the surgery and that she'll know good health and healing going forward from here. So praise the Lord for that, Roger. And hopefully the discussion today with the doctor will go well and you guys will come away rejoicing in the Lord. Back to you there, Roger. Yes, that's for sure. And thank you for this wonderful passage that we have to work with. I copy that, yep. Ephesians 1, 1 to, pardon me, Ephesians 3, 1 to 13. So yeah, looking forward to talking about that. Alright, we've got about 15 seconds left to go before we get started with the Bible study. Oh, there's Gene, K7GWR. Good morning, Gene. Good to see you there on the Utah SDR. Appreciate you being there. Let me just run through here. There's Peter, KJ7B8. Good morning, Peter. Good to have you with us on the Utah there. See you there. All right. Let's see what else we got. And Peter says good morning to everyone. Good morning to you, Peter. Good to have you with us. Always appreciate your greeting. Okay. All right. Any other check-ins? Come now. Any other check-ins? Yeah. And good morning, Lee. Anyone else worth a check in please come out All right, it is 6.01, so we're going to get started with our Bible study. We'll continue to look at the STRs, pick up any people that show up a little bit late, and we'll acknowledge them and check them in. And also, any late voice check-ins. feel free to pop your call sign in here, and we will acknowledge you. All right, I think, yep, I'm caught up on my STR, so we are good to go. All right, our passage today is Ephesians chapter 3, verses 1 to 13, and this passage continues the discussion that began back in chapter 2. You recall that in chapter 2 and verse 11, uh... Paul started to talk about how the God reconciles Jew and Gentile into one body and into one temple. And that's what we looked at in chapter 2. And now in chapter 3, we're going to talk about how this mystery was revealed by the Spirit to the Apostle Paul. A mystery in the Bible is not something that's spooky. A mystery is just something simply that wasn't revealed in the past, couldn't be discovered by human investigation. but now is made known by divine revelation. So a number of times the word "mystery" is used in the Bible, and each time it's just talking about something that is a new revelation, something that couldn't have been discovered by people on their own without that revelation. So it's now a new piece of information that God has delivered by divine inspiration to his apostles or prophets. So that's the concept that's contained in the passage. So we're going to be talking further about the integration of Jews and Gentiles together into one body. All right, before we get started with reading the passage, we want to open our turn together in prayer and ask the Lord to meet the needs that we have. Um... And so, Jeff, AK6OK, could you please open in prayer for us today? I would be honored. Thank you and thanks to everybody who's sitting around the round table this morning. Let us pray. Lord, thank you for this awesome Wednesday. It's going to be a great day. Thank you for each and every person that saluted themselves up to the table here. And we pray for all of their things that are going on all of our lives. Thank you for this passage in Ephesians 3 today. Thank you for Max being here as well every morning, early, early morning to get up. And we are blessed by your presence, Lord. In Jesus' name, amen. Amen. Thank you so much for that. And I would like to acknowledge Brian, KJ7TWM. Brian, see you there on the Utah SDR. And appreciate you being there with us. Hopefully Brian's getting a little more sleep these days now that all his sheep are born. and the lambing is over. And, of course, that doesn't mean the work is over, but at least you're not having to be up 24 hours a day waiting on these youth to drop their lambs. All right, that's Brian, KJ7PWM. Jeff, thank you for being there. All right, Roger, WB7VZL, if you could read for us today, Ephesians chapter 3, verses 1 to 13. That's Ephesians 3, 1 to 13. Roger there, go ahead. WB7VZL reading from the New American Standard Bible. For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ, Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles, if indeed you have heard of the stewardship of God's grace which was given to me for you, that by revelation there was made known to me the mystery, as I wrote before in brief. And by referring to this, when you read, you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit. To be specific... that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel, of which I was made a minister according to the gift of God's grace, which was given to me according to the working of his power. To me, the very least of all things, this grace was given to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ, and to bring to light what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God, who created all things. In order that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the Church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places, this was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him. Therefore, I ask you not to lose heart at my tribulations on your behalf, for they are your glory. Back to you, Max. WP7, visit out. All right, real good, Roger. Thank you for that reading. Great reading. Okay, any comments on this passage? Please come down to your call, please. Okay, okay, okay. Well, I'll take it first here, and then maybe Kevin will join us, and I hope some other people, WB7VZL. Yeah, Roger, WB7VZL, go ahead. Well, the first verse, he highlights his identity. He says, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you. And then he ends this section as reminding them, Don't lose heart because I'm in prison. Over. Copy that. And so Paul's circumstances were quite bad. He's in a Roman prison. And, of course, he's there for the sake of preaching the gospel. And we read in the book of Acts about his capture. when he was in Jerusalem, falsely