There you are. I can hear you now. Good morning there, Darrell. I appreciated you lifting me up in prayer this morning. Roger, roger. We've got a collection of Midwest Bibles to ask about. And, well, thank you for your prayers, too, for me. I had a good day yesterday. Good night. So, thank you for the prayers. I'll listen on the side. From Ham Lake, Minnesota, this is WB7AOT. Alrighty. Yeah, I slid into the second base there underneath the wire and took in your readings and whatnot as I was getting things fired up here. And seeing David there also. I haven't heard David this morning, but I know he's out there lurking. Thanks for stopping by there, Darrell. We'll be lifting you up in prayer this morning. Thank you much, Scott. Scott? Yeah, go ahead, Matt. How much are you pushing? You're hitting me with an S20+. We're doing about 600. Wow, you got a magic station. It's working really well, I like it. I changed out my balance here a month ago or so. I went with a DX engineering balance and Joe told me, my partner Joe said, they are heads above everything else. And I believe he's right. Well, thanks for the information. I appreciate that. Maybe later on I'll get a chance to exercise that. Yeah, I hope so. They're really, really nice. And you take them apart and they're really built well. And so, I put one up on my Yagi. And I liked it so well, I put one up here for my, I run a Cobra antenna, it's a goblet, and it works real well. So there you go. All right, looking for check-ins, looking for check-ins to the West Coast Bible Study Group, please call in 7 MPA. Hey, Mike Fox, Fox. Hey, good morning, Will. How are you doing, Will? I'm doing OK. Nice, balmy eight degrees here. Morning, staying by myself. Wow. That's a little chilly for my blood, but staying indoors by the fire. It's warmer than it has been, so it's very good. Staying by. Oh, wow. Moving up five degrees. Did AK-16 check in? I haven't heard him. Dan's here, N6C and I, but I haven't heard anything out of Jeff. A little times on the weekends, Jeff takes the weekends off. Okay. He sent me those Bibles and I really appreciate that, but he also sent me some kind of metal and it's beautiful. But what's good to me is it's really heavy for as small as it is. I was wondering what kind of metal it is. Yeah, I got a similar care package and yeah, it's like a paperweight and then a really nice card he sent me just encouraging me to get healed up. Right on. Good man, huh? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Jeff and I, we go back a few years. I met him up at CPAC, and him and my partner have had tables together. I wore a Fellowship of Christian Loggers hat or a sweatshirt like I usually do, and... And he looked at that and it was love at first sight. And he shared with me about his ministry and shared about the West Coast Bible Study. And here he is and the rest is history there, Vic. That's beautiful. I hope that I get to make it this year. M60 and I. Hey, morning there, Dan. Hey, good morning. Sorry I haven't been on the radio too much. I got COVID. Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Yeah, Jeff is running a little late. He's putting a UHF repeater up on Mount Baca this morning. I like the side better with the scripture on it. Danny, I'm sitting here looking at your address. I can't believe how close you are to where I used to live. We used to live on 34th Street in between E and I. Oh, yeah, and I'm up here off of Greenback, Elkhorn, and Willegra. Yeah, Roger, I know where you're at. Good morning. Doing a rundown. David, KK7PDI. Do you want a voice check-in or do you want a FDR check-in? Please call. Well, we're going to put David down as an FDR check-in. We'll look for one last check-in. One last check-in. Please call N7NPA. AK6OK, good morning Scott. Hey, morning there Jeff. I hear you're getting ready to run up to the mountain top. Yeah, we are just like you guys do up there. Well, I hope everything goes well. You'll be up in the sunshine, it's going to be warm, it's going to be a beautiful day. There is no question that's a perfect day to go up there. I got you down here Jeff. And I see Carol on there. Carol, speak to me. Okay, got you down. Hear you loud and clear there, Carol. Appreciate you being here. All right, looking for check-ins to the West Coast Bible Studies group before we get going here. Please call and submit a kit. WB7V, Zedell. Okay, Roger. Hang on there for a second, Beck. Roger, I can hear you, but you're way down in the mud. Yeah, likewise. So... We're just not having very strong bands lately. Over. Yeah, it really surprises me because everybody's, everybody's, Roger, just booming in here this morning. So it may be band