### Bible Study Summary: Galatians 4:21-31

#### Introduction and Participants

Our Bible study today was a gathering of a diverse group of individuals, including Jeff (AK6OK), Keith (K7NEB), Brian (KJ7PWM), and many others, with Roger (WB7MAX) serving as the Net Control. Each participant brought a unique perspective and a set of prayer requests, ranging from medical needs to personal salvation. This study centered on Galatians 4:21-31, a passage that contrasts the Old Covenant with the New Covenant, emphasizing the transition from bondage to freedom and the importance of faith in Jesus Christ.

#### Text and Theme

Paul uses an allegory in Galatians 4:21-31 to illustrate the difference between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant. The allegory involves Hagar and Sarah, representing the Old and New Covenants, respectively. Hagar, the bondwoman, represents the Old Covenant, which is characterized by human effort and works. In contrast, Sarah, the free woman, represents the New Covenant, which is based on divine promise and grace. The children of these two women, Ishmael and Isaac, further illustrate this contrast. Ishmael, born of human effort and flesh, represents those who rely on their own works for salvation. Isaac, born of divine promise, represents those who receive salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

Paul also draws a parallel between earthly Jerusalem, which represents bondage and the Old Covenant, and heavenly Jerusalem, which represents freedom and the New Covenant. This distinction underscores the idea that salvation is not achieved through adherence to the Old Covenant but through faith in Jesus Christ. The passage also touches on the theme of persecution, suggesting that those who adhere to the Old Covenant may persecute those who embrace the New Covenant.

#### Discussion Points

1. **Genesis 17:4-7**: This passage highlights Abraham's covenant with God and the promise of many nations. This promise is a precursor to the New Covenant, emphasizing God's commitment to His people through faith and promise rather than works.

2. **Old Covenant vs. New Covenant**: The Old Covenant, represented by Hagar and Ishmael, is characterized by human effort and works. It includes the Ten Commandments, which serve as moral guidance but do not provide salvation. In contrast, the New Covenant, represented by Sarah and Isaac, is based on divine promise and grace. Salvation is achieved through faith in Jesus Christ, not through human effort or adherence to the Old Covenant.

3. **Legalism vs. Grace**: Legalism, which emphasizes strict adherence to rules and regulations, does not bring joy or salvation. Grace, on the other hand, is a gift from God that brings freedom and joy. The study encourages believers to focus on Jesus' performance, not their own, emphasizing that salvation is a gift of grace, not a result of human effort.

4. **Living by Grace**: The study emphasizes the importance of living by grace, recognizing that our salvation is based on faith in Jesus Christ. This perspective frees us from the burden of trying to earn salvation through our own works and instead allows us to live in the freedom and joy that comes from trusting in God's grace.

#### Prayer Requests and Closing Prayer

The group shared several prayer requests, including healing from various medical conditions, peace and strength for personal events, and salvation for individuals. The closing prayer focused on grace, salvation, and healing for those in need. Special mention was made of Tony's need for strength for his grandson's wedding, and thanks were given for the study and prayers, with anticipation for tomorrow's gathering.

#### Discussion Questions

1. How does the allegory of Hagar and Sarah help us understand the transition from the Old Covenant to the New Covenant?
2. In what ways can we recognize and avoid legalism in our lives, and how can we embrace grace instead?
3. How does the contrast between earthly and heavenly Jerusalem help us understand the difference between bondage and freedom in our faith?
4. How can we support and encourage those who are facing persecution for their faith in Jesus Christ?
5. In what ways can we live by grace, recognizing that our salvation is a gift from God and not a result of our own works?

This study encourages us to reflect on the significance of faith in Jesus Christ and the freedom that comes with living by grace. As we continue to grow in our faith, let us remember to pray for one another and seek to live in the joy and freedom that comes from trusting in God's grace.

