### Bible Study Summary: Spiritual Gifts and Interdependence in the Church

#### Spiritual Gifts: God's Endowment for Service

During the Bible study, the group delved into the topic of spiritual gifts, emphasizing that these are divine abilities bestowed upon believers for the purpose of serving others. The discussion highlighted that spiritual gifts are not selected by individuals but are chosen and imparted by the Holy Spirit. This underscores the divine nature of these gifts and the importance of recognizing them as a means to serve the body of Christ. The group noted that every believer has a spiritual gift, and these gifts are detailed in various passages, including 1 Corinthians, Romans 12, and Ephesians 4. The diversity of these gifts leads to a beautiful interdependence within the church, where each member plays a unique and vital role.

**Themes:**
- The divine origin and purpose of spiritual gifts.
- The importance of recognizing and utilizing one's gifts for the benefit of others.
- The interdependence and unity fostered by the diversity of gifts.

**Discussion Questions:**
- How can we identify our spiritual gifts?
- What are some practical ways to use our gifts to serve others?
- How does recognizing the gifts of others contribute to unity in the church?

#### Interdependence and Unity in the Body of Christ

The discussion further emphasized the importance of interdependence and unity within the church. Each member has a unique role, and every part is essential to the body of Christ. The group highlighted the importance of recognizing and valuing the contributions of all members, including those whose ministries may be behind the scenes and often unseen. This interdependence fosters a sense of teamwork and mutual respect, essential for the healthy functioning of the church.

**Themes:**
- The necessity of every member's contribution to the church.
- The value of recognizing and appreciating the gifts of others.
- The importance of teamwork and mutual respect.

**Discussion Questions:**
- How can we better appreciate the contributions of those with less visible ministries?
- What are some ways to foster a sense of teamwork and mutual respect within our local church?
- How does the recognition of each member's unique role contribute to the unity of the church?

#### Gifts and Service: Humility and God's Preparation

The study also touched on the relationship between spiritual gifts and service. The group discussed how some believers have extraordinary abilities, while others have ordinary responsibilities. Regardless of the nature of the gift, all members should be willing to receive ministry from others, emphasizing the importance of humility in receiving ministry. The group also noted that God prepares those He calls, not the other way around, reinforcing the idea that our readiness and willingness to serve are essential for effective ministry.

**Themes:**
- The importance of humility in receiving ministry.
- God's preparation of those He calls to serve.
- The balance between extraordinary and ordinary responsibilities.

**Discussion Questions:**

- What does it mean to be prepared for ministry by God?
- How can we balance the recognition of extraordinary gifts with the value of ordinary responsibilities?

#### Local Church Emphasis

The group emphasized the importance of the local church in the exercise of spiritual gifts. Most references to "church" in the New Testament refer to local assemblies, where these gifts are primarily exercised. The discussion highlighted the importance of being involved in a local church for effective ministry, fostering a sense of community and mutual support.

**Themes:**
- The role of the local church in the exercise of spiritual gifts.
- The importance of community and mutual support within the local church.

