When he's with Grandpa, he listens in on the West Coast Bible study. So we love little Alex. All right, any other check-ins this morning?
Please come now. *car sound* Alright, it is 6 o'clock. It is time for us to get started with our West Coast Bible study, our passage today.
is going to be in Ephesians chapter 6, verses 10 through 17. So we're in the latter half of the book of Ephesians. The first half, of course, talked about the justification that we have in Christ, the salvation we have in Christ.
And so chapters 1 through 3 were pretty doctrinal. But now in chapters 4 through 6 we're dealing more with practical issues, how do we live out the salvation that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit have provided for us and applied to us. So we talked about the fact that we need to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bonds of peace.
And then we looked at some of the issues relating to our walk with the Lord. We're to walk worthy of our calling. We're to not walk as the Gentiles walk.
We're to walk in love, walk in light, and walk circumspectly or carefully. And then we've been looking more recently at the relationships we need to manage. The relationship between a husband and wife in chapter 5.
And then yesterday, the relationship between parents and children and masters and servants in the opening verses of chapter 6. So Christianity has profound implications across the board. And in all of our relationships, God has something to say about how we should live in those relationships, how we should behave in them for our blessing, for the glory of God, for witness to the lost, and for the building up and the blessing of the kingdom of God.
So how we live is not a matter of indifference. The Bible is very clear that we're not to just get our get-out-of-hell-free ticket and get-into-heaven-free ticket and then live any way we please. It doesn't work that way.
The same God who saves us is the same God who transforms us. And in that transformation and making us more and more like Jesus, it has a profound impact on how we think, how we speak, and how we live. Well, today we're going to talk about the warfare we have to fight.
Now, clearly... This world is a battlefield, and we all know that there's good and there's evil all around us, and even within us, we have that inward struggle with our own remaining sins. And, of course, Satan plays a powerful role in trying to tear down the kingdom of God and in trying to stop the people of God.
for being faithful in their witness and in their work. So what Paul does here is he takes up this metaphor of a battlefield in which we need to put on the armor of God so that we can fight successfully. And we'll be looking at that today.
So we have to understand that the Christian life is not unopposed. And even though you're really trying hard to do the right thing, and you would think everybody would be on board with you doing the right thing, good for you. Unfortunately, that's not the case.
A lot of people, when you do the right thing, do everything they can to harm you. for doing the right thing. And we see that in the persecution and the martyrdom of Christians all through the ages and even in our current time all across the world.
So we're in a battle between Jesus and his people and Satan and his people. And we have to fight that battle faithfully. Now, the good news is Jesus wins and his people win.
It says in Revelation 17 and verse 14, These shall make war with the Lamb, but the Lamb shall overcome them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings. And they that are with him are called and chosen and faithful. And so we know that Satan is crushing the serpent.
And strike that. We know that Christ is crushing the head of the serpent, who is Satan. Got my words a little ahead of myself there.
And... We know that in the end, Satan and all his people are going to be cast into the lake of fire, and Jesus and all of his people are going to wind up in the new heaven and the new earth. So the outcome is certain, but the battle is difficult, and here we have some great instructions for us as to how to fight that battle.
All right, before we get started with our Scripture reading, we want to pray together. Kevin, KB7ZXN, if you could open a prayer for us today, I would appreciate that. Absolutely.
With heads bowed and eyes closed, let us pray. Most gracious and loving Father, we do thank you for this day that we can worship you, that we can gather together here this morning and start our day by looking into your Word, Lord, by taking heed to the powerful messages therein and the spiritual light that you illuminate in our lives. Father, I ask you most humbly that you would minister to each and every prayer this morning and that we lift up in the praises that we can offer.
Father, thank you for your faithfulness. Help us to be faithful in our walk with you. In Jesus' name we pray.
Amen. Amen. Thank you so much, Kevin, for that prayer.
All right, let's get started with our Bible study. We want to do some scripture reading here. And I'm going to go ahead and read this passage.