Is she about halfway through that regime now? Yeah, I'd say not quite up to 50%, but yeah, getting close. Yeah, real good. Glad to hear that. That's wonderful. Okay, all right, we'll continue to pray for you and Daylene. Okay, any other check-ins this morning, please come out. Alright, we've just got a few seconds to go before we get started. Any last minute check-ins for the West Coast Bible Study, please come down to your call sign. Any relays? Once Jesus came, the Old Covenant was replaced with the New Covenant. And Paul draws out that change and that contrast with an extended allegory or illustration or metaphor, if you will, of the two sons of Abraham. And we're going to be reading about those two sons, Ishmael and Isaac. and their two mothers, Sarah and Hagar, and two cities, Jerusalem which is on the earth, and Jerusalem which is above. So, kind of a complicated argument here, but as we follow it through, I think it will become pretty clear to us. And the whole idea is that the New Covenant is way superior to the Old Covenant, because the New Covenant, of course, is the fulfillment of the Abrahamic Covenant, And the new covenant is the replacement for the old covenant. All right, that's where we're at, but we want to open in prayer before we get started. And so I'd like to ask Ed in 6XOH. Ed, if you would open in prayer for us today, I'd sure appreciate that. Go ahead. Sure. Let us pray. Dear Heavenly Father, we just come to you this morning. God's mind is going another way here, Lord. Our Bible study this morning, give us clarity and understanding. Help us all to be able to gain a blessing from the study this morning. This has to be with Pastor Max as he brings us the bread of life and that as he presents this study this morning. I want you over each and every one of us, Lord. Amen. Thank you so much for that. Roger, WB7VZL, if you would read for us today, you've got a good strong signal, a good clear voice, everybody can hear you on both SDRs. So if you could read for us, Roger, Galatians 4, 21 to 31, that's 21 through the end of the chapter there, Roger, please go ahead. WB7VZL reading from the New American Standard Bible verse 21 tell me you who want to be under the law do you not listen to the law for it is written that Abraham had two sons one by the bondwoman and one by the free woman. But the son by the bondwoman was born according to the flesh, and the son by the free woman through the promise. This is allegorically speaking, for these women are two covenants, 1 Proceeding from Mount Sinai, bearing children who are to be slaves, she is Hagar. 2 Now this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to the present Jerusalem; for she is in slavery with her children. But the Jerusalem above is free; she is our mother. For it is written, Rejoice, barren woman, who does not bear! Break forth and shout, you who are not in labor! For more are the children of the desolate than of the one who has a husband. And you, brethren, like Isaac, are children of promise; but as at that time he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, so it is now also. But what does the scripture say? Yeah. And of course the historical background has to do with Abraham and his relationship with Hagar and his relationship with Sarah and the two children that were born of those two Of course, Ishmael was born of Hagar, who was a slave woman. And Isaac was born of Sarah, who was a free woman, his wife. And that whole story is in Genesis chapter 15 through Genesis chapter 21. That's Genesis 15 through Genesis 21. And we don't certainly have time to go back and read all of that. Well, it certainly is, Roger. And of course, in the story, we see that Abraham was promised by God that he and Sarah would have a son. Well, about ten years passed and there was no son. And so Sarah came up with a bright idea, "Well, my handmaiden, my slave, my Egyptian servant Hagar, you can go and have sex with her. She'll have a baby, and we'll consider it my baby." which was a crazy plan, it was a wrong plan, sinful plan even. But Abraham consented and of course he went into Hagar, she conceived and had a baby, and that baby was Ishmael. But that didn't go well. And so... Anyway, that is the background here as to what's going on. Hagar began to despise her mistress, Sarah, because she could have a baby and Sarah couldn't, so she felt superior and kind of lorded it over her. And that resulted in, ultimately, Hagar and Ishmael being cast out. control the discussion here, but we've got to follow the illustration through. So what we have here is we have two women. We have Sarah and we have Hagar. And we have two children. We have Isaac of Sarah and Ishmael of Then you have Sarah, who was a free woman. She was the wife of Abraham. And she had a son, Isaac. And of course, Isaac received all the promises. He received the blessings of the Abrahamic covenant. They were all transferred to him. And of course, he corresponds to the Jerusalem which is above. And that heavenly Jerusalem is spoken of explicitly in the book of Hebrews. at times parables are hard to follow and this is why the Bible is written as it has been because the Lord makes it real clear that everybody who hears this has a good reasonably come out with their own interpretation of what it means and I do