#### Bible Study: 2 Corinthians 10:7-18
The Bible study focused on 2 Corinthians 10:7-18, where Paul defends his apostolic authority against false teachers. He emphasizes the consistency between his letters and his presence, highlighting the importance of faithfulness in ministry. The passage also discusses the concept of spheres of influence, where Paul asserts that his work is his own and not to boast in another's labor. The core message of the Gospel remains unchanged regardless of circumstances, and Paul underscores that true approval comes from God, not self-commendation.

#### Themes and Discussion Points
1. **False Teachers**: The passage addresses accusations and attacks from false teachers. The group discussed how to recognize and respond to false teachings, emphasizing the importance of consistency between one's words and actions.

2. **Missionary vs. Settler**: There was a discussion on the tension between pioneers and settlers in ministry. The group explored how to balance the need for expansion with the importance of nurturing and sustaining existing communities.

3. **Sphere of Influence**: The concept of spheres of influence was discussed, focusing on how individuals can grow and expand their influence within their own spheres without stepping on others' toes. The group reflected on how to maintain a sense of purpose and faithfulness in ministry.

4. **Spiritual Warfare**: The group discussed the importance of recognizing and fighting against false teachings and attacks. They emphasized the need for prayer and reliance on God’s strength in spiritual battles.

We're going to the Tri-Cities for after-surgery consult as to the future today, about 3:00. Alright, well that's good to know. Okay, so that's Roger, WB7VZL, and his wife, Daylene, are going to the Tri-Cities today to hear from the physician that did the second surgery on Daylene for cancer. and they're going to see what he has to say about not only what happened but what the future holds as far as treatment options, what needs to be done and what could be done and where the road ahead lies. So I appreciate that, Roger, and I appreciate you letting us know. We will pray for you and Darlene and the doctor for the three of you to have wisdom about what the way forward is. Over. Thank you very much. We appreciate that, guys. Thank you. All right, that's Roger, WB7VZL. All right, it's about time for us to get started. Do we have any more check-ins? Please come down. All right, well, Roger, I'm going to ask you to read in a minute, so you might get ready for that. That's 2 Corinthians 10, 7 to 18, 2 Corinthians 10, 7 to the end of the chapter there. So what's happening in this section is that Paul is having, as we have said so many times, to defend himself against the slanderous false teachers that have arrived at Corinth and who are attacking his ministerial credentials and credibility. And so he, in chapter 10, describes the attack. And then in chapters 11 to 13, he repudiates the attack. So, you know, we need to be aware of having a false modesty, okay? We all want to be humble, right? We all want to be modest and self-effacing and not talk about ourselves. And that's a good attitude. But there are times, there are times when we have to stand up and say, look, here's who I am, here's my credentials, here's my competence, here's my accomplishment, and I am a legitimate Christian, I have a legitimate Christian ministry, and these accusations that are being made against me are wrong and false, okay? It's not pride to do that when you are under attack, and it is necessary to repudiate that attack in order to preserve the credibility of the messenger and the message so that the gospel is not abandoned and cast away. because false accusations and slanders are allowed to stand without answering. Now, it takes a lot of wisdom to know when to stand up and when to just be quiet. You know, one of the old Puritans said once, he says, When people throw mud at you, beware of wiping it off lest you wipe it all over you. And, you know, that piece of wisdom has stood me in good stead many times. I have responded to slanders with just silence. We see Jesus doing that at his trial. When the Jews were accusing him, he just kept quiet. And Pilate says, what's the deal here? Aren't you going to answer these accusations and silence? You know, he wouldn't dignify their accusations with a response. So there's a time and place to just ignore it, because by addressing it, you're only amplifying it. On the other hand, there are times when it has already been amplified and everybody is aware and it's already a big public deal. And so then there comes a time where you've got to stand up and defend yourself, state the truth, and show that your accusers are serving Satan because he's the father of lies and they're telling lies. Now, when you just let it go and when you stand up and defend yourself, man, does that ever take wisdom? So that's what Paul is dealing with here, and that's why he's talking so much about himself and his ministry and what he accomplished, what his credentials and capabilities are, and what God has achieved through him. Now, some of his self-defense is unique to him because he is an apostle. Okay? So we need to recognize that he has to defend not only his credentials as a man of God and as a minister of God, but above and beyond that, as an apostle. So there's that element as well. So we have some rather complicated arguments here, and we have an extended argument, and that's the reason for the argument. So