accused of defiling the temple. And of course, he was rescued by the Roman army and charges were brought against him. The charges were patently false. Nevertheless, the Roman authorities decided to keep him in prison hoping that he would pay them a bribe to let them out. And of course he wasn't going to do that. And so he said he appealed to Caesar. So off he goes to Caesar. And now he's in Rome, in prison, waiting trial. And he doesn't just sit there and stare at the four walls. And while his condition was miserable, the charges were false. His life was under direct threat. What does he do? He sits down and he writes Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon. Those are the four prison epistles. And so Paul very clearly says here in chapter 3 and verse 1, he's in prison as he writes. And of course, knowing that was kind of discouraging to the Ephesian believers, and perhaps made them feel like, well, we better not speak up for Christ ourselves, because we might get thrown in prison. And so you're right, Roger, this statement in verse 13 was designed to encourage them. Wherefore I desire that you faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory. And so because Paul had these tribulations, we wound up with this wonderful book that we might not have had, were he not in these desperate circumstances. You know, Roger, I think about David, when he was having to flee from Saul, once again, Saul's accusations, right? He's hiding in this cave and that cave, and Saul's chasing him around and unjustly pursuing him. Well, a bunch of the Psalms were written during that time of great personal distress. And so I guess the lesson here for me, Roger, as I look at this, is that number one, great personal distress is there no sign God's unhappy with us. And number two, great personal distress is a time for opportunities, provides opportunities for unique ministries that we wouldn't have were we not in those circumstances. And number three, it provides opportunity for a degree of growth and closeness to God that we wouldn't have otherwise. And so Paul is saying to these folks, look, don't be upset over my upsetting circumstances. Rather, recognize that this is going to advance the cause of the kingdom. This is going to provide opportunities for ministry. This is going to result in great measures of personal growth for me and for you. And God's going to work it all together for good. And the eye of faith sees all of that and looks past the circumstances to the spiritual realities. And the encouragement that that provides us with in our own personal distresses and circumstances is enormous. We tend to look at the things that you're seeing. We tend to look at the pain, both emotionally and physically and spiritually. Let's look past those things to the promises and to the sovereign God who is working all these things together. for our good, his glory, the salvation and the preservation of his people. Back to you there, Roger. Thank you, Max. Yes, I'm putting myself in this place because it's really come close....experience with Autumn, spending here a few final days here, we're repairing her bicycle, but through these times of probation, she has felt... that she found confidence in Paul, for example, that people can make a call of it post-jail, post-trial, post-experience, and that really is her status. Probationary status has really inhibited her desire to go out there and beat the pavement and say, hi, I need a job. And then she feels either obligated to tell them up front that I'm on probation or, you know, that's very inhibiting. And what I find in this strategy is just the amazing willingness for Paul to come forth so frankly that this is his status. That is what his status is. And there have been ideas that, possibly Paul, was, had some background in being a slave in his past Jewish family. But boy, to just come out in front and say, you know, I'm behind bars right now. It is quite amazing, his forthrightness, his candidness, and actually turns it back at them and saying, this is God's will, this is a blessing for you, Olin. Yeah, well said, Roger. And you know, Paul could have thought, well, I'm in jail. I'm accused of crimes. Nobody's going to listen to me. And he could have just, you know, crawled back into a hole of self-pity and self-doubt. You know, and like you say, with Autumn, she's on probation. Well, who wants to hire somebody on probation? Paul's in jail. Who wants to read anything written by somebody who's in jail? And so, you know, what we've got to do is recognize that even though, you know, we're slandered and the world thinks poorly of us and they say bad things about us, and maybe we're in circumstances that make us look bad, you know, we've got to rise above that. We've got to keep pushing forward. We've got to keep serving Christ. We've got to keep speaking for him and let God worry about the perception that people have about us. If God wants to use us, even if we are in circumstances that appear to be less than commendable, God can use that. I think of Joseph being sold down into Egypt, and here he is a slave. And then he's in prison. And yet, through all of that, he continued to shine for Jesus. He continued to have a bold testimony of his faith in God. He continued to follow God, obey God, and serve God as best he could in whatever circumstances God put him in. And as a result of that, you know, great blessings flowed to him, to his family, and of course to us. Here we are, several thousand years later, still being blessed because Joseph didn't let his circumstances crush him. And Paul didn't let his circumstances crush him. And they just kept on serving Jesus in spite of severe negative providences. So whatever negative providences we have in our lives today, let's not make us full of self-pity or become quitters or withdraw. But let's just keep boldly going forward and speaking for Jesus. and triumphing over Satan's efforts to silence us, as his people cause aspersions