So Jesus said in John 15, if they persecuted me, they're going to persecute you. If they hear me, they're going to hear you. So we stand in continuity with the sufferings of Jesus as we suffer because we are being loyal to him and representing him.
And so it's kind of like a soldier in a battle. He receives bullets from the enemy. And another one is about common sense.
He talks about using our common sense in this and not letting other stuff get in the way, down in that 26 to 29. It's that simple. christ is in you so therefore you can look forward to sharing in god's glory uh that's the substance of the message and um uh we we teach in a spirit of profound common sense so that we can bring each person to maturity um there it is in a nutshell max thanks for all you do all right jeff real good yeah verse 28 whom we preach warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.
And of course, God's wisdom is common sense because it's a reality. Unfortunately, men live in darkness. They live in blindness.
They live in the deceptions of Satan. And so what to you and I, Jeff, is common sense. Sure, other people don't comprehend that.
And it's because of the spiritual darkness and blindness and ignorance that is in them, as it says there in Ephesians 4. All right, other comments on the passage? Please come down to the conference.
ZXN. ZXN. Go ahead, Kevin.
Yeah, KB7, ZXN. Very good comments and observations. I, you know, I was just looking at 21.
I think what a plain spoken, really clear perspective on our state before salvation, you know, that we were enemies. We were hostile. We were doing evil deeds.
And before salvation, before we were transformed by the grace of God into new creation, there's no way we could not be enemies of God. There's no way we could not be hostile toward the ways and things of God. There's no way we could not be enemies.
controlled by evil deeds. But one of the things, too, I think in the text that, Jeff, you focused on, and as we go forward here in the application of this new creation that we are in Christ Jesus and this gospel that he, now Paul, is presenting now in life, in everyday life, by God's grace through faith. You know, there's much of Christendom out there that will try to present a watered-down, really a perverted version of Christianity that, you know, God just wants you to have an easy life.
You know, come to Jesus and, you know, you're not going to have any conflict in life and problems and your relationships all be fixed. Well, no. There's many wonderful things with salvation.
The peace with God, the reconciliation we have with God, the free from the condemnation and the power of sin, the love and the forgiveness. that God gives us in our heart through His Spirit for Him and for one another, and that will certainly, you know, help us through the challenges of relationships, helps us through the challenges of life. But as Paul says, you know he's a good faithful steward and what an example we have because to being faithful stewards to being one you know responsible for carrying this message uh of hope uh it's where our faithfulness is and to share in that suffering is something that is really quite honorable because it's showing faithfulness whether it's uh John Huss, which I spoke of earlier, whether it's Paul here in prison, whether it's any one of a number of millions throughout the centuries that have remained faithful to Christ, or as you point out, those pastors and those believers that stayed faithful through the time of COVID to Christ.
um because of our faithfulness to Christ according to His Word and proclaiming and preserving the Gospel. To share in that separate is a blessed thing. KB7, is that acceptable?
Yeah, Kevin. It says in the book of 1 Timothy, all those who live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. The more godly you live in Christ Jesus, the more persecution you suffer.
because the greater offense to the unfaithful world and the kingdom of Satan. So that's for sure. You know, I want to go back and talk about verse 21 that you mentioned when you began your comment.
Verse 21 says that you that were sometimes alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked work. Let's just stop right there. That was our condition when we were unsaved.
We hated God, and we were alienated from God, and we, in fact, were actively working against God. that the carnal mind is enmity against God, it says in Romans 8 and verse 7. That was our condition.
And yet notice that last phrase in verse 21. Yet now has he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death to present you holy and unblameable and unrecruitable in his sight. Now that's what the saving work of Jesus does.
It takes us from being alienated from God and enemies against God and practicers of wicked works into being people who are now holy and unblameable and unreprovable in God's sight because of the saving work of Jesus in the body of his flesh through his death on the cross. And so this marvelous reconciliation that takes place, we go from being the worst of the worst to being presented before God without fault and without blame. That's how great the cleansing blood of Jesus is and the saving work of Jesus is.
that he can take something that is that bad and turn it into something that wonderful. You know, it's kind of like, you know, you go to these wrecking yards, right, and you see these cars that are just destroyed. Maybe they've gone through a crusher.