hopefully that will help clarify this next section that we're going into. So that's what we're facing here, and we're starting out with Roger reading to us. But before Roger reads, we want to open in prayer. And so, Ed, N6XLH, could you please open in prayer for us today? Sure, let's pray. Dear Heavenly Father, we just come to you this morning. We ask that you bless our Bible study this morning that edifies everyone here. Lord, that your words penetrate our hearts and that we understand the things that we're trying to learn. That you guide us through this day, that you watch over each and every one of us here, Lord. Just ask that you bless Pastor Mack as he leads out in the study this morning and give him wisdom and guidance. Lord, just watch over each and every one of us. Help us all be ready when you come to take us home. I pray in Jesus' name. Amen. N-6-X-O-H. Amen, Ed. Real good. Thank you so much for that prayer. All right, we're going to ask Roger WB7BZL to read for us. Roger, if you could read 2 Corinthians 10, verses 7 through 18, that's 7 to the end of the chapter there, Roger. Thank you, Max, for introducing this rather complicating experience. And it is a challenge to read it as well. And we're not reading, of course, a translation that is known for its smoothness, but for its strict adherence. if far as possible, with a Greek word for an English word as best as they can. This is WB7 of EZL, reading, starting with verse 7, and we'll be going to the end of the chapter. You are looking at things as they are outwardly. If anyone is confident in himself that he is Christ's, let him consider this again within himself, that just as he is Christ's, so also are we. For even if I should boast somewhat further about our authority, which the Lord gave for building you up and not for destroying you, I shall not be put to shame. For I do not wish to seem as if I would terrify you by my letters. For they say his letters are weighty and strong, but his personal presence is unimpressive, and his speech contemptible. Let such a person consider this, that what we are in word by letters when absent, such persons we are also indeed when present. For we are not bold to class or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves; but when they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are without understanding. But we will not boast beyond our measure. but within the measure of the sphere which God apportioned to us as a measure, to reach even as far as you. For we are not overextending ourselves as if we did not reach to you, for we were the first to come even as far as you in the gospel of Christ. not boasting beyond our measure, that is, in other man's labors, but with the hope that as your faith grows, we shall be within our sphere enlarged even more by you, so as to preach the gospel even to the regions beyond you, and not to boast in what has been accomplished in the sphere of another." But he who boasts, let him boast in the Lord. For not he who commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends. This is WB7VZO. Back to you, Max. Roger, you did an excellent job of reading that. I appreciate the way you handled the words and the phrases there so carefully and so well to help bring out the meaning. Since Paul is rather emotional here, he doesn't write in the smoothest possible way. We know that when everything's calm, we can speak very orderly. We really see him doing that in the book of Romans. But here, he's arguing for his reputation. He's hurt by the way these people have attacked him. And he's being vigorous in the way in which he's defending himself. And so that doesn't make for the smoothest sentences, but nevertheless, the meaning is quite clear. So Roger, excellent reading. Thank you for that. All right, any comments on this section, please come down to the call sign. KK7PDI. Okay, David, KK7PDI, please go ahead. I really appreciate how Paul addresses it in this letter here and this chapter we're reading because he's showing, unlike the world, the world is not the same. says, do as I say, not as I do. And Paul is showing he's not of that hypocritical type attitude. He's showing that you need to do what you say. And that's a characteristic of a Christian. If you say you're going to do something, then follow through, number one. Do what you say. And this is what he's saying. When I'm there present with you, and I'm going to say the same thing that I wrote to you. It reminds me of the passage in Matthew 5 in verse 37. But let your yes be yes and your no be no. For whatever is more than these, these is from evil. And so just let your yes be yes and no be no. Maybe they're not good. You need to just do what you say and say what you do. Kilo Kilo 7, Papa Delta India, back to you, Max. Yeah, real good, David, and I completely agree with that and with your analysis. You know, we need to be the same people when we're with folks. as we are when we're away from those same folk. And that was the accusation here. Oh, Paul, he's over there, you know, in Asia, and he's writing these letters. But when he gets here, he'll change his tune, he'll change his tone, he'll change his position, because really he lives in the fear of man is what's implied behind these accusations that are lodged against him. And, you know, we see the same thing with, like, keyboard warriors, right, where they would say some really harsh and nasty things when they can hide behind the anonymity of the Internet. But if they were ever face-to-face with the person they're talking to, they