to build a house upon.

Well, he had a—Sandy, our president, had a couple of alligators move into his pond. And he was concerned about that because his dog, his hound dog, just had pups. And you know, they'd go down there to the water.

you know, those pups are going to get gobbled up by one of the alligators. So he started trying to get rid of them. Well, the smaller one, he chased it.

Basically, it ran off back into the swamp. But there was another one that was big that was over 15 feet long, and it didn't want to budge. And so he tried putting the chicken on a grappling hook.

Well, it stole the chicken off the hook, So he said, well, I'll try it again. So he tried it again the next time, and he had it on a steel cable. Well, next time it just bit through the steel cable.

And so he decided, well, maybe the next idea is I'll get out, get one of us in a little john boat out in the pond and see if we can draw it up. and he could walk around the edge of the pond with a high-powered rifle. Well, the guy that worked for me was Chicago.

He was pretty much a city slicker, a really nice guy, a Jewish fellow. And he decided he wanted to be in the John Boat. And I said, Ben, are you sure about that?

He said, oh, yeah, I want to, you know, he was excited. He said, yeah. So he started rowing around out there in the john boat and that alligator surfaced and it was a lot longer than that john boat.

And he couldn't get to shore fast enough and we never did get a good shot at the at the alligator. But eventually he got tired of being messed with, I guess, and ran off into the swamp. But remind me of the Leviathan, even that alligator wasn't going to be, you weren't going to have your way with it.

It was going to decide when it was good and ready to leave. How much more powerful is this Leviathan that we're reading about here? And then how much more powerful is the God that created it?

KB7, Zennickson. Great story. Who would be crazy enough to go out and little John Moe with an alligator that's that big?

Oh, man. We all have our gifts, don't we? Anyway, well you got it.

That's a great story to kind of compare with what we're reading here. Obviously this Leviathan is more than anybody could handle, except God. He created the thing.

So, wow. Alright, what other comments have we got here? You know what I think I'm going to do?

I'm going to read 42, not for a big long discussion, but as a preface to tomorrow. That might be kind of fun. Any other comments?

Go ahead. So you guys all good with me rating 42? Roger.

I'm just gonna do it. Let's open our bibles to 42. Job responds to the Lord.

I'm going to read out of the NLT this morning. Then Job replied to the Lord, I know that you can do anything and no one can stop you. You asked, who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorance?

It is I. And I was talking about things I knew nothing about. Things far too wonderful for me.

You said listen and I will speak. I have some questions for you and you must answer them. I had only heard about you before, but now I've seen you with my own eyes.

I take back everything I said. I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance. And the conclusion of this entire book, the Lord blesses Job.

Out of chapter, or verse 7. After the Lord had finished speaking to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, I am angry with you and your two friends, for you have not spoken accurately about me as my servant Job has. So take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and offer a burnt offering for yourselves.

My servant Job will pray for you, and I will accept his prayer on your behalf. You're a lucky guy. I will not treat you as you deserve, for you have not spoken accurately about me as my servant Job has.

So Eliphaz, the Temanite... Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Namathite, did as the Lord commanded them. And the Lord accepted Job's prayer.

When Job prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes. In fact, the Lord gave him twice as much as before. Then all of his brothers sisters and former friends came and feasted with him in his home And they consoled him and comforted him Because of all the trials the Lord had brought against them and each of them brought a gift of money and a gold ring So the Lord blessed Job In the second half of his life even more than in the beginning For now he had 14,000 sheep 6,000 camels 1,000 teams of oxen and a thousand female doggies.

He also gave job seven more sons and three daughters and He named his first daughter Jemiah, and second, Kezah, and the third, Haran-Hopek. In all the land, no women were as lovely as the daughters of Job, and their father put them into his will along with their brothers. Job lived 140 years after that, living to see four generations of his children and grandchildren.

And then he died an old man who had lived a long, full life. How about that? Go ahead.

AK-6, OK. What comments do we got now? WB7VZL.

I know you can take us home here. Go ahead. Oh, no, I just...

And Job prayed for his friends. And that was... That's the threshold in the story for these abundant blessings that...

The privilege of being priests, to intercede on each other, of praying for each other, is a tremendous blessing. As Peter says in 1 Peter chapter 2, go ahead Jeff. Well, there you go.

And, yes, I was surprised that the Lord did it this way, but I wasn't. Yeah, Joe, pray for your friends here. They're a mess.