Maybe three-quarters of the parts are gone, and they're just a derelict piece of junk. And imagine taking that car and through mighty work restoring it to showroom perfection. What a transformation that would be.
And here we are. We're moral wrecked. We're spiritual wrecked.
We're just completely broken and destroyed. And yet Jesus takes that and he restores it back to the perfection that it had before the fall ever occurred. And so praise Jesus for that saving work that he does in taking us from being wicked people to being holy and unrecruitable and without blame before his sight.
And of course the mark of that, verse 23 says, is that we continue in the faith grounded and settled. We're not moved away from the hope of the gospel, and we continue to persevere in that faith and trust in Jesus all the days of our lives. So what a grand statement of the saving work of Jesus from the depths.
of evil and depravity to the height of purity and holiness. All right, other comments? Please come down.
Roger, please go ahead. Yes, when I read that, and thanks for putting the magnifying glass on that passage, that is the wonderful, what we call the justification grace, when we died with him at Calvary in verse 22. In other words, he does...
well, of course, the book of Hebrews is marvelous too in that area, but presenting us, because of the blood, the power of the blood. Well, and then verse 23 is the power in the blood. If we really have allowed the Holy Spirit to give us a sense of appreciation, then it moves into the life of the sanctified life with the if.
If indeed you continue, and I think of Christ's parable, of course, of the soil. If the soil... is truly prepared by the Holy Spirit, we will bear fruit.
But then there's, of course, the devil is out there on the wayside trying to pick up the seed that was shared in our hearts. So, yeah, it's very complex. So that's why humility is the way forward, Owen.
Yeah, copy that. And that's why perseverance is the proof. of true conversion.
You know, we've all known people, as you said in the parable of the four stars there, where you have the rocky ground and the dirty ground. They make a profession of faith. They continue for a little while, and then they fall away and go right back to the world.
And the reason why is because their nature was never changed. But when a person hasn't changed nature, they haven't changed direction, they haven't changed life, and they persevere in that all the days of their life. And as Paul says, you know, I've finished my course.
I've kept the faith. I've fought a good fight. And so it's the nature of a true believer that once they come to Christ, they never leave him.
They continue to walk with him. They always return back to him if they've fallen to sin for a little while. And they maintain that confession of Christ as Lord and Savior all the days of their life.
It doesn't mean they're perfect. But what it does mean is that they never turn their back on Jesus and walk away. They continue to move towards him however much they struggle with sin.
The object of their open faith is always Jesus, and they continue in that faith grounded and settled. They're not going to ever give up Jesus, even though they struggle greatly with it. which ascends into temptations of this world.
So a real encouraging word here. Jesus does the saving, and the fact that he's done the saving causes us to cling to him all the days of our life. All right, we are out of time.
Thank you all for your comments. What a wonderful passage here. about the saving work of Jesus, about the suffering that we experience, and about the fact that we have the power of Jesus dwelling within us, bringing us to maturity, and ultimately making us like Jesus Christ, our Savior.
All right, we need to go to prayer now. Al KJ7QQH is going to lead us in prayer. He sent me this text message.
He says, I'm being moved to Stanford to figure out what's going on with my kidneys. And so he's had serious kidney issues, and he's not out of the woods by a long shot. So we can be a little more specific there about doc, W6RLG's prayer request for them at Stanford University to figure out what's wrong with his kidneys and to provide a remedy for healing those kidneys.
All right, thank you for that. All right, any other prayer requests anybody wants to bring to our attention, please come down with your call sign. All right, and of course we've got Keith, K7NEB, and his safe journey to Idaho.
All right, I think that that covers us then. Al, why don't you go ahead and close your turn for us. Thank you, Pastor Matt.
This is KJFQQH. Thank you. Your word, this day and in your word.