This passage is in Ephesians chapter 6, verses 10 to 17. And I will be reading out of the King James Version. All right, Ephesians 6, 10 to 17.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
"Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness, and your feet shod with preparation of the gospel of peace, above all, taking the shield of faith, whereby you may be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked, and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. All right, the next phrase, praying with all prayer and supplication of the Spirit, seems to be following...
that section. Nevertheless, prayer is an important element of our spiritual warfare, and we're going to pick that up largely tomorrow, but let's not forget to include that today as well. All right, WB7MX here, having read the passage of Ephesians 6, 10-17.
Are there any comments on this passage? Please come down to your call center. WS7SAB and Alpha Alpha 5 Yankee, good morning.

Kilo India 7, do you have any rest of your distance? Alright, KI7IWV, good to have you with us, appreciate you being here. Anyway, we got you checked in.
Do you have a comment for us? Go ahead. All right, thank you for being here, appreciate that.
All right, any other check-ins, please come down. Okay, there's Cody, KI-7 TRF. Good morning, Cody, good to have you with us.
Copy that, okay, we got Cody. All right, any other check-ins, come down. Alright, let's go ahead with our discussion.
Any comments on the passage please come now. Is that XM? Uh, is that XM?
Go ahead. Yeah, um, and I wanted to lift up a prayer request if I could, Max, while we're getting started. For Courtney, um, uh, a dear friend and longtime member of the church, their daughter, um, Courtney had complications from a surgery and had to go back in yesterday and do some repair work from that.
So if you wouldn't mind just lifting Courtney up for a full recovery and that she might stay free from infection, I'd be much appreciated. And regarding the text here, yeah, this is a familiar text, and I'm looking forward to the comments because this is something that is very real. And to all of us that are believers, we know very well the reality of the conflict and the battle, the spiritual battle that takes place.
And it's no mistake that Paul started out in the sequence that he did in this text, you know. He speaks about him. chapter 3 about the glory being in the church.
But that church is comprised of you and I as believers. And so he really talks about strengthening and the faithfulness of those relationships with first husband and wife and with our children and with even our, as you put it, our employers. those that we serve and those that may serve us in different capacities, we have a deep responsibility because that's where the ancient ones, Lucifer and his dominions, Satan attacks.
If he can destroy and undermine the family and those relationships, he's ultimately attacking and destroying the church. And we saw yesterday, just in some of those numbers, how effective he has been in our own culture of attacking the family. So the first thing I think I just want to take note of here is, first of all, the enemy is very real.
This isn't just some ethereal concept or some imaginary opponent. The Ancient One and the powers that be are very real, and their purpose, their goal is to destroy. to lie and deceive.
So we know that, and now we have some wonderful instruction on how we can protect ourselves with those relationships that Paul just completed and letting us know are so precious and important in our lives. but also how now the spiritual warfare plays out and how we can be prepared to protect ourselves, our families, and our church. KB7, Denningston.
Yeah, Kevin, great comment. And Dave, K-I-7-I-W-V, finally put a name with that call sign. I recognize the call sign, but Dave and Albany, my good friend down there, Been a long time, Dave.
Hopefully your thyroid's doing well, and appreciate you being here with us. All right, real good. Got that taken care of.
Back to Kevin's comment. Kevin, you are right. Where does a spiritual warfare happen?
Well, it largely happens in the family, doesn't it? It happens in the family, happens in the church. Those are the two key institutions for building the kingdom of God, is parents raising their children.
in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, husbands and wives loving each other and each of them fulfilling their role in responsibility and relationship to each other. If you can tear down the family and you can tear down the church, you can destroy the kingdom of God. So that's where Satan largely focuses his assault.
And we saw yesterday that the family is gradually being deconstructed in America, only 47%. All living situations involve one man and one woman. We have a vast number of single-family households.
We have a vast number of households where people are living together without being married. And then we have a vast number of households where people are just living in other various arrangements. And then, of course, we know the church, our own churches that we go to are constantly under assault in terms of false doctrine, in terms of unqualified and incompetent leadership, in terms of divisive people.
in terms of bad doctrine. And you really see this, Kevin, when you look at the seven churches of Revelation at chapters 2 and 3, right? Only two of those churches didn't have any problems for Jesus to call out.
The other five had lots of problems. And with reference to those other two, Jesus says, be awake, be on guard, be alert. Keep doing the things you've been doing because the attacks are coming.
