That's Phillip K6HSV. Alright, we've already -- let's see, there's Dan, K6TNI. Yep, we got him checked in.

N6TNI, I should say. Slip of the tongue there, Dan. I'm not reassigning call signs.

I'm not the FCC. All right, who else do we have? All right, I am looking for a voice check into the West Coast Mobile Study.

Please come down. All right, the net we'd like to read on is Gene, K7GWR. Good morning, Gene.

Appreciate you being there. And we are continuing to pray for Steve, W7SJ. So we got him right on the prayer list there, and we'll continue to pray for him.

All right, Gene, appreciate you being there. All right, Peter says good morning to everyone. Good morning to you, Peter.

Glad to have you with us. All right, any other check-ins, please come now. J6LBP.

I'm doing well, Pastor Max. And good morning to everyone else around the table. All right, real good.

We got you checked in, JR. Appreciate you being there, and great signal. Okay, any other check-ins this morning?

Please come out. Okay, thank you. Thank you.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Thank you. Thank you. WS7SAB and ALPHA5Y, good morning, Pastor.

Alright, we had a triple, but I got two of them. I got Sandy, WS7SAB, I got Beck, ALPHA5Y, good to have you guys with us. Appreciate you being here.

Beck, any prayer requests? Go ahead. No, sir.

I'm sanctioned for asking. I appreciate that. I hope everything's well in here, Captain.

All is well here. I want to be thankful for it. The only thing I got coming up is cataract surgery.

on the 19th, but that is something that is pretty ordinary and not too worried about that, but certainly we'll be praying about that as it gets closer. Alright, there was another station on top of Becalfe off of Wright-Yankee. Other station, please come down.

Kilo Delta 7, Echo Sierra. Kilo Delta 7, Echo Sierra, that is Eric. Eric, good morning, good signal.

How you doing, brother? Yeah, no, thank you for the easy morning and a good evening today. Boy, it sure is.

Any prior requests there, Eric? I have no prior requests today. Alright, copy that.

Good signal, Eric. Clear voice. Appreciate you being here.

Alright, any other check-ins? Please come down. KE7WKI.

And there is Dave, KE7WKI. Dave, I hear that you've been celebrating the 75th anniversary of the church, got to visit with Will, and so it sounds like you've had a good weekend, over? Very busy weekend.

It was a great weekend, and because I had been at that church for 30 years before I left it 10 years ago, it was great to get to see people that -- new people that a lot of people that I had known before. Great weekend. Good morning to you.

Great weekend. Well, thanks more for that, Dave. So glad for you guys.

All right, Dave, KE7WKI, I got you checked in. All right, any other check-ins? Please come now.

Yeah. I got 7DIT probably offering us a hair. All right.

All right. All right. All right.

All right. All right. All right.

N7DIT, you are off frequency, however your voice, we were able to copy it, so I'll continue to chat with you for a minute, you can adjust your frequency and hopefully you'll come back in a little better, so I'm going to turn it back over to you, N7DIT, come ahead. Oh, okay, for some reason it goes down. And when I transmit and save that, let's see if I can raise it up while I'm transmitting.

This is 75.1, 75.75. This is WB7VZL operating N7DIT. Roger, that is much better, much better.

I think you're on frequency now. So, Roger, WB7VZL operating N7DIT. Good to hear your voice.

So you got Candi's antenna fixed up it sounds like, huh? Okay, I've got some problem here that I didn't anticipate, but at any rate, I got the second half of the tenant soldered in. Thank you, Candy, to help as well, and it was sure a warm day to do that.

But anyway, we're operating with a decent antenna. We're happy to be back on the air with N7DIT. All right, real good.

Roger, you are 5 by 5 over 9. So great signal, good clear voice. Everything is working well.

That's a 5 by 5 over 9. So good signal. And give our love to Candy and N7DIT there, and appreciate you guys being with us.

All right, that's Roger, WP7VZL. Any prayer requests there, Roger? I'll wait for traveling mercies on the way home today, I believe.

I didn't get my sleep last night. Copy that. So, roger for traveling mercies.

Yeah, if you get sleepy, brother, pull over and take a nap. It makes a huge difference, so don't fight it. At our age, we can go to sleep in an instant and not even know what's happening to us.

So be careful there, brother, on your way home. We'll pray for you. Alright, WB7MAX, Net Control for the West Coast Pilot Study, looking for any last minute check-ins before we get started, please come down.