**Discussion Questions:**
- How can we better engage with our local church to exercise our spiritual gifts?

Any check-ins, come now. All right, I had a couple things I had to take care of here. All right, WB7MA, X-Net Control for the West Coast Bible Study. We're going to get started with our Bible study. And we are in 1 Corinthians chapter 12, verses 12 through 31 for our study today. And this section, chapter 12, 13, and 14 deal with the issue of spiritual gifts. And a spiritual gift is simply a God-given ability for service to other people. So it's God-given. And as we saw last time, the Spirit distributes individually to each one as He wills. So we don't get to choose our spiritual gift. The Spirit chooses it for us and imparts it to us as a gift of His sovereign determination and grace. But the good news is everyone has a spiritual gift. In verse 11 it says, And so verse 7, And so verse 7, In verse 11, every man is given a gift as the Spirit will. So that's what we looked at yesterday. And so we saw that the purpose of spiritual gifts is not to edify or serve ourselves, but rather it is to serve others. And it's a God-given ability. So there's something above and beyond. what ordinary normal abilities are. And so these various spiritual gifts are listed in this passage, and we're going to be looking at another list today that includes some things that weren't on the list yesterday. And then, of course, there's a list in Romans chapter 12. There's also a list in Ephesians chapter 4. So there's various lists of these gifts listed, in various places in the scripture. There are various passages that deal with this whole subject matter. And this is a major section, but it certainly is not the only section. Now, Chapter 12 deals with the distribution of spiritual gifts in the assembly. Some have gifts, some have that gift. No one has all the gifts. So we need each other, and that's the thrust of chapter 12. And then chapter 13 deals with the limitations of spiritual gifts in the assembly. Spiritual gifts are limited in value. They are not nearly as important as love. And spiritual gifts are also limited in duration. Gifts are going to cease, it says very clearly, but it says that love goes on forever and ever. And while there's some discussion about when those gifts cease, nevertheless, they do cease. That's stated very clearly in chapter 12. But love never ends. Love goes on and on throughout all eternity. So while we're not going to have spiritual gifts throughout eternity, we certainly will have love throughout eternity. So chapter 13 talks about the priority of love and the eternality of love and the limited value and the limited duration of spiritual gifts. All right, then Chapter 14 deals with the regulation of spiritual gifts in the assembly. That is, how are they to be exercised? Is there to be chaos? Is there to be order? Are multiple people supposed to talk at once, or is only one person at a time supposed to talk? Are both men and women supposed to talk, or just men? All of those questions of the regulation of spiritual gifts are spoken of in chapter 14. So that's the big picture. Chapter 12 deals with the distribution of spiritual gifts. Chapter 13 deals with the limitations of spiritual gifts. And chapter 14 deals with the regulation of spiritual gifts in the assembly. So that's the lay of the land. Now, in this second part of chapter 12... He's talking here about the diversity of spiritual gifts in the assembly and how that is the basis for our interdependence, our cohesiveness, and our unity as a church body. And of course, he's writing to a local church, right? So he's talking about how members function within a local church in the exercise of their spiritual gifts. And the point is, we all have a different gift. Therefore, I have something that you can't do, and you have something that I can't do, and therefore we need each other. And so that's the important thrust of the passage here before us today. So the idea of interdependence, unity, and appreciation of the other, and working to serve the other. All right, that's where we're at, but before we get started, we want to open our time together in prayer. Will, can you like five thoughts, could you please open in prayer for us today? Sure, KM5F, gracious Heavenly Father, we thank you for this day and for the blessings of it. We just pray that you would work in each and everybody's heart today, that you would lift them up, that we'd be able to bring glory and honor to you. We also lift up those that are hurting, whether it's from health issues or... other issues, Lord. We ask for your blessings and guidance. We ask for your blessings on understanding your word a little better today. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. All right, real good. Thank you for that, Will. Appreciate that prayer. All right, Roger WB7VZL is going to read for us today. And Roger's going to read 1 Corinthians 12, verses 12 through 31. Go ahead there, Roger. WB7VZL, and reading this passage from the NASB. For even as the body is one, and yet as many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free; and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many. If the foot should say, Because I am not a hand, I am not part of the body, it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body. And if the ear should say, Because I am not an eye, I am not a part of the body, it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole body was hearing, where would the sense of smell be? But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body just as He desired. And if they were all one member, where would the body be? But now there are many members but one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you," or again, the head to the feet, "I have no need of you." On the contrary, it is much truer