would never talk to them like that. Well, that's kind of a negative example of what's being accused here. They're saying, yeah, Paul writes these letters like 1 Corinthians, you know, where he's all authoritative and he's all – you know, saying you need to do this and do that. But when he shows up, the guy can't even talk. And he's physically weak. And, of course, Paul said in 1 Corinthians, he says, I'm not eloquent. I'm determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. So, yeah, well said. David, we need to be the same person when we're with folks, when we're apart from them. And if we say we're going to do something, then when we show up, we need to do it and be people of our word. And so Paul is saying in verse 11, let such a one thing exist, that such as we are in word by letters... when we are absent. Such will we be also indeed when we are present. And so Paul is claiming consistency. That's what David is exhorting us to is stand to it and be consistent. Appreciate that, David. All right. Other comments, please come down. Roger, please go ahead. I sense that there is a kind of a classic recognized tension between pioneers and settlers. And those that come through and those that are the home to the ones that are lifers or the ones that are indigenous. Now, I'm not saying Corinth was that way because it was a huge motion, motion going I mean, the whole isthmus is there between ports. It was a tremendous migration of people. So I don't know the people that were the settlers, so to speak. But Paul is, at his heart, a missionary. And he's got a pastor's heart that just is unbelievably huge. But he, I think a deeper heart for him is to accomplish the mission of sharing the gospel, as he says in this segment, with those that are further west, further beyond Corinth. So this tension between a pioneer and a settler and their mentality is It's just, I often kind of summarize tensions in both government as well as sociologically, and then also with church life between those of the guard that live in the church and the pastor that is here now and will be moved on, so to speak. Over. Yeah, you know, you bring up a really interesting point. And I think what we see here is Paul is an evangelist. And what that means is that he would go into an area where the gospel had never been preached. We call them missionaries in our day. But a biblical evangelist or missionary, whatever term you prefer, would go into an area that never heard the gospel. They would preach the gospel. People would get saved. They would form them into a local church. They would give them foundational teaching, and then they would leave and go on to the next unreached mission field and leave behind all these churches. Well, other folks would come along, step into those churches, and then try to have an influence on them, claim them to be their own, and actually take credit for establishing the church and molding it into their own image. And that's what's going on here. Verses 15 and 16, these false teachers were claiming credit for work that was done by others. And these false apostles made it their practice to follow in Paul's footsteps, to sneak into the churches he had established, undermine his teaching, and then claim the work as their own. So that's the dynamic that was taking place here. And you can see that in verses 15 and 16. He says, we don't boast of things without our measure, that is, of other men's labors. But he says, we preach, verse 16, the gospel in the regions beyond you so that we don't boast in another man's line of things that have been made ready to our hand. So Paul did the hard work, and then somebody else comes in and steps in and takes over the work that's been established and claims it as their own. So getting back to your analogy, Roger, about pioneers, and settlers, Paul was a pioneer. He went out and charted new territories, established new churches. And then people came along behind him and instead of honoring what he did, respecting what he did and giving credit to him for what he did and continuing what he did, like Apollos did and like Peter did. These guys were trying to subvert what he did, change the doctrine, and the way they had to do that was by discrediting Paul. So I appreciate that analogy there. I may not have echoed exactly what you were trying to say, but it just triggered my thoughts about this passage, Roger, and I want to give you a chance to respond. Roger, go ahead. Yeah, the element that you highlighted in 15 and 16 is so true because of the rest of the New Testament. We have the Galatian heresy. The Judaizers were constantly following Paul. who were opposed to the gospel itself. They couldn't take the idea. First of all, Paul's big, hairy, audacious goal spiritually was to have Jews and Gentiles one in the Lord Jesus. That in itself was a huge... concept that many Jews couldn't swallow, and they thought it was anti-Moses, and they were bound and determined to destroy Paul's work. Over. Yeah, copy that, copy that. All right, good, Roger. Okay, any other comments on the passage? Please come down. Mark was trying to get in there earlier, Max. Thank you for that, Scott. N7NP. All right, Mark. KJ7PVT, please come ahead. Yeah, Max. Did I say my name? Yeah, yeah. The comment, Mark. Oh yeah, okay, well, as an engineer I see things in geometry, and as I'm listening to Paul here, reading it, but as I'm listening to Paul, he's talking about a sphere of influence, and he's comparing what he has with those which are the spheres of influence of other people, and