Thank you, Lord, for mercy and for truth in us. Lord, our need to answer all of our prayers. Showing your mercy to these perished, we elect to look at first our brother, uh We also look at our brother aid, AI-7QC, which is a 3 and 5-inch state correctional facility, as a volunteer service coordinator.
And also, we conduct institutional correctional facilities in our area. We lift up a green sail, A7H-SB, two-spring flow to sign off. The next station is Nunez.
Please wait and follow me. This is your final station. We're flying K-8-7-E-I-P.
This is a vehicle of the "Planet Detection" and this is a friend's train. As you see, there's two people on two stations. Please lift up the third wheel and you will might fly off the route.
49 on flight V8 is the first week to shoot. Greatly teaching, elevation, distance, and air power as well. We left at G-E-K-7-G-W-R.
We're still even lifting up. We're at G-E-W-7-S-J-W-E. We're home now, and waiting on the doctors.
And that's where the treatment was for. - I'm still watching for help from my patient. On that, he prayed first.
He actually died because of the disease. He has been in the MRI for a year now. He prayed that he had the treatment.
Now he's in the case for it. I am also working with his cancer. He has been very protective of my patient.
I am also leaving the place to keep him comfortable Thank you. The doctor said he said R.L.J. was very much in the health department.
And then, uh, we, uh, we heard that, uh, we wanted to be, uh, be moved to Stanford. And he's going to be admitted. We plan to send him, uh, to, uh, to find a, a treatment plan for him....
And then there could be a number of characters now. EJ728, do you accept the duty to break free from child abuse cancer? That's the meeting mark.
Make sure you report that you break the abuse business. Now, 212 Medical Team, ask the Medicare to set reports of good measure in the after. Thank you for that.
Also, we lift off our wheels and then we go. The crew set them up with very well-backed, and they're looking for a diagnosis. And of course, if that's your plan for a weekend, it could have been a case of getting too much smoke.
So, we're looking for a case of a, I mean, kind of a, a, uh, remedy that could be used to, uh, force you to come up with a defense plan.. If you need to sell a business, we pray for a buyer from the first position. For Carol, we need to get TPO to the next position.
The GE has purchased a stage 2 room cancer and is preparing for her treatment. Now for me, I'm going to be a great boy. uh The first marriage is 4 years, and it's looking up.
We're going to be teaching them. You know, it's very important. We did this, it's a valuable experience.
So, by the week, we're going to be very, very good teachers. We're going to be teaching them how to manage. We'll be a deep learning community.
We'll be undergoing some headcount work. It has to be a appropriate time in the morning here. It's a better chance to return.
It's not. You don't get to pursue for it if you return. Also, make the wait for Jeremy to have the first and your surgery on the first one tonight.
You know, the following day, you can get the second. so we're gonna All others, where you have broken, or those suffering from, or, the ones that you, need to bear with them, feel them, and help. That's without, or, thanking, your business, your mercy, or your praise for each one of them.
And don't forget that you've got to do something too. You pray all these things through, and you can do it. This is KJ-760H.
Cleared for impact. We've got active-hat control. All right, Al, KJ7QQA, thank you so much for that.
This is WB7MX, Net Control for the West Coast of Iowa City. I want to thank all the stations who checked in, and especially want to thank Tom, N6JOP from Aldersville, for checking in for the first time today. Tom, appreciate you being here.
Hope we hear your call sign a bunch more in the future. Also want to thank all the stations that stood by to give us a clear operating frequency. We meet here seven days a week at 6 a.m.
in order to read the scriptures, understand their meaning, message, and application. and then to pray for grace and mercy, to be able to live out what we learn, and for God to meet the needs of those that are in our circle of fellowship. I'll be returning this frequency now to regular amateur use.
This is WB7MX. I'll be clear and standing by. WB7MX.
Is that it, Ted? Go ahead, Kevin. Hey, we'll be praying for you today, brother, for your cataract surgery.