So, yeah, the enemy is real. We need to understand that what we see with our eyes isn't all that there is, that there is a whole spiritual realm that is just as real as the physical realm. We just can't see it with our five senses.
But we do see it with the eye of faith. And so that's why faith is such an important part of this spiritual warfare, is being able to understand what is going on. You know, Kevin, one of the things that I have people constantly say to me is, I don't understand why, and then they'll describe something that's happening.
Well, the reason why is because Satan is at work, and he's at work through his people. And this work is, at its fundamental core, irrational. It's unexplainable from the point of view of you would never do that if you wanted a blessing and good outcomes in your life.
But there's nothing rational about sin. There's nothing rational about Satan. And there's nothing rational about the people who served them.
They're forever making choices that are destructive to their own happiness and outcomes, and the happiness and the outcomes of the people around them. Kevin, great comment. Thank you for that.
All right. Other comments. Please come down.
All right. Go ahead there, Dave. Yeah, I think one of the things on my heart right now is to think of really attacking the credibility of the church, of the world, and particularly in the schools.
And that we need to really be training our children to withstand the attack that they've been in the school against the Word of God. If you can get the kids, then where's the next generation going to be? So we really need to be...
I'm in a battle with school of our kids, and I'm going to use this in my case, just making sure that they know the word of God and they know that God has came out there to start them with. So, anyway, thanks for the information. Steve, thank you for that.
I appreciate that comment. An excellent comment. The word of God is constantly under attack in the public schools.
And there is constantly an effort to undermine children's faith in God, their confidence in the scriptures, and, of course, the teachings that their parents and grandparents give to them. And so what Dave is saying is exactly true. We ought to raise our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, as we saw over there in chapter 6 and verse 4.
But a lot of times people wind up, for various reasons, having to have their kids in public schools. And that is one of the primary institutions of assault that Satan uses. in order to destroy faith in children and their confidence in the scriptures.
And so, Dave, you're so right. As we see our grandchildren, most of us are older now, in public school, we just need to pray for them, that God will protect them from the assault of Satan on their mind and on their bodies. and that God would raise up godly teachers that they could have contact with and that their parents would be strong in teaching them the truth of the Word of God, even though it's being attacked in the schools that they attend.
Dave, KI7IWV, great comment. Thank you for that. All right, any other comments?
Please come down. Alright, the net would like to acknowledge Dave, KE7WKI, we've got a couple of Daves on our list here today, so we've got Dave, KE7WKI up there in Idaho, Dave, thanks for being with us. Alright, any other check-ins, please come down.
All right, any other comments on the passage? Please come down. KS7, IWB.
Dave, go ahead. I'm not sure if we got down to verse 20 and right-team, but one of the things that stands out there to me is Paul is asking for boldness in saying that he doesn't care about verse 20. And I think that's one of the things that we need to be constantly being honest about to be bold, not too shy, not the word of God.
We need to be bold in the battle. And part of the whole point of this, of this talking about the armor of God, is that we need to be bold. And I think that's kind of the thing that we have to be fast on the word God is, is that, "Oh, you're a fool." The only thing about the Juniper to California, the stadium, and everything we've seen, is that it's absolutely just a place all about the downhill.
So, you need to think of that. So, there's no, that's all foolishness. And so, we need to not be put off by that.
Okay, okay. Yeah, Dave, thank you for that. We hadn't read that far, but that's a great exhortation.
And the world tries to shame us into silence. They try to mock us and scorn us and ridicule us in the hopes that we will keep our mouths shut. Do not keep your mouth shut.
Stand up for the Bible. And people will try to accuse you of being, you know, unscientific or ignorant or, you know, that you're anachronistic, whatever, you know, that you're living in the past. And so we need to not be ashamed.
Thank you. of our gospel, or of our Savior, or of the scriptures. Open your mouth.
Speak up. Fight the battle. And, you know, Dave, one of the things I see earlier in the passage here is this word, stand.
And it's repeated over and over and over again. And so verse 13, "Take unto you the whole armor of God, that she may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." Verse 14, "Therefore having her waist girded about with the belt of truth, and having on the best place of righteousness," etc. And so it goes on and talks over and over again about standing.
And the idea is we don't retreat in battle. We don't turn tail, we don't run, we don't go silent. we continue to speak up.