to be cast on us in various ways. All right, great comments there, Roger. Thank you for that. All right, anybody else have any comments on this passage? Please come down to your call zone. Zedekson. Kevin, KB7, Zedekson, go ahead. KBS 7's Ed Extend. A very good discussion and good points brought out. You know, in many ways, the book of Ephesians' theme is Paul focuses on the unity of the church. And the first three chapters, it kind of unfolds the understanding and where we are positionally with Christ. and in fellowship in the church, and of course the latter three chapters on living that out in application of our lives as believers. But this text here, I think it's one of the most kind of important texts in many ways of our mission as a church. AND I EXPLAIN, HE DOES BEGIN AS HE'S A PRISONER IN CHRIST. AND PAUL WAS GIVEN A DIVINE APPOINTMENT BY GOD THROUGH HIS GRACE, AND PAUL RECOGNIZED THAT. AND THAT DIVINE APPOINTMENT HE HAS CONTINUED TO BE FAITHFUL WITH IN SHARING THE REVELATION OF GOD TO HIM AND THE OTHER APOSTLES TO THE LORD'S CHURCHES AS WE SEE HERE. And one of the things with churches, you know, we have the Great Commission, Matthew 28, you know, 18 through 20, and to go out and make disciples. But as churches grow, you know, they grow in size, they grow in complexity, hopefully they grow in maturity. as well spiritually. And I think that's part of the focus here that Paul is reminding them of, that the unity that we all are one in the cross. You know, he talked about the mystery, or one in the mystery revealed that we're all one in Christ, as he talked about and just touched on in the first chapter, verse 9. but also in the first chapter, verse 14, where all the walls, or 2.14, where all the walls and barriers were broken down in the temple, as we talked about yesterday, the veil being torn. And now all have access, are all equal in Christ. And, you know, he really opens that up in verse 6, where he reminds, and it's interesting in the Greek, it's a compound word, each of these that he identifies, together with fellow heirs, and we are together with as brothers, fellow members of the body. And we are together with fellow partakers of the promise. And, you know, as churches grow, sometimes we can be caught up with some of the trends or focus of the world, maybe in marketing, look at certain demographics, look at certain people groups. You know, maybe we should focus ministries more on the Gen X or the Gen Y or the Baby Boomers or maybe this ethnic group or that ethnic group. And we need to be very careful of that, so that might make good marketing. It's very bad theology because we all have access to God through Christ. and we need to keep that in mind and I was reminded just briefly of Gandhi who was as well known as a pacifist that in many ways challenged and brought down the colonialism of India and But one time he kind of became disheartened, as he reflects in, I think, in his autobiography, where I read an article about him, and where he had decided, and what he became disheartened about was the caste system that they had. You know, it was a very strict caste system. It still is there today. And if you better stay in your lane, you're better off. you know, marrying a foreigner than marrying outside someone below you as perceived in that caste system. And so he got curious about Christianity. So he decided, well, I'm going to go into a church and see what that's all about, into a Christian church. Well, I'm not sure which church he went into, but when he went in, the he, the usher met him and said, oh, well, let me seat you over here. And the first thing he thought is, oh, my, even Christianity has a caste system. Well, no, we don't. What a different experience he would have had if he would have come to a New Testament church. If he would have come to a good Baptist church where there's no You know, you can have an older young sitting together. You can have a beggar and a banker sitting together because we are all one in Christ. And as you talk about, you know, there's so many challenges and labels and paths that maybe some of the baggage that we come to Christ in. But you know what? If He's forgiving us, We all share as fellow heirs. We all share as members. We all share as fellow partakers in Christ. We are one in Christ. And as we go out and minister to others, we don't necessarily need the good to go out and have, missionary efforts around the world to all peoples, as talked about in Matthew 28. But also, let us not forget our neighbor. Let us not forget the one that maybe God puts in your path today that you have a chance to have a conversation with, because all that door is open, as Paul recognized. We are, our hope all is in Christ alone. Take you seven to that example. Yeah, thank you for that, Kevin. So now we'd like to acknowledge Dan, N6T, and I. Good morning, Dan. Good to have you with us. See you there on Half Moon Bay, SDR. Thanks for being there. Yeah, Kevin was emphasizing verse 6, that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs and of the same body and partakers of the promise in Christ by the gospel. And we've seen this big emphasis in Scripture. not only the book of Ephesians, but other books as well, the book of Galatians, that we just got done reading, how that ethnic distinction, racial distinction, economic distinction, distinctions in age or in sex, all of those distinctions fade into insignificance in the Church of Jesus Christ. And so we need to be open to anyone from any category, take them in, as not only objects of evangelism, but also fellow believers, once they make a profession of faith in Jesus. And so that there is no class system or, as Kevin mentioned, an India-attached system where, you know, you've got the untouchables and then, you know, you've got the others that are above that, a couple of ranks. And so it's really important for us to level all distinctions in our ministry and in our fellowship and in our outreach. They recognize that if