the pressure came into my mind, because that's what happens to people all the time. So guys, as you stand, let's look at the very beginning. As you stand in your place, and you're standing, you're standing in Christ, and you look down, and you look to the Lord in your feet. And that's the circle that you know about Jesus, that you're standing in Christ. And that circle is kind of small, that you know very well, but you know enough. And that is where you stand. As you grow, that circle grows with your understanding, with your relationship with God, with how the Spirit is moving you along on your course towards a better understanding of your relationship with God, and along at some point in time, the Lord starts. directing you into a ministry, and it begins to grow. And if you look down at that circle, that circle doesn't grow in the same dimensions all at the same time, so it's more like it pokes out here, and it pokes out there, and it pokes out a little bit. in other directions, and pretty soon those things, the whole thing starts to grow. And that's kind of where we are as individual Christians when we meet other Christians. We're meeting people that are in their spirit, where they're at with the relationship with Jesus. And sometimes those don't match up all the time. And the thing that sounds quite smart is that we all learn how to do this. what I would call a circle of an answer to each other, so that we can be one as you and the Father are one. He wants us to be that way, so that's part of our challenge, I think. That's what I'm getting out of this, KD7CBD. Yeah, Mark, thank you for that comment. I was able to copy you on the Utah SDR. I appreciate that. And, Scott, thank you for letting me know he was there. I hadn't heard him. All right, Mark's talking about spheres of influence. When we start out as a brand-new Christian, we have virtually no sphere of influence, and as we grow... In our maturity and in the exercise and development of our spiritual gifts, our sphere of influence expands. And what we're talking about here, what Paul's talking about in 2 Corinthians chapter 10, is his sphere of influence versus the sphere of influence that these false teachers have. And so he talks about the measure of our work. Now, we all know that faithful men sometimes have a very small sphere of influence because of a variety of circumstances. But if you're an apostle, okay, and that's the distinction I made in my opening monologue. If you're an apostle, a real apostle... You're going to have a gigantic sphere of influence, or you're not an apostle. Apostles didn't go hide out and have itty-bitty church in a backwater town. These were worldwide ministries that ranged across continents and spread the gospel rapidly in those first hundred years. And so we see them in major areas having a major impact. And what Paul's saying here is look at my sphere of influence compared to your sphere of influence. And he's saying, you know, I have reached out here. I've reached out there. I've reached out all these places. I've had all this impact. That should say something. about the credibility of my claim to being an apostle. And so he says in verse 16, I'm going to preach the gospel in the regions beyond you so I don't brag or boast in another man's line of work and then claim it as being my own. So, you know, we all have a sphere of influence. Sometimes it's larger, sometimes it's smaller. You know, we think of guys today like R.C. Sproul or John MacArthur or Billy Graham, to speak of three men who are now dead but who had huge spheres of influence. And then there's others who maybe they just faithfully pastored a church. in a rural town for 30 or 40 years. And, you know, they had their sphere of influence as well. Both groups of men were equally faithful, but some had a much larger sphere of influence than did others. And so, Mark, you know, I think one of the things we need to do is we need to try to expand our sphere of influence so we can do more for the Lord. But God is the one who opens doors, and God is the one who shuts doors. And sometimes God will put someone in a large place, and sometimes they'll be in a more constricted space. And so we each have that sphere of influence if we're being faithful that God has designed for us. And in that sphere of influence, we need to exercise faithfulness and zeal and diligence and hard work so that we can be used as much as possible within the constraints of the providences of God in our gifts and our situation. Good comment, Mark. Thank you for that. All right, other comments, please come down. PDI follow up. A PDI follow up? Go ahead, David. Yeah, Max. What I'm looking at here, too, I'm going to use a Scott analogy. And that is, when you look at a storm, a terrible storm, there's chaos, there's uncertainty, and you're always looking for an anchor someplace to keep you out of the dangers of that storm. And what Paul is bringing here by saying what he is in word, he's also in deed, that is such a strong characteristic. And it identifies, most importantly, a steadfastness. And that's what people are attracted to. In this world, they see the storm about them every day. And they want to be part of a steadfast faith that is there. It says what it does, and it does what it says. And then they have this calmness that comes across, and that's what they see in you. The world's looking for hope. And if we don't display that, if we're being hypocritical in our faith, if they see you one day and then they see you another day, and they're two completely