This is where it gets good, you guys, right here. All right, Job chapter 38. Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind and said, Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?

Now grid up your lines like a... Well, how about that for an answer? You know, as my wife would say, that's a bit of a snarky answer from the Lord.

Like in your face, Job. Any comments this morning? 777-X, I'm back with you.

Okay, Max, youre back. I think, who was that? That was Kevin.

Kevin's got a comment. Go ahead, Kevin. Well, Max, go ahead first if you had something you wanted to share.

Yeah, negative. I got a very unfortunate phone call right then. It was unfortunate in terms of timing, not in terms of contact.

So, anyway, no worries. I'm back with a story about that. Jeff, thank you for taking over.

Kevin, keep yourself in the bed, and please go ahead with your comments. Well, very good. Well, I just want to kind of set the stage here a little bit.

And what a magnificent chapter this is. You know, God, since Chapter 3 has been... lamenting and praying and calling upon God and seeking a response, praying.

But God does respond in such a dramatic fashion. He does. And He responds directly here.

And some very interesting comments. He doesn't begin with answering Job's question about suffering. He doesn't tell him about the counsel of the court of God.

He doesn't explain to him why the just shall suffer. But what he does is he... shows up with his presence.

And this is really, I think, what Job is about. It's not so much about suffering, but it's about the presence of God. And God enters into the presence here.

And it's interesting in verse 1 when he says, begins with the Lord speaks is that the Lord here is the direct name of God as we see in Exodus 3:14 and the burning bush I am the Jehovah the Yahweh, if you will, however you want to pronounce that. This is the God. This is the Jehovah Saves right here.

And this is the I Am. And he directly enters into speaking to Job. And he's not so much, I don't think, being snarky or being critical of Job, but he's First of all, setting the stage of positionally, Job, recognize who you are in the plan of God and who I am.

And this is an important principle for us to recognize, that God is large enough to trust. And this is the point I believe God is making to Job directly. You know, where is your role in the vast plan of God in all of creation, Job?

And he goes through really asking Job a series of questions. But the questions are designed for... job to recognize to have the reverence of God and so many times for us if we start becoming critical or become disheartened somehow it's I would say sometimes because we don't have a large enough view of God and here God says let me let me just share give you a glimpse JOB OF WHO I AM AND THAT AND OF COURSE THAT I AM LARGE ENOUGH TO BE TRUSTED AND BUT THE OTHER POINT TOO I THINK IS BEAUTIFUL IS GOD ANSWERS HIS PRAYER HE RESPONDS TO JOB HERE SO IN THE BEGINNING HERE of the conversation that Job, or that God speaks to Job.

What a fantastic, and of course, interesting point too, he speaks to him in a whirlwind, in a dramatic fashion, not quietly, like he spoke to Elijah in Philippians. 1 Kings 19, he speaks to him in a dramatic way, kind of the way Elihu described with the thunder and the lightning. And I think he described it in Hebrews 12, 18 through 21.

Anyway, I'll get started with that. KB7 is at extension. Yeah, Kelly, great comment.

Thank you for that. I think you really captured well what the passage is about. You know, I think what God is doing here is that, you know, he is putting Job in his place and he's putting himself first.

in the proper place in Job's mind. And so I appreciate you pointing out that he comes here with the name Jehovah, then the Lord, then Jehovah, and Job out of the whirlwind and sin. Now, you remember Job all along has been crying out, you know, where is God?

I need an audience with God. You know, I want God to show up and explain himself. I want to be able to defend myself.

Where is God? Well, when God shows up, suddenly it's different. And, you know, a lot of people think they're going to show up on the Day of Judgment.

when I did all of these things. And he has a huge list here of all the creative acts that he engaged in. And he's wanting Job to explain to him how that all worked, how it all came to pass, and how it was all accomplished.

And of course, no one can do that scientists in this day as much as they know can't even explain what gravity is nor can they explain how everything works inside the human cell so yes Kevin well said well summarized and appreciate your perspective that God is putting Job in his place and God is putting himself in his place and showing the vast distance between them just in terms of the issue of creation and the wisdom and the power that's necessary to bring it to pass. He's not even dealing with issues of province yet. All right, great comment, Kevin.