someone falls into the category of being a human, they fall into the category of someone who we can reach with the gospel, and someone who, having received the gospel, we receive in the fellowship. as joint heirs with us in the grace of Christ. So, Kevin, thanks for emphasizing verse 6 there. All right, any other comments? Please come down to the call site. Take A6, okay. Yeah, take A6, okay. Go ahead, please. You know, this is really interesting. In verse 8, to me, the very least of all things, this grace is given to three student Gentiles, the other five of them, and it sounds to me like he is surprised that he was chosen for that in the message that says, this is my life's work, helping people understand and respond to the message. It came as a sheer gift to me, a real surprise. God handling all the details and last night crazy enough this is how God is we had a Bible study about this in a different passage that it let me move my frequency I'm sorry guys a different passage and God does not need your ability He needs your availability interesting so the decision we had It was about, we have doubts in our own selves about what God has asked us to do. And Paul, of course, sounds like he had the same doubts, but God said, "Do it anyway." And the bar line is, "What do you feel most unqualified for, but you know God's calling you to do it?" Another kind of a hidden message in here, over. Yeah, well said, Jeff, and thank you for bringing that out. God doesn't need our ability, He needs our availability. And once we're available, then He makes us able. ministers of the New Testament. It talks about that in 2 Corinthians chapter 3. God has made us to be able ministers of the New Covenant. And so it's humility, it's submission, it's a willingness to do whatever God asks me to do and say whatever God says in His Word without embarrassment and without equivocation. And you know, Jeff, I really love this verse 8. In the King James, it says this: "Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ." I know a missionary named Timothy Peet, he's dead now, but he went to Japan right after World War II, and he began what is now today the Tokyo Bible Church. A good friend of mine is a pastor at that church. Anyway, Timothy Peach came to preach to my church in Sacramento back in the '80s. And what was interesting about this guy is that he wrote a lot of letters. And he always signed them, "Less than the least of all saints, Timothy Peach." You know, oftentimes when we sign off our letters, we'll say, "Sincerely yours, Or we'll say, you know, God's blessings be on you, or whatever, and then we'll sign her name, right? Sometimes in the AM radio community we say 7-3, you know, WB7MAX, or whatever. But that was his byline. He always signed his letters with this phrase, less than the least of all things. Timothy Beach. And basically what he was saying is if he was lowering himself in relationship to God, he was lowering himself in relationship to his fellow believers, and he was esteeming everyone as being greater than himself. And this was no false humility. knew this guy quite well, and he was a genuinely, genuinely humble man, because he thought nothing of himself, and yet, he was used mightily of God in Japan to help establish the gospel in Tokyo after the war, and for decades thereafter, the Lord finally took him home. So, you know, where the focus needs to be is not on myself, I'm less than the least of all saints. The focus needs to be on the unsearchable riches of Christ, you know, the indescribable riches of Christ. And so we try to take ourselves out of the picture. We try to put Jesus into the picture, what he's accomplished, what he's achieved. And you're right. I mean, when you look at Paul, one time there was a place in the book of Acts in which it's like, Lord, you know how I persecuted your people. And God says, don't worry about that. You just go out and preach. I'll take care of whether people accept you or not. So that's the purpose you have to have, Jeff, is I'm nothing. Jesus is everything. I have no gift. He has unsearchable riches. I'm going to be faithful to the message. I'm going to be faithful to the mission. and God will fill in for my inadequacies with his adequacies and with his unsearchable riches. And so don't feel like I can't use you. Don't feel like you're not enough. Even if you're less than the least of all saints, God can use you in a mighty, mighty way. and that's just a great encouragement to me. Back to you there, Joe. Well, thank you, Max. And this causes us, because of who we think we are, this causes us great concern when God asks us to do something that we're not sure we're qualified. And what we talked about last night, great faith is not eliminating doubt. It's looking it in the face and telling it, I'm doing it anyway. Back 10 years ago, Max, I was asked to preach at Camp Pendleton down in Southern California to a bunch of brand new recruits, 17, 18-year-old kids. And they were in boot camp. And I was terrified. I really was. I went down there. I was not a public speaker at that point, and I am now. But it's interesting. And... So I was, right before I walked in the building, I'm thinking, Lord, I'm not qualified to do what you're about to ask me to do. But I did have quite a good story, a story about my cardiac arrest and all the different things that have happened to me. And when I stepped up there, Dr. Black took over, and I spoke for about an hour. I presented the Lord to these kids. There were 800 of them in there. And I said, guys, you can have this too. Here's what it's all about. All you have to do is step right into your heart. and it was a walk through a prayer. And if you decide that's what you want to do, fantastic. And max 200 of these kids stood up and accepted the Lord right before they went into battle. And I was absolutely shocked. They stood in a line behind each other, all around the front door, four wide, all of their battle buddies together. And I prayed