different people, because you are what you see in the front of others, those that are of the light-precious faith, you have one faith. And then when you're out in the world, you have a second faith. And that is not the way that Paul is addressing this. He's saying, be who you are in Christ, and your accommodation comes from him. We're to be giving the glory to him and then living as we preach that we are. It's amazing, Max. I get invited to a new congregation to preach. And when I go to a new congregation, I've never been there, visited with these brethren, and I go there, I tell you, I give them all four barrels. I give them everything the Word teaches, as I do where I preach normally. And I think that's important. Be consistent, and that is an attractive trait in Christ. Jesus would have us to do that. Peter, Peter 7, Papa Delta, India. Back to you, Max. Yep, we need to be the same people in every situation and not let the situation shape us, but rather the Word of God shapes us and we are consistent in our preaching. Thank you for that, David. Appreciate that. All right, other comments on the passage? Please come down. : : : Just taking us all in and really good comments, and then trying to look at it. What does this look like with Scott? 25 years in organized church pastoring. In some ways, that was really, really difficult. What's the word I wanna use? just pastoring the church family, the congregation, in all different ways, you know, whether it's teaching junior high kids or high school kids or married couples or whatever, all up and down the spectrum. And then God takes me out of that. That's kind of like you're talking about inside and outside, Max. Well, then he takes me out to the outside. Well, here I have a larger influence because of who I am and my life experiences. And I'm speaking to the unchurched now, that I cannot compromise the message. But to engage in conversation, to bring them in, in such a way that you can have these conversations. And then with that, it's a building block. I have many people I'm engaged with at this very moment. I'm thinking of a woodcutter up in eastern Washington that I've been engaged with for two years now. just talking spiritual things and trying to guide him. You know, at one point he wanted to cash in his retirement and buy a wood mill. And you have to sit down and say, okay, well, what's gonna happen with this, Max? You know, you have your wife and your children to think about, is the return going to be there? And this all intertwines with spiritual things because you're grooming dads and fathers and husbands, and this gets a little complicated, and the ministry through the Fellowship of Christian Writers is complicated. complicated because it yeah I spend a lot of time out here on the tree farm but I'm engaged with people around the world and it's a different ministry Max but the core message has to be the same yeah Scott well said the core message has to be the same to be sure In different circumstances, we're going to function differently based on the environment we're in. Paul talked about, you know, when I'm with the Jews, you know, I act like a Jew. And when I'm with the Gentiles, I act like a Gentile. But he says at the core of all of that, where you're adapting in areas of culture and in areas of preference, the Gospel remains rock solid. It never changes. And so there has to be this flexibility with reference to circumstances and this inflexibility with reference to the message. And so Scott, I think that you are out there saying permanent principles into changing situations. And, you know, the advice you gave to that guy, as far as what the wisdom of God might be here and the biblical principles, you know, you might say something different to somebody who's in a different circumstance and counsel them to go a different direction. So that's kind of well said. You know, we've got solid principles that never change. We've got constantly changing circumstances, people with all sorts of backgrounds and needs and abilities. And it just requires a lot of wisdom as to how to fit those permanent, unchangeable principles into the unique circumstance in objects of ministry where we find ourselves. Okay, other comments, please come now. *train noise* I'd like for us to focus on verse 18. You know, Paul, he's got confidence in his conversion and his calling. And you know, in verses 7 through 11, he says, if you think you belong to Christ, recognize we belong to Christ. We're saved folks. And he says that really clearly there in verse 7. And then he talks about his consistency of character and how that he's the same person, whether he's away or whether he's present. But then, you know, he kind of switches here. And in verses 12 to 18, he confronts his critics. And these critics are bragging on themselves. And look at the big ministry we have. And Paul says, oh, he says, you want to talk about the size of ministry? Here, let me talk about the size of my ministry, number one. And number two, let me point out that your ministry isn't as big as you think it is because you've really just taken over somebody else's work. And so there is this comparison. And Paul says, I'm not going to compare myself with you. You're not the standard. I compare myself with the calling that God has given to me and with the work that he's given me to do, and that stands. as a monument, as to what God has done in me, what God has done through me, what God has done with me. And so he's comparing himself, not with others, but with his calling and