that the members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. And those members of the body which we deem less honorable, on these we bestow more abundant honor. And our unseemly members come to have more abundant seemliness, whereas our seemly members have no need of it. But God has so composed the body, giving more abundant honor to the member which lacked, that there should be no division of the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it. If one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. Now you are Christ's body, and individually members of it. And God has appointed in the Church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helps, administrations, various kinds of tongues: All are not apostles are they? All are not prophets are they? All are not teachers are they? All are not workers of miracles are they? All do not have gifts of healing, do they? All do not speak with tongues, do they? All do not interpret, do they? but earnestly desire the greater gifts, and I will show you a still more excellent way. Back to you, Max. Hi, Roger. Great reading. Thank you for that. Appreciate that. Okay, this is an interesting passage. There's lots here. Any comments on this section, please come down to the call sign. Okay, station attempting to check in to make a comment, please come again with your call sign. Okay, Scott, I'm able to copy. Can you relay? Let's try it one more time. I had a static crash right when you were saying something. Come again, I'll try to get you. Okay Scott, I heard a voice but unable to copy the words, can you give me a relay? I wish I could. My ears aren't working very well. And I should be able to decipher because he's coming in okay. But maybe Beck pulled him out. I'm not sure. South Alpha 5 Yankee, this is Paul inside Oscar Quebec. Joe again? I heard an assault side officer come back. Okay, that's Joe. KF7UOQ in Ridgefield, Washington. Joe, KF7UOQ, come back to us in the Roger Roger. Roger Roger. Okay, that's okay. We got it identified. That's Joe, KF7UOQ. Joe, good to have you with us. Thank you for being there. And we got you checked in. Joe, do you have a comment? Go ahead, try again. You can copy that. The comment was just focusing on realizing the gifts and recognizing the gifts and focusing on teamwork. Copy that. Recognizing the gifts and focusing on teamwork. Good point there, Joe. Appreciate you bringing that out. And you're right. What we have here is the illustration of the human body, right? Now, you have a hand. and you have a foot, and they are different from each other, but you can't do without either of them. You can't walk very well on your hands, and you can't grab stuff very well with your feet, but your feet are great for walking, and your hands are good for grabbing things. And so it is in the church, the spiritual gifts, are quite different from each other, but none of them are unnecessary, none of them are unimportant, and just as the various parts of your body work together in harmony in order to be able to accomplish the tasks that are before you, each part contributing something to the achievement of that task, so it is in the body of Christ. And so, appreciate that comment, Joe. Thank you for that. All right, any other comments? Please come down. All right, Katie. W7RKD, go ahead there, Burt. Yeah, that's W7RKD, Burt in Troy, Montana. How do I feel, aside being a body part of the body of Christ? And that's the important thing, that I'm a part of the body of Christ. I'm not. I'm not an external partner or something else like that, you know. But, yeah, I'm a part of this, just as you are a part of this, and anybody else who claims and holds Jesus Christ. But, you know, I'm happy just to be the water boy. It doesn't matter what position I have. Just like the eye. They all argue about being the eye, but they forget. The eye can't see anything without the optical nerve. The optical nerves stick out of the body, like, "Hey, here I am." No, it doesn't. It sits in the background. where you can't see it. But it sure has an important job. W7, Mark Gady. Yeah, I think you make a really important point there, Bird, and that is that a lot of the most important ministries that are done in the body of Christ are unseen and behind the scenes. And we tend to focus on those that are public and visible and that function in front of the entire congregation. But there's a lot of unseen activities that take place under the surface and behind the scenes. And those ministries are just as important You know, the people who serve, you know, the gift of help, the gift of mercy, those are huge in terms of their function and importance, but oftentimes not very well seen or even known about by very many people or any people at all. And so Bert, thanks for pointing that out. We don't have to all be prominent. We can operate behind the scenes and be effective and extremely useful in the kingdom of God. All right, good comment there, Bert. Thanks for that. All right, other comments. Come now. PDI. David, KK7 PDI. Go ahead. Yeah, thank you, Max. I appreciate that comment, and I just wanted to say, too, it's just like I'd rather be a doorkeeper in a house of mourning than to be in a house of praise. And the reason behind that is because man will reflect more in a house of mourning and on what's really important in this life. And of course the gifts go, I'm so grateful when I look within the church and the people with their different abilities that God has given them. It is an honor. It is a privilege. For instance, I sang at a point, and I just say this about humility, on international stage in front of Dick Van Dyke with a chorus. But I'm not a song leader. I love to sing. But I don't have the ability to be a good song leader, so I don't need singing. But on the same flight, you have to search out what God is