with... all set to four of them for over an hour and uh our clients because they missed their dog they missed grandma they missed their mom and dad they want to go home all of this you know tears falling on their boots and and i was prepared for that and when i got to my car I couldn't even drive. I was so exhausted. It was just a really interesting experience. Well, guys, Jeff, step up to the plate. Let's do this. I don't give a rip what you think you're all about. We've got a message for you guys that comes from me. Step up to the plate and make it happen. Over. Amen. Well said, Jeff. What a great testimony. And that's the thing. We pour out ourselves in the work, and then God does with it as he sees fit. And, you know, it reminds me of that passage in Mark chapter 16, Jeff. where it says, and the apostles went everywhere preaching the word, the Lord working with them, confirming the word, with signs following. And so as they preached, God empowered that word and used it to transform people's lives, to bring them out of darkness into light, and to bring them to faith in Jesus. And yeah, ministry is exhausting because you're doing a work that is above and beyond any ability or strength you have. And so you're pouring out everything you've got, and then on top of that, God supplies a superabundant measure of power and grace and operation of the Spirit. And it is a glorious thing to be labored together with God. And that's what you were experiencing there. And what a privilege it is. to be used of God in that fashion. And when you are, you're like, God be the glory. This is something he did, I did. And it seems like the weaker the vessel, the more God gets the glory for what gets achieved there. So, Jeff, what a great testimony. Appreciate you sharing that. Great encouragement to everyone on this net who feels unable and inadequate. Well, guess what? You are unable and you are inadequate, but... You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. And that's something I depend upon every time this morning before the death. I pray God, you know, help me and all the people on the death today to be able to encourage each other in our fellowship and to grow in our understanding of the Word. and to be more like Jesus when we're done, and to be better equipped to serve and praise Him and worship You. And so this is why we pray, because we have this sense of inadequacy and inability, and that's the position we want to stand, because God gives grace to the humble. And it's precisely because you felt completely inadequate and unable that God then was able to use that humility to bring glory to Himself, just. Thank you for sharing that great illustration of what's going on in this passage. All right, any other comments by anybody on the net? Please come out if you're called, sir. Max, I also have a friend. Yeah, go ahead, John. In the same line, I got a phone call yesterday. My organization and another Christian organization, Cap Hamilton, has been trying for four years to build a chapel on that base. I don't exactly know what the chapels are all about there, but they only have very, very small chapels, very old buildings, not very well attended. We have proposed a 600-seat theater with childcare, with classrooms and everything. and we're raising money to build a pelvis on Camp Pendleton and have been really stoned on a lot by upper military folks who are up in the Pentagon. Yesterday, after a block up discussion over four years, we were asked by a very high-in-place chaplain in the military, on behalf of Camp Pendleton, they would like us to build three worship centers on their property in three different locations across 60 miles and to be operated by a non-profit which we will put together. So it will not be under the care of the military in any way, shape, or form. It will be operated by a civilian non-profit, just like when they have a McDonald's restaurant, for example, on a base somewhere. That's not... run by the military, that's run by a company. And like the Wild McDonnell House kind of a concept. So they're going to give us the property with a hundred year lease for a buck or whatever, and we will operate that. And so we got full permission to get started on that worship center, on the three worship centers. starting in the next two weeks. I answered a totally out of the blue phone call yesterday. Hey, Mitch, what an opportunity and an answer to prayer. You're not just getting one chapel, but three. That is amazing. Well, we will pray that God raises up the resources and the people and the organization to be able to not only construct those chapels, but then to staff them and to have vibrant. biblical worship services in each of them at those three locations across that huge military base so that the soldiers can have their spiritual needs met and hear the gospel. Jeff, that is wonderful news, and we'll certainly put that on the prayer list for that to come together and to come to fruition. That's a huge project. But God's able. And the soldiers need it, and praise the Lord for that. Thanks for sharing that, Jeff. All right, any other call miss anybody wants to make, please come down. ZXN. Kevin, there. Thank you for that relay. Kevin, KB7, ZXN, go ahead. KB7, ZXN, yeah, the man's kind of gone downhill on us, but that is such wonderful. Thanks for sharing that, Jeff, and great comments all the way around. You know, in the text here that we have, we see Paul identifying himself as a prisoner of Christ, but he also makes it to the point, it's for you. Here I am. a Jew, but my marching order is to share the mystery, the mystery of God with you, the secret that has been held, and open that up to you, the Lord's churches here. And in that, I think one of the two things that really come through is the unity of the church. that we are unified in Christ. There is not, because at this time, the Jews really looked down on anyone that was not Jew, on the Esthers, on the Gentiles. And as we know, even in their