struggle with that a bit but good job yeah thank you Jeff appreciate that parables require a certain ability to understand illustrations, and then of course how those illustrations are to be interpreted and applied. And so Jeff, appreciate that. Glad I was able to provide some clarity. And certainly this is an interesting way of teaching. You know, word pictures are powerful, Jeff. And that's, I think, one reason, there's several reasons why Jesus used parables so much. But the visual image really sticks in your mind. And, you know, Revelation uses a lot of visual symbolic images. And the parables are using visual symbolic images as well. And we do this quite a bit in our communication. We really don't even realize it. And so these things put a picture in our mind which sometimes sticks better and makes the truth more clear than just a verbal image. instruction regarding the matter. Alright, real good, Jeff. Any other comments, please come now. WB7V, is that it? I don't know. Roger, please go ahead. Well, Max, I'm so blessed that you highlighted the Jerusalem, the true Jerusalem, and that's where Jesus is. And I believe Paul, by this wonderful... It's a mind twister. We are so blessed. terra firma oriented, even in our theology. But the key, and I think the Reformation really highlighted this, that Luther's church that he was trying to reform was so earthly centered, and it was also so... And the church was warring against that because it was, as Luther says, a business. And so we have this wonderful illustration where the flesh is in conflict with the promise, the gospel. I guess that's all I can do right now. Max, is that all right over there? Yeah, that's really good, and thank you for that. You know, it's one of those things where we have to try to wrap our brain around spiritual concepts that are being expressed in physical descriptions, and that's what Paul is doing for us here. So, Roger, great comment. Thank you for that. The net would like to acknowledge Eric, KD7ES. They're in Salem, Oregon. Good morning, Eric. See you there on the SDR. Also, we've got Gene, K7GWR, Gene, see you there on Utah, and Bruce, K4VCL. Bruce, thank you for being there. Really appreciate you, brother, there on Utah. So we've got some people joining us, and Bruce says good morning to all, so thank you for that, Bruce. Appreciate you being there. Okay, back to our Bible study. Any comment on any particular verse there in our section, please come down. I saw you. I saw you. Go ahead. Sam, I, I, forgive me if I'm getting way off track here, but thinking about what's being said to us here, these verses concerning this covenant that God has made with Abraham and what's going on with Ishmael and his, his, his, his, and with Isaac and his family. I ran into a, yeah. Genesis 17:4-7. I wonder if I might just read that quickly. Yeah, go ahead. I shall start with verse 3 in Genesis 17. "And Abraham fell on his face." God talks with "As for me, the whole of my covenant is with you. You shall be the father of a multitude of nations. No longer shall your name be called Abram; your name shall be called Abraham, for I will make you the father of a multitude of nations, and I will make you exceedingly I will make nations of you, and kings shall come forth from you. I will establish my covenant between thee and you and your descendants after you, throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant. be God to you and to your descendants after you. So I realize that's going way back into that Abrahamic covenant and Genesis 15 through 21, I think it's going to be an excellent read for me. It's been a long time. Just thinking about this Galatians text here, where are we? Now that Jesus has come, and we are born of Jesus, the Gentiles, which is all the nations that are not Jews, are now incorporated into the Abrahamic covenant and are children of Abraham by faith in Jesus, as it says in Galatians 3.29. So we are the continuation of the Abrahamic covenant and the people who are identified in it and with it. and who received the blessings that it contains. And so that's the reason why we say the church is the continuation of Israel, because it's the ultimate fulfillment and expansion of that promise in the Abrahamic covenant that Abraham would be the father of many nations, not just one, and that it would incorporate all people and not just the Jews. And so here we are, sitting here in 2026 in America. And who are we as believers? Well, Galatians 3.29 says you're all the seed of Abraham by faith in Jesus. And so we are the inheritors of those blessings of the Abrahamic covenant. Why would we ever go back to the Old Covenant and embrace that when we have the superior blessings of the Abrahamic Covenant given to us and fulfilled in our Lord Jesus, who was the fulfillment of the Abrahamic Covenant? He was the seed. He provided the blessing, which is salvation, and he provides us with the land. which is the new heavens and the new earth. So that's the flow and the continuation, and we are of Sarah, we are of Ishmael, we are of the heavenly Jerusalem. And to go back to... to Ishmael, to go back to Hagar and to Ishmael and the old Jerusalem sitting there on that piece of soil. How foolish and how short-sighted. And what a poverty it is to abandon the riches of the new