conditions. That may change or I might double look at your settings. But it could very well could be that. I was just surprised because usually you're just booming in here. Yeah, you're just above my noise. And so, yeah, it doesn't surprise me that I'm not getting back to you, over. Yeah, okay, yeah. Definitely about a 5 by 7 when a lot of times you're 10 over. So it could be bank conditions. Thanks for being here, Roger. I sure appreciate you and the friendships that you and I have had that go back decades now. So thank you for stepping in. All right, before we get going, I want to go over the... I think I got everybody on the SDR's. There's Joe. And there's Keith. And Phillip. I got Phillip. And I think, oh, there's Dave, W7CX. Good morning Dave. I appreciate you being here. And, all righty. Well, let's see here. Jerry, could you open this up and pray this morning? All right. Come to your glory, Lord. Pray for your grace for us today. We give you praise for another day on this old earth. and the ability for us by radio to gather together and study your word. Be with each one of us today as we go about our day, keeping this well and safe. In Jesus' name, amen. Alrighty, appreciate that, Jerry. And we're going to be looking at the first seven verses here in 1 Corinthians chapter 4. And in a moment, Jerry, I'll ask you to read that. You have such a great signal. But Corinth, if we think about Corinth, like maybe Seattle, or maybe San Francisco, or maybe even Coos Bay. It was a port city, a bustling port city. And these port cities can be a little rough and tumble, you know, as the ships come in and the ships go out with cargo. And a lot of sailors, a lot of those that... that walk on the rough side of the tracks, you might say. And Paul come in there in his second missionary journey and set up the church. And in some ways it can be a lot like our marriage is when we first are first getting to know each other you know the foundation is soft but we're going to persevere and that's a little bit of the setting here so just keep that keep that in mind And then, so with that, Jerry, can you read 1 Corinthians chapter 4, 1 through 7? All right. New American Standard, chapter 4. What man regardeth in this manner as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God? In this case, Moral, it is required of stewards that one be found trustworthy. But to me it is a very small thing that I may be examined by you or by any human court. In fact, I do not even examine myself. I am conscious of this thing against myself, yet I am not by this acquitted. But the one who examines me is the Lord. Therefore do not go on at the judgment before the time, but wait until the Lord comes, who will both bring delight to the human judgment, and dispose the motives of men's hearts. And in each man's praise will come to him from God. What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it? Back to you, K.P. Southern University. Great reading, Jerry. I appreciate that. A couple things I want to point out as we continue to frame this of what we're looking at today is that you'll notice in, well, right there in verse 1, it says, "Let a man regard us." there was a lot of sailors, a lot of those that were down below in the decks of the ship, rowing some of these boats around, you know, receiving orders from the captain down below. They were like servants. So Paul is running this word servant in correlation to what he and Apollos is is taking on that singular role in shoring up in this letter, in their shoring up into this part of... putting this church in court. So that's a little bit something that we keep on in the background. Along with, he also says stewards. And he and Apollos are stewards of the mysteries of God. And And that word "stewards" comes from the Greek "okonomos," which they are managers, and they handle property, and they handle the food, and they are the managers. They are the team leaders that's putting all together. So I put that in that framework, and now we'll go back and see what happens. And as you point out, the term that's on here is that the bottom of the ship rolls. In other words, I'm here safely moving the ship. It's not my ship, but my role as one-tenth of an authority is to be faithful to the one-tenth of a ship. to apply the paint. He uses us as servants to spread the gospel and build the kingdom. And when we go out and spread the gospel and build the kingdom, a lot like... Yeah, I wish I would have been hearing Kevin's comments. He's not coming in today very strongly, and neither is anybody thus far. But I was just thinking about Jeff's comments also yesterday about bringing up some of the why questions. And then