Mishnah, if they came across a Gentile woman delivering a baby, they were told, you don't even help out. that woman delivered that baby because you're just helping another Gentile dog come into this world. That's how strict, and for a while, and as we studied in Galatians, the Judaizers really tried to keep that separation and tried to keep that distinction separate. And it was like, well, there may just end up being a Gentile church and a Jewish church. But Jesus said no, and the apostles said no. This is not the mystery revealed, is that we are all to be unified in the Lord's church with no distinction of ethnicity. And any church that has prejudice or any church that does not have a heart for mission honestly is a failing church. And these are two key components, I think, that Paul brings out here. His number one, that door is open to all. A good, healthy church, you will see a mix of people, of ages, of ethnic groups, of what have you. And the love is shared. to all. And you will also see a church that has a heart to reach the lost, despite whatever demographic they are. And that comes through here, too. So, yeah, and praise God, Jeff, for the good news yesterday of the chapels and the opportunity for more of our boys to know the Lord and have a place to come and pray and worship Him. TV7, setting down. Yeah, Karen, thank you for making those wonderful points. The church is to be unified so the door is open to everyone and the gospel is extended to everyone. You know, verse 10 really summarizes the purpose of the church. Verse 10 says, For the church is to be a display case. for the wisdom of God in saving people, in uniting people, in transforming people into the image of Jesus, and in equipping people to go out and to spread the gospel and to build the kingdom. So the church here is the focus, the large work, the display case, if you will, of His wisdom, His glory, His message, and especially His son. So what a wonderful thing the church is, made up of very people, all with one purpose, and that is to preach the gospel and to praise the Lord. All right, we are out of time. It's time for us to go to prayer. Are there any final prayer requests before we go to prayer? Please come down to the call sign. All right, well, let's go to the Lord in prayer. Our kind and gracious Father, we thank you so much for this wonderful passage. for the example of all whose goings in prison continue to serve. With a joyful spirit, Father, thank you for this wonderful book that you wrote, and, Father, encourage us in our walk with our Lord Jesus Christ. Father, we just pray that you would help us to put away all ethnic, racial, class, economic, and creditors of any kind. And Father, to treat all people equally, to reach out to all people without distinction and without exception. Father, we pray that in our churches, where we run into all sorts of different folks, may we love each of them, irrespective of the unlikelihood that we would ever pick such folks in the regular world as our friends. And yet, we know, Father, that in Christ Jesus, we are all one body. And so, Father, we just pray for peace and unity in our churches and among our people. And Lord, we just ask that in our churches, the manifold wisdom of God might be put on display, both in the gospel and in all of the fruit that it produces. Father, that was your eternal purpose, for sending Jesus and saving us. And may that be what you see in our faith, in our walk, our witness, and help us to cling to the promises, Father. and not going to discourage by the circumstances that we're in. And now, Father, we just want to offer you some prayer requests today. Lord, we have needs that we can't meet, but you can. Lord, I want to pray for Kevin, KB7ZXN. Lord, we just want to return thanks to you for answering prayer for that safe journey down and back. Thank you that Ed and Ann are together now. And Lord, I just pray that your blessing would be on them and on their fellowship together today. Lord, we know that our brother Jeff, 86, okay, had an MRI on Sunday. He's going to go in today and get the diagnosis. Lord, I pray that not only would it be accurate, but there would be a way forward for Jeff to be relieved from his back pain. And Lord, he's got cataract surgery coming up, just like I do, Father. Just pray that that would go well. Father, we know that Jerry, Al KG-728's wife, also has it coming up. Lord, I just pray that you would restore the sight for all of us. Even though his eye has been a bit affected by cataracts. Lord, may the surgeries go well. And Lord, may we obtain a better sight than we had before. Lord, we continue to pray for Mark, W7UAR, and for Todd, who has a failing double lung transplant. Lord, he's got kids to raise. Have mercy on Todd. May he obtain another lung transplant, if that's your will. Lord, we just ask that he trusts you no matter what. Lord, we just continue to pray for our brother Jerry at KG6J. Lord, we thank you that he's gotten some relief from the pain in his back and hip with ibuprofen. But, Father, he needs a remedy. He needs a healer. And so, Lord, I just pray that whatever his health issues are and the life issues that he's struggling with, Lord, that you would meet those needs with your grace, with your power, with your goodness. And Father, may these things begin by you to lead him to that next step of growth in his walk with you. Father, we pray for Doc W6RLJ. Lord, he's got some serious, serious health issues. He's having a biopsy. Lord, whatever that's for, I pray that the results would come back as he wishes. Lord, that... there would not be any disease or any cancer or any problem. Father, just make that biopsy come back negative for health complications. Lord, we just ask for the dental clinic on DG to be established. Lord, remove governmental barriers and obstacles. And Lord, may that ministry witness and service go forward on the island of Tisha. Lord, we just want to pray today for Steve, 36, who was sacrificed by