KB7, ZXN. There's Kevin, KB7, ZXN, Kevin got you checked in, any prayer requests? Nothing new, just a little pressure, Courtney will be wonderful, but all good here, thank you Max, KB7, ZXN.

Courtney is on the list, we'll be praying for her today for sure. Okay, any other check-ins, please come down. All right, this is WB7 in the X-Net Control for the West Coast, 5-0-3-8.

We are in Ephesians, Chapter 6, verses 17 to 24, and Jerry, 8-7-E-R, I'm going to ask you to read that section today when the time comes, not yet. I want to introduce it a little bit, and then we will get started with our readings. But Jerry, you can be ready for that.

That's Ephesians 6:17-24. Alright, this is the last section of Ephesians. This has been a great book.

We have traveled through this book, really enjoyed it together, and we have learned so much from what Paul has written to us here. And we started out in chapters 1-3 with the salvation we have in Christ, And now in chapters 4 to 6, the sanctification we have in Christ and the unity that we need to pursue, the walk we need to cultivate, the relationships we have to manage, and now the warfare we must fight. And so we are seeing that in this last section in chapter 6, verses 10 to 24.

It's a supernatural war and it requires supernatural weapons. And so we have been looking at some of those supernatural weapons yesterday. We're going to look at some more today.

And Will, TM5F, sent me a text message today or yesterday about verse 18 and how that ties all these things together. We'll be talking about that. Will, I'd like you to bring forward that comment when the time comes.

But anyway, this closing section, Paul asked for prayer. And we see that prayer is incredibly important in the work of the kingdom. It's one of the chief spiritual weapons we employ.

And that's going to be called the focus here. So anyway, we're going to close out the book today. Tomorrow we'll start the book of Philippians.

And we will continue. with Philippians, we'll do Colossians, and then once we get done with Colossians, we'll go back to the Old Testament. And then we'll be looking at Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, and Isaiah.

So it won't be long before we're back to the Old Testament, but we've had a good run here in the New Testament, and that's how we do things here at the West Coast Bible Study. We go back and forth between the Old and New Testament, alternating, so that we get the... whole council of God, both from the Old and the New Testament, both of which are inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God that guides our faith and our practice.

Alright, so that is our introduction. Will, KM5F, if you could open in prayer for us today, I'd sure appreciate that. KM5F, I'm reading out of New King James, starting with...oh no, sorry about that.

Father, we thank you for this day and for the many blessings of it. We thank you for being able to start our day with prayer. Then we put on your words and get dressed and feed on your words.

And then we end the session with prayer again, Lord. We just thank you for all the prayers that each and every person presents to this group. We thank you for the Those that have health issues, Lord, and those that are caregivers, Lord, we just lift them up as we read and study your word and for your many blessings upon us.

We thank you for the witnesses that we become as a result of this Bible study. Lord, we pray that you would keep evil out of us. each and every one of us and those around us, that they may not influence us at work.

Anyway, we thank you for the net control, for Max, for the many blessings he has sent to this group. We ask for your guidance. In Jesus' name we pray.

Amen. Bye. AMEN, thank you so much for that Will, really appreciate that.

The NET would like to acknowledge Carol, KK7TPO, Carol see you there in the Utah SDR, appreciate you being there, that's Carol, KK7TPO. Alright, we need to read our section, Jerry, 87ER, if you could read for us Ephesians 6, 17 through 24, appreciate that. I'm at the 16 to the end.

I'm sorry, 17 to the end, 17 to the end. Yes sir. and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

For those who are in petition pray at all times in the spirit, and with this in view, be only alert with all personal strength of energy, and petition for all the saints, and pray on my behalf that others may be given to me from the opening of my mouth. who make known my boldness and mystery as a gospel. For which I am an ambassador in pain, but in proclaiming that I may speak boldly as I ought to speak, that you also may know about my circumstances and how I am doing, by speaking a figure To beloved brethren, faith and minister to the Lord, we make everything known to you.

I have sent them to you for this purpose and purpose, so that you may know about us, and that they may consume through your heart. Peace be with the brethren, and love with faith from God the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. Peace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ, his incorruptible love.

Faith be with all. Terry, great reading. Thank you so much for that.

Will, KM5F, you texted me the other day, yesterday in fact, a comment on this section. Please go ahead with that comment. I think everybody needs to hear that.

Yeah, I'll just came by that. Oftentimes you get these pamphlets or these coins and they'll have the armor of God on them and oftentimes they leave off verse 10 and they leave off I see it as an introduction and start of a prayer. And daily we put on the armor of God.