And so thank you, Dave, for that exhortation. We have the truth. They are the liars.
And we have the wisdom. They are the foolish ones. And so we need to have the confidence that that's the case and stand up, open our mouth, and tell them, that they are pursuing a foolish course of action that's going to result in destruction, and that they are serving Satan, their destiny is hell, and if they will repent and submit themselves to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, they are going to have a terrible outcome on the Day of Judgment.
So they may mock and squirt and laugh but lets speak up. Dave, great exhortation, thank you for that. Alright, another comment please come down.
ZXN ZXN, go ahead. ZXN. I'm looking forward to some other comments as well.
And just to the point of the reality of the devil, as Paul calls him, the diablo, is the reality of it. We see how he plays out in Daniel 10. We see how he attempts and tries to twist the word of God, as he did with our Lord in the wilderness.
We see that he entered Judas. at the Passover table. He is very real.
And, of course, one of the effective ways is just to cast doubt on the Word of God, cast doubt on God, cast doubt wherever He can, cast doubt in your life and, oh, your sin is too great. God could never forgive you. Oh, you're a failure in Christ.
So if He can't destroy your walk altogether, He'll do what He can to damage it and present temptations. So we have a wonderful outline here of how to put on the full armor of God. And this is something that I know that there are some that have gone through so much in their life as children.
And this is something, as they grow up and become acquainted with the love, and the security of our Savior. This is something they lean on, they embrace so much, and know that they have the protection now from the Savior that they may not have had as children. But as us, as spiritual believers now, this is important for each of us because as we see the attacks come in our relationships and in us personally and those that are most vulnerable, KB7 is that example.
Yeah, we need to be especially protective of children because, as we know, there's a vast amount of child sexual abuse and child trafficking. There's a vast amount of mental abuse going on on the minds of children in the media, in the public schools, and then just out in society in general, in the entertainment industry in particular. And so it talks about in verse 14 about having on the belt of truth.
And the idea there is that the belt is that which holds up and holds together all the rest of the pieces of armor. And, you know, we need to be surrounded with and strengthened by... the truth.
And to the degree that we don't understand the truth, to that degree we're going to be susceptible to the lies of Satan, because we know he's a liar. And so how do we combat his lies? We combat his lies with the truth.
Where is the truth? Jesus said in John 17, 17, sanctify them by thy truth. Thy word is truth.
So the word of God, the truth of God, is that which forms the foundation of our defense against Satan. And then it talks about having on the best plate of righteousness, that's the imputed righteousness of Christ, which is given to us as a gift. And so when Satan comes along, not only with his lies, but also with his accusations.
Oh, you're such a sinner. You're such a wretch. You're such an evil person.
You just won't give up. You know, our response to that is, you know what? I am a sinner, but Jesus Christ has died for my sins, Jesus Christ has atoned for my sins, and Jesus has given me his righteousness.
And it's in that perfect righteousness he has given me that I can stand with confidence for God and with God, knowing that God accepts me based on the righteousness that Jesus has given to me and the atonement he's provided on my behalf. So each of these pieces of armor are designed to combat a particular assault that Satan brings against us. We use the truth to combat his lies.
We use the imputed righteousness of Christ to combat the discouragement that he heaps upon us regarding our sin. And then it talks here about our feet shed with the preparation of the gospel of his teeth. You know, we're standing on the gospel.
That's the ground upon which we stand to fight. And so as we understand what the gospel is, And as we embrace that and stand on the promises it contains, Satan can't knock us off of our feet. Okay, well those are the first three pieces of armor.
There's some more here. Anybody want to comment on these other pieces of armor or the ones I commented on? Please come down to your call center.
Alright, well while you're thinking, let's talk about the shield of faith. Of course, Satan throws his fiery darts at us, which are his lies, his accusations. his discouragement.
How do you resist all that? Well, with the promises. Faith believes the Bible.
Faith believes the promises. Faith believes that God has an attitude of goodwill towards us, that he loves us, and that nothing can separate us from that love. Faith believes he's working all things together for good.