And normally I wouldn't. Look at the way I read this. And I read it kind of very quickly here, but it sounds like the Lord wasn't ready to accept.

Yeah. the concerns of these three guys, but he said, "Joe, if you pray for them, I'll accept it." What do you think, Kevin? Well, I think Kevin must have gone to get a cup of coffee.

WB7VZO? Yeah, go ahead, Kevin. Okay, I'll take it.

My impression is that you're not too far from it. You know, God can be moved. God can be moved by the prayer of his saints, over.

Absolutely, and God cares. God cares a lot. And don't you love to see this?

This is really, really cool to read. All right, good. Well, you guys, we are at 633.

Any other comments we've got this morning before we wrap things up and wait for... for Max to come back, and we need to pray for Max and his trip today. I know what it's like to travel across the country.

Not always very comfortable, but we'll just pray that he has a great trip. Any other comments before we close her up today? WB7VZL.

Go right on ahead. Yeah, well, in Pomeroy, in this little town called Pomeroy, where I was a pastor, there was a very active chapter of Job's daughters as a way of mentoring the young ladies in the county and in the community. So that organization, Job's Daughters, certainly has a legacy here, over.

Yes, and back when I was younger, I remember Job's Daughters. Lots of chapters around the country. Didn't really know what it was, Kevin.

I heard a lot about them. And I think even my family was involved in that organization. Were they involved also with the Masons?

Yeah, I think there was. I think there is some sort of tie-in, but you can see where they got the name. And certainly every woman needs to know she's beautiful, over.

That's absolutely true. And you know, they all are beautiful, including every one of our wives. Just bless, bless guys.

That's for doggone sure. And good to have everybody on here this morning. I'm going to have, first of all, any prayer concerns besides Beck?

We all are aware of Beck, and let's put him at the top of the list this morning, and Sandy, as we remember him in our prayers. And any other PR concerns, guys, go ahead. And Kathy, are you still around listening here?

Yes, I am. Kathy, do you have any closing thoughts? Go ahead.

Well, yeah, I think this is just amazing how God is so patient with these people. And I think God was showing all of us that He is such an amazing creator to be able to create these things that we can't begin to manage. And while we have difficulties in our life, WE NEED TO JUST KNOW THAT GOD IS IN CONTROL, AND WE NEED TO BE LIKE JOB AND NOT GIVING UP ON GOD, JUST BEING PATIENT, LIVING THROUGH IT, AND KEEP OUR EYES ON GOD, KEEP SERVING GOD IN ALL THE DIFFICULT CIRCUMSTANCES, BECAUSE GOD IS IN CONTROL.

WE DON'T NEED TO QUESTION HIM. WE JUST NEED TO KEEP MOVING FORWARD, DOING WHAT HE HAS ASKED US TO DO. And then in everything, I think it should make us exceedingly humble that God in His greatness would actually choose me and save me when I see so many people around us not turning to God, even my poor sister.

AND JUST KNOW THAT GOD HAS SAVED ME. I AM SO THANKFUL. AND THEN IT DRAWS ME TO JUST WORSHIP HIM ALL DAY LONG, EVERY DAY, AND TO NOT FEAR ANYTHING.

because God's even controlled those wild beasts. So in the midst of all that, I think we need to just humble ourselves before God, praise Him, worship Him, and serve Him constantly. And regarding Beck, you know, it's such a miracle.

Well, Sandy was saying that it was because the travel trailer was behind and the jack hit the travel trailer that Beck was even alive. And so the trouble turner stopped at Jack. So that was a wonderful miracle too, as we pray for Beck.

I know Al knows a lot more about that than I do. And I would also ask that you pray for Max. He has three sessions of teaching today.

He'll be done, I think, around 5, and then he loses like three hours while he's flying, so I pick him up at 8.30 at the Portland Airport. So anyway, that's all I have for right now. Thank you, Jeff, for all you've done, and yes, we do look forward to Max coming back, me especially.

So thank you, everyone, for your prayers for Max, for your prayers for Max. back to you. KP7, take it away.

Wow, Kathy. It's not a competition, but how could I ever even come close to saying it as well as you just did? Thank you so, so much.

You could run this Netsch on your own anytime. You guys, if you just heard Kathy, what a perspective. And just love hearing that, the way she spoke it.