And we do this in our prayer group. We started with prayer and then we read the Bible study. And I'm trying to put on the armor of God.

And sometimes We do that individually in our morning prayer sessions, and oftentimes verse 18 gets left off. And I think the prayer part of the armor of God is just as important as the body, because that's what pulls everything together, kind of provides overall shielding. and a communication with God, with Jesus, and only with Mary.

James, go ahead. Yeah, well, great comment. You know, even the armor of God is not going to be effective at all in protecting us against the fiery darts of the wicked one if each piece is not put on with prayer.

And so you're exactly right. We're not trusting in the armor. It's not the object of our trust.

God is the object of our trust. And so how do we get dressed in this armor? Well, we get dressed in the armor by praying about each of these pieces.

So we would pray, Lord, help me to be surrounded with the truth. Lord, help me to remember the imputed righteousness of Jesus that's been given to me as a breastplate. Help me to have my feet shed from the preparation of the gospel of peace.

Open an opportunity to witness today. And then, Lord, strengthen my faith. I need that shield to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

And Lord, I pray that you would just protect my thinking with your gospel. Lord, there's many assaults against my mind, and Lord, I need that moment of salvation. And then, Lord, give me wisdom and skill in wielding the sword of the Spirit.

Lord, cause your Spirit to bring to my remembrance all things that you have said, so that... I know what to say in any given situation, and I'm ready to give an answer to any man who asks a reason for the hope that is in me. Lord, bless this armor and help me to use it.

So a will is exactly correct. We pray over each piece at the beginning of the day, and we ask the Lord to help us. to not only put on the armor, but then to use it wisely and well as we go through spiritual warfare.

And so one of the chief weapons of our warfare is not only the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, but praying, as it says in verse 18, with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit. Well, great comment. Thank you for that.

And tying these two passages together, yesterday's and today's. All right, other comments on this section? Please come down.

KM5S. KM5S, follow up. Go ahead.

Well, on verse 19, Paul realizes that it's so important that he, using the Antioch being, he says, and pray on my behalf. So he realizes that, yeah, this is really important. I'm kind of almost begging you to pray for me.

And you know, Will, that is such an interesting observation because, you know, you think if anybody's got their act together, the Apostle Paul does. And if anybody doesn't need to be prayed for, it's this guy who's so gifted and so mature and has had so many grand experiences with the Lord and has seen such great success. Paul never thought that way.

And it doesn't matter how advanced or how gifted or how mature or how experienced someone is. every day they need grace and mercy from God to be able to carry on and carry out that work. And so if Paul needs prayer, brother, we all need prayer.

And so that's one of the reasons why prayer is such a big part of this net. We open in prayer and we close in prayer and we cast ourselves on the Lord for the meeting of all of our needs. And so Paul is, in fact, as Will said, begging these people to pray for him, because he knows without the prayers of the people of God, calling down the grace and the mercy of God on his situation, he would just wind up with a flat tire on the side of the road and not be going anywhere in his Christian life.

All right, Will, great comment. Thank you for that. If you have any other comments, please come down.

While you're thinking, let's talk a little bit more about verse 18. Verse 18 says, "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit." Now here it is. watching therein to with all perseverance and supplication for all things.

I want to focus for a minute on that word "perseverance." You know, that means you keep on going. You don't stop. You don't quit.

There's a passage in 1 Thessalonians chapter 5 that says, "Pray without ceasing." And you know, a lot of times I find myself when I pray for something for a while, and you know there seems to be silence there doesn't seem to be any action in relationship to that it's easy to give up and to quit and to stop praying and so i just want to encourage us to persevere in prayer but to persevere in the activity and to persevere um in um and just asking God, like the impertinent widow, for those many needs and those many requests that we have. And you remember the parable of the impertinent widow, that she came to the judge asking for help. And that's Luke chapter 18.

verse 1, and he spoke a parable unto them to this end that men ought always to pray and not to faint. Well, there's the problem. We get tired and we quit.

And the idea is we need to persevere. And so Jesus is saying that even a reluctant judge will finally give this importunate widow what she wants because she gets tired of listening to us. And of course this is a parable in contrast.

God doesn't get tired of listening to us. He's a just judge, not an unjust judge. And so if you can get an answer to your request from an unjust judge who is annoyed, how much more are you going to get an answer from a just judge who is pleased when his children come to him at the throne of grace?

So, you know, I've heard it said that God answers prayer in three ways: yes, no, and wait a while. And that wait a while is what's hard for us. You know, if we get a clear no, we go, okay, I can stop praying about that.