Faith believes that he's going to supply all of our needs according to his riches in Christ Jesus. And so one of the chief tools we have to fight in this warfare is the shield of faith. And so every time the lie of the devil is launched at you, Faith lays hold of the promises of God and the perspective that the Word of God provides us with and uses that to answer.
You remember when Jesus was tempted in the wilderness and Satan was throwing those fiery darts at him. What did Jesus do? He answered with the Scriptures and his belief in the Scriptures.
And thereby he defeated those temptations of Satan. All right, any other comments, please? Come out.
Thank you. to kill the faith is that we have other believers with us and they help us in maintaining our faith and in the rest of the armor here. So it's important that we not just take our assembling together, that we're out there not just here on the radio, but also in church, telling each other up, and strengthening each other as God has commanded us to do.
KFNIWV. - Dave, great comment. And you know that in wind warfare, It's always a group of soldiers fighting together.
You know, you don't have the Lone Ranger guy out there fighting battles successfully. If he hasn't got his battle buddies, he's going to be really vulnerable. And that's why the Bible says to forsake not the assembly of yourselves together, as the manner of some is, and so much the more, as you see the day approaching.
And so there's a reason why when God saves us, He puts us in connection with other believers. in a local church and in a community of folks like we have here. We are reinforcing each other on the West Coast Bible study.
We are reinforcing each other when we go to church and when we pray together as an assembly. So, Dave, thank you for that. This isn't a battle we fight alone.
It's a battle we fight in union with our fellow believers, drawing strength from them and them drawing strength from us. There's a reason why Jesus sent out his missionaries two by two. He didn't ever send anybody out alone.
And so the lone Christian is really easy to get picked off because he loses perspective and he loses that encouragement. He loses the warnings. that are supplied to us.
You know, it says in 2 Corinthians regarding Satan, we're not ignorant of his devices. Well, a lot of the ways in which we learn about who Satan is and how we fight him is from a fellowship with more mature believers who can say to us, hey, don't go there. Don't head that direction.
You know, there's fiery darts over there. That's not going to be a good place for you to wind up theologically or morally or positionally, relationally, whatever. Right.
Dave, great comment. Okay, other comments, please come out. All right, well, verse 17.
Take the helmet of salvation. Now, we talked about in verse 15, your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. So there's what we're standing on with our feet.
And now here's what our head is covered with at the top. So from top to bottom, we're covered with salvation. The message it contains, the promises it has, the transforming power that it possesses.
The helmet of salvation, I mean, look, your mind is constantly being assaulted with the lives of the culture, with the lives of the politicians, right? with the lies of the entertainment industry, with the lies of the so-called higher institutions of learning. And our minds are being bombarded.
And what's going to protect our minds with the helmet of salvation? And so as we reflect on the whole scope and sweep of God's saving plan and purposes, from Genesis 3.15 all the way to Revelation 22, that perspective protects us from the assaults of Satan. We have to guard our minds.
We not only got to stand on the gospel, but our minds need to be filled with the gospel so that when anything contrary to it comes and assaults us, we can cast that out and resist that out of hand. All right, any other comments? Please come down.
Kevin, KB7 Zedekson, go ahead. Yeah, very good, Max. And by the way, it's good to hear you out there again, Dave.
It's been a long time, but it's great to hear you. And absolutely, and these are powerful tools, powerful things to keep in mind. But as our walk with our Lord is daily, so should our actively putting on the full armor of God.
As we do our morning Bible study, as we do our morning prayer, as we do our morning prayer, have purposeful time in prayer, individually and corporately. Let us also consider this is a daily consideration, a daily call to put on that armor because each day brings its own challenges, as we know. KB7 is at example.
Yeah, Kevin, and that's the thing. We've got to get dressed every day, right? And that's what we're doing here with the West Coast Pilot Study, right?
We start the day putting on the armor of God, okay? And so we start the day by reminding ourselves we're in a battle. We need to stand.
As Dave was saying, we need to speak the truth today, in whatever circumstance we're in, with boldness. And then we need to reacquaint ourselves with the truth. We need to remind ourselves that Jesus has made us righteous, that this gospel is where we stand.
And then, of course, remind ourselves of the promise of our shield of faith. and then protect our minds with the whole scope of God's saving work. And then, of course, this final piece of weapon here, which is the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
Now, here is the only offensive weapon in the whole list. What are we supposed to use to fight our battles? The weapons of our warfare are not carnal.