my second favorite text in this passage that keeps one from being too arrogant or boastful, as Paul is indicating, when I think of what does this person deserve this or that, I mean, oh, the old nature, you know. It brings me back to grace. That verse brings me back to grace. down the road. And that may be after we enter into the gates of heaven, or it may be decades later, it will be revealed. The key is, it will be revealed. But we just have to wait. We have to have patience. We have to understand that it isn't about us. Yeah. I remember when I was a little boy, we had two horses in a field. And every once in a while, they would, I don't know if they were still in whiskey or what, if it was a change of weather or what, but they would run around the field prancing. if we put ourselves in that mindset, because it's not about us. It's not about us. And then that key line that Roger wanted us to point out, it says, what do you have that you do not receive? So let's put our name in there. The Lord's provision is the only possible way this could happen. And we have to remember that. And when people start throwing accolades our way, when it's the Lord's business, be careful on how you accept that, over. Yeah, that's exactly right, Jeff. And I really appreciate that. I want us to, for a moment, I want us, for a moment, picture where we're at. And where we're at, well, we're at the West Coast Bible Study. But the metaphor we use is, KJ7BA and then we have BERT W7RKD and we have KEAP K7ANED and Joe KF7UOQ all of you have chairs and we're all sitting together we look at each other and each one of us has different You know, I really enjoy what Beck brings to the table a lot like other people. And the questions that he asks polishes my iron. And so it's a lot like the human body, and Scripture dives into that. You know, the ear was polished. We are faithful to the Word. It's not about them. And all of us are called. As you point out, everyone, like 1 Peter 4.10, as God bestows gifts upon us, we are to be faithful stewards, to be servants of one another. And it's not about us. It is about God. 200 stories, 300 stories, some of them are way above the skyline. That's how the world measures sin. If they tell you a little white lie, well, shoot fire. That's just a building with five stories in it. If we do something really, really bad, He doesn't measure by the world's standards. And then another point that Kevin pointed out was God's measuring stick is faith. You know, the faith of a mustard seed. We can move mountains. And so that's... The steward and the servant. And I didn't catch his name, Jeff. This is Chaplain Brown. They call him the prayer boss in the military. All right, all right. Well, how do you top that? As we prepare to... Father, as we gather around this table, every single one of us is warm and fuzzy about this news, of this email that our brother just shared, just witnessed. You know, it's kind of like what Kevin was just alluding to. And you have tapped Chaplain Brown, the prayer boss, to come back to San Diego and now take charge of overseer of 40 ships. And his connection with... this table, we recognize as prayer warriors for this ministry that we are oarsmen down in the bottom, assisting in taking this ministry forward, your ministry. So we see this unfold right before our eyes the glory in putting a hand of healing upon Ed, a hand of healing upon Ann, and a good band this morning for the most part. So we just give you glory in that. Father, we give you glory that Mike's nephew, Daryl, had a successful open-heart surgery, that it all went well. And just a one-two punch that their mom, Barbara, can see that you are working alive and well in her immediate family. First with Dale and now with Meryl. And Father, we just pray that her eyes can be opened, that she can see this for what it is. That it's all in your time. So we lift Mike's family up to you and we give you... the wisdom of the doctors that's going to first be consulting with Sandy, that they can recognize if this is truly what she needs. And whatever it is, Father, we're just rowers in this ship, the bottom servants that we give you glory. we can take the you right out of scripture and insert our name and that you have glenn in your hand father uh we want to lift up uh dan here this morning as he continues to uh reel from uh from this covid flu and father i just pray that he can get back on his feet asap So, Father, I just pray that Dan can get well and healed up. Father, we looked up Pete's Bible leader, Bill. He has got a little myth in his engine of life that... uh he's just not feeling on top of his game father we just ask that you put a hand upon bill