That's not God's will. If we get a clear yes, well, praise the Lord for that one. But when we get nothing, that's where the whole issue of perseverance comes in.

And sometimes it pleases God to just stretch our faith. Sometimes in the providence of God, he is saying yes, but it's going to be a year from now or whatever. Right?

So perseverance, that's an important part of this career that Will's been talking about. All right, other comments, please come down. KB7ZXN.

Kevin, KB7ZXN, please go ahead. I have to turn down my SDR a little. What wonderful comments and observations.

KB7ZXN, yeah, I was just reflecting too. A prayer is a weapon that really brings all this armor and sword of the Spirit together. And, you know, as we read about the full armor of God, we can see that it's something that is kind of in the mind and in the heart of Paul himself, too.

And it really reflects somewhat of Isaiah 59, 17, where God himself, has put on the breastplate of righteousness and the helmet of salvation. So when we put it on, we're putting on that of God Himself. But it is so important to have that context of the prayer.

And to me, it's just one of the most amazing expressions of God's grace that we even have that access to come to Him through Christ in prayer. And what a sacred and beautiful opportunity we have. And it is so integral in our spiritual walk, our day-to-day walk, if you will, in our spiritual life each and every day.

KB7, thanks. You know, Kevin, I really, really appreciate you pointing out Isaiah 59 and verse 17. I'm going to read Isaiah 59, verses 16 and 17, and then we'll make a comment here.

Isaiah 59, 16, it says, And he, that is God, saw there was no man and wondered that there was no intercessor. Therefore his arm brought salvation unto him, and his righteousness it sustained him. For he put on righteousness as a breastplate.

and a helmet of salvation upon his head. And he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, which clouded with zeal as a cloak. So we see where Paul, in the New Testament, gets these metaphors that he uses.

He draws them straight out of the Old Testament. And of course, before the New Testament was written, the Old Testament was the Bible the Christians had. And they were saturated with the knowledge of it.

So as soon as Paul started talking about this armor of God, of course, these people would go, oh yeah, like Kevin did. Isaiah 59 says 16 and 17. And so there's a principle here, and the principle is this, is that...

The Old Testament often holds the key to the interpretation and understanding of the New Testament. And I really like what Roger says. He talks about the Older Testament.

When people talk about the Old Testament, which is funny to hear, I use it all the time myself, you tend to think, well, that's like, you know, second rate, or that's like in the past, or that's like not relevant anymore because it's old. And, you know, when Roger talks about the Older Testament, that's like talking about the older men in the church, right? That's a term of respect, these older men.

They are mature, they are experienced, they are knowledgeable. And so I appreciate Roger using that term, Older Testament, because these two testaments are really just one book. And we have the New Testament and the Old Testament concealed, and the Old Testament and the New Testament revealed.

So, Kevin, thank you for making that connection there and how important that is. All right, other comments, please come down. 836OK, I am late.

Jeff, 836OK, we are glad to have you. Better late than never. Thank you for being here.

Jeff, we are in Ephesians 6, 17 to 24. That's Ephesians 6, 17 to 24. Do you have a comment for us, Jeff, or are you just showing up?

I just showed up hoping I wasn't going to get demerits this morning for being late. I'm getting a little bit more sleep every day, which has been very, very helpful. And this is my favorite verse, there are seven verses in the entire Bible I'm writing.

Yeah, copy that. Alright, Jeff, well thank you for being here. You get a merit badge for showing up, so no demerits for being late.

We love everybody, whenever they show up and however they show up. whether it's on the FDR, on the radio, or if they're just listening. Thank you all for being here.

All right, WB7MX, looking for further comments on Ephesians 6, 17 to 24. Please come now. I'm just making in, KJ7UMW, and I'm listening.

Copy that. We've got Glenn, KJ7UMW, checked in from Schmockaway, Washington. Glenn, thank you for being here.

All right, any other comments? Please come now. 5 Yankee.

5 Yankee, go ahead Beck. Yeah, I know I'm doing a little before where we're talking about it as far as the scripture is concerned. I'm only going up one verse and a lot of people are talking about the breastplate and the sword of the spirit.

I love every time I hear sword of the spirit. But you know, Even though God's given us the sword of the Spirit to, uh, test evil, to, uh, to not be nervous, I really appreciate the shield. The shield is very important to me.

I'll copy that back. The shield is incredibly important. Um, and it's, it's, uh, you know, the most used, uh, weapon other than the sword of the Spirit, uh, in this whole, uh, set of armor.