Yes, let's continue to pray for Max. Three sessions today. And he leaves at 5:00 Eastern.

And I know the flying back from the East Coast Even though you lose three hours, you gain an hour of flight time because of headwinds. And so it's actually an hour longer, I believe, coming west from east. So it can be kind of a grueling flight.

But thank you, Kathy, for picking him up at the airport and for your patience while he was gone. I know that when I travel, it's stressful on my wife, and I'm grateful that you would take that on for the Lord. That's really awesome.

Wow. Okay. What a great way to stop, guys.

Any other prayer concerns? AK6, okay. Al, can you close this in the closing prayer today, over?

I sure can, I'd be honored. Good morning everyone, thank you Jeff. This is KJ's F.A.Q.

to wait till it all comes together in prayer. Good morning. - Good morning.

Heavenly Father, thank you for today. Thank you for this lesson and and open our eyes and hearts and minds that we understand just exactly what captain should be like at the time. a big ditto to our past and move on to our thoughts of those of us that are in need.

First of all, though, we do want to look at the rally around the front of that, out south of 518 in the hospital right now with the head. As you heard, as you all know, And we get praise for recent surgery they had yesterday that didn't end well. Five and a half hours.

He got done at 6:30 last night. We're just glad that it did go well. He's been recovering now and expected to be intubated through probably 11 months a day.

We lift up also his wife's hand at WS7FAB who will be supporting him through his recovery. And also I ask for his blessing as I attempt to visit him again today. Hopefully he will be able to speak with the two vows.

by this afternoon and Patrick was being on our meeting and this is I'll have more details on that later I also want to ask for the doctors and those that are supporting me would then have his recovery. May his recovery be successful and he'll be restored. This is another narrative history.

I need as well, we want to remember and give praise for the youth that Roger WB7DTLG has related to us. that Sandy and Mae, the pollution people have going on there, they said word that the pastor's village there needs more bibles. That's a good thing.

They're a, they're a Charter Riches farm, and they definitely need that, that, that, that money from you. So we ask that you would provide that and just give them that money. Also, for George, KT6K whose wife recently went through viral surgery and we ask your blessing over her recovery that that goes well.

We would like to continue lifting up our church, Furnish Mansion Church whose still without a pastor. We've been working amongst ourselves in accomplishing that, and we thank you for your blessing there, and we just would like to have you direct and guide things a minister who would help in that effort. We pray for the weakness and spiritual protection of all pastors of all of our churches.

That they would be protected from any evil if their husband attacks them. So thank you Lord for your protection there. We pray for the silent multitude who listen to the West Coast Bible Study.

and they knew God would meet their needs as well. For Brian, AJ's ever-changing left, we've joined him as the snap prince for his salvation and for him to be open to Brian's ministry. For Jeff, AK-6O-8, Jeff's ongoing Bible distribution for soldiers and other troops, the installation of chapels and Navy ships.

Okay, great to meet you. I'm Noah, your old friend. Rick has to be saved.

You have faith in your Jesus Christ. From Mark, W7UAR. For Tyler, struggling to struggle to keep.

that you would show him the way away from that drug addiction and for the life of the present, but also for Mark's small friend and her health issues. We pray that she'd be free from that. We pray for the unsaved, the unchurched in our community to hear and believe.

the gospel. And also, we want to remember our pastor, Matt, that he sent an air on his last day of teaching seminary classes in New Jersey. And we also want to pray for the state travel home.

And for Kathy, who's traveling to and from PDX. We're going to enter pair 4-2. How's your man today?

We have him. Your handlers and protection field with them. Air traffic.

That's what we have on our list today. We also want to list up all those subways throughout the world today for today. We just want to thank you for the goodness and your mercy and your grace for each one of us and for the gift that you've started to seek with us, right?

Through whom we pray all these things. Amen. And if it's too late, we'll turn it back to you there after Jeff.

And if it's too late, thank you. Well, thank you, Al. So good to have all of you on here and I want to thank everybody over the past four days that have helped me walk through this with you all.

It's been just a joy and I'm not worthy of half of this, that's for doggone sure, but it was certainly fun. We can pick that up and do it again if we ever need to. This is Jeff, AK6OK Net Control for the West Coast Bible Study.