with the faithfulness that he has demonstrated in the sphere of influence God has given to him. But when he's all done with that, he goes back to this bedrock principle in verse 18. And the bedrock principle is this, not he that commends himself is approved, but he whom the Lord commends. So here's these folk teachers commending themselves. Here's Paul talking about what he genuinely accomplished and thereby commending himself as a true apostle and a true preacher of God's word to the Corinthians. And yet, he doesn't stop there. He goes right back to that bedrock principle in verse 18, not he who commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends. And we will find out only on the day of judgment what God thinks of all of this. You know, what does God think of Scott in 7 MPA? What does God think of Roger, WB7BZL? What does he think of Max, WB7MX? And I can go through the list. right? And we all have these perceptions about who's who and who's accomplished what. And in the end, God is the only one who can really measure that. And, you know, those who build with wood, hay, and stubble may build gigantic works, humanly speaking. And those who build with gold and silver and precious stones may build quite small works, humanly speaking. But in the end, it's not going to be the size of the work. It's going to be the quality of the work. Now, if you have a huge work of high quality, that's wonderful. If you have a small work of high quality, that's great. If you have a huge work of poor quality, it means nothing. And so the question is, are we doing our work with the wisdom of God? That's the gold, silver, and precious stones. Or are we doing it with the wisdom of the world? That's the wood, hay, and the stubble. And so what Paul is doing here is he's basically saying these guys are building... with worldly wisdom and self-importance, and I'm building with God's Word, God's will, God's wisdom, for the glory of God. And that's the contrast between true ministers of the gospel and these fake false ministers who were trying to assault and undermine the Church of Corinth. And you know, this is all part of spiritual warfare that we go through. when we're doing ministry, is Satan always has his wolves in sheep's clothing in there trying to tear stuff up, and trying to tear you up, and trying to tear down the work in the people of God. So it's a battle, and we need to recognize that these kind of battles are normal, and we have to fight the good fight of faith, we have to endure hardness as good soldiers. because these are the kinds of things that we all have to deal with as we have our sphere of influence, especially as we expand it, like Mark KJ7PBT was saying. We're going to bump into people who don't like the work of God and try to substitute the work of the devil for it. All right, any final comments before we go to prayer? Please come down. Scott, you had a follow-up. Scott, N7MP, you had a follow-up. Go ahead. Well, yeah, I kind of messed it up there, Max. When we had dinner, I was just sharing with the group that you said what I was wanting to say in such a brilliant way. I was just, you know, you have a talent, Max, that is second to none, and I just really appreciate how you can articulate... message out of somebody that really struggles in articulating. I just give God the glory that you're here leading this, man. All right, Scott, real good. Thank you for that. Okay, we are out of time. It's time for us to pray. Are there any final prayer requests? That was George K2KJX. This is WB7MAX, Net Control for the West Coast Bible Study. Just got a prayer request from Brian KJ7PWM. He said he listened to most of the net on mobile, FDR in bed. He thinks he has a nasty flu or a cold. Maybe he turned the corner last night. So let's pray for Brian, KJ7PWM. Father, just have mercy on Brian. And Lord, we pray that you would heal him of his cold or flu or whatever it is. Father, he's got things he needs to do. Pray that you'd heal his body. Have mercy on him, Father. Strengthen him and raise him up so that he can carry out his responsibilities well and healthy. In Jesus' name, amen. We meet here seven days a week at 6 a.m. in order to read the scriptures, understand their meaning message and application, and then to pray for grace and mercy from God to be able to live out what we have learned, and then for God to meet the needs of those that are in our circle of fellowship. I'll be returning the frequency now to regular imagery use. This is WB7MAX. I'll be clear and standing by. Hello again, Max. AK6OK. Hi, Jeff. AK6OK. You're coming through good. How you doing, brother? Good. Good, good. Back out of the car and back to my office. I've got another prayer request for tomorrow and today. The ship USS Triple E, the aircraft carrier that we put the chapel on, has been turned around from Japan and they're on the way to the Middle East. And I just want to pray for all of our friends on that ship. Over. Copy that, copy that, yep. So Jeff, AK6OK and his group Operation Worship was involved in installing a chapel on the USS Tripoli for the soldiers to worship in. That ship is now on its way to the Middle East to join in the war with Iran. So let's pray for the soldiers on the USS Tripoli that they will have safety and success in defeating the enemy and in accomplishing the protection of our nation and its interests. Jeff, thank you for that. Back to you there, Jeff. All right, Max. Thank you, and thanks to everybody for your continued prayers for my trip going back east and so forth. And