giving you, what your abilities are. I looked over the years. I've worked and held positions in law enforcement, etc. And I had the ability in the military as well to lead men. And then to take those opportunities and use it for the gospel, because I would talk to men and lead men, but now to do it and take that ability that God's given me and switch it over to the gospel of Christ is a way to enhance those abilities. but you won't know unless you try. And that's my encouragement that would be to all those that don't know what their abilities are. I see people that have the ability to call people and to encourage them, and where many people, they just don't have the time or whatever, or they're not good at doing that. But what we all, and this is what is teaching here, all individuals, individual members work together, we're unified, we're one in Christ, and the will of God is being done. When all those abilities come together, the fullness of the riches of Christ are seen in His church. People, people, 7 Papa Delta, India, back to you, man. Yeah, David, thanks. Great comments. Yeah, you know, the gift of administration is one of the spiritual gifts. And, you know, that's the ability, as you said, to lead. And leadership is sorely needed within the church. Elders and pastors need to have the ability to lead, the gift of administration. And, you know, one of the things I'd like to point out here is that, for example, one of the spiritual gifts is the gift of giving. Okay? That's listed in some of the other passages here. in Romans chapter 12 in particular. And while we all give, some have the gift of giving. While we all show mercy, some have the gift of mercy. While we all serve, some have the gift of service. So all of us, for example, we all teach our children or our wives at a basic level. Some have the gift of teaching, but we all teach to a certain degree. And so as we look at these gifts, we have to recognize there's an extraordinary ability, which is a spiritual gift, and then there's just a functional ability that we all function out ordinarily because many of these gifts are just extraordinary expressions of an ordinary responsibility that we all have. And so just because I don't have the gift of giving doesn't mean I don't give at all. And just because I don't have the gift of mercy doesn't mean I don't show mercy at all. And so we need to understand that all of us have abilities at a basic level in all of these areas. But when it comes to selecting what your ministry is going to be, You want to do that ministry that's in the area of your giftedness. And so that's what we're looking at, and that's what we're looking for, and that's what we recognize is God's will for our life. What is my spiritual gift? And that's the area in which you minister as your primary ministry, though you may minister at a basic level in other areas. All right, other comments on this passage? Please come down to the call sign. Thank you. PDI, follow up. PDI, follow up. Go ahead. Hey, Max. You made a comment yesterday, and I really appreciated it, and it just came to my forethought now. And that is that there's times when I've been preaching, the gospel, whether it was here or over in the Philippines on missionary journeys, and doing that, that later somebody would talk to me. It just, again, shows the effectiveness of God's Word. But they would talk to me and say, man, this point that you brought out and you said this, and I'm just bewildered because I don't remember ever saying that. So I had to go back and re-listen to the lessons that I preach, and then I realized I said something I had no knowledge of. I don't understand it. But what I read and what I heard amazed me because there's many times in the lesson, I don't know where those thoughts come from, but I preach it based on my studies And then I say things that God has given me more ability to, let's just say, articulate it in such a way that I didn't realize I did. And, again, God is so wonderful in that. And those abilities, like I said, not everybody can be a preacher. Not everybody can be an elder in the church, a pastor. Not everybody can be a song leader. and giving. And like you said, some people are good as givers and some people are great at taking. And I don't, I don't dishonor either because in order to be a taker, you need to do that because the person that's giving is not without his blood as well or hers. So it just all comes together when we all function in that way. Tito Tito 7, proper job. We'll be back to you, Matt. Yeah, I think you make a really important point there that I want to focus on. But I want to acknowledge Gene, K7GWR from Tacoma, Washington. Gene, appreciate you being there. Sorry I mispronounced your name. That's Gene, K7GWR, Tacoma, Washington. Gene, you're second in your lot. Somehow my database had a little glitch in it. So, Gene, thanks for being here. Also, Phillip, K6HSV, Phillip, thank you for being here. Appreciate seeing you there on the Half Moon Bay SDR. All right, back to David, KK7PDI. David, you know, you made a really important point. Spiritual gifts are a God-given ability for service to other people. Well, you know, we need to be willing to receive gifts. the ministry of other people if they are going to have the privilege of exercising ministry. So, for example, if someone is going to show mercy, well, someone's got to be able to receive it, right? And if someone's going to exercise the gift of administration, somebody else has to be able and willing and glad to follow. And if somebody's going to exercise the gift of teaching, other people have to be willing to be taught. And so spiritual gifts are about us ministering to others, but they're also about us having the humility to be willing to be ministered to. Now, you know, one of the things about a Christian... The Christian