You know, we constantly have to exercise faith in order to fight spiritual warfare. Faith is the antidote to fear. And of course, Satan wants to make us afraid to speak the truth with boldness.

He wants to make us afraid. to bear witness to the lost. He wants to make us afraid that if we live out the implications of the gospel, that somehow we're going to be losers.

And so I completely agree with you. Time and time again, the antidote to any conflict or issue is to exercise faith in God and faith in the scriptures and what they have to teach to us. And you know, Beck, one of my favorite passages is that one in Romans 10, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

And so one of the ways I build up my faith is by reading the scriptures, and that shield gets thicker and stronger and bigger and better able to quench the lies of the evil one. Satan is a liar, and he launches those fiery darts of lies and accusations and enticement and by faith in the promises and in the in the son of god we're able to quench those things so i'm right there with you back on that one i use the shield of faith constantly and without that i would be right on my back Alright, any other comments, please come down. K6LBP.

JR, K6LBP, go ahead. I gotta tell you, Mr. Max and everybody else, that I'm really sad that I missed yesterday's study.

This is, "The Whole Armor of God" is one of my favorite pieces of this whole book. And what I noticed, and somebody may have made this statement, is that it prepares me for frontal attack. These things that we put on as the armor of God are preparations for moving forward, not for turning and running.

And that also reminds me of something we spoke of a week or two ago, was that God prepares those who are called. He does not always call on those who are prepared. So let us not forget that God intends for us to move forward.

against the evils of the world. K6LBP. GR Wells said, it reminds me of that hymn that says, Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before.

So you're right. The whole idea is we're supposed to be moving out, moving forward, and invading... to the kingdom of darkness.

And Jesus talked about that when he talked about Satan being bound and not able to enter into his kingdom, into his house, and plunder his people out of his kingdom, bring them out of the kingdom of darkness and into the kingdom of light. And so the whole idea is that we're to be going into all the world, making disciples of all nations, expanding the kingdom, building the church, bringing the light of the truth and the scriptures to all peoples wherever they may be. Well, that's all marching forward, isn't it?

And, of course, as you march forward into the kingdom of darkness, Satan and his people aren't going to just stand for it. They're going to fight back, and they do. And the best thing to do is to just face them, go forward, trusting that Christ is going to give you victory.

And, J.R., one of my favorite passages is Revelation 17, 14, where it says, These shall make war with the Lamb, but the Lamb shall overcome them. For he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and they that are with him are called and chosen and faithful. So as Jesus goes forward, we go forward, and there's no place for retreat.

There's no place for backing down or backing away from the truth or from the work. And, you know, we've all seen people who persevere for a little while, and then they get tired, and then they turn and run and back off and compromise because they are tired of the battle. and we can't get tired of the battle.

We have to keep fighting and not give up, not quit, and certainly, as you said, not turn our back and retreat. All right, JR, great comment. Any other comments, please come down to the call line.

AK6OK. Jeff, AK6OK, go ahead. Well now that I'm getting caffeinated and calming down here just a little bit, I want to bring up one more thing.

Not sure how this shoe horns in here, but it refers to social networking. And it's really important. I'm not terribly into it.

My wife does a lot of ministry through texting. And one thing I've noticed is the enemy does all he can to attack through social networking and texting. When you text somebody and there is no response, that is a response.

No response is a response. I know quite a few people that have had people not answer them. And this even comes up in my own family.

And that is a response in itself. And we have to be on guard because that also can be an attack from the enemy as well. And in this world where everybody is on Facebook and X and all these different services that are out there, there is so much of the enemy's lies flying around out there, and we've got to be careful.

And I think that refers directly to these passages, over. Amen. Well said.

And, you know, that's the thing is that, you know, we work and work and work and work to try to achieve people getting saved, the church being built, the kingdom being expanded, literature being published, bringing to light. And there's a lot of resistance. And as you said, when you text somebody and they don't text back, you know, it's easy to go, Oh, why should I ever text, you know, them again?

Well, you know, as you well said, no answer is an answer. It doesn't mean we should quit. It doesn't mean we should give up.

It's kind of like, Jeff, you know, you want to share the gospel with someone, and they blow you off. Well, you can't just say, well, I'm never going to witness again because that person didn't get saved. You're going to get a ton of pushback.

There's going to be lots of fiery darts flying the other direction towards you. And as Beck said, you've got to use the shield of faith. And you just got to recognize this is normal that people don't answer texts.