I'm sure all will go well, but anyway, what time are you going in? Well, I appreciate the question, Kevin, and the prayers. The answer is I don't know.
They told me they would call me today and tell me what time my surgery is tomorrow. So I kind of got the whole day blocked out. I'm planning on being here with all of you tomorrow morning as usual, and I'm assuming that the surgery will be sometime later in Tuesday, and then I'll be back with you again on Wednesday.
So I don't perceive... that my responsibilities here will be interrupted. However, I really don't know.
So if they call me up and say, oh, we want to see you at 5 in the morning, well, then somebody's going to have to step up to the plate and be neck control. But as far as I know... I will be here, but Kevin is still indefinite as to the time of the surgery, so just pray it will be later in the day, over.
Oh, very good. Well, yeah, that is kind of an interesting way to schedule. Usually they can at least give you a little bit of a window, but...
Well, okay, understood. It's tomorrow then and you're just kind of on standby there as far as the scheduling. So, well, we'll pray for that then.
And, yeah, it's scheduled at a good opportune time and I'm sure it'll all work out. Do you have to travel far, Max, for the surgery? Yeah, negative, Kevin.
It's only about 45 minutes, so no big deal. Down to Albany. So, easy trip.
The one we make all the time. So, yeah, they talk like, it depends upon who's on the schedule and... And I was kind of surprised they didn't give me a definite time, but they told me right up front, "We'll call you the day before and let you know." So anyway, I guess that's how they do things.
But thank you for your prayers, Kevin. Appreciate that. And we'll just see what God does, and we'll follow His providence.
Over. Well, absolutely. Well, it's all in God's timing anyway, I guess.
Are you doing one eye or both? Yeah, just doing the left eye. The right eye is still pretty good.
So we'll at least be able to see out of one eye. And hopefully this one will go well and I'll have better sight there. Yeah, the left eye has become uncorrectable with glasses.
You know, it doesn't matter what they do to it, it's all fuzzy. So, it's like, it's time to get that fixed. You know, I still see pretty well, Kevin, because my right eye is my dominant eye.
And it kind of fills in what's missing from the other eye. But when you really realize it is when, you know, you close one eye, and then it's like, "Oh, wow. Didn't realize it was that bad over there in left field." So anyway, I'm glad I'm getting it done when I'm younger, you know.
I think I'll heal up faster and just pray for freedom from infection and all those wonderful things that happen to like one out of a thousand people. So yeah, just trust in God and I know Jesus healed many people who were blind and even put some mud in one guy's eye in order to heal it. Yeah, he's able, and those are his eyes, and he'll manage them as he sees fit.
And so, just commit that it is him to go along for the ride, over. Well, amen, Max. Well, you know, they've come a long ways even with the procedure there.
and it's not near as intrusive as it was even 20 years ago or so. So, yeah, well, very good. And, yeah, I think you'll, you know, that cloudiness can just, as it slowly develops over time, you don't realize kind of what you lost, like you said, unless you close the one eye and then realize, hey, things aren't the same, but...
Well, we'll pray for you for a good schedule tomorrow, and we look forward to hearing you in the morning unless otherwise noted there. If we don't hear you and hear somebody else, we will certainly understand, but I'm sure it will all work out just quite well. I had both of mine done not at the same time, a couple weeks, two or three weeks apart.
And, you know, it's a little uncomfortable first few hours afterwards once the numbness wears off. But beyond that, it's not bad at all. So, well, best of luck.
KB7, is that acceptable? Yep, thank you for that Kevin and Jerry, Al, KB7Q3H's wife is on the schedule for Wednesday. So anyway, we'll have a couple of cyclopses running around here for a little while, but hopefully we'll go back to two eyes.
All right Kevin, KB7ZX in 73, you and Boze have a great day. And we'll chat with you tomorrow, God willing. All right, WB7MX, clear to clear and standing guard.
All right, guys, we're going to save the way. So, here's the report. All right, real good.