has a servant's heart. He just wants to go out and serve. And he's kind of embarrassed about receiving ministry. He's happy to give it, but he's kind of reluctant to receive it because, like, who am I? I need to be giving, not receiving. Well, if other people are going to give, you've got to be able to receive, too. And so we have to be humble enough to recognize I cannot meet all the needs in my life, and I have to be willing to allow other people to exercise their gifts to meet my needs so that they can have the privilege of serving, and so I can receive the benefit of ministry that I'm not capable of doing myself. And so that's this issue of interdependence. And so the hand puts food in the mouth. And, of course, the mouth has been digested, and it sends blood back to the hand, so the hand can function. And so there's this constant giving and receiving, and we have to be willing to do both and be blessed in the giving and also allow others to be blessed in the giving and receive that blessing ourselves. So, Dave, thanks for making that point. And, you know, the other point you made is, yes, this is a God-given ability for service, and so we function way above and beyond our natural abilities. And that's how you know you have a spiritual gift, because you think, man, where'd that come from? I'm not able to do that. But God gave you the ability at that time, in that moment, to minister at a level and in a way, and to have insights and to say things that, in retrospect, you go, I could never do that again. God met me there, and God empowered and enabled me there. And, you know, there's no greater blessing. and to be in the middle of ministry and recognize you are a laborer together with God, and God is working in you and through you and with you to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you could have ever asked or thought that you could do in that situation. And there's nothing more exciting than to be in ministry and feel that power, that enablement, that inspiration, that guidance, those words to come, and you realize those are coming from outside yourself. All right, other comments. Please come down. uh papa alpha papa alpha go ahead all right i just i was trying to uh uh put my mind around everything that's assault uh said today and this is all in a church setting uh and and and that's awesome uh but then i looked at uh how this works with the uh west coast bible study net well You know, there's some that are sitting around this table this morning that have some really, really good gifts. And I think a very, very important gift are the gifts that we have. They were given gracefully. through the Lord, from the Lord there, Max. And we have to turn and give the Lord all the credit and take those gifts and turn it back and serve him. It's just like what you were saying about the food in the mouth and feeding the blood. You know, in ways we're using these gifts to glorify Him, but the gifts themselves come from Him. And then how does that work around this table? Well, there's many that point out some, you know, in discussions that we have day in and day out as we cultivate these nuggets that were laid out in Scripture. There are those that are very, very good at articulating and pulling them nuggets out and sharing them. in many different perspectives of what we're reading. For those of us that are growing and learning, and all of us are growing and learning. A point I wanted to make, Max, is those that share from time to time, or those that share every once in a while when God nudges them, that's a gift in itself. Because they may be sharing something that nobody else even thought of. I know, for instance, I know Beck himself has asked questions from time. And when he asked these questions, it was a light bulb moment for me, an aha moment. Well, if he would have kept silent, those aha moments would have never been cultivated. So everyone around this table has a gift, even if it's a thought or a question. It's something that can be laid out there, and we all, all of us can grow and learn there, Max. Thank you. Amen, Scott. And I think what you point out is no one is dispensable. Everyone has something to contribute. It reminds me of that passage in Ephesians chapter 4, where he talks about the exercise of spiritual gifts. And he says in Ephesians 4.16, "...from whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplies." according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, makes the increase of the body and the edifying of itself in love. So you're exactly right, Scott. There's no one who doesn't have something to contribute at some level and in some way. And it was just asking a question. That provokes discussion that often results in tremendous edification. that would never occur if that question wasn't asked. So, Scott, well said. Thank you for pointing that out. And I just want to encourage, you know, we have folks that speak up here quite often, but don't let that stop you from speaking up. You throw out your call sign, I'll see to it that you get heard. All right, WB7MAX here. We are quickly running out of time. We do have the Vintage Military Radio Network ahead of us. and I want to allow time for prayer. One of the things that I think we need to focus on here is in verse 13. Verse 13 says, For by one Spirit we are all baptized into one body. whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free, and have been all made to drink into one spirit. So there's a lot in that verse, but what we see is that every Christian has the Spirit of God dwelling in him, and that's what creates the unity between us. You know, when you run into a fellow Christian, there's instantly this kindred spirit between you and them. There's this connection. And that connection is the fact that they have the Spirit of God dwelling in them. You have the