It's normal that people don't get saved when you witness to them. It's normal that there are conflicts between even professing Christians. This is all part of the spiritual warfare that goes on.

And yet, in spite of all the pushback, look at what's happened in the last 2,000 years. You know, we went from 11 disciples in an upper room, and now the gospel has been spread over the whole world, and there are billions of people who have gotten saved. Every one of those people got saved through spiritual warfare.

Every one of those people got saved because somebody was willing to put up that shield of faith and take those fiery darts and keep going forward and not turning back and continue to wield the sword of the Spirit and not look for carnal methods or means. And so, Jeff, well said. We've got to keep going and not give up, not quit, not turn back, not get discouraged.

to recognize that this is a battlefield, and all sorts of battlefield stuff happens, but we keep our eye on our General, who is the Lord Jesus, the battle plan He set forth, which is the Word of God, and the fact that the outcome of this war is not in doubt. We are going to win, and all of Christ's enemies and our enemies are all going to be cast into the lake of fire at the last. So with victory assured, recognizing the intensity of the battle, and having Christ as our captain and the Word as our guide, we just keep going, and we just keep pushing for a lifetime.

And you know what's interesting to me, Jeff, is that at the end of Paul's life in 2 Timothy 4, he says, I have gone a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. And so when he looks back over the totality of his life, He characterized it as fighting a good fight. And, you know, people say, well, can't we all just get along with each other?

Well, no, we're in a war. And that war won't stop until we pass into the next world. Only then do we rest from our labors.

But until then, we continue to fight the good fight. And, you know, Paul remarks about the fact that not only did he finish his course, but he kept the faith. You know, keeping the faith for a lifetime, that's a big deal, because there are so many things that want to tear us down and tear us away from keeping the faith.

And so just the fact that somebody was saved, and for decades and decades they continue to believe, they continue to follow, they continue to grow, they continue to serve, that's an amazing thing that's worthy of remarking on. And so when we're at the funeral of a fellow Christian, one of the great commendations that we give to them is, you know what, this person kept the faith. they fought the good fight.

They stayed the course, and as J.R. says, they didn't turn their backs and they didn't run away. Back to you there, Jeff, in case it's okay.

Yeah, thank you, Max. One more thing, as you guys might remember, I've been reading with my wife, Michael Reagan, a book about Ronald Reagan. He read last night something that I thought was just profound and actually quite funny.

When the Soviets were... And Reagan finally said, "I have an idea." He said, "Let's let them steal our technology. But let's put something together that's not going to work like so well as they think." And it referred to control systems for pumping fuel.

And they apparently put this out there, and it was actually stolen by the Soviets, this technology. When they installed it on their systems, it caused one of the biggest gas explosions in Soviet history. They were strategic in what they did.

We have to be strategic with the enemy. The enemy pulls this kind of garbage on us constantly. We've got to think through this, right?

Yeah, copy that. And creativity within the guidelines of the scriptures is certainly always appropriate. And, you know, you see that when you go to different cultures around the world.

They're all following the same Christ, all reading the same Bible, all carrying out the same principles, but they do it based on their circumstance and situation and how it works and applies there. So, Jeff, great comment. Thank you for that.

I think there may have been somebody else doubling with Jeff when he first put out his call sign. Other station, please come down. That's at Exit Yankee.

580, go ahead. Yeah, not having any children has afforded me to be a child at the age of 68 years old. And as a comment to the shield, okay, when I think of the shield, I think of the child's saying, and I'm putting an earworm in everybody's ear, and it's, "I am rubber, you are glue.

Whatever you say bounces off of me and sticks on you." Well, that's interesting. I am rubber, you are glue. Whatever you say bounces off of me and sticks on you.

That's an interesting statement. And, you know, it's often the case that our accusers are guilty of the very thing they accuse us of. But that's a big discussion right there.

But in any event, that's part of the shield of faith, right? It's rejecting the lies of Satan. And, you know, that's what Jesus did in the wilderness there for 40 days when Satan tempted him.

He put up that shield of faith, which was the scriptures. And he says, I believe the scriptures more than I believe your lies. and I'm going to obey the scriptures.

I'm not going to follow your advice and your counsel. And so that's a classic example of someone using the shield of faith properly. And so when Satan comes along, there's always a scripture verse to rebut what he's trying to get us to do or how he's trying to get us to think or what he's trying to get us to say.

So anyway, Becca, thank you for that. All right, other comments, please come now. Is that what you're saying?