- Red XM, go ahead. Yeah, and I encourage others to share too. I know there's some other really thoughtful thoughts from others here.

But one thing that came to mind, Ann, is We how we ought to be so careful and how we characterize God And and this is a reminder of that so many times. I've heard the reference of the old man upstairs Well, there's no old man upstairs. I is, you know, this statement, who is this who darkens counsel by words without knowledge?

And, you know, so many people say so many things, and they don't have any real knowledge about what they're talking about, because what they say is not rooted in the scriptures or in God's self-revelations. So instead of providing light with words, they provide darkness with words. Instead of providing sound counsel, they provide confusion.

And so, you know, God is basically rebuking Job here. for thinking that he can call God into a court and question God and demand answers out of God for the apparent injustice that is occurring to him. And God is saying, look, you're taking the entirely wrong approach here.

Submission befits you. Humility befits you. Gratitude befits you.

not demanding answers and accusing me of injustice if I don't provide answers that satisfy them. And yet that is the attitude of so many people. And that's why the Bible says God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

And what he's doing is he's bringing Job down from his position of self-importance to a position of humility, And basically he's saying, look, you're seeking darkness, not light. Your attitude is one of self-exaltation instead of abasement. And I think, you know, I understood, Jeff, what you said when you said, isn't that a snarky reply?

In a sense, what Job strikes at, in a sense what God is doing is He's putting Job in his place. And that can seem kind of harsh, that can seem kind of abusive, but at the same time it's exactly what was needed. And so we have to be humble to the death before God is ever able to lift us up.

And that's the process that's going on here, is that in God's providences and in God's communication, He is saying to Job, "Look, you need to humble yourself. And then a blessing will come and answers will follow in the long term. All right, good comment there, Kevin.

And AK6LK. hey go ahead please yeah max don't forget to refresh your iphone there um yes and what i meant by snarky you know it's interesting how how the bible is written and and the stories at times And the Lord didn't come right out and say it, but he did say it. It's like, hey, Job, let's get this straight, who I am, how this all happened, and let's just set the expectation right up front.

And I just love this passage, all of it. It's just so funny. And this is where I think the Lord has a really good sense of humor.

Patty and I talk about this verse, this whole chapter all the time. Who started this whole thing, Job? Job.

Anyway, just a great reminder for Job to look up, sir. Yeah, amen, Job. Go ahead.

And, you know, that opening question in verse 4, where was thou when I laid the foundations of the earth, declared that thou hast understandeth? And, you know, as you look at this passage, what you're going to see is that, you know, God is declaring himself to be the creator. You know, what he's doing is he's proclaiming that, yes, Genesis chapter 1 and Genesis chapter 2, or the truth.

I did, in fact, do all of that. I am responsible for that. And by the way, where were you when I was doing that?

Of course, Job hadn't even been created yet because Adam hadn't been created yet, right? And so he's talking about the physical creation here prior to the creation of man. And the bottom line is that if God began all of this and God had the power to make all of this, then surely we are not in a position to call him to account for how he runs what he makes.

You know, it's just like... You know, Jeff, AK6OK, has built this wonderful radio station. He did it long before a lot of us even knew anything about radio.

And it's like, who are we to go down there now and start telling him how to hook up wires and hook up coax and, you know, input things into the computer? It's like, you know, he would sit there and say, where were you when I built this radio station, right? Who do you think you are?

And so it's kind of parallel to that, except, of course, tremendously greater than that. And so when you think about the creation, you know, that should just make us be dumbfounded with awe and with reverence and with humility in the presence of this incredible technology that God created and programmed and produced. You know, the other day I was out in the garden with Kathy and, you know, we were eating sugar pod peas off the vine.

And I'm looking at this and thinking, okay, God created a machine that can take dirt and water and sunlight and produce sugar. a wonderful sweet pea that you can just eat off the vine and it's good for you and it serves all the needs of your body. Is there anybody on this net that thinks they could design a machine that would take dirt and water and sunshine and produce a pea pod?

Please step forward and identify yourself. Oh, now you've thrown it down. ZXN.