we are just blessed. Over. Copy that, yeah. So you're going to be going back on March 26th for meetings with people in ministries to obtain funding for Operation Worship. And we need money for Bibles. We need money for chapel installations on ships. So we're just going to pray that God uses us. that trip to open financial blessing for your ministry and for your needs. So we got that on the list. We've been praying about that constantly. We will continue to do that, Jeff, and know that our hearts are all wrapped up in your ministry and in reaching soldiers with the gospel. So appreciate, Jeff, you doing that. None of us have that open door, but you do, and we want to link arms with you and partner with you in doing that work. Over. Thank you. Well, everybody here is a major partner in this already, and we will continue to be the spokes guy for that because we're all involved in it. Over. Amen. We're all conduits for God's blessing, aren't we? So praise the Lord for that. All right, Jeff, AK6OK, good talking to you. Anybody else want to make a comment here or jump in, please? We're now at the call sign. All right. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. K2KJX? George, K2KJX, go ahead. Yeah, I understand what, um, um, yeah, the 186-OK is, uh, going through to try to get a chapel on the ship. Uh, we have, uh, since I was in the Navy, uh, when I joined in 1981, uh, we have come, uh, really far away from, uh, the ability to just talk about Jesus. And, um, I, I just thank him so much that he's involved with this. I think there was 180 guys on there with the frigate and I think three Navy were believers, some were squirrely like me, but three of them were believers and it's really tough to be on a ship alone and not have any good fellowship over. Yeah, copy that. Jeff AK6OK, George K2KJX is a clear Navy. And he was just saying that he really appreciates what you're doing with those chapels because he was on a frigate and there was only like three believers on it and it was really tough. So we really need to pray for our soldiers, our guys in the Navy too, that God would bring into their sphere of activity other believers. so that they can have some fellowship, because it's tough to be locked into a ship where there are no other believers. That's a really tough situation. So you need to pray for core believers on every ship. Back to you there, Jeff, AK6OK. Yes, I did not copy him, but thanks for the relay. And if you would relay back to him that one good thing about the Tripoli, we initially left 500 Bibles on that ship. Of course, there's a couple thousand Marines and Navy guys on there. But they've asked for more, and we shipped another 500 before they departed. So there's 1,000 Bibles on that ship right now. Over. Copy that. Copy that. So George, K2KJX, Jeff, AK6OK is saying that on the Tripoli, they put 500 Bibles on there. That's the aircraft carrier, so a big ship. And those have all been used up. They put another 500 on there. and before they went to the Middle East. So anyway, George, it would really be nice for you and Jeff to get together and talk about the challenges of being Christians in the Navy. So George, K2KJX, Jeff at K62K is not able to read your transmissions. I did relay to him. and appreciates your service and understands the struggle of the Navy people that you go through. Over to you, George, K2JJX. Yeah, Roger, Roger. I was on five or six ships, all the same percentages, really low percentage of believers. We did have a couple. chaplains with us who were in the Navy. My best friend from here, Calico, who has been moved to Nebraska, he's over in Washington, D.C. as a chaplain with the National Guard. And he's kind of a -- he's a great guy. He wrote a book also on Revelation also. I'm finished reading news and I'm talking to you, Max, but I just appreciate the men that are willing to step up for the service members. Most of them are running away from home or running away from jail or running away from something. And they're lonely and all they need is somebody to just take them under their arm, put their arm around them and just give them this. the Bible through the Lord Jesus is. Yeah, real good, George. K2KGX. Yeah, George is talking about the fact that, you know, there's tremendous spiritual needs in the Navy. A lot of kids that are in the Navy are running away from something. and they need a rock on which to build their lives. And so it's really a wonderful time in the lives of these young men and women to be able to turn them to the gospel because they've left behind a life. They're starting a new life. Maybe they don't have any foundation and they're looking for one. And I can't tell you how many men that I know that have come to faith in Christ when they went into the military. So what a fertile mission field. And George, really appreciate you talking to us about the chaplains and their faithfulness, and also just about the fact that you've been on several different ships. So anyway, George, you're starting to fade on me. I am picking you up on the Utah SDR now. But I think the band is starting to disappear on us. So, George, K2KJX, thanks for your thoughts on military service. Thanks for the service you engaged in, and thanks for the witness that you had when you were there. And let's just continue to pray for Jeff AK6OK and his ongoing ministry for the work of the Lord. Back to you there, Jeff AK6OK. Okay, thanks both you guys, and we'll continue on pressing on. And this trip I'm taking back is really critical for the success of