Yep, and Jerry's going to follow up, so... praying for her too and she's been down this road once before so she's got it all figured out so now she can instruct the doctors to how it's to be done tomorrow right Thank you. I'll be better.
So, I'm going to go ahead and get back there. You look good. Yeah, copy that.
All right, Jerry, love you, girl. And I'm sure you'll be just fine. All right, real good, Al.
So good to have you back. Man, I missed you like crazy. And let's see, Kevin, KB7's Edison stepped up, and he closed in prayer one day.
Jeff, AK6OK closed in prayer the other day. Because both you and Jerry were gone. Jerry, AE71, right?
So you're both gone, right? So I'm out here all by myself. Because the three of us are in the regular rotation.
So anyway, yeah, good to have you back. Thanks for closing in prayer. So good to hear your voice.
And thanks for all the pictures. I really enjoyed seeing what was going on back there and meeting John via picture. So anyway, much clearer idea of what the family is like.
And hopefully those benches now will be... Great for people to sit on for several more years. All right, I'll KJ 1728, get back to you.
Yeah. We're here to back you up. You know, I'm, I'm just a, a, a perfect, uh, standard pair of chairs.
Um, so, uh, I'm so thankful to make the, the pair of jacks and the, jacks and the, sorry to meet you, uh, I mean I'm a, I'm a, um, I'm so grateful to be able to be here today and appreciate it. It's been a joy to be able to work for you, and I'm glad you're here.... Yeah, copy that.
So your grandson, he graduated from college, is that correct. What was his degree? Copy that.
Well, chemical engineering, that's a great career field and it will do well. Those kind of folks are in big demand. And, you know, I never could wrap my brain around chemistry.
You know, regular chemistry was okay, but organic chemistry, I could never get it figured out. I just got through the class, I think, with a B or something because it was just too complicated for me. But, yeah, chemistry is a great field in law school.
love to do out there. So good for him. Every reason to be proud of him.
All right, real good, Al. I will let you go, WB7MX, and I'll be clear on your final. Go ahead, Al.
Oh, copy that, mechanical. I'm sorry I misunderstood. Yeah, my son's a mechanical engineer.
So yeah, I know him about that. So, good for him. That's a great field as well.
All right, Al. Good talking with you. WB7MAX, 7-3 to you.
I will be clearing QRT on your final. Go ahead. Yeah, that was good, Danny.
I'll be clearing QRT as well. Thank you, man. All right, WB7MAX, see you all tomorrow.
God bless each one. The Thank you. Thank you.

========== ### Scripture Reading (KJV)
> **Ephesians 2:21-22** > In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
### Study Summary
The study began with an introduction to the theme of persecution and suffering, drawing from Jesus' words in John 15:20. The analogy of a soldier receiving bullets from the enemy was used to illustrate that persecution is a sign of loyalty to Christ. The speaker emphasized the importance of common sense in understanding and teaching the message of Christ.
Moving to Ephesians 2:21-22, the passage was explained in the context of transformation. Before salvation, individuals were enemies, hostile, and engaged in evil deeds. However, through Christ's saving work, they are transformed into a holy and unblameable temple before God. The speaker used a car wreck analogy to describe this transformation, comparing the moral and spiritual wreckage of a person's life before salvation to the perfection achieved through Christ's work.
The discussion then turned to Ephesians 2:23, focusing on the importance of perseverance in faith. The parable of the soil was used to illustrate that true conversion is marked by perseverance and faithfulness. A true believer, the speaker noted, never turns away from Christ. This theme was further explored through comments from Kevin and Roger, who discussed the plain-spoken perspective on the state before salvation and the power of the blood in justification and sanctification.
The study concluded with a prayer segment, where specific prayer requests were made for individuals facing health issues and for safe travels. The group prayed for grace and mercy to live out what was learned, and the speaker expressed appreciation for the participation and encouraged continued fellowship.
Overall, the study emphasized the transformation brought about by Christ's saving work, the importance of perseverance in faith, and the reality of suffering as a sign of loyalty to Christ. ==========