that he can feel your presence that uh whatever's aiming him including uh years around the sun that uh that he can uh be a faithful servant and uh and be pain-free as he leads Pete's Bible study. Father, we are asking that you continue to be with the doctors that are overseeing Lucas and just weighting this MRI on this mass in his brain that's causing this hearing loss. Father, we lift up Lucas to you. And we lift up Jerry and Al's son, Fred, as he prepares to come back from Missouri. And he has been assisting his brother, John, in his cancer treatment. And we just pray for traveling mercies. This little stop in Bonita, Oregon, is just another leg as he goes on up to Sitka. and then returns back to the cannery, keeping everything working and moving. So we just pray that Fred can have a blessed time. Father, I'm with my brothers, Dave and Will and Kevin. and say, uh, uh, that check in, and those that SDR. There's those that stand with the door to our Bible study wide open, listening in, in the shadows, in the back. We call them the silent multitude. And, Father, you never made it a heart that you didn't love. And so, Father, I just pray that the silent multitude who listen to the West Coast Bible study, whether it's... Uh, uh... in employment situations. Father, I just pray that all of us will seek your wisdom today. Father, coming alongside in a similar ministry that we talk about when we talk about operational worship is the Fellowship of Christian Loggers. going throughout the continents, into the little logging camps in Africa, a big presence in the Scandinavian countries, along with in Minnesota, the South, here in the Pacific Northwest, all sharing the gospel, building the kingdoms, inside the logging ministry. Father, I just pray for those to step in the harvest. The harvest is plenty and the workers are few. Father, we never heard Mark this morning. We recognize that he jumped on a plane and he was, I believe, going to Southern California. And so he's been gone. Father, just pray for Mark. Give him the protection that he needs. Father, he knows tightly And he's concerned about Tyler that has a struggling drug addiction. And Mark's a moral friend who has these health issues. Father, I just pray that you put a blanket of healing inside Mark's soul. Father, as we think about these issues that we have, we give you praise. So, Father, all these praises, prayers, and exaltations come through that shed blood that George was thirsty. And all of us together, we say, Amen. All right. I hope it's a good purpose for all of us today to have fair winds and following seas. We meet every single day and have since 1957 right here on 3.975. Yeah, yeah, that would be a real experience there, Jeff. I'll share that with Pastor Max, and we'll put that front line in center, no? Yeah, we have a lot to share about today, don't we? Well, good job, you guys, and everybody involved in this match is a major part of what's going on here. It's a result of continual prayers from all you folks and your families that makes this machine run. Hey, Becky, is that fun news? Yeah, I couldn't believe it. I mean, it is a miracle. Yeah, it's nice to witness that while it's happening. Morning, Jeff. All righty. We have another station in there, Beck. Go ahead, another station. All right. Yo, what's the joke? Oh, if you keep... Give them the joke before they, uh, slide down the band. Okay, that was a double. Okay, go ahead with the joke. Are you okay with that, Scott? Absolutely, I said, uh, give them the joke before they slide down the band. Oh, OK. What do you get when you go to a silent auction? Beats me. Anyone else? I'll bite. A dog whistle and two mines. I'm faking. It's a silent auction? My head hurts. Okay, well thanks for stopping by Peter. Yeah, really encourage you to participate. I'm just the stand-in guy and Max will be back tomorrow. So KT6, KT stroke 7, enjoy, have a blessed day. Let you and Jeff carry on. And 7 MPH. Alright sir, you have a good one as well. 73 inch. Yeah, it looks like 3960 might be open. Take a listen and see. 60? Correct, 60. It won't work. There's a bunch of guys that I was just going to go to 3959. One KC below that, so that's probably not going to work. I'm going to stay here, guys. Is there anything else going on here? No, no, just have at it. Okay, and thanks, guys. I appreciate it. Hey, Peter, we've got to leave. We're heading up to the hill in just a minute, so I've got to go load the car. All right. I've got to slide down the car for you and Peter. Carry on, anybody else that would like. And we'll look forward to catching up with you guys tomorrow, Ward Will and the Crip Test at Rice. In seven minutes, Peter. Okay.