I'm going to sound just like Max here. I want to thank all stations who checked in this morning, as well as those who stood by to give us a clear operating frequency. We meet here seven days a week at 6 a.m.

in order to read the Bible, understand its meaning and message, and then pray that God will help us out to live out what we learn and meet the needs of our circle of fellowship. I'll be returning this frequency to general amateur use. This is Jeff, AK6OK.

That will be clearance standing by. Thank you, Jeff. You've done a great job.

This is KB7KTY back to you. Kathy, thank you for being with us all this time and for wrapping it up in just the most wonderful way this morning. Over.

Well, we certainly are privileged to have all your help so that Max can do what he does. It sounds like you've been kind of a miracle worker for him and teaching him how to do this stuff. You say you've been doing this for 60 years.

He's been doing it for maybe three, I'm not sure. But anyway, I'm glad I at least got my general so I could get in here and say hi to everybody. I'm not a ham operator, never will be, but at least I can talk.

So that was fun. Thanks again, Bethany. Oh, Kathy, you know what?

I'm not sure about the badge I even want to be unaware of. I could be a ham operator. I'm not a ham operator.

I'm just a guy that loves to sit and chit-chat. Yeah, I have been doing that since I was 13 years old. And I've enjoyed it.

My dad actually introduced me to ham radio when I was 5. And I really, really got hooked talking every day to my uncle down in the Southern California area. We used to talk to Uncle Dick every day.

And I said, I've got to get one of these licenses. So I got my general at 13 and haven't stopped yet. So, Kathy, you're doing fantastic.

Over. Yeah, I had no intention of getting involved with ham radio, but Max kind of kept pushing me just a little bit. He didn't really push me into it.

I just decided I'd better go along a little bit so I can find out what my husband's up to. It was wintertime and I didn't have to be outside working in the gardens. So he had this program on the computer where I could get my general.

I thought, "Well, I might as well. I don't want to be too far behind." But there's so much to ham radio that I'm just amazed at all he's doing. But I think it's really good for his brain to have to learn all this new stuff.

So you're helping him and that's really great. I can't believe all that's involved in ham radio. I never dreamed all that was involved in ham radio.

And the expense of it is like overwhelming. But anyway, I'm really proud of him for giving in and doing all that when he was a pastor. Of course, he didn't have time to begin to do all that because preparing messages takes many, many hours, as every pastor like Roger out there knows.

And so he is just amazing me and all that he is doing, I think it's really good for him to be able to do this as he's getting older. And I feel kind of like a laggard because I'm not learning anything. I just go out and play with my plants.

But anyway, we're all glorifying God and Max is trying to serve Jesus till the day he dies and I'm really proud of him and I'm going to do everything I can to help him. So here I am, chatting. Back to you, Jeff.

Well, I think it's fantastic, and I do know what it's like to prepare for sermons. I speak occasionally to the new recruits at Camp Pendleton down in Southern California, and I get the joy of speaking to about 600 to 800 of them occasionally on Saturday and Sunday. And I know it takes me up to a week to prepare for my sermon that I do, and it's amazing.

I get to be called the chaplain, which I'm not, but we're all chaplains, aren't we? So anyway, what you're doing is amazing. There's not many gals that pick this up, and you ought to be proud of yourself.

It's a very, very fun hobby. As long as you don't take it too seriously. Thank you, Kathy.

And Max has done incredibly well for only being a ham for three years. look what he's doing for the Lord and there's a lot of people that listen here that we do not know about you know as 23 people checked in today but I can say there's a big handful more that are listening off to the side Kathy over the one I'm really proud of and amazed about is Carol all by herself up there. And I'm just really proud of her.

And I think it's amazing that she gets in and listens to this. And so anyway, shout out to Carol. Yeah, we're really proud of her for getting in here and being a part of this event.

I will study. Back to you. Absolutely.

I very much admire Carol, too. Well, you have a good Saturday, and you're probably looking forward to seeing your hubby this evening. Over.

Yeah. Yeah. Thank you for your prayers for him.

When I get him at 830 tonight, we have a two-hour drive home. And he'll get up and do the ham radio in the morning, and then he has to teach a Sunday school lesson and preach Sunday morning. So he just amazes me.

He's amazed me all my life because when he preached, when he used to have the church, He would prepare three lessons every week and just over the top amazed me. And so if anyone gets a chance to listen to his sermons on sermons on Job, there's nine sermons on the book of Job. and they are just fantastic.