covenant for the bondage of the old covenant. So Steve, thank you for bringing in that passage. And of course, that's all part of what Paul is arguing here in Galatians chapter 4. which results in bondage, which is represented by Hagar. Okay? And then, of course, the new covenant is represented by Sarah and by Isaac. All right. Great comment, Steve. Any other comments, please come now. Does that make sense? argument through chapter 3 and chapter 4. And here is another example of that. This is basically, he's contrasting human effort versus the promise of God. And which are you going to trust? Are you going to trust human effort, like Hagar and think you have to or that you even have the ability and can intercede in God's plans to fulfill His promise no, His promise will be fulfilled by God And so, yes, we're talking about different covenants here. But as he goes back through this theological argument and here to this point, he's saying, if you really understand the law, and most of you are familiar with this portion of the Abrahamic story, that there was a, you know. There was a son born of Hagar, Ishmael, and there was the promised son of God through Sarah, Isaac. And even here, we see, depending on human effort, is a failure. right out of the gate. If you don't understand that the law will not save you, understand trusting human effort will not save you. And, yeah, I, you know, we certainly see that there's some eternal components to the promise of Abraham. And we see a lot of that fulfilled with ethnic Israel there. But, you know, under the new covenant, salvation is opened up to the world. In fact, the Lord has called us. but that's not going to contribute to your salvation. That's not going to... That's how you know when you favor for salvation. Salvation is by God's grace because of what Jesus did accomplish on the cross, by our faith and trusting in His promise that He, by His word... says you are saved, that your sins have been forgiven, and sin no more. And so, and I love, as we go into the next chapter, there's a pivotal point here, especially in verse one of the next chapter, we'll get to probably tomorrow, where he opens, it's like the hinge, that here he concludes the theological argument, but now in living, in life, how do we live? Well, we live in that same freedom that he's talking about here theologically, KB7, Zedekin. Yeah, the real contrast here, as you said, Kevin, is between freedom and bondage. And the Old Covenant represents bondage, and the New Covenant represents freedom. The Old Covenant was perform or perish. The New Covenant is believe and be justified. And so what a contrast between those two systems. And all of us know that, that are honest with our conscience. We're running out of time. I want to make a comment here on verse 29 and 30 and 31. Notice verse 29. It says, But as then he that was born after the flesh, that's Ishmael, persecuted him that was born after the spirit, that's Isaac. Even so it is now. And so this is an explanation of why the Jews are persecuting the Christians in the context of the writing of the book of Galatians. And we see that tremendous persecution of the Jews against the Christians throughout the New Testament. And of course these Judaizers were coming into the church of Galatia and they were attempting to persecute and bring back into bondage the Galatian believers. So mark it down, the people who are unsaved are always going to be attacking and persecuting the people who are saved. And of course this refers back to when... Ishmael was 14 years old and Isaac was circumcised and Ishmael was mocking Isaac. And that was when Hagar and Ishmael got kicked out and rejected. And that's what the next verse says, verse 30, "Nevertheless, when Sam the scripture cast out the bondwoman and her son..." So as you recall from the story back in Genesis that Hagar and Ishmael, when he was 14 years old, were sent away. because the Old Covenant will not be air alongside the New Covenant is the idea here. So while the Old Covenant was brought in alongside the Abrahamic Covenant 430 years later and was there for about 1,500 years alongside it, once the New Covenant comes, Just like Hagar and Ishmael were cast out of Abraham's house, in the same way the Old Covenant is cast out, and it doesn't exist alongside the New Covenant. And then, of course, verse 31, So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, that is, we're not the children of the Old Covenant, but of the free woman. were children of the new covenant, which Hagar and Nixera represented those different covenants, as did their sons, as did the cities that are on earth and that are in heaven. All right, other comments on this passage, please come down. Presenting advocate B7VZL. Roger, WB7VZL, go ahead. Yeah, I think maybe Kevin was there as well. Thank you, Kevin, for your perspective for sure. The only way that we can keep the laws is through the Holy Spirit writing the law in our hearts. And we will not even know we're keeping the law, so to speak, because it will be a changed, rebirthed nature. That's the only way to do it. And we don't do it. And, you know, Steve brought up this Chapter 17. of Genesis, which is a tremendous background. And to kind of fulfill, since we're talking about the promise that God, the angel of