ZXN, go ahead. Well, and you're absolutely correct, Max. And one of the other points, too, just right off the bat, we see who God did answer.

He spoke up to Job. He didn't respond to Elphaz. He didn't respond to Bildad or Zophar or Elihu.

He responded to Job, and he began this conversation that Job was seeking. And again, as we've talked about, really the questions designed to Job. for Job to have that humility to recognize who he has an audience with, the greatness of God.

But to your point, how can we, you know, even today with the best sciences, we can manipulate certain things. Well, we can't create life as we know it, and we certainly can't, you know, just everything described here. We see the hand of an eternal, infinite God addressing creation.

with such detail, as you point out, from the microorganism to such magnificence, the vast reaches of the universe. But I think it's important to recognize that God is responding and entering into that conversation and showing his presence with Job. KB7 is that example.

Yeah, Kevin, well said. Thank you for that. You are exactly right.

You know, as I'm going through this chapter, I'm seeing, okay, he starts out with the creation, right, of the world, okay? And then what is this world resting on? You know, what are the foundations?

Well, it's actually suspended in space. And then he talks about the ocean there in verse 8, or who shut up the sea with doors when it broke forth as if it had issued out of the moon. And so what God is saying is, I brought the oceans to birth.

I determined the size of them, and I determined the limits that they had. I mean, it would be sad if we had more land. The earth would get too hot and it would be sad if we had less land because then we wouldn't heat up enough.

So the ratio between the land and the sea is just perfect for the environment in which we need to live in, right? And then he goes on here and he talks about the morning and that talks about the sun. And the day's spring to know his place there in verse 12.

And he talked about how the sun is the right distance away and it provides us with morning, it provides us with night, daylight and night. And so then he goes on and he continues to talk about the various other aspects of creation. And so as he just walks us through the creation process, the control he had over each phase of it, and the beauty of the design that it has, and the inability that man has to even remotely create something parallel, much less explain what actually is there.

And so, you know, as I look at the Bible, it is saturated with references to God's created power. And we can't give up the doctrine of creation without literally giving up the entire Bible, giving up the identity of God, and giving up one of the greatest manifestations of his identity and power that there is. And that's why evolution is such an evil doctrine, and of course a false doctrine, because it strikes at the very glory of God that's being set forth not only in Genesis 1 and 2, but also here in Job chapter 38.

But Max, I think you made such an important point. In the day and age we live in, the predominant religion in the secular world, which I think is a religion, is evolution. It takes more faith to believe in that than—because there's really no evidence of it.

But yet it's taught as science. And that's the—to me, that's almost criminal—well, it is, I believe, in the court of—I don't But it is so true. And just here contemplating God, you know, speaking to Job, we just get a glimpse.

of the glory of the creation that God created, not just of God, but of His creation. And one of the questions I will ask evolutionists, when it all is boiled down, I say, oh, well, this became that, and that became this, and this evolved to that, and that evolved to this. Well, explain to me where the matter came from to begin the process.

first you have to have matter to even work with where did that come from let alone the time and the space to put that creation so evolution falls apart at every level But here we see just how God has a plan and God has a purpose. We don't understand that. We don't understand some of the things we go through and why, why, why, oh, Lord, why.

But we do can understand that God is present, that he has it under control, and that his presence is enough. KB7 is that acceptable? Yeah, Kevin Walsh said, "Thank you for that.

Appreciate that." You're exactly right. The problem with evolution is twofold. Number one, how did something come out of nothing?

And then number two, who provided the information for that to be assembled into the complexity that it exists in now? And so they have these two major problems. What's the source of matter?

And secondly, what's the source of information? As though those things could self-create and self-assemble, and you could make something out of nothing, number one. And number two, you could form and shape it into something just merely by blind chance.

You're right. It takes far more faith to believe in evolution than it does to believe in God. And, you know, one of the things God says here in verse, let's see, what is it?

I think it's in verse... So instead of a cow, who would have put Winston in the N-word park? So he would have given an understanding to the heart.

You know, you think about the instincts that the animals have, that as soon as they're born, they know exactly what to do, they know where to go for food, they know where to migrate, all of these things. There's this innate knowledge that's just built right into these animals that is unexplainable unless someone programmed that into them. So yes, Kevin, the folly of evolution is just enormous.