So I listened to four of them yesterday. I want to listen to the other five today as I'm busy in myself. But if you get on there, you'll realize it doesn't quite sound like him because it was many years ago and he had a younger voice.

So it's kind of fun to listen to his younger voice. But anyway, they're really good sermons. So if anyone has time to get on sermonaudio.com and listen to his sermons through Job, I think you'll really get a lot out of them now since you've just read through the book of Job with everyone.

So this is KB7K2Y, back to you Jeff. Alright Kathy, good, good. And by the way, Patty, my sweetheart, loves texting with you.

We're talking about coming up and possibly visiting you guys at some point. Look forward to that. Well, good, Kathy.

Have a good day. It's going to be a wonderful Saturday. And tomorrow, you're going to be busy.

You and Max have got a full schedule, haven't you? Yeah, it seems like after we retired, our schedule is just as full as ever. So anyway, I love talking to Patty, and that would just be so wonderful if you guys could come to see us.

That would just be great. Okay, this is KB7KTY. Back to you, Jeff, and I'll be clear.

All right, Kathy, take care. Everybody else have a great Saturday. And any other comments before I take on out of here?

QQH? Uh, QQH? Was that you?

Roger, roder. I'm Roger. I'll be hoping that she'll be an inspiration for Jerry.

Over. Yeah, no doubt. I, um, I totally agree.

And thank you for the closing prayer this morning. Thank you. Okay, sounds great.

Boy, I'm having a horrible time hearing it. The band's really changed here a little bit. All right, very, very good morning to you.

And that is how grateful we are to the mercies and the grace of God that He would even consider us and reach out to us with His love and His grace. And thanks for sharing. I think you should hand that mic to you a little more often.

But thanks so much for all you do to support him. and the group here too all right and roger we love you too brother uh pray for uh daylene hope she's doing well and what a wonderful report too it's kind of like candy made it and they're hungry for the word there so uh praise god for that uh i'll say 73 good morning to all there KB7, Zodiac Center. Well, thank you so much.

It's great to hear you. I'll tell you, I heard that interference coming from about 73, 3973. And it was kind of like a teletype interference.

It was a very strong carrier with an audio. indicator of various pitches. I was just...

Did you hear anything on your end of things, Kevin? Over. Anyway, I had quite a bit of interference this morning for the net.

But I sure hear you all right. I am so blessed to be able to have that interference gone. So when Max says thank you for preserving a clear frequency, that is a vital part for off-air.

Anyway... Thank you, Kevin. WB7V0.

We'll be clear. Thank you. Thank you.

========== ### Scripture Reading (KJV)

Job 41:1-10 (KJV) 1. Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down? 2. Canst thou put an hook in his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn? 3. Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee? 4. Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant for ever? 5. Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens? 6. Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants? 7. Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head with fish spears? 8. Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more. 9. Behold, the hope of him is vain: shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him? 10. None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?

### Study Summary

Today's Bible study focused on Job 41, where God impresses Job with His power and majesty through the description of Leviathan. The passage vividly portrays the untamable and powerful nature of Leviathan, which serves as a metaphor for God's strength and sovereignty. Kevin shared a story about an alligator in Florida to illustrate the power and untamable nature of Leviathan, emphasizing that even the most formidable creatures are under God's control.

The discussion highlighted several themes, including God's power and creation, the representation of Leviathan as a symbol of Satan or evil, and Job's realization of his insignificance before God. The passage underscores the idea that humans cannot control or tame such powerful entities, reflecting Job's growing awareness of his own limitations and the vastness of God's power.

The study then transitioned to Job 42, where Job's repentance and God's restoration are discussed. Job's repentance is seen as a turning point, where he acknowledges his sin and submits to God's will. The passage also highlights God's grace and forgiveness, emphasizing the importance of prayer and intercession. Job's restoration and the blessings he receives are a testament to God's faithfulness and the power of repentance.

Throughout the discussion, participants shared personal reflections and prayers, including concerns for Beck's injury and recovery, Max's travel and teaching, and various community needs. The closing prayer led by Al covered these concerns and the importance of supporting one another and praying for community needs.

The study concluded with a reminder of the major themes: God's power and creation, Job's realization of his insignificance before God, God's grace and forgiveness, and the importance of community and support. Participants were encouraged to reflect on these themes and apply them to their lives, recognizing the need for humility and worship in the face of God's greatness. ==========