the Lord said to her in chapter 16 of Genesis, it's a powerful prediction of the enmity between the covenant of the flesh and the spirit, or the promise. And it predicts that this enmity will be kind of the spiritual epigenetics, I should say, maybe more like the relational epigenetics of Ishmael, just like Finally, they had to cast him out of the house. And in verse 12 of Genesis 16, because the Lord has given heed to your affliction, of course, having mercy on Hagar, he will be, meaning Ishmael, a wild donkey of a man. His hand will be against everyone, and everyone's hand will be against him. And what an epigenetic story we have as we trace the history of the world. WB7VZL. Yeah, Roger, that's a big discussion. I think you're correct. But yeah, we've got a class of category of people who descend from Ishmael who are constantly at war with all around them, and all around them constantly at war with them. Whereas Christianity is a religion of peace, and it's one that wants to be peaceable with its neighbors, wants to bring the gospel and the blessings of salvation to them. rather than to subjugate them and destroy them. So well said there, Roger. And, you know, I want to talk for a minute about the law. You know, what you have in the Old Covenant is you have the ceremonial law, you have the civil law, and you have the moral law. The ceremonial law is all the sacrifices of priesthood. And then of course you have the civil law, which had to do with all the penalties for violation of the law, people who commit the death for gathering sticks on the Sabbath, etc. And then of course you have the moral law, which was the Ten Commandments. And all of those condemned us because we could keep none of those. And so Christ came, He fulfilled it all perfectly, And then He provided redemption and forgiveness from our sins by His death on the cross. His perfect obedience was imputed to us. So that's the whole ground of our justification. Now, in our sanctification, we're now free from condemnation. We're free from the condemning power of the Ten Commandments. But we're not free from the moral obligation. to obey those Ten Commandments as an expression of love to our Lord Jesus, as a witness to the lost, and as a means of bringing glory to God. So there's still lots of reasons to obey the Ten Commandments. They're still there. They're still binding. They're still in force. We're free from their condemning power, but we're not free from their moral guidance. And so we keep the commandments because we love Jesus. We love righteousness. We love to be a witness to the lost by living consistently with what we claim we believe. Our God is a holy God, and so we want to reflect that to the lost. And also there's tremendous blessings that come from obeying the Ten Commandments. I don't know anybody who's worse off. because they obeyed the Ten Commandments. They're always better off. And so it brings huge blessings into our lives. So we're free from this condemning power. We're free from the old covenant and the old covenant arrangements and sacrifices and temple and civil laws. We're free from the condemning power of all of that. But now we're free to follow the Lord Jesus. So, all right, any final comments? Please come down. ZXN. ZXN, go ahead there, Kevin. KB7, ZXN. Well, and that's, you know, some very good points there. And, Roger, I really appreciate your comments, too, there. Because, you know, all false religion is based on human effort. And that's what really distinguishes Christianity and the grace of God from all religion. And even here we see, you know, the mistake made by Abraham. with Ishmael, as he points out. It was human effort. That's an important principle to remember. But also the law is not going to save us. And even under the law, it's the promise of God that is fulfilled in Christ. And it's, you know, This isn't really ultimately what Paul is warning about here with these Judaizers. It's not Jesus plus the law. The Lord works. We have the blessing of the Holy Spirit. We're sanctified through the Holy Spirit. Paul really goes into this in the coming chapters here. The work of the Holy Spirit in us as Jews. believers as those children of God. But, you know, legalists, it's really hard to find. I don't think I've ever seen a happy legalist. I don't remember reading about any happy Pharisees in the Bible. You know, legalism does not bring joy. But Paul talks about the joy of being a child of God. about the salvation that we receive, the gift of grace. And there should be joy as a believer, even through the suffering, as he talked about. There is a joy in sharing the good news. There is a joy in living for Christ. You will not find that and never be connected with legalism. So that's a really strong principle that Paul's teaching here. Not by your effort, not by the law. And don't think your efforts are going to win favor with God for your salvation. It's all in Christ fulfilled. KB7, is that accepted? Yeah, well said, Kevin. You know, living by grace brings joy. Living by performance brings either despair or it brings self-righteous, self-importance. But it never produces a balanced, peaceful joy. So I completely agree with you, Kevin. Thank you for bringing that out. All right, we are out of time. It is time for us to go to prayer. And