this program. God will make it happen one way or another, whether it's on this trip or not, but I'm very confident we're going to be in hot shape here, and there's no time like right now in the middle of war. This just drives the military people to God. Over. Amen. Yep. There's nothing like war to drive people to the Lord. So good for you, Jeff. I will certainly pray for that mission and that ministry. All right. Anybody else have any comments? I want to jump in here. Please come down to your call sign. WB7BCL. Okay. I think we had a double there, but I got Roger. WB7BCL. Go ahead, Roger. Yes. I do want to underline what you just said about George. coming in that really provided that wonderful layer of bed behind Jeff's ministry. It was a wonderful testimony. Thank you, George. And thank you, Jeff, for that need so beautifully expressed this morning. WB730, we'll look forward to tomorrow. Roger, WBSNVZL73. All right, along with Roger, there was another station, another station, come forward. Yeah, N7MPA. George, I'm just going to share with you that you can connect to Jeff's repeater system through All Star, and if you have a pencil and paper, that's convenient. His number is 470-543, 470-543. You can dial that up and talk to Jeff anytime. Roger, roger. Thanks. You betcha. 7 MPA. Scott, thank you for that. Thanks for hooking up George and Jeff. That's wonderful. Okay, any other comments, please come down with your call sign. Yeah, Max, when are you going to get on a whole car like the rest of us? Well, you know, I don't even know the first thing about All Star, but I'm sure that Scott can mentor me with reference to that. But yeah, I am not even remotely aware of the first step on how to deal with that particular communication modality. So when I get back New Jersey this time, maybe we'll have some time to deal with that. I am actually leaving tomorrow morning. We'll start the net, run the net, and Scott, I'm going to have to check out at 6:30. So what I'm going to do is turn the net over to you at 6:30 tomorrow morning because I've got to get up to the airport to catch my flight, and so I'll need you to close in prayer for me, or I guess it may be David's turn. It's my turn to close in prayer tomorrow, right? And I can't hang around that long. So David, KK7PDI, it would be his turn after me, so let's just move him up into that slot and have David, KK7PDI, close in prayer tomorrow. Scott, N7NPA, copy all? Yeah, copy. Satan's put an overburden of doubt on me that I can fly this plane in the way that the plane feels accustomed to. But I'll be a-tapping of many a people to sit in the passenger seat with me as we look out the windshield towards our Savior. Yeah, copy that. I will email our prayer request list over to David, KK7 PDI. I don't know if he's listening, but in any event, I will email him and let him know so you can tap on him to close in prayer tomorrow. And like I said, I'll do check-ins and I'll open the net and I'll run it for a little while and then I'm going to step out. So Scott, you'll do fine. Everybody is just great on this net and all you need to do is just run traffic and make sure that nobody walks on top of anybody else and that's about all there is to it. So you're going to do great. Okay, WB7MAX here. Anybody else want to comment? Give me your call sign. Max, are you going to take the Maestro with you? Jeff, AK6 OK. I'm going to try. Yes, and so I will take it with me. We'll see how it goes. You know, are you talking on it right now? Are you just on 100 watts right now, Jeff? That's permanent, I am. Okay, well, you know, you come through really well. I don't know how well you reach up into Montana and Idaho and those places with 100 watts, but I'm going to take it with me and I'll see how it goes. And we'll try to see if I can run the net maybe on Thursday and Friday and Monday. Sunday I absolutely won't be able to do it, okay, for sure. But I should be available -- see back there where I'm at, it would be 9:00 in the morning because they're three hours different. So I will hook it up. I have no idea, Jeff, what kind of Internet connection I'm going to have there in the motel. So we're just going to have to fly by the seat of our pants. and have Scott ready to run it. And if I can run it, I will. But if I don't have a good Internet connection or something intervenes, then I won't. So we'll give it a try and see what happens. So that's what we're going to do there. Jeff, over. Sounds fantastic. And now always remember that you can use your iPhone or a cell phone or an iPad or something like that also. There's apps, SDR apps for that as well if you didn't want to take the Maestro with you. There's all kinds of options. Mac, do it. Yeah, copy that. Okay, good. Appreciate that. All right, this is WB7MAX, and we're having a group conversation here. Anybody want to talk? Tell me your call sign. KM5F. KM5F, Will, how are you doing? Well, you were asking if Jeff got through in Idaho and Montana. He's coming through fine here, KM5F. All right, that's a good signal report. Thank you for that. So Will, Keenal X-5 Foxtrot up in Idaho is able to hear Jeff AK6 OK on 100 watts because Jeff has a fabulous antenna array down there. And provided the band conditions are good, then we'll go with that. Thank you for that. Will, appreciate the signal report. Okay, any other comments, please? All right, is Beck Alfa 5 Yankee out there with us for the joke of the day? He sure is, waiting with bated breath. Well, we're waiting with bated breath too, brother, so lay it on us.