his father, Nathan Medina. Lord, continue to heal her of her upper back and neck pain. Father, I pray that she would bless her ministry at the Christen's Pregnancy Center. Lord, may she turn many girls away from abortion, from having their babies. And Lord, I just pray that you might cause life to grow out of death for children today. Lord, we continue to pray for Tisha and her needs delivered. Pray for her. We pray for her salvation. We pray for Will, QXY podcast witness to her. And Lord, we pray that she will come saving faith in Jesus and that her medical needs to be met. Lord, we continue to pray for Glenn KJ70MW. I had his wife, Nicole, support him of their chronic pain. Lord, during their later years, they have a number of health complications. Lord, I just pray that you give them peace in their bodies, a joy in Christ. and continued usefulness in worship and service for you. And Lord, may Barbara see her need of salvation. And Father, may she turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God. May she obtain an inheritance from all of us, who are sanctified by Satan in you. Lord, we just continue to praise our God in the week AL7KG. Lord, bless this business, bless this landscaping business. given wisdom in pursuing this book business may be wildly successful, Father, and may you be his fan, and he may be confident that we have to be really just on a thrill. As a report to our brothers, that's AK6OK, and the opportunity that we have to build three chapters on Camp Timothy. Father, it's going to require a massive amount of private capital. It's also going to require buildings. nonprofit organizations that will provide services daily in these chapters minister to the soldiers Lord I just pray that all the logistics and all the financial resources and all of the people that are needed would come together to make this thing flourish go forward with rapidity and Father, be a mighty tool in your hands to reach these young soldiers for Jesus Christ. Father, may there be a grand revival in our military, and Father, may hundreds of thousands of our soldiers come to save us today. Lord, protect us, we can save today. A battle in Iran and elsewhere in the world. and Father we pray that with rain, that these wars in Iran and Gaza and Ukraine and elsewhere Father that all be resolved and that hopefully we stop fighting with each other and start working together for the blessing of the people Lord over and over the things in Jesus' name. Amen. Alright, this is WB7MAX, Net Control for the West Coast Bible Study. We want to thank all the stations who checked in this morning, and those who stood by to give us a clear operating frequency. We'll be here in seven days a week at 6 a.m. in order to read the scriptures, understand their meaning, message, and application, and then pray for grace and mercy to be able to live out what we learned and then for God to meet the needs of those in our circle of fellowship. I'll be returning in frequency now to regular imagery use. This is W7NX. I'll be clear and standing by. Thank you, Max. Good job, AK6OK. Now you've gotten all pumped up. Well, praise the Lord, Jeff. You got me pumped up. I'm excited about your opportunity. So praise the Lord for that. You know, we're not able, but He's able. And, you know, we've got all things are possible, and that is our confidence. Over. Oh, absolutely. And we do not lose hope. I can tell you that. Because God's got plans that we can't even fathom. And I don't know how this is all going to happen. It doesn't matter. Let's put it together. Amen. Amen for that. Yeah, that's for sure. All right, real good, Jeff. Thank you for bringing that in. And we're going to get all trained and looking for God to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask for. Thanks, Homer. Absolutely. Absolutely. Thanks, Max. Good session today. AK6O, good evening. All right, Jeff. AK6O, K73 to you. WB7MAX, clear, Jeff. Standing by, anybody else want to talk about it? Where's the joke of the day? Well, the joke of the day isn't here because the joker of the day is not here. Ha! Beck, Alpha Alpha 5 Yankee did not check in this morning. I think he might be sleeping in again. They have a hard time getting sleep, and so when they can, they do. But anyway, Beck, Alpha Alpha 5 Yankee, are you out there? Alright, well, not hearing anything from Beck, so I guess we're gonna have to just starve for humor today unless somebody else has got one. If anybody else wants to give it a shot, go ahead. WB7VZL, you have time. Okay, WB7VZL, roger, go ahead. I'm not, uh, I guess I've never been born with a lot of humor. and I don't tell stories very well. In fact, I'm not a storyteller. But that's probably one of the downsides of my past, right? Some people just have that naturally. But what I wanted to say is that I could barely hear Kevin today was unusual. Usually that east-west path to eastern Idaho is much better. But today he was very strong. And I really didn't hear any strong hints about what he said. I put it together in my mind that he was referring to the Galatians episode about how his voice for the gospel reached the gospel, and he was addicted. And how that was resounded. And I kept thinking of how James, the brother of Jesus, was so, so gamed out on, so... He came down hard on any distinction in the local church with the rich and the poor, and without being his vice of church. And I really appreciated Kevin reminding me about how powerful that situation was with Peter. concerned about the Judaizers and what they would think. So I really, really was blessed to get to those stories together. And I, at any rate, thank you so much, Max, for the prayers and Jeff's opportunity. It is it is Overwhelming. But God, that's for sure. But the authority apparently is there to do it. But oh my, as you say, to make that happen, it's but God. Over. Yeah, amen. Well said. And Roger, that's the reason why I often repeat and summarize what people like Kevin say and