Is that what you're saying, Kevin? Go ahead. Yeah, very good.

Good comments and very interesting. I was going to mention to J.R. that Brian captures each day's Bible studies, so if you did want to listen to yesterday's, and I think he has it transcribed as well, that is available to you if you want to review some of the comments in the net yesterday.

But, yeah, you know, faith is at the heart of this story. warfare and as one of the themes throughout the Old Testament and the New Testament is the just shall live by faith. And it doesn't mean we understand every element of God's plan, but we can trust in what we know to be God's word and God's plan.

When he says, thus saith the Lord, we best take heed in what he is saying. And we, you know, it's a It's not fruitful for us to look for the things we don't understand so much as to trust what we do understand. And I think that is so key.

And I always think, it brought me to the thought of the old hymn, "Standing on the Promises of God," and how true that is. And then I think of Joshua when he... was called to the siege of Jericho.

And he was told to march around Jericho and blow his horns. And if you were a military mind, if we were using our own intellect to try to take down Jericho, that's not the way a seasoned military mind would approach it. But God said, do it my way.

And Joshua and Israel trusted God and did it God's way. And I think that's important for us, too. We certainly need to ask God for wisdom and exercise that wisdom.

But let's not approach it with trying to outsmart Satan and his dominions on our own. Let's use what is provided to us in God's Word to protect our faith and to protect the saints, because it's a spiritual warfare that we're fighting here, to be sure. KB7, is that acceptable?

Yeah, Kevin, excellent comments. Thank you so much for that. And yeah, JR, the website is westcoastbiblestudy.com.

of any of the previous sessions we've had, as well as a transcript. There's an AI summary, and then there's the actual transcript itself, all courtesy of Brian, KJ7PWM, who does that wonderful work for us. And yes, Kevin, faith.

What is faith? It's trust without reservation. It's saying, whatever God says, that's the truth.

However God tells me to do His work, that's the way I'm going to do it. And what a wonderful illustration of Joshua doing it God's way, by God's instruction, even though humanly speaking it seems like this isn't going to work. And so we look at 1 Corinthians 1, it says, "The wisdom of God is foolishness with men, and the wisdom of men is foolishness with God." And therefore we've got to follow God's wisdom, God's way, God's Word, And that's how we deal with gold, silver, and precious stones.

Human wisdom only produces wood, hay, and stubble. Kevin, great comment. All right, we are way out of time.

We're going to have to stop here today. Might be closing prayer, so I will be closing in prayer. All right, are there any final prayer requests anybody wants to bring to our attention?

Please come down to the crossroads. Alright, he's got a text message. Let me see what that is.

And I'll respond to that. Let's see. Oh, this is Doc.

W6RLJ. He says, okay, he's got some health things here. The end result will be as God planned.

Amen. Doc, thank you so much for that prayer request, and we'll bring that before the Lord right away. Okay, any other prayer requests?

Please come now. I just want to praise the Lord that I'm back on frequency here at N7DIT. Okay, N7DIT, you are back on frequency.

It's still a little Donald Duck, but we got a good copy on your voice there. Roger, go ahead. Okay, sorry about that.

Yeah, oh my, I guess it is shifting a little bit. Anyway, I praise the Lord that the antenna is back up too. All right, real good.

Thank you for that, Roger. All right, any other prior requests, please come out. Alright, just got a text message from Carol, KK7TPO, she says tomorrow my grandson goes to court regarding Alice's custody.

Copy that, Carol. That's a big deal, we've been praying about that for sure. Alright, any other prayer requests, please come now.

All right, well, let's go to prayer. Our kind and gracious Father, we thank you so much for this Bible study and for this book that we've been studying together. Father, there's a number of things here we didn't even touch on.

This is a rich passage. And Father, we just pray that you would help us to be men and women of prayer and that we would put on each piece of armor with prayer as Will encouraged us to do. And Lord, may we fight the good fight and never turn our back as J.R.

was exhorting us. And Lord, I just pray that we would be faithful in doing your work your way as Kevin encouraged us. And Father, so many great comments.

Lord, just give us grace to be your soldiers fighting your battles for your glory. for the advancement of your kingdom. Father, what a privilege it is to be used by you to serve your kingdom and to expand and build it.

Lord, I just pray that you would be pleased to be with Carol, KK7TPO's grandson, who's going to court tomorrow regarding little Alice's custody. Alice is a seven-year-old girl. She's in a less-than-ideal living situation.