Spirit of God dwelling in you. And that affinity is recognized. That common salvation is shared. That regenerate nature connects with another regenerate nature. And so what we have to realize is that whatever our differences are as... As Bert W7RKD was saying, we're all members of that universal body of Christ that's made up of all believers that are alive upon the face of the earth. Hopefully, we're also members of a particular body of Christ manifested in a visible local church. And so we have these two concepts of the body, the universal body of Christ of all believers. and then the individual local bodies of Christ that are in local churches, which is where we exercise our spiritual gifts. When you look at all the spiritual gifts in this passage and in the other passages, other than the gifts of evangelism, they are exercised within the local church. So if you're going to have a place of ministry, it's important that you be involved in a local assembly. All right, any other final comments before we go to prayer? Please come down. Okay, we had a double there. I got a P in there. Station with a P in your call sign, come again. Okay, there's JR. JR, yeah, go ahead. We're listening. I seldom share, but I listen regularly, and I'm on the radio this morning, so you didn't see me on the SDR. I guess listening to Scott and yourself share there, I remember, and I felt the nudge, Scott, the nudge to mention this, that there was a time when I wasn't sure that I was ready to go out and minister, if you will, and I talked to one of my mentors, and my mentor said, J.R., it's not up to you. He said, the thing that's up to you is to be willing. Right. be willing to go out. He said, you need to remember that God does not call on the prepared. God prepares on the called on. God does not call on the prepared. God calls on the, God prepares the called on. So I've always had to remember that, that he'll be there to push me forward when the need is there. K6LBB. Yeah, JR, great signal. Thank you for popping in here. We've understood everything you said crystal clear. And you're exactly right. We have to be willing. And then we have to recognize God's going to prepare us. And, of course, we do our study, but, you know, it's God who gives the enablement. And that's a supernatural act. And, you know, one of the things, JR, I think is really important that you point out, and that is that ultimately we're not in control of how well it goes. You know, we can study, we can prepare, you know, we can exercise a different skill set, but in the end, it either falls flat or it gloriously succeeds based on what God chooses to do with it. And so, as we read earlier in this book, we are laborers together with God. You know, I plan Apollo's waters, but God grants the increase. And so, you're right. He doesn't, you know, call those who have their act together. He gets people through his giftedness to enable them. to be able to do things that ordinarily they could never do. JR, great comment. Thanks for that. Any other comments come now? ZXN. 5 Yankee. Okay, we had a double there. I got them both. We got Kevin, ZXN, and then we got 5 Yankee. Kevin, go ahead. KB7, ZXN, just quickly, and I just wanted to touch on what you pointed out at the end here, which I think is very important. You know, 115 times, you ever take the pen in your translation, the word church or ecclesia is mentioned in the New Testament. Every one of those times, with the exception of twice, Paul is speaking about a local church. And even here, Paul is talking to who? The first rule of hermeneutics, who is he speaking to? Well, he's speaking to the church here at Corinth. And so it's just important to, understand that most every time that the church is focused on in the Bible, he's talking about a local assembly, a local congregation. That is kind of built into the word church. It was a kind of word used civilly that was very familiar in the Greek states at the time of a local called out assembly, if you will. Here, the Lord has built His church, His local assemblies. So I think that's very important. The Holy Spirit will always draw people's to a local church. Twice, once in Hebrews and once in Ephesians, it's used universally as kind of a different context there. But the idea, really, of the universal church, I think, came and was perpetuated by the Catholic Church with the Catholic meaning universal. So just keep that in mind. KB7, Zedekin. Well said. Completely agree. The vast emphasis on the church in the New Testament is on the local church. Well said. All right, Beck Alfalfa, 5 Yankee, go ahead. Yeah, can I make my announcement that I made yesterday? No, we don't have time. I'm sorry. We need to go to prayer because we have a hard stop here at 6:50. Let's go from there back, sorry. All right, Al, KJ7QQH, please go ahead and close the prayer for us. We need to stop in eight minutes, so go ahead there, Al. Copy that, Pastor. Thank you. Good morning, everyone. I'm KJ7QQH. We ask that you lead them to be placed on earth. And we also pray for our nation's leaders and the legislation, both on state level and the national level, that they receive your guidance and direction for the greater good and also to glorify you. And as we pause today, those of us that might be watching the Super Bowl, we want to remember that there are options for entertainment and during the halftime show that we should be able to go about and choose wisely what those might be. that glorify you. And with that, Lord, we thank you for your goodness and your mercy and your grace. We pray that you just bring us back here again tomorrow for more of you and your word. And we thank you, each one of us, for the gift of your son, Jesus Christ. And it's through him that we pray all these things. Amen. This is KJ7Q28 returning back to you after a moment at Net Control.