anyway, the net would like to acknowledge Dave, KE7WKI. Good morning, Dave and Clarice. Good to have you guys with us. Appreciate you being there on the net. of the fact that we are not under the old covenant, we're under the new. We're not relating to you based on works and performance. We're now relating to you based on grace through faith in Jesus and his performance. And so our focus is not on how well we've done, but on how well Jesus has done. And Lord, all of our trust is in him and in his ability to save us. We cannot save ourselves, but thank you that Jesus saves. all those who call upon him. As it says in Romans 10, 13, for those who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. We do call upon Jesus to save us, but we do trust him, Father, for our redemption, our forgiveness, our righteousness, and that he will present us before you in that great day of judgment. Father, thank you that we can know that we have eternal life because our faith is in him and not in ourselves. Lord, we just want to pray today for the needs of our group. Lord, we thank you for Jerry, Al's 872H's wife, Lord, who continues to need healing from her cataract surgery. Lord, and she's going back on the 15th to have the other eye done. And Lord, we just pray for clarity of vision, sharpness of focus, and complete healing with no injuries or side effects or negativities attached to that. Lord, have mercy on Jerry and Alan as they go to the doctor today. For the fallen father, may it all be good news. And Lord, that the Lord Jesus healed many blind people. In fact, one guy, he even rubbed some mud in his eyes and healed him. And so, Lord, we just pray that Jesus would have mercy on Mike and bring healing there. Father, we pray for our brother Tony, AJ6PD, Lord, who's in a wheelchair. Lord, we just pray that the peace that passes all understanding would fill his heart and mind. We pray, Lord, that you would meet his medical needs. And, Lord, we pray also that you would meet the needs for the prayer request that he offered that I wasn't able to understand properly or clearly due to the band condition. And, Lord, I just pray that whatever the needs are in Tony's life and in the life of his family and friends, Father, look upon that. You know what those needs are. And, Lord, we pray that you would be pleased to meet those needs. Father, we just want to continue to pray for our brother Brian, K7BIP, and his friend Jay, who is receiving chemo for prostate cancer. Lord, I just pray that you would heal Susan's thyroid gland. Our brother, Glenn, KJ7-ELW, is talking about miracles. Lord, we need a miracle here. We're asking that her thyroid gland would be restored to health and that she would not have to have it removed. Father, we pray for George's son, Tommy, that he would be able to obtain housing. Lord, we just thank you for that. And Lord, our brother Keith, K7-NEB, he has a friend. who has been married 40 years and the husband walked out, says he's going to find himself for some ridiculous thing. Lord, I pray that you bring him under conviction of sin. I pray that you cause him to return to his wife. And Lord, whatever problems are there, and I'm not saying he's the whole problem, but whatever problems each of them have, may they both repent, May they both turn to Jesus and may they both renew and reinforce those marriage vows that they made to each other 40 years ago. Father, we just continue to pray for our dear sister Sandy WSNCB. And Lord, we pray for healing from her lip surgery. Lord, have mercy on her and may she know freedom from pain and full mobility. Lord, we just want to continue to pray for our brother Brian Cage at MPWM that as the lambing season winds up here, that all of his sheep would be healthy, that they would all survive. Lord, we know he lost one, but Lord, may the rest make it. And Lord, may he know your blessings. on his farming efforts there. Father, we just continue to pray for our brother Doc, W6RLJ, who reaches out with medical ministry to the people of Fiji. And Lord, we pray that the dental clinic would be allowed to open and operate free from any government interference or restriction, so that they can minister to the medical needs of the people there, and so that we can see them brought to saving faith in Jesus. And then Lord, Daryl, WB7AOT, and his healing from his urology issues. Lord, these two men have gone through real trauma in this area of their bodies. And Lord, may they know a peace, healing, and restoration of all of the functions that are needful for them to operate normally. Lord, we just continue to pray for Zilli, Cody, KI7TRS' niece, and Lord, for her salvation, that she would not go off the deep end and do something foolish and stupid that will affect her for a lifetime. Lord, humble her and bring her to salvation. Lord, we just want to pray for our brother Keith, WB7RKR, Lord, that you would give him encouragement, that you would give him peace. that you would give him wisdom and direction and strength in caring for his wife, Ronnie, who has Alzheimer's. Lord, just please have mercy and cause Ronnie to be able to function normally and properly and with grace. Lord, we pray for Lisa Medina, that you would heal her of her upper back and neck pain. Lord, she's returned to part-time work at the Crisis