They're not physical. We don't fight our battles with M16s. We fight our battles with the Word of God.
And so we take the truth of the Word of God and we bring it to bear on and use it to destroy the arguments of the wicked and to defeat the forces of Satan. We have a wonderful promise in Matthew 16 that the gates of hell will not prevail. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, instruction, and righteousness, that the man of God may be mature, thoroughly furnished for every good work.
And so over and over and over again, the Bible tells us, "Use the Scriptures in your battle." And so our battle is spiritual, it's authorable. and then use those passages in your conversation to defeat the works of the devil and to advance the kingdom of God and to bring people to saving faith in Jesus Christ. All right, other comments on this passage and the whole armor of God?
Please come now. I have a question. Yeah, go ahead there, Beck.
Could you actually have a war or a battle within yourself? Absolutely, you do. The flesh lusts against the spirit, and the spirit against the flesh.
These two are contrary one to the other. And so, yeah, there's a war going on inside, Beck, for sure. Go ahead.
Okay, that was my question. Thank you. Yeah, you bet.
So the war is inside of us, and the war is outside of us. So that is... something we have to be aware of.
All right, we have to make way and make time for the Vintage Military Radio Network that follows here at 6:50, so we need to go to prayer real quick. But are there any final prayer requests that anybody wants to bring to our attention? Please come down to the call sign.
Alright, well let's stand against the wilds of the devil today. Jerry, AE7ER, I hope you copied this prayer request from Kevin, KB7ZXN. Ask us to pray for Courtney.
Courtney is having complications from surgery, that's all we've got. So, that's Kevin, KB7ZXN, Courtney, C-O-U-R-T-N-E-Y, who has complications from surgery, so let's add that to the list. Jerry, go ahead and lead us in prayer when you're ready.
Good morning, Fred. Hi, Father in heaven. Thank you, Lord, for another day.
We ask you to be with everyone who participates in this environment. City of Orlando. I'm here again Brian, G-I-T.

========== ### Scripture Reading (KJV)
Ephesians 6:10-17 > Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; Shoes for your feet, with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
### Study Summary
The passage from Ephesians 6:10-17 is a powerful call to action for Christians, emphasizing that the Christian life is a battle. This battle is not just against external forces but also against internal struggles, making it a comprehensive spiritual warfare. The context of Ephesians is divided into doctrinal and practical sections, with this passage falling into the practical part, focusing on how to apply the truths of salvation in daily life.
The passage describes the Christian life as a battle against spiritual forces of evil. Satan and his forces are real and active, and the battle is fought not only externally but also internally, where sin and temptation persist. The armor of God is presented as a metaphor for the tools and protections necessary to fight these battles effectively.
The armor of God includes several components: - **Truth:** This is the belt that holds all other pieces of armor together, signifying the importance of grounding oneself in truth. - **Righteousness:** This is the breastplate that protects against Satan's accusations, representing the righteousness of Christ imputed to believers. - **Gospel of Peace:** This is the shoes that keep us grounded, standing firm on the gospel. - **Faith:** This is the shield that protects against Satan's fiery darts, enabling believers to quench his attacks. - **Salvation:** This is the helmet that protects the mind, ensuring that thoughts and beliefs are aligned with God's will. - **Word of God:** This is the sword of the Spirit, the offensive weapon used to combat Satan's lies and attacks.
The speaker emphasized the importance of putting on this armor daily, standing firm, and speaking the truth boldly. The passage also highlights the importance of not fighting alone; believers are encouraged to seek encouragement and support from fellow believers. Community and fellowship are vital in spiritual warfare, providing strength and support in times of need.
Beck's question about internal battles was addressed, confirming that the same weapons used for external battles are also used for internal struggles. The importance of daily equipping oneself with the armor of God was reiterated, along with the importance of community and fellowship in spiritual warfare.
In conclusion, the study emphasized the theme of spiritual warfare and the importance of equipping oneself with the armor of God to stand firm against both external and internal battles. The passage calls believers to a life of active engagement in spiritual warfare, supported by the community of faith, and grounded in the truth and power of God's Word. ==========