Zedekson, go ahead. I just think one of the analogies that I always fall back on is evolution reminds me of if there was an explosion at the printing press and you wound up with a Webster's dictionary. That's just not going to happen.

KP7, Zedekson. Yeah, Kevin, well said. No explosion of the Canadian press is ever going to produce a dictionary.

No big bang is ever going to produce a light, even if that is what happened, which I don't think it is what happened. What they do recognize is that there's a point where everything began, and that's scientifically undeniable. So what they try to do is create a false narrative as to what their current beginning was.

So anyway, the point is that you can't rob God of his creative power. You still have God because it's the nature of God that he makes all things, he rules all things, he has authority over all things, and as soon as you break down any one of those, you've created an idol or you've eliminated God altogether, which, of course, is what fallen man wants to do. So anyway, great comment there.

What is it that Pastor Max is actually talking into? Is it a radio? No.

He's on a PC. He's on his laptop. And he's using the laptop microphone.

So what he's going to have to do, and I know he's got this, but put on a headset, and it might really help him in a bunch of ways. It'll clean up his transmit audio. But he originally had a Maestro out there with him, which is a remote control for the whole radio, but he could not get it going.

And it's not always reliable on some of these hotel networks and stuff. So the PC works pretty good. So just wasn't expecting to use a PC, but doggone it worked very, very well otherwise.

Roger, I was asking, the reason I was asking this is because his audio is really weak. Yeah, if he had a local microphone, like a headset with a mic on it, on the PC, it would have worked just perfect. Okay.

Okay. Well, it was just a thought. Yep, and this is the first time we've tried this and doggone I'm happy with it.

I think it worked great. Yeah, it did work and it was wonderful that it did and took some pressure off of you even though you did an excellent job yesterday. Well, thank you and you guys are a huge help.

Thank you for jumping in there. One of the things made a lot of check-ins today. I think we had 26 or 27 and then we knew about it.

Anyway, I knew there were other people listening. Something I may set up and I've done it before is a live audio feed that you guys can log into or anybody can from anywhere and listen to this thing in the morning. So I'm going to get that.

Roger, well, I'm using the SDR and I use sometimes for SDRs and that way it helps me catch people that are off in the distance that others can't hear. And I don't know, would it be able to capture everyone? No.

No, we'd only be able to capture the audio coming off of the flux radio, and we don't always hear everybody here. The fact is Max is normally in Oregon. He hears a lot more than we do.

There's all kinds of ways to skin the cat here. We'll have to just figure out what the best one is. Yeah, Roger, well, it changes.

I think it's Jerry is just outside of Eugene and near Elmira, and I have a hard time hearing him. But if I use the Roseburg SPR here, I'm just fine. Yeah, see, I didn't even know there was one in Roseburg.

We have a remote that we're finishing right now in Coraline, Idaho, and it's massive. It has a... I think it's got a 4k W amplifier which we're not going to crank up that high but it's also got a 600 foot loop that's up a hundred feet and that is going to be a performer so we might move max over to that we'll see how it works is it going to be available on Kiwi no no it's this is a private one that we have three of us in here that have put this all together.

And I'm flying up to Coeur d'Alene here pretty quick to put up a massive beam, including three elements on 40 at 125 feet in Coeur d'Alene also. Roger, AK6OK, Alpha Alpha 5YK. Okay, well, that'll be interesting.

I hope it works out and it can help him. Well, I think so, and we might end up using that every morning instead of this station. This station's working pretty good.

We're running a little over a KW, and I think most everybody can hear it okay. Now, are you talking about the one you transferred on there in Rockland? Yes, and that was what Max was using this morning.

He was using Rockland... Is that acceptable? Yeah, go ahead.

Go ahead, Kevin. Yeah, Jeff, boy, if you get that up and going, you know, KW, our legal limit up there in Coeur d'Alene on a full, you know, 160 loop antenna. That I think would be fantastic as a remote base.

Keep us posted on that. That would be outstanding. There's a pretty good pathway usually here to that part of the country.