And Father, we pray that you would have mercy on little Alice, that you would protect her, number one, from all the evil influences she's surrounded by. Number two, we pray, Lord, that you would save Alice and that, Lord, Alice would find salvation through faith in Christ. And then, Father, we pray that her father, Terrell's son, would get custody, or her grandson would get custody of little Alice.

Father, I just pray that the court would look upon what's best for Alice and would rule in favor of a more wholesome living environment for her. And so, Lord, just supervise this court hearing tomorrow, and may this grandson get custody. Somewhat in his life Father, I just pray that you would continue to heal him, give the doctors real wisdom in dealing with whatever infections he has, whatever parasites or whatever it is that's bothering him.

Father, just have mercy on him and Lord, be pleased to heal him. We pray that even though the battle's not over, that you would be pleased to bring him victory in the near future. in his neck and be free from pain in the process.

Lord, we continue to pray for Sandy, W7SAB, and her continued healing from her hip surgery. Lord, have mercy on her. Thank you for the huge progress she's made.

And Father, may she continue to know complete and full healing from that surgery. Lord, we just continue to pray for the establishment of the dental clinic on Fiji that Doc W6ROJ is involved in. Lord, we pray that there would not be any hindrance, either from the government or in terms of financial resources that are necessary.

who had breast cancer surgery. Father, may she continue to recover. We pray for Daylene Rogers, WB7VZL's wife, that you would also give her full healing from her breast cancer.

Father, I just ask that these treatments that they received, both by way of surgery and radiation, would be effective in eradicating all cancer cells from their bodies. Lord, we just want to pray today for Brother KJX, George. Lord, he hasn't been on the air for a while because he's up to his ears in alligators with the springtime operation of his business.

And, Lord, I just pray that you would heal his wife's swollen thyroid gland. Father, Sue... needs that thyroid.

I pray, Lord, that whatever is agitating it would be resolved and that she would be able to retain her thyroid. We pray for George's son, Tommy, that you would provide him with housing. And Lord, may just George and Sue have wisdom in getting through this from a marriage of 40 years, supposedly he's going to try to find himself.

Lord, bring that man to repentance. And Father, may he return to his wife. And Father, may whatever the problems that are there in that marriage, may they be healed.

And Lord, may you be glorified in the restoration of that marriage. Father, we just want to thank you for your goodness and your mercy and your grace to each one of us today. Thank you for the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ.

Help us to be like him. Help us to echo his teaching in words. With our teaching in words, help us, Father, to bear witness to him, to the lost around us.

May we continue to fight the good fight of faith. Persevere, Father, in the word. Do not give up and quit.

Lord, we just ask your blessing on each of us as we walk with you today. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

========== ### Scripture Reading (KJV)

Ephesians 6:17-24 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things: Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts. Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

### Study Summary

The Bible study focused on Ephesians 6:17-24, which describes the armor of God and the importance of prayer in spiritual warfare. The passage emphasizes that the helmet of salvation, the sword of the Spirit (which is the Word of God), and the shield of faith are essential components of this spiritual armor.

Will (KM5F) highlighted the significance of prayer in putting on the armor of God. James (unidentified) explained that each piece of armor should be prayed over, emphasizing that God is the object of trust, not the armor itself. This underscores the importance of a personal relationship with God in the fight against evil.

The study also delved into the importance of prayer, as seen in Ephesians 6:18: "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit." This was discussed in the context of perseverance in prayer, referencing 1 Thessalonians 5:17 and Luke 18:1. Kevin (KB7ZXN) made a connection to Isaiah 59:16-17, where God Himself puts on the armor of righteousness and salvation, reinforcing the idea that God's power and righteousness are central to our spiritual defense.

Faith was emphasized as the shield that quenches the fiery darts of the evil one. Beck (ALPHA5Y) stressed the importance of the shield of faith, while JR (K6LBP) noted that the armor prepares for moving forward, not retreating, referencing Revelation 17:14. This highlights the need for proactive faith in facing spiritual battles.

Jeff (AK6OK) discussed the importance of being vigilant against attacks through social networking and texting, a modern application of the need for spiritual armor. The study also touched on the importance of continuing faith for a lifetime, as seen in 2 Timothy 4:7, and the need to fight the good fight and not give up, even in the face of resistance and pushback.

The study concluded with prayer requests for various individuals and situations, emphasizing the need for continued prayer for health, restoration, and spiritual growth. WB7MAX encouraged participants to join the study daily at 6:00 a.m. and to continue studying and applying the Word of God. ==========