others, because I know that some people can't hear them. And so it's not that I think they didn't say it right, it's just that I'm trying to make it possible for others to know even what was said because of the weakness of the signal. So that's why I repeat and summarize what folks say. But getting back to your comment, yes, James Chapter 2, Verses 1 to 9. I'm not going to read that, but he says, Have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. And so he says, if you have respect of persons, verse 9, you commit sin and are convinced of the law as transgressors. So, yeah, we have this theme of unity among the believers just, That's reading the New Testament. It's there in virtually every single book of the New Testament. All the epistles about the need for peace and unity between the believers, accepting one another in spite of the differences, and recognizing that we're all one single part of the body of Christ. So, yeah, and back to you, Jeff. Any comments? Go ahead. Well, I have the joke of the day. Yeah, okay, go ahead. President Lincoln was approached by a woman after a political speech. "If you were my husband, I'd poison your teeth." And Lincoln replied, "If you were my wife, I would drive you drinking." That was a great comeback. That's really funny. There we go, talk to you in a day Alright, WB7 in the X-Air, anybody want to chat? I'm standing by KG6J KG6J, Jerry, go ahead Um, I have something for Roger, WB7JL, if he can copy me Roger, WB7JL, do you copy Jerry, KG6J? Well, uh, Jerry's about like Jeff My pathway is really limited, so maybe Max you can help. But try it. Go ahead, Jerry. Well, I hope this is appropriate. I wanted to share encouragement for Autumn. That's your daughter, is that correct? Oh, I think you're talking about encouraging Autumn, all right? Roger, roger. Relay? I'll try and make it as compact as possible for you after that. fire. And the person behind the desk recognized my desire to make a new turn in my life and to make change. And I no longer do the 12-step program. I now know it was the Lord ordering my steps and putting me in the place where I was supposed to be. And I just had to show up. and I'm still working there today, 37 years later. I have a job in the back of the U.S. - All right, Jerry, good copy, good copy. Okay, so Autumn is not Roger's daughter. Autumn is just a woman. that Roger and Darlene are ministering to. Autumn is a little autistic. Autumn got in trouble with the police. She is on probation. And because she's on probation, she feels like no one wants to hire her. And Roger, WP7DZ on one cherry, a KG6J is saying is this. He's saying 37 years ago he walked into a business asking for a job. He told the truth. He said to them that he was fully 60 days clean and sober. The boss recognized his desire to change. The boss gave him a chance. And he's still working at that same place 37 years later. He's now working in the office. So he wanted to offer that encouragement to Autumn. And she just shows up and tells the truth. Employers have compassion, and especially on people who want to change their lives and who want to do better. And so tell Autumn, from Jerry, KG6J, his story, that he was only 60 days clean and sober. He walked in and got a job. And she walks in and says, "I'm on parole, and I want to change my life. I want to do better." Then God will solve. honor that and provide her with more. And he said that he was in a 12-step program, but he's not in that anymore. He recognizes it was the Lord that changed his life, and he's giving the credit and the glory to God. So that's the relay. Over to you, Roger, WP7VZL. Okay. Jerry? that is a marvelous story I love that story and I can see where you would just you would just desire to encourage her with that I think what is happening is and her desire to help the government, to actually support herself, get a job, and support herself by 30 years of marijuana, 30 years of marijuana parking, that has really modified her brain. She has lots of qualities, yes, fortunately, fortunately, It's, it's, it's got to take some time. We have, we have pretty well, uh, the support she needs from her, uh, she has, has the government who, uh, has support, which, uh, which, uh, is, uh, is dangerous and also maybe, when people stand in the street, they don't have the resources to go out. And so that's a big issue. But yeah, she is a complicated case. And her level of desire to be anonymous is over the top, I think. But at any rate, it's what she's going to. We're getting her back in shape. And we're going to put some holders on the bike, some capability of holding things on the bike. And then that's about as well. and she has found another place to take a belonging to and there again she is very clear that we're not going to find out you know she doesn't want anybody to know what he's special right now but at any rate but thank you jerry for your thoughts and your testimony and your testimony of victory what i love about what the lord has done through autumn is that she is She was so addicted to caffeine when she came here. And she has unloaded that to the thick of her brain. She has unloaded marijuana since we've known her. We used to see her smoke marijuana. And she has made some incredible strides as well through tremendous nutrition interest on her own part and having the kitchen available to her. So we've seen significant growth. And I praise the Lord for that. She's strong. And she's strong enough now to move into the next phase of her life, which we're not really capable of. You know, her grandparents are really not confident to raise children. And in this case, it's very similar. It's going to be done easily. I find this is a great opportunity to get a little bit of a sense of what the report on her. It takes a little while for the grains to clear. But of course the Lord will help us clear that as well. So look forward to hearing how she's reporting and I will have her on my prayer list. All right, we're ready to go.