Pregnancy Center. May her pain not hinder her ability to lead young women to keeping their babies. Lord, we continue to pray for Tisha and her need for a liver transplant and for her salvation. Lord, I beg you, I just have UMW and his wife Vicki in chronic pain. the ability to get good job training so he can support his family. Lord, we continue to pray for J.R., W6LBP's friend Gary, W6GLB. Lord, thank you for the good news that the immunotherapy seems to be whacking his stage 4 cancer. Lord, may he know complete healing. And thank you for the good improvement that he's had. And then, Lord, our brother Mike, W7TWO, his sister Barbara desperately needs salvation. The Lord has just asked that you would be pleased to convict her of sin, that you would break the hardness of heart, that you would cause her to seek Jesus as her Lord and Savior and immerse herself in the Word of God and manifest all the fruits of being born again. And now, Lord, we just want to thank you for your goodness and your mercy and your grace to each one of us. Thank you for the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ. Father, may we walk in the light as you are in the light. And may the blood of your Son, Jesus Christ, continue to cleanse us from all sin. And Father, we look forward to that wonderful day when we're in the Jerusalem, which is above, where we'll all be gathered around the frozen. and be rejoicing together, holy and without blemish before you. In Jesus' name we ask it. Amen. All right, this is WB7MX, that controls the West Coast Public Study. I want to thank all the stations who checked in this morning, as well as those who stood by to give us a clear operating frequency. Um, We meet here seven days a week at 6:00 a.m. in order to read the scriptures, understand their meaning message and application, and then pray for grace and mercy to live out what we learned and for God to meet the needs of those that are in our circle of fellowship. I'll be returning this frequency now to regular amateur use. This is WB7MX and I'll be clear and standing by. YSI. YSI. Steve, go ahead. Max, a few battle here. The gentleman in the wheelchair, when they called in for prayer requests, I know what his request was specifically for himself. He's got a grandson that's getting married, I think he said this coming Sunday. And he was hoping that he would have the strength, he'd be able to get out of his wheelchair and proceed down the walkway with his grandson. At least that's my understanding. I'm sorry that I failed to have that on W6YSI. Steve, W6YSI, thank you for that. All right, let's pray for Tony. Father, just pray for Tony and this marriage that his grandson is having this Sunday. And, Lord, I just pray that you give Tony strength to get up out of his wheelchair to be able to fully participate in the ceremony there. And, Lord, just cause Tony, AJ6PD, to be able to have strength in his legs and his body during this joyous occasion. and be able to participate in the ceremony in the way in which he desires. Lord, we just ask this in Jesus' name. Amen. Steve, thank you for that relay. Appreciate that. And Tony, AJ6PD, once again, please email me at my address in QRZ. My email address there will hook up to my phone, and I'll be able to connect with you better that way when the band is poor. Alright Steve, thank you so much for that relay Alright, WB7MX is standing by Where's this morning's joke? Well, where's Beck, Alpha Alpha 5Y, I don't think he checked in today Okay, well I've got one for you Alright, go ahead there He may have heard this before. Anyway, Sunday didn't say he didn't know. So Sunday comes up, he goes to church, and an old cowboy is the only one that shows up. And he looks out there at the cowboy and he says, "Sir," and he says, "This is my first sermon, and I hope it's okay for you." The cowboy said, "Pastor, when I feed the cows and only one shows up, I still feed her." And so Pastor said, "Let's go." And preached for an hour and a half. You know, there have been times when I preached for 30 minutes, and there's been times when I preached for an hour and 10 minutes. And it depends upon the nature of the subject. It depends upon the nature of the audience. And it depends upon, you know, what they're expecting. And so you've got to be sensitive about that. And, you know, my attitude has always been send them away wishing they had more instead of send them away wishing they had less. You know, and it also depends upon the giftedness of the preacher. I mean, there are certain preachers that will preach for an hour, and you're just spellbound, right? And you go, what, it's over already? You know? And there's other preachers after 30 minutes you've heard enough because it's just a bunch of repetition and a bunch of – to a church there in around chapter 20 or something like that to the point that you just fell asleep and fell out the window. You remember that. And they had to go down and raise them from the dead. I heard a pastor say once, unless you can raise people from the dead, you shouldn't be preaching all night. Ha, ha, ha. by everybody that I'm talking to right now, and almost 20 over 9, so thanks for the study this morning, everybody, and prayers, and look forward to tomorrow, W6YSI. All right, C-10-6Y-5-7-3-D-U-L